Heya guys, guess what? School started again and I want to kill myself(not really) but then who would finish this magnificent story, I'm so sorry for the late update but I had a writers block and found some other cool fanfics to read and other stuff, so yeah I've been busy.
Tadase sat in the green chair, dim light illuminating the letters in the book he was reading. The Myths of Old was a very old book, already torn with age. The myths and legends on its pages even older. He had decided to investigate, for princess Amu had seemed more demonic than human on their walk in the gardens and he couldn't shake the feeling of foreboding that came over him whenever he was near her. Something here was amiss and he would find out what.
He turned the page and two blonde eyebrows rose at the title.
The Great Hidoi
(Of Hinamori clan)
Hidoi sat perched on her throne, the only female demon lord out of seven. She, the demon of all beasts, watched the mortal men through a swirling magick pool, its powers beyond mortal comprehension. And then her eyes caught the young warrior, his bright tresses falling into his golden flecked brown eyes as he trained. An older man came into view and seemed to berate the youth. She closed the portal and turned to one of her pets, a tree tailed wolf.
Five years later she sought the young man again, this time seeing him being crowned by a very old looking druid. When the crown was finally laid atop his head the gathered crowd cheered. She closed the portal.
A year later she sought him out again and saw that he was grieving by a beautiful womans bed, his hands atop her womb. It seemed his wife had died along with their child, nothing could save her from the poison. She called upon her long fanged snake and petted its gem crowned head. She smiled.
The young man, lost in grief for his wife was entranced by the beautiful, golden eyed, red haired woman that stood before him. She was by far the most beautiful woman he had ever seen and he accepted her proposal. They were married before he could notice her long fangs and glowing eyes.
She bore him a son, a smaller version of himself without any indication she was the childs mother, maybe perhaps only his fair skin and ragged beauty. When their son turned six, she vanished and no man could find her. The king searched and searched, but the beautiful woman could not be found, like she vanished from the face of earth. Nothing was left of her, but for their son and her name. Hidoi.
The legend goes that no girl has been born into the Hinamori clan ever since.
Tadase sat back when he finished reading the book, his heart feeling heavy. No matter how hard he tried to ignore it he knew he couldn't. Because it was now apparent to him that Amu was a descendant of a demon and while he hoped she was only that, he knew he hoped in vain. She was more monstrous than wolves and bears that prowled the forests and would probably only continue to change.
He wanted to kill her, if she was a demon, but he could not make himself do it. After a while of debating with himself he decided that he would take her for his wife as planned and then, with enough love and care, bring back the humanity she lost. Under the right influence she could be brought back, he was sure. With a face of determination he blew out the candle.

A few seconds passed and Ikuto suddenly felt pain. His back, his head and all his limbs exploded with unbearable agony and he screamed. It felt like all his bones were breaking and he fell back to the floor. He couldn't move, couldn't breathe and with a last ragged cough, fell unconscious.

Amu barely felt the chill of the wind as it whipped past her, her thoughts on the ground below her. She was not stupid enough to think that she could survive a fall like that, so she ground her teeth together and prepared herself for the pain that was sure to come. It did not disappoint and a second later she found herself hitting the cold ground, all her bones shattering as she made a dent in the earth and grass. Pain exploded from her limbs and she lost her conscious, everything going black.

Amu found herself floating through an endless black space. No light shone in it and there were no walls or corners. An empty black abyss. She realized with a start that her eyes were glowing but did not banish the darkness around her. After a few seconds of simply looking around, her memories came back and she realised, her eyes widening, that she had died. The fall had killed her.
Before she could wallow in her tragic fate, she noticed a speck of light in the far distance and willed herself to float towards it. Maybe it was an angel that came to save her. Her hopes high she started towards the light.
Only when she realized that the light were in fact, two glowing and very familiar eyes, she stopped, her breath caught in her throat. The demon that killed her mother, the one that she dreamed of and the one that introduced her to the thrill of blood, floated in front of her, his face mirroring her bewildered expression.
Before she could move, he reached out to her and she couldn't help but to reach back, their eyes meeting for a second before their hands touched. She watched in amazement as warm tendrils of glowing matter wound around their intertwined hands and an explosion of light blinded her for a moment.
Two shining, golden eyes snapped open and Amu wondered where she was. The cold feel of night air chilled her sore muscles and she groaned, rolling over on her stomach. She pushed off the moist grass and heaved herself upwards, all her bones creaking in protest. She trudged back to her room, darkness of the night hiding her presence from unwanted eyes.
She lay back in her soft bed and closed her eyes. In a second though, she jumped out of her bed and pressed herself against a wall, her chest heaving and her large eyes looking at the open balcony doors in horror. The pain in her bones and muscles confirmed to her that she indeed fell, but her mind couldn't wrap around the fact that she had died and came back. Did she truly die tough? She remembered all her bones shattering as she hit the ground, so why?
A light glow caught her attention and she looked in the mirror to see that something was glowing under her night gown. She pulled down the collar to expose a mark made of thin, golden threads, creating a shape of an exquisite clover shaped flower, with what seemed to be a keyhole in the very center of it. She watched in a trance as the light dimmed and left, only golden lines of the tatoo on her skin a sign of the strange occurence. Before she fell asleep she remembered a black abyss and glowing threads that wound around her hand.

Ikuto looked in wonder at the tatoo that now covered the part of his chest were his heart should be. It was dark, black almost, and in the most intriguing design that somewhat resembled a key, but he couldn't quite place it. His body ached and he decided that a good nights sleep was needed if he wished to keep up his strength.
Sorry guys, it's not really 'Ikuto to the rescue' time, at least not in the 'I'll-catch-you-in-my-arms-and-break-your-fall way of rescuing, but he did save her in a sense, and we found out what Amu is, sort of, and something more about that interesting connection between Amu and Ikuto that was in the last edition as well, oh well, hope you liked it and don't forget to R&R and tell me what you think...
Love ya all guys
