I'm such an idiot, idiot, idiot, stupid baka. I'm so sorry for the last notice, it seems that I only got some more inspiration after I decided to stop for a while with the story, no really, I went to write the end and what would happen and realized I'd much rather finish it slowly but surely instead of just hurrying up the end, so if your ok with very slow updates then I'll be glad to write for you, and just so you Know in two and a half years I'm going to college and I found out I'll have more time then I do now -.-' , so if waiting is ok? then I too won't give up!

You Know how they say, you don't know what you had until you lose it. ;3

Amu ran through the corridors, her footsteps echoing with every step. If she were late, she would never forgive herself. The demon never hurt her, not quite anyways, but she saw what he could do, the blood splatters on the wall hadn't come out of nowhere, and Utau smelled especially sweet... Tears almost sprang to Amu's eyes.

The heavy oak doors banged against the walls as she pushed them open and sped down the stairs. She came to a stop in front of the cell, the rusty iron bars not obscuring her view in the slightest. There lay Utau in the demons arms, her dress torn and soaked with red, her beautiful blonde hair matted with blood. She was pale, unearthly so, and she lay so still Amu couldn't even see if she was breathing or not.

Then there was he, his claws around her friend, clutching her close as if somebody would come to take her away. Like a cat guarding its prey, Amu thought with disgust. Then she saw that her friends dress was ripped around her stomach, as if somebody dug their claws into it.

With a scream of rage she ripped the doors open, effectively waking both the demon and the angel. Amu stopped short when she saw Utau's big, violet eyes regarding her as if she were insane, and that damn beast was smirking at her. She wanted to rip his eyes out. She growled at him when she saw he was still clutching the girl close.

„Let her go, you damn monster!" Sitting up and clutching his sister more closely, his gaze never left Amu's.

„No." Amu almost exploded.

„What do you mean no, let go of her now or you're going to regret it." Ikuto just smiled at her. Cold, evil she tought.

„What are you going to do about it, my bloody rose?" Her fangs grew out and her eyes shone in the darkness.

„I am going to rip out your tail and feed it to you." Her voice was like cold steel, sharp and unwavering. She noticed how it puffed out and curled around his leg. She smiled now, her fangs glinting in the firelight.

„Now tell me what you did to Utau." Utau chose this moment to speak up, her eyes never leaving her friends fangs.

„Big brother didn't do anything Amu, somebody else took me down here."

„What?" Her voice was barely a whisper. She wasn't sure what was more worrisome, that Utau called this demon 'big brother' or that there was somebody other here who she had to look out for.

„What do you mean, who was it? And why do you call this...this demon a brother?" Utau smiled sadly.

„Remember Amu when I told you that before Kazuomi took me in I lived with my aunt and her son, whom I called big brother." She laughed. „To think I was supposed to be his lunch."

Amu tought back to the time her friend had told her about the life she had before she was adopted. How she spoke so fondly about her big brother, how he took care and always played with her. But Utau had described an angel and this guy wasn't one by a long shot, perhaps he deceived her. No that couldn't be, if she were his food there was no reason to do it.

„Iku? This is him?" Utau nodded happily and Ikuto hugged her closer, looking at her with fondness that was reserved only for family. She sighed and plopped down next to her friend, hugging her despite the demons strong grip on the girl.

„I'm just glad that you're ok Tau, I-I thought that something bad happened." She drew a shuddering breath. „I thought I lost you."

Utau just hugged her friend closer, not letting go. Then Amu's head perked up.

„I almost forgot, Utau, Kukai was also very worried about you, I think you should go and tell him you're ok." Utau jumped up at the mention of her amour and almost ran out of the cell, when a loud growl stopped her, filling the whole dungeons with vibrations. She slowly turned around to meet her brothers murderous gaze. She didn't see Amu smirk.

„Who is this Kukai she speaks of?" Utau's expression turned sheepish.

„He-He's the guy I sort of... maybe...kind of...like?" Utau could swear his eyes glowed just a tad bit lighter.

„No guys are allowed to touch my sister, you won't see this guy again, even if I have to..." He stopped short at seeing Utau's glistening eyes. If it were anyone other than her big brother she would've told them to fuck of, but big demonic, overprotective brothers weren't that easy to deal with. Amu decided to step in and save her best friend. She grabbed Ikuto's arm and dragged him back.

„Let her go demon, she has a right to be happy." Ikuto sighed, something was wrong with this picture but the pinkettes warm hand felt good on his arm, so he let her drag him back.

„Fine, but Utau, if he even looks at you the wrong way, I'll kill him without hesitation." He smiled at his sister and she sweat dropped, it was kind of sweet, but not quite.

„Sure." Utau left to find Kukai, her heart beating hard in her chest.

Only then did Amu realized she was left alone with the beast.
