Last chapter showed you Team Gaim rising up at the rankings of the Invess Games, which puts Team Baron in sort of a bad spot as it threatens to unseat them from the top spot of the game, something Ryouma is considering of thinking of a way to rise up to the challenge.

However, Sid calls and is ager to help Team Baron out and offers a deal.

In this chapter, you will get to see what the result of the "deal" is and this is where the FATE starts to revolve as it involves Ryouma being the second to be affected by what the premonition that the "mysterious girl" has predicted.

At the hangout of Team Baron, you can see the members watching Tv, where DJ Sagara announced on though his "pirate video show" about Team Gaim's ascension and even showed footage of Team Gaim's battles, including Armored Fighter Gaim, and the Team Baron members were complaining that this is unfair, though Ryouma Mogami and Ren Tobari are watching intently, noticing that Taiki is not going after teams whose ranking are higher than Team Gaim, and Ryouma was irritated and wanted to challenge Taiki though he knew that he couldn't do so at the moment, so he is thinking of a way to upstage him until his cellphone rang, in which he answered it and the caller turn out to be Sid, the lock dealer.

"Yes?"

"Hello, Mogami-kun..."

"What do you want?"

"I heard it...even though you're still on the top of the rankings, you lost to Team Gaim rather harshly..."

"Get to the point."

"With the recent announcement, I feel that the Invess Games are getting stale...but I think I know of a way to make things more interesting...and I have something to offer you...something that would help you get even with Team Gaim's Armored Fighter..."

"Seriously?"

"I am...and if you're interested..."

Ryouma is quite intriguedd by what Sid said, and when told that he has "something to offer" in order to make the Invess Games more interesting, Ryouma decided to head out and meet with Sid to find out what this "offer" is and how will this help him in his future battles.

Ch. 15: Naito of Supea: Āmādo Faitā Baron

Several minutes later, the scene shifts right outside Drupers fruit shop, where Ryouma Mogami arrived, and he is gazing at the shop as he expected Sid to be there, as he has a lot in mind and the stakes are high for him, his team, and his pride. He was also curious at what he was told earlier which made him enticed to meet with the lock dealer who claimed that he can help the teen in regaining Team Baron's "glory", which made him recall the conversation he had with Sid earlier.

"Yes?"

"Hello, Mogami-kun..."

"What do you want?"

"I heard it...even though you're still on the top of the rankings, you lost to Team Gaim rather harshly..."

"Get to the point."

Clenching his fists, Ryouma went inside the fruit bar stand to meet with Sid and hoped that his coming here is worth his time and effort, provided that Sid's "offer" is something he cannot refuse.

Inside Drupers fruit shop, Sid is sipping his drink while a waitress arrives to give him his ordered food, and as he eats his food, he glances a bit to see Ryouma Mogami arriving, and the Lock Dealer smirked to see the teen's rather "piercing" stare and he guessed that he has come here to discuss about the "offer" that he mentioned earlier. He can also tell that Ryouma is interested as he knew that Team Baron's loss to Team Gaim was a "touchy" subject and the teen has a "determined look" to get back on track.

There he sat in front of Sid and went straight to the point, which the Lock Dealer smirk seeing that the conversation is about to get interesting.

"Ah, Ryouma...I see you decided to..."

"I came because you have something to offer me...so let's cut the chase and tell me what you have to offer..."

"You sure don't beat around the bush..."

"I don't...so get to the point and show me what offer you can make..."

"Okay, okay...I'll show you..."

"And this better be good..."

"I promise I will..."

"..."

As the discussion between Sid and Ryouma took place, the bartender identified as Kiyojiro Brando, could only look on as he is wary of Sid ever since becoming a frequent customer in the snack bar as well as selling Lock Seeds to selected customers, but since no form of violence is made here as well as selling Lock Seeds are legal, plus being a steady customer, Brando couldn't bring himself to evict Sid since Sid is paying his orders well and that conducting business also attracted customers at the snack bar

"Well...as long as it attracts a lot of customers to my shop...I guess I'll let him do his business..."

After that, he resumed attending to the customers as Sid began "explaining" to the teen his "terms and conditions" regarding the "offer" he offered to a curious Ryouma, wondering what Sid can offer that would help Team Baron stay on top of the team rankings and how to get even with Team Gaim for the loss he and his team got in the recent week.

Elsewhere within Kyoto, the scene shifts to a condominium where Yuu Amano resides, and as the scene zooms inside, you can see Yuu sitting on bed with Taiki Kudo with him, and the blonde-haired teen is seen wearing only his pajama pants with his bare chest still covered with bandages as he was discharged from the hospital and Taiki accompanied him home and there the two friends conversed about the recent events, and Taiki even showed Yuu his Lock Driver and Lock Seeds.

"So you've been discharged..."

"Yeah...all I have to do is complete bed rest..."

"All that matters is that you're out of danger..."

"Yeah...wait...I saw a video on the internet...this "Armored Fighter Gaim"...was it...?"

"Yeah...it was me...and here are the items I found...and how I became one..."

"No way! This device...!"

"What's wrong, Yuu?"

"It's the same one used by that white armored samurai Tagiru, Airi and I encountered...!"

Yuu was surprised upon seeing the Driver and pointed out that this is the same one that the white Armored Fighter wore during that encounter at the "mysterious forest", and advised Taiki to be careful if he were to encounter that stranger, which Taiki nodded and took the word seriously, then he asks how he is doing in which Yuu stated that he would have to avoid strenuous activities because of his injuries and Taiki nodded seeing that whoever attacked his friend means there is some sort of secret laid within that forest, and assured to him that he will be fine.

Seeing that things would turn out fine, both Yuu and Taiki bid farewell as Taiki leaves the condominium unit and heads out, while Yuu began to rest after a rather long discussion with his friend, and as the scene shifts outside, Taiki decided to head out to someplace to unwind as he has a lot to think about.

About an hour later, the scene shifts to Drupers Fruit snack and Shop, where Taiki is seen sipping an orange drink while glancing at the orange Lock Seed in his hand, and is recalling what Yuu told him about the white Armored Fighter, who resembled a samurai with a sword and a shield, with the outer armor resembling a muskmelon. Taiki thought about this carefully and wondered where this would bring him next.

"Really...there's another Armored Fighter besides me...?"

By then, Bando approached Taiki and gave him a glass with an ice cream, which Taiki is startled as he did not recall ordering one, though Bando said it was "on the house".

"Hey, Taiki..."

"Yeah...?"

"Here..."

"Huh? I did not ordered this..."

"It's on the house..."

"Really?"

"Yeah...what's bugging you?"

"Well..."

By then, Ryouma Mogami came and approached Taiki, telling Bando to leave as he has some personal conversation with the other teen, and as Bando leaves, Ryouma had a rather tense stand-off with Taiki, which Taiki slowly sensed that something is amiss as he knew Ryouma had learned his lesson a few years ago after fighting the Digi-Quartz.

"Taiki..."

"What is it, Ryouma?"

"You..."

"?"

"Armored Fighter Gaim..."

"What about it?"

"I want to ask you something."

"What is it?"

Ryouma asks why Taiki did not seek out more opponents after Team Gaim ascended in the rankings, in which Taiki reiterated that there is no need as he and his team can take their time and are not in a habit of challenging anyone so brazenly, and in turn Ryouma mocked Taiki for "being weak" as those who ascend must seek out stronger opponents in order to attain "true strength", and rule over everything, and those words ticked Taiki off and told Ryouma he is not the kind of person, and which Ryouma rebukes him again.

"Look...this isn't some Digimon hunt...and my team are not like you!"

"Then you really are spineless..."

"Say what you want...I won't provoke anyone to get us!"

"You will never ascend to the top if you are like that."

"We're not in a hurry, so there's no point in being a power-hungry dictator!"

"Fool."

"What?"

"Then let me tell you this..."

By then, Ryouma challenges Taiki to a duel through an Inves Game, and Taiki reluctantly accepted, deciding to teach him a lesson in humility and hoped that this would wake his fellow teen up from his obsession, seeing that his old ways hasn't changed a bit after their days as a Digimon Hunter years ago.

At an open park, a large crowd gathered after word that an Invess Game is about to take place and they all converge there at the stairs and barricade, seeing Taiki and Ryouma down below staring off, and as the crowd gathered, members of Team Gaim and Team Baron arrived, having heard of the word and as they arrived, they were equally surprised as their respective leaders did not advised them about the upcoming battle, and Akari is baffled at why this is happened though Takeru seemed to have deduced the reason.

"Taiki..."

"Taiki-san..."

"What's he up to?"

"Eh?"

"Why accepted a challenge if it's not about the team or the stage?"

"Seems to me that they're going to have a duel..."

"You serious?!"

"Looks like it..."

Down below, Ryouma stared intently at Taiki, unfazed at the words Taiki threw at him, and when Taiki said that no matter how many Invess Digimons thrown at him, he will simply defeat them, and after he wins, Ryouma would cease the foolish concept about "strength" and "weakness", though Ryouma simply rebutted them as he gives him a surprise which Taiki would be taken aback at what he is about to see.

"You haven't changed in the years that passed...!"

"Hmph."

"I'll teach you a lesson in humility!"

"Really?"

"Threw out as many Digimons as you want...you won't beat me!"

"I'm afraid we're beyond those things..."

"Eh?"

"Let me show you then..."

Ryouma then brought out a Lock Driver and Taiki is shocked to see this as Ryouma placed it in front of his waist, and a metallic belt strap appeared around his waist and a belt is formed, there Ryouma brought out a Lock Seed, which has an insignia of a banana, and there he unlocked it, where a huge banana appeared above him, much to the surprises of the crowd.

Banana Lock Seed: "BANANA..."

"Whoa!"

"Look at that!"

"Team Gaim has an Armored Fighter...then that means..."

"...Team Baron 's got an Armored Fighter too!"

"This is getting interesting!"

"Wow...two Armored Fighters...this is gonna be good!"

"Orange...Banana...what else can you expect?"

"Go for it, Baron!"

Taiki stared wide-eyed as he did not expect a situation like this to happen, and then Ryouma presses the Lock Driver's "cutting edge" and "slices" the Lock Seed, activating its next command which is similar to Taiki's Lock Driver function.

Banana Lock Seed: "BANANA ARMS...KNIGHT OF SPEAR!"

The huge banana then fell on top of Ryouma's head, while his body was suddenly enveloped in red armor, and then the banana "disengages" and formed the helmet and outer armor, giving him the appearance of a European knight, and he is now armed with a knight's lance, and the red-and-yellow Armored Fighter stood in front of a shocked Taiki, while the crowd, and members of Team Baron, cheered on, as they feel that the Invess Game is about to get interesting as two Armored Fighters would do battle, while Takeru and Akari are awed and in shock.

It looked like Team Gaim is in a pinch as Team Baron now has an Armored Fighter, and Ryouma is now going to take his fight against Taiki to prove his superiority in terms of strength and power. What will Taiki do next? Will he still accept accept Ryouma's challenge?
