This chapter will take you to where the last chapter left off, in which Taiki and Akari are in a life and death situation as an inhabitant of that strange forest goes after them, while at the same time it is yet to determine what has happened to Henry Wong after the device that Sid gave him was all that is found there. The two teen members of Xros Heart will have to outwit their attacker in order to survive this dilemma.

At the same time, another of the "Armored Fighters" you saw from chapter 1 will finally appear.

Outside the portal, which leads to Kyoto, a man in a business suit is holding a cellphone and is talking to someone, and there you can hear the conversation and the discussion appeared tro be that of someone has entered the portal and went inside the mysterious forest, and the caller responded to the man in business suit and gave him the orders, which the man nodded in the instructions he was given to him.

"You say two teenagers went inside that portal...?"

"Yes, sir...a boy and a girl...they appeared to be in search for another guy who entered the portal earlier..."

"Hmm...this is interesting..."

"What should I do, sir...?"

"Stay there and wait...but make sure you hid yourself..."

"Are you sure...? But what if...?"

"I have made preparations for that..."

"Very well, sir..."

Ch. 11: Hanaichi: Armored Fighter Gaim

While looking around, Taiki wondered if the Invess Digimons that everyone is using in their matches are this forest's inhabitants, and began to piece together about what he saw during Team Baron's match against Team Gaim, and he wondered if the Invess Digimon that is about to attack Akari is really that wild yet she was able to control it at first, and sensed that maybe the Invess Digimons can only be controlled as long as the user holds on to the designated Lock Seed.

However, his musing was interrupted when Akari pulled him as both hid behind a huge thick tree to shield themselves from prying eyes, and when Taki asked why, Akari pointed out to him why she hid themselves, and both realized the reason why, and this made the two teens stunned upon seeing the scene in front of them as the scene showed that several inhabitants are there doing their natural thing - Invess Digimons. There were about four of them and are picking up fruits from trees in front of them, eating them.

"Taiki...look!"

"They're..."

"Just like the Invess Digimon we summon using our locks!"

"Looks like we discovered something here..."

"I have a bad feeling about this, Taiki..."

"We'd better leave..."

"But Henry could be here..."

"..."

"Taiki...are you listening to me...?"

While watching, Taiki noticed a fruit from the tree he and Akari are hiding, and instinctively picked one, as he stared at it, he unknowingly felt drawn to the fruit, as if he is tempted to open it and take a bite, but somehow he was able to resist yet his musing was snapped when Akari pulled him away as something caught their attention, in which a humanoid-looking Invess Digimon appeared and is ready to attack them, which both teens are surprised to see that they are about to be attacked.

"RRRRAAGGHHH!"

"Whoa!"

"Eeekkk!"

"Akari!"

"Taiki!"

"Come on!"

"KKKKYYYAAHHH!"

"RRRAAGGGHHH!"

The Invess Digimon resembled that of a humanoid-looking white tiger, and slashes a tree with its paws which snapped the tree in two, and the two teens realized that they have to get away from here, and escape in order to escape possible death though Taiki wondered if Henry is still around or not, but for now his and Akari's safeties is their priority at the moment, and both teens ran for their lives as the Invess Digimon gives chase.

After several minutes of running, the two teens stopped for a while as they hid behind a thick tree and are resting as well as figure out what to do next, seeing that without their Digimon partners, they are facing imminent danger unless they could get help, in which Akari attempts to call Zenjirou on her cellphone, but that isn't working realizing that her cellphone has no signal coverage, and Taiki peeked to see if their pursuer is still there. He is still wondering if Henry is still there and hoped that he is okay.

"Are you okay, Akari?"

"Y-yeah..."

"It definitely looked like a Digimon...but why would they resembled the ones we use in the Invess Games...huh? What are you doing?"

"Trying to call Zenjirou and the others...but...I can't get...oh no...I don't have a signal!"

"Neither mine...it seems that this is like another dimension..."

"Like in the Digimon world?"

"Looks like it...I wonder if Henry's okay..."

"I wish we'd find him right now..."

However, their musing was interrupted as the Invess Digimon, identified as the Invess Byakko-Mon, arrived and slashed the tree with its brute strength, causing the tree to be sliced in two, and both teens were surprised, and terrified, and are forced to go on the run again, and as they ran they saw the same portal that they entered and head there, getting back at the streets of Kyoto, and as they ran, Taiki noticed that the portal is still "open" and Akari is now considering using her cellphone to call for help, but he advised her against it stating that this would cause panic at the city and may result in putting the situation in to chaos, and as she realized what he meant, the Invess Byakko-Mon arrived at Kyoto as well and commences his hunt for the two teens, having seen them on sight.

"KKKYYYAAHHH!"

"Keep running!"

"Oh, Taiki...where's Shoutmon when we need him?!"

"We have to keep running till we find a hiding place!"

"But what about Henry?!"

"We need to stay alive first!"

"Can't we call the police?!"

"If we do...it'll cause panic!"

Running towards a construction area, Taiki and Akari hid behind a large bulldozer and waited, until the Invess Digimon arrived, seemingly lost its prey and began to thrash anything at sight, before unleashing a fireball from its mouth, melting everything in its path, and there Taiki realized that he has to do something, or else he and Akari would get killed, so he tells her to run for it while he distracts the bewildered Invess Digimon, which Akari is reluctant until convinced to go ahead.

As Akari leaves, the Digimon saw her and thrashes a huge container, causing it to hit some debris and struck Akari, knocking her out, and seeing that she is in danger, Taiki distracted the Invess Digimon until it decides to go after him, and there he led the creature away and head to another open area, where he noticed that he still has the device that Henry dropped, and looked at it, sensing it to resemble a belt buckle and instinctively placed it in front of his waist, where a metallic belt strap is formed.

"Whoa! It formed in to a belt!"

By then the Invess Byakko-Mon arrived and is roaring, which Taiki took a steel pipe and attacked his pursuer, but unfortunately it did little to stop the attacker and he was thrashed and throttled, busting his lip open and bled before being thrown to the ground, which he willed himself to get up, but then something happened when the fruit he picked up from the mysterious forest began to change shape, changing into a Lockseed that resembled an orange, which surprised the teen and glances at it.

"Eh? It became a Lockseed?!"

Looking at the Lockseed and the belt, he slowly deduced that the Orange Lockseed would fit in on the belt, and opens the Lockseed, which resulted in a voice being spoken.

Orange Lockseed: "ORANGE..."

However, the Invess Byakko-Mon did a clothesline that knocked Taiki down, then lifted the teen and threw him away, and the teen hits the ground hard, but reacting fast, he places the Lockseed onto the belt before locking it, resulting in another voice coming from the Lockseed.

Orange Lockseed: "LOCK ON..."

A portal opened like a zipper and a huge orange appeared from the sky, slowly descending downward and Taiki is baffled as to what to do next, but then noticed the "cutting blade" attached to the belt, and instinctively presses it, resulting in the blade "cutting" the Lockseed attached, and the front portion of the Lockseed was sliced, and another voice spoke coming from the Orange Lockseed.

Orange Lockseed: "ORANGE ARMS...HANAICHI ON STAGE!"

Taiki is surprised as blue armor encased his whole body except for the head and the huge orange-like object dropped down and affixed itself covering his entire his head, and there the orange-like object started to "separate", as it formed the helmet and the outer armor, and now Taiki is fully-armored, which he resembled an armored samurai with a pair of weapons, a huge samurai sword that resembled a slice of orange and a musou saber that has a gun trigger and nozzle on it.

"Wow...I'm an armor...like a samurai...!"

By then the Invess Byakko-Mon charged towards its prey and Taiki uses the armor to defend himself, managing to fight back using the samurai sword and kept the attacker at bay, but the attacker was quite fierce and fought back, disarming Taiki and he is forced to bring out the Musou Saber and fought back, managing to get a brief upper hand until noticing the trigger and nozzle attached and realized that the Musou Saber can be used as a gun, and immediately fired, which he slowly gained an advantage as the Invess Digimon staggered back from the blast.

However, the Invess Digimon fired back with its mouth blast and sends Taiki back away, and as he gets up, he noticed someone from the second floor, and he is taken by surprise as that someone appeared to be a blond-haired girl in white clothing, and she resembled Akari Hinomoto, except that her right eye is glowing red, and there she gives Taiki a cryptic warning which he couldn't figure out what it meant.

"Listen..."

"Huh?"

"If you choose this path..."

"Akari...?"

"Your fate will lead to an inevitable path..."

"What are you...?"

"And you'll be forced to fight until the bitter end..."

"..."

As the Invess Digimon is ready to descend down, Taiki is still confused as he thinks that the strange woman is Akari and answered her cryptic words by stating that he will protect her, and there she sees his answer and intention as she picked up the Musou Saber and removed the orange Lockseed from Taiki's metallic belt and attaches it on the Musou Saber before giving him the samurai sword, and there Taiki notices that the two weapons can be connected which he did, and this forms a naginata weapon and he went after the Invess Digimon.

By locking the Orange Lockseed into the samurai sword and Musou Saber that formed the Naginata, Taiki then went on and execute the Naginata Musou Slicer, wherein he fires energy slashes from the Musou Saber end at the enemy, trapping it in an orange sphere. Afterwards, Taiki charges the samurai sword's end with energy before slashing the enemy with it. This resulted in the Invess Digimon exploding and destroying it, thus the danger has passed, but then he noticed that the mysterious girl that resembled Akari is gone, and the real Akari, who recovered, arrived and check on Taiki, seeing him de-transforming after removing the Orange Lockseed.

"Taiki!"

"Akari...?"

"Are you okay?"

"..."

"Taiki...?"

"..."

"Hey, Taiki!"

"Huh? Ah, Akari..I'm okay!"

Both teens are baffled at what just happened and are wondering how this would affect them from this point onward, while at the same time wondered what has happened to Henry, and are considering heading for the area where they first saw the portal.

First was a white-colored Armored Fighter, and now another one debuts, though this one is the main character and Taiki somehow acquired it and yet he is baffled as to what just happened, and who is the mysterious girl who resembled Akari? Is she really Akari or a parallel version? What about Henry Wong? What is that strange forest and its inhabitants? These questions would be slowly answered, but for now enjoy the slow, subtle flow of the plot...
