Heya guys, sorry for the wait *scratches head*, but in my defence, I really did have a lot going on and I did say it would take a while, I just hope you haven't forgotten this lil' old fic of mine.

Ikuto smirked and turned to Amu. She gulped when she saw the evil grin.

„Well, well, look who's all alone now." He stalked towards her, tail whipping the air. She couldn't escape when he reached for her.

But when their skin met it lit up, the glow bathing the cell. Warmth spread over their skin as it glowed, gold and black strings travelling up their arms, enveloping them and turning the darkness into light. And as sudden as it came it was gone, leaving them both breathless.

Ikuto examined his hand in wonder, not believing what he saw. Amu was far too shocked to move but she heard his faint whisper and it chilled her to the core.

„Life bond."

„What?!" Ikuto looked back at her and without saying a word, closed his eyes and laid back against the wall.

Amu chose that moment to escape.

He could not believe it. To be chained to someone like that, it was terrifying and exhilarating at the same time. To share the chain of fate with someone, someone that made him experience feelings. Feelings were bad, they were naught, they made people do stupid things. But they were also beautiful, exciting, they made him enjoy being what he was.

He took another look at the marking that covered his chest. The dark lines gleamed in the torchlight. He didn't miss the sun, but the moon. It was calling to him, oh yes, it would not be long now. Just a few more nights of this stony prison and then they would pay. And they would all pay dearly.

The howl that echoed through the dungeons made many hearts stop that night, they all knew something was coming, something monstrous.

Amu shifted in her sleep again that night, sweat rolling down her skin. Something was itching to get out, ripping her organs and clawing at her skin. She screamed again with every new wave of pain. Her head pounded as if something was trying to break out of her skull, her eyes burned and her teeth ached.

Amu ran. Something was following her, something terrifying, something terrible and monstrous, she could feel fear as it coursed through her, and the danger that the monster emitted. It was so thick she could taste it in the air.

A sudden stench of blood rose in the air, she choked and tripped, ripping her skin on the dry branches and jagged stones.

But she continued forward, from all fours back to her feet, she could not afford to stop.

She finally came to an opening in the dense forest, her feet carrying her forward faster and faster.

She barely managed to stop before she fell over the cliff.

A great expanse rose before her, an ocean of blood, its red waters splashing against the cliff side. The night had no stars, only a bloodied moon that hung overhead. And then she noticed it, her eyes burning from unshed tears.

A figure flew above the ocean, its form illuminated by the moon. She could make out the long tail, but what scared her the most were two azure eyes that lit up the night around them. Two great bat like wings spread out and then flapped, propelling the figure towards the ocean and under the thick, red waters. She screamed as she reached out towards him, her throat raw.

A growl sounded behind her and she froze, one eye looking behind her. The monster was humanoid in shape, with womanly curves and long, dark, blood-red hair. Dark red fur covered its figure, from the tips of its feline ears to the tip of its long, black tail that coiled behind it. Long claws grew from its fingers, and its feet were like talons. Fangs shone in the moonlight, its mouth set in a snarl. But what frightened her most were the eyes. Two burning golden suns, full of murder and...lust.

It dove at her and she flung herself back, toppling over the cliff and into the cold red below.

Ikuto woke up, his chest heaving and his back aching. He could already feel them trying to rip out of his back. But it wasn't the time yet. Another night had yet to pass before he would be free. He saw her too, and she was truly magnificent. He had never seen another demon saw raw and fierce.

She was untamed, without a master that could order her around like those lesser demons. She was probably the only one that hadn't bowed the moment she saw him. All the others feared him for a reason, he was stronger, smarter, but more sadistic in nature that any other demon he had seen. His only guess was that it had to do something with his mysterious father that his mother wouldn't explain.

Pah, who needed them, he had found his bloody rose and that, was enough.

Sorry, for the long wait, really I am, and for not including a bath for Ikuto, but it just didn't sit right with this chapter so...

Please review and tell me what you think.
