Last chapter showed you one of the key characters that would play a pivotal role in this fic and made a suitable effort in taking down Yuu Amano, yet the Xros Heart member managed to escape and saved his friends but is injured in the process. With this, Taiki is going to be featured here to learn what has caused his friends to get hurt and what he is about to learn on who did this to them.

Meanwhile, Team Gaim will be shown struggling at the team rankings as they realized that the Invess Game tournament is no easy thing or laughing matter, especially when Team Baron challenged them to a match to show who is the "show-stopper" of the bunch.

And lastly, this new arc will show you a new device that may be related to the appearance of the "Armored Fighter", as how Zangetsu appeared and why he appeared in the first chapter along with the three other "Armored Fighters".

The next day, Taiki had just finished his class and is now heading to the club room where "Team Gaim" is hanging out and recalled that they are going to practice their dance move as the team is ready to participate in the qualifying match for the dance contest and Taiki is told to visit the club room so as to give his insight, suggestion and advice on what the team should and shouldn't do, in which he accepted it without question.

However, he got a text message from Nene Amano, who is currently in Hong Kong due to her "idol" duties, and there he saw her text in which it stated that Yuu and Tagiru are at Kyoto Hospital and Taiki sent a text message to Akari that he is taking an emergency leave and could not head for the club room as he is seen running towards the school gate and heading for the hospital to check out his friends' conditions.

"Yuu...Tagiru...what happened?! Who did this to you?!"

Ch. 8: Chīmueru Gaimu Tōsō

At the streets of Kyoto, you can see Taiki running as he is filled with concern after reading Nene's text message that Yuu and Tagiru are hurt, and he wondered if they were assaulted by muggers or any criminal elements, knowing that Yuu is now well-versed in martial arts and is teaching Tagiru on self-defense methods, as it seemed to be unbelievable that his two friends got hospitalized that easily. He hoped that whoever did this to them, it wasn't Digimon-related, or else they would have a new problem to face.

"I hope they're okay..."

By then Taiki arrived at Kyoto General Hospital and there he went straight to the nurses' station and asked for the names of the two persons in question, and there he is told to head for the third floor, which Taiki chose to use the stairs instead of the elevator, and he hurriedly climbed the stairs and he is mentally preparing himself to see what would become of his two friends, and prayed that it won't be THAT serious.

"Please be okay, you two...!"

Arriving at the room where Yuu and Tagiru's names are posted, Taiki is surprised to see Airu's name among the listed, and he breathed in before entering the ward, and as he entered, he is taken aback at the sight before him, where the scene shows that the three teens are on the same side, divided by curtains, and there he saw Yuu asleep, but his chest was covered with bandages and he can see blood stains slightly smeared, and then saw Airu asleep as well, then he saw Tagiru waking up yet he is moaning in pain.

"Oww..."

There Taiki approached the now-awakened Tagiru and the two talked, and there he is told about what really happened, and there a heated discussion took place with Taiki becoming more and more concerned.

"What? A white armored assailant that looked like a samurai?"

"Yeah..."

"And...?"

"The forest...it seemed...enchanted..."

"What else?"

"The inhabitants...they resembled Digimons...similar to the ones used in the Invess Games..."

"Seriously..."

"I am..."

Their discussion halted briefly as Tagiru paused to catch his breath since he is still injured with only bruised ribcage, but then resumed their discussion when he is okay to talk, in which the told Taiki about the mysterious forest, the Invess Digimon, and the mysterious "Armored Fighter" that resembled a samurai, and Taiki is shocked when told how Zangetsu was able to defeat Yuu, who at that time fighting as Mage.

"Yuu was...defeated...?"

"That's right..."

"How...?"

"Even though Yuu was fighting using his powers as a wizard...he was...outclassed...the samurai-armored guy...his power is on a different level..."

"And he even harmed Airu...?"

"Yeah...looked to me that the guy wanted the forest to remain secret...hence his actions towards us..."

"Darn...I didn't..."

"Hah...hah...!"

Tagiru paused again to catch his breath since his ribcage would "act up", and there a nurse came and advised Taiki to let Tagiru "take it easy" since he and his friends were admitted last night and is still under medication. Taiki nodded and told Tagiru to rest as he will tell Akari and Zenjirou about what he had just learned. As Tagiru is resting, Taiki glanced at Airu, seeing that her waist area is covered in bandages and then at Yuu. He felt concerned about how the Invess Game is acting about, and wondered if a new threat is hitting Kyoto yet he couldn't do anything for now as his actions to expose the dangers would cause a panic among the residents and tourists.

"Blast it...!"

By then, Nene arrived and almost shrieked upon seeing Yuu's condition and Taiki managed to calm her down as the two began to discuss about what he just learned from Tagiru.

"Yuu!"

"Nene!"

"My baby brother...!"

"Calm down! He's okay!"

"But..."

"Let's talk outside..."

"O-okay..."

"Now listen..."

Taiki and Nene discussed more about what they just learned, and up until now, they realized that their Digimon partners are still in the process of rebuilding their kingdom, and for now Taiki can only suggest is to be vigilant and keep things on tab as they can't afford to cause unnecessary ruckus and wait for Yuu and Tagiru to recover from their injuries before they can make their move, while suggesting that it would be best to see if an Invess Digimon would cause trouble in Kyoto before making any plans.

The next day, at a park in Kyoto, Team Gaim are practicing their dance move in preparation for entering the dance contest sponsored by the enigmatic Yggdrassil Corporation, in which a cash prize, as well as a chance to become professional dancers, are on the line, and the team are working hard to perfect their moves while keeping up with their studies. Despite this, the team's morale was shaky as of late, as the team were defeated three times in a row from various teams within the Invess Game tournament, as other teams, such as Team Invitto and Raid Wild defeated Team Gaim, resulting in the dance club to fall 15th place in the team standings, and if they lose five more games, Team Gaim will be eliminated from the tournament, and though Akari and Zenjirou didn't looked concerned, other members, such as Kazu, Kenta, and Rika, appeared to be, as they enjoyed "moderate moments" playing the Invess games.

"Man...this sucks!"

"Yeah..."

"I hate this...especially with losing consecutively!"

"We got to do something!"

"If we lose five more games...we're out!"

"I can't stand this! I want to win even more!"

"Let's work hard!"

"Yeah!"

"Me too!"

"Okay...break time is up!"

As Akari told her friends that break time is up, the team resumed their practice time in dancing, but after a few minutes, someone turned off the radio, rudely interrupting their practice session, and there they saw who did this,it was members of Team Baron, whose members include:

- Katsuharu

- Teppei

- Teruo

However, neither Ryouma or Ren are there, but despite this, Team Baron is currently ranked # 1 in the team standings and is a force to be reckoned with within the Invess tournament, but this also made them a bit of a bully as they intimidate their opponents in to accepting their challenge and won their games. Having noticing Team Gaim for some time, and gaining interest in the stage that Team Gaim is using, Team Baron decided to gaud them in to accepting the challenge, with the usage of the stage as a wager, and they did so by bullying Rika.

"Let's fight..."

"You...!"

"How about it? If you beat us...you'll get higher in the rankings...but..."

"Huh?"

"If you lose...we take the stage."

"No way!"

"So...too scared? Go play with your barbie dolls..."

"WHAT WAS THAT?! FINE! I'LL TAKE YOU ON!"

Akari tries to play the peacemaker of the group, but even she was insulted, and seething at how Team Baron treated girls with impurity, Rika accepted and the stage is set for an Invess battle, attracting the attention of fans and other gamers as Rika brought out her Lock Seed, with Katsuharu brought out his, which resembled a pineapple. A "holographic referee" appeared and the battle begins with both Team Gaim members and the crowd began cheering as two, dog-sized Invess Digimons appeared via a "portal" and the two faced off within the "projection ring".

"Go Rika!"

"Get them Katsuhara!"

"Win this one for Gaim!"

"Beat that bitch!"

"Show Baron who's the boss!"

"We will win this one!"

"Go Gaim go!"

"Beat them up!"

As the battle went on, both both Katsuharu and Rika are fighting using the Ivess Digimons and they appeared to be evenly matched, but something is amiss, as Teppei is hiding behind a tree and uses a slingshot to hit Rika's hand which caused her to release her hold on her Lock Seed, and a twist took place as the "ring" "disappeared" and the Invess being controlled by Rika began to act on its own, going after Rika, and the crowd watches on as they are clueless as top what took place.

To Be Continued...
