Last chapter showed you the results of the Invess Game between Team Baron and Team Gaim, in which Akari and her friends lost because of Team Baron's cheating, and Henry is forced to meet with Sid and was given an offer on how to help the team's morale, in which the results are yet to be finalized but still Henry is listening more about what Sid has to offer, unsure whether to accept it or not.

In this chapter, you will get to see what the result of the "deal" is and this is where the FATE starts to revolve as it involves Taiki being the first to be affected by what the premonition that the "mysterious girl" has predicted.

"Hello, Mr. Wong..."

"Are you Sid? The Lock Dealer?"

"Yes, speaking..."

"How did you know my number...?"

"I have my ways...but anyway...I heard that your team is in a bad spot right now..."

"Yes...but I don't want my team get involved too much in those kind of games..."

"But I think I can help you and lift your team's morale...not to mention that I will be willing to give you an offer on how to avoid getting eliminated outright from the rankings..."

"What? And what can you do to help my team?"

As the discussion took place, the bartender identified as Kiyojiro Bandou, could only look on as he is wary of Sid ever since becoming a frequent customer in the snack bar as well as selling Lock Seeds to selected customers, but since no form of violence is made here as well as selling Lock Seeds are legal, plus being a steady customer, Brando couldn't bring himself to evict Sid since Sid is paying his orders well and that conducting business also attracted customers at the snack bar.

Ch. 10: Mori ni Hairu

Much later, classes at Kyoto University has ended, and the dance club members decided to go home for now as they got a text message from Henry in which the message stated that there would be no club meeting for now, but as the others have left, Akari got another text message where in she is told to meet him at a vacant lot within a subdivision within Kyoto, and she hurriedly left the university to meet with him, wondering if the secret meeting has anything to do with Team Gaim's involvement in the recent Invess tournament.

"Henry...what do you have in mind...?"

At the snack bar, where the the name is now revealed to be "Drupers", several customers came flocking in, and while Bandou is pleased at how business is blooming, he is quite suspicious that most of the dining customers came to see Sid, as their reasons for coming to the snack bar is to purchase Lock Seeds from him, and Sid is pleased at how business is growing, not caring what else would happen as long as he sells his products without problems, and is rather pleased that the Invess Games are becoming the trend of Japan, especially in Kyoto.

"I want a Lockseed!"

"Me too!"

"Give me a strong one!"

"A Class-A one!"

"I wanna strong one...something that'll send me up on the top of the ranking!"

"I have the money! Give me the strongest one you got!"

"Easy, everyone...you'll get your Lockseed...just fall in line and things would go smoothly..."

"Okay..."

"You heard him...fall in line!"

"Hey...I was here first!"

A waitress then approached Brando and asked why he is letting Sid sell his products here at Drupers as she sees this Invess Games craze nothing more than a "waste of time", but Brando replied that while he is suspicious of Sid, he sees the "dealer" not doing anything illegal, and as long as illegal wares are not involved, such as drugs, and as long as he is paying for the food and drinks he ordered, Sid can't be evicted since he is a steady, paying customer.

"Boss..."

"Yes?"

"Is it okay for him to hang out at our bar?"

"For now."

"You sure?"

"As long as he doesn't cause trouble...and thanks to him we got lots of customers here..."

"Though they're only here for his products..."

"Well, at least they're also buying our snacks and food..."

As Sid distributes the Lock Seeds to buyers, according to the orders (the Lock Seeds sold are according to class ranks), Sid pondered on what Henry Wong is doing at the moment after "closing" a "shady deal" which he believes would change the course of the Invess Games and is confident that whatever would happen, it would make things more interesting and entertaining, and then he resumes selling the Lock Seeds to his customers who would, and could, afford it.

Elsewhere within Kyoto, Taiki is pondering on whether to visit Yuu and Tagiru at the hospital as he wondered if Yuu is awake and recovered enough to talk, as he wanted to hear his side on what went on at the "mysterious forest" and what he and Airu learned about that area while at the same time to confirm if they really encountered a white-colored "Armored Fighter" that resembled a samurai who attacked Yuu and Airu. He wondered if there is some conspiracy involved as to why the mysterious fighter attacked Yuu and even laid a hand on Airu.

"Maybe I should get to the bottom of this..."

By then, he received a text message from Henry and when he read it, he was surprised to see see BOTH a text and a picture message, so he head off towards the specific meeting place that Henry mentioned on the message, and there he would bring up the topic about the nature of the Invess Games and about the Digimons involved, expecting a difficult time to convince him about the existence of REAL Digimons.

"I hope Henry would grasp at what I would be telling him about the nature of the Invess Digimons..."

About 30 minutes later, Taiki arrived at a vacant lot, and there he is surprised to see Akari waiting there and she too is surprised to see Taiki and the two approached each other to talk, and there both realized the reasons for coming at this place upon learning that each of them were summoned by Henry, and when Taiki showed her the text and picture message from Henry, Akari realized that Henry did something in order to help out Team Gaim in order to rise their spirits and morale.

"Taiki...then..."

"Yeah..."

"Then Henry called us here...to help out club...to raise our spirits...especially Rika..."

"So, has Henry arrived yet?"

"I don't know...just arrived here myself..."

"Then let's wait..."

"Should we tell him about the Digimons..."

"That's part of the reason why I came to see him..."

As the two waited for Henry, in which they noticed that another 30 minutes have passed, and both wondered what is taking him for so long, but then their attentions were attracted upon seeing a "portal" at the wall of an abandoned house, and there Taiki noticed what is shown at the other side, resembling an "enchanted forest" filed with trees, and Akari noticed it too, wondering if this is another "pathway" leading to the Digimon World, which Taiki is apprehensive if that were the case.

"Taiki...look!"

"That looks like...a portal..."

"Do you suppose...Henry went in there...?"

"Akari...you're not thinking about..."

"What if...?"

"But..."

"Let's go and take a look!"

"Okay,,,but stay close to me..."

Driven by curiosity, Taiki and Akari entered the portal, and to their surprises, they find the "contents" of the "other side" in which it consisted of a mysterious, enchanted forest, and as they began to explore the area, they find most of the landscape covered with grasses and trees, making it appeared to be a real forest and this made both teens recall their earlier times when they first started out visiting the Digimon world that resulted in them and Zenjirou forming the Xros Hearts as well as encountering Shoutmon a few years back.

"Wow...a real forest..."

"You're right..."

"This takes us a while back...do you recall...?"

"Yeah...when we first encountered Shoutmon...leading the Xros Haert army...camping in the forest...with Zenjirou tagging along..."

"And that led us to meet with Anouma and Nene..."

"And defeating the Bagura Army..."

"Four years have passed...but seeing this forest made me feel..."

"...nostalgic"

While looking around, Taiki wondered if the Invess Digimons that everyone is using in their matches are this forest's inhabitants, and began to piece together about what he saw during Team Baron's match against Team Gaim, and he wondered if the Invess Digimon that is about to attack Akari is really that wild yet she was able to control it at first, and sensed that maybe the Invess Digimons can only be controlled as long as the user holds on to the designated Lock Seed.

However, his musing was interrupted when Akari pulled him as both hid behind a huge thick tree to shield themselves from prying eyes, and when Taki asked why, Akari pointed out to him why she hid themselves, and both realized the reason why, and this made the two teens stunned upon seeing the scene in front of them as the scene showed that several inhabitants are there doing their natural thing - Invess Digimons. There were about four of them and are picking up fruits from trees in front of them, eating them.

"Taiki...look!"

"They're..."

"Just like the Invess Digimon we summon using our locks!"

"Looks like we discovered something here..."

"I have a bad feeling about this, Taiki..."

"We'd better leave..."

"But Henry could be here..."

"..."

"Taiki...are you listening to me...?"

While watching, Taiki noticed a fruit from the tree he and Akari are hiding, and instinctively picked one, as he stared at it, he unknowingly felt drawn to the fruit, as if he is tempted to open it and take a bite, but somehow he was able to resist yet his musing was snapped when Akari pulled him away as something caught their attention, in which a humanoid-looking Invess Digimon appeared and is ready to attack them, which both teens are surprised to see that they are about to be attacked.

"RRRRAAGGHHH!"

"Whoa!"

"Eeekkk!"

"Akari!"

"Taiki!"

"Come on!"

"KKKKYYYAAHHH!"

"RRRAAGGGHHH!"

The Invess Digimon resembled that of a humanoid-looking white tiger, and slashes a tree with its paws which snapped the tree in two, and the two teens realized that they have to get away from here, and escape in order to escape possible death though Taiki wondered if Henry is still around or not, but for now his and Akari's safeties is their priority at the moment, and both teens ran for their lives as the Invess Digimon gives chase.

It looked like Team Gaim is in a pinch again as Taiki and Akari entered a portal which connects Kyoto to a strange forest, where the inhabitants - which turn out to be Invess Digimons - reside, and while looking for Henry, they instead encountered trouble as an Invess Digimon is after their lives.
