The New Beginning
Ichigo lay on the floor with Ichirou. His orange-haired and a chocolate eyed boy lay stomach down on his playmat. The small little toddler was sleeping peacefully, sucking his thumb. Ichigo smiled as his Ichirou sighed softly, a small smile appearing on his baby lips, showing a hint of teeth growing.
"My son...I will protect you and I will keep you safe from all harm. I promise you that." Ichigo whispered and he caressed Ichirou's head, wiping away a piece of spiky hair away from his closed eyelid. "I love you, Ichirou Kurosaki, just as I love Kazumi and your mother."
Just then, Orihime walked in with Kazumi, the small little girl ran into Ichigo's arms and she whispered, "Hi Daddy!"
"Hi, honey!" He whispered back, kissing the top of her forehead. "How was shopping with Mummy?"
"It was amazing, we bought so many things! I bought so much clothes daddy! I don't think theres any room in my closet!" Kazumi laughed and Ichirou awoke. Surprisingly, he didn't cry, but a scowl replaced the peaceful look and he started grumbling, making his Daddy proud.
"Ichigo, what did I tell you about teaching Ichirou how to scowl? It will line his face before he is five." Orihime said sternly, with a hint of amusement which took all of the harshness away in Ichigo's eyes.
"Orihime, he won't develop lines, he's like his Dad, ageless." Ichigo said cockily, rising to greet his beautiful wife, and he kissed her softly. "Hi, baby." Ichigo whispered, and rested his forehead on Orihime.
Orihime smiled and kissed him softly then whispered a mushed, "Hi, honey." Orihime hugged him tightly and held him close.
"Mama! Mama!" Ichirou squealed, crawling to his favourite person in the world apart from Daddy.
Orihime let go of Ichigo to his disappointment and scooped up her son, looking into his beautiful eyes that looked so much like his fathers. "Hello, my sweet Ichirou." She said serenely, letting her baby boy cuddle into her bosom. The toddler looked right at home nestled against his Mama.
Ichigo scooped up Kazumi and she wrapped around him like a vine, giggling as he tickled her, keeping a firm grip as he did so. They had the perfect little family.
As Orihime popped Ichirou to the floor, Kazumi walked to her baby brother and hugged him very gently, making their parents smile happily. Ichirou wrapped his arms around his big sister. "Kazuie! Kazuie!" He called, still trying to say his sisters name right. Making all three of the Kurosaki's laugh.
Ichigo walked in the bedroom, finding Orihime already in bed, reading her favourite novel. Ichigo stripped off all of his clothes and picked up his pajama sweatpants, or as Orihime liked to call them bed-sweats. Ichigo thought the title should have been for some kind of sweat control deodorant when you keep sweating in your sleep, though Orihime is rather fond of the name, so he never voiced such an opinion so he wouldn't make her mad.
Ichigo kicked the door shut gently and proceeded to crawl underneath the pale blue sheets, to cuddle to his wife. Orihime instantly responded, bookmarking her page and setting the novel down gently, she turned off the lamp and cuddled to Ichigo, smiling happily.
In the dim moonlight, Ichigo could make out her smile. "You seem happy tonight? Something I should know about?" He asked, caressing her soft cheek, the porcelain skin seemed so fragile, but he knew under that delicate exterior, there was a strong woman, who faced many hardships in her life, and still managed to put a smile on her face and live a nice life with her baby girl.
"No, I'm just always happy now, when I have my husband cuddled to me, knowing my two babies are safe and tucked in their beds, sleeping peacefully, dreaming happy dreams. My life couldn't be any better." Orihime answered Ichigo with an even brighter smile, making Ichigo smile, which used to be such a foreign notion for the once always-scowling-mean-doctor, as Rukia calls him, just to tease him.
"Good." Ichigo responded, capturing Orihime's gentle lips with his own.
Orihime moaned softly, kissing Ichigo back, their hands intertwined as they held each-other tightly, their torso's glued together, his free hand slide from her waist up into the long ruby tresses of her hair and fisted the thick hair, the smooth locks wrapped around his hand, feeling like satin.
Orihime broke the kiss, gasping for breath. "Wow.." She exclaimed.
"You're telling me, honey." Ichigo whispered, panting also.
"I missed these." Orihime stated, looking up at him with big gray, loving eyes.
"We've been so busy, we haven't had a chance to enjoy each-others company. It's no fair." Ichigo said, winding a lock of red hair around his slender forefinger.
"I know, at the daycare, I don't really have time for a break and the kids want me around everywhere. It's so sweet and all, but I'd like to eat my lunch on time once in a while." She said, yawning softly. "And when I get home, I'm looking after the kids and I'm trying to think of new activities for tomorrows daycare lesson."
Ichigo sighed. "Rukia brought her kid to the office today. He couldn't go to daycare since he was sick and she asked me if I could examine him." Ichigo huffed.
"What was wrong with him?" Orihime asked, resting her cheek on her hand as she stared at her husband in the moonlight.
"He has a chest infection, I told him to not run around a lot and that he should take this 'syrup' twice a day. One at breakfast and another at lunch."
"And?"
"He ran around, drinking the damn bottle. Rukia was running around after him like a house was on fire." Ichigo said and closed his eyes in defeat.
"Why doesn't he like taking your advice?" Orihime asked, trying so hard not to giggle at the defiance of the little boy.
"Because he's stupid-ass father doesn't like taking orders from me and now he's teaching Hikaru to do it. I swear if he wants his son to be healthy, he better change that brat's ways!"
"ICHIGO!" Orihime gasped, slapping Ichigo's arm, reprimanding him.
"Sorry, but Hikaru needs to learn manners." Ichigo says as if finishing the conversation.
Orihime sighed and closed her eyes, letting sleep claim her and soon enough Ichigo followed suit.
