Chapter 6 Revenge is Sweet And Pain is Bitter
Isa's POV
I sat quietly next to Neti's grave. Only hours ago there had been a funeral for her. It wasn't much, but I was thankful for it. I needed the closure it brought me. I looked around me, I could feel the pull of the mating bond, but I was ignoring it for now. I knew it was stupid to not keep my mates close, but I needed some time alone. I knew they weren't far, only far enough to give me some privacy, but close enough to hear if I called. I closed my eyes and thought back to the short event that had been my Neti's funeral.
I stood quietly all in black with Alec to my left, Demetri to my right, and Caius directly behind me. I watched quietly as they lowered my Neti's body into the ground. Kett, Lupin, Alainn, and Rina all stood infront of the large hole. After Neti had been completely lowered I stepped forward and placed the tooth of the male bear that had attacked her mother on her. I closed my eyes and lifted my head to the sky 'I'm so sorry I couldn't protect your baby. I can only hope that you and she will be reunited in heaven now.' I thought/prayed to her mother.
I stepped back again as my remaining 4 companions began to fill in the hole. I turned into Demetri's shoulder, I couldn't watch as Neti disappeared beneath the earth. I looked up when I heard and smelled the male who did this approach. My mates growled in unison but I silenced them all with a look. "What?" I asked him in a monotone. He looked down and sigh softly. "I wanted to apologize for what I did. I reacted out of instinct." He went on to explain how he had come into this life.
After having heard Emmett's story, that was his name, I quickly forgave him. How could I fault him for what his instincts told him. I couldn't blame him, and I wouldn't hold a grudge. After I told him as much he returned to the blonde female who I had learned was his mate. She nodded a thanks, happy that I wasn't angry, for if I had been, he would have died. It was then I told my mates I needed some time alone, to say my final goodbyes. They agreed, saying they wouldn't be far and if I needed them, all I had to do was holler.
I was pulled out of my memory when the wind brought two unfamiliar scents with it. I was on my feet and growling in an instant. "Who goes there!" I snarled. I watched as two males walked into view, one had short blond, almost white, hair wile the had longer, dark brown, hair. They both wore capes and smirks, something about them screamed danger. "Vhy, hello little vone." The blonde greeted. "My name is Vladimir, this is my brother Stefen." He introduced in a thick, Romanian accent.
Caius' POV
As soon as Isa asked us to leave, Alec, Demetri, and myself headed straight to the room that the big male Emmett was staying. Our mate may have forgiven him, but we weren't so forgiving. He had hurt our mate, and now he was going to pay. I debated whether Alec should use his powers, I had even debated bringing Jane in, but I wanted to be the one to inflict the male's pain.
Lucky for us he was alone when we found him. No doubt his mate had gone off with the other women. Immediately Demetri and Alec had him pinned to the wall, each holding an arm. I stalked up to him and snarled, "You will pay for the pain you've caused our mate." I hissed. His unnatural golden eyes widened in fear, "But she forgave me! I said sorry!" He wailed. I smirked, "She may have forgiven you, but we haven't."
"You hurt our mate, now we will hurt you." Alec snarled, digging his fingernails into the male's arm. Venom oozed from the cuts he inflicted and the man howled in pain. I snarled loudly, silencing him, "Unless you wish to make it worse, you WILL be quiet." I snapped. He whimpered softly but shut his mouth. At least his was smart.
I started slowly, using my fingernail I cut across his neck as if slicing it open. If he'd have been human he would have died of blood loss. I watched happily as venom oozed out and dripped down his neck. Alec and Demetri snarled and I gave them a slight nod. They each gave a sharp tug and ripped his arms off. I shot him a look, almost daring him to make a sound.
Venom pooled in his eyes as he bit back a scream. He dropped to the floor and began whimpering softly, what a big baby. The three of us stalked forward, ready to inflict more pain when Jane burst in. "Romanians. East side." She said. the three of us looked at her in horror, that's where Isa was.
Alice POV {Hehehe}
I growled lowly as I paced the room Jasper and I shared. Why did that stupid fucker have to call Jasper? Bella was Peter's sister, so why the fuck would he need Jasper?! I growled again. I didn't like the little girl. True I had told Jasper I understood that she would always hold a place in his heart, but that was when I thought she was dead. Now she's not. I blamed Fuckward.
It wasn't the girl's fault that Edward was a sick fuck. But I couldn't risk her coming between me and Jasper. I had already seen it. If he stays with her, he'll find his true mate and leave me. I couldn't let that happen. I had tried to get Jasper to leave with me, I had wanted to save killing the girl as a last resort, but Jasper wouldn't leave. He forced me to do this. I picked up the phone and dialed the number. She picked up on the second ring. "Hello?" I smiled at her voice, "Hello Victoria." I greeted in my usual bubbly tone. My sister chuckled softly.
"Hello Alice. Was there something you needed?" I nodded, even though she couldn't see me, "Tonight or tomorrow you will be getting a call from one Edward Cullen. He will ask you to join him in taking down the Volturi. I need you to say yes. There is a young vampire, the mate of Caius, Alec and Demetri, if she isn't killed she will be the reason Jasper leaves me." I explained. "Of course Alice, anything for you!" I smiled. "Thanks sis." And I ended the call.
