That's right, I'm already uploading another one to show you guys how bad I feel about being gone so long. Speaking of which, I want to thank you guys for, just being the best. You all made my return smooth, and you made me feel like I was genuinely doing a good thing by returning, so thank you all. As I always say, the fanfiction community is, quite obviously, the best community out there.

Also, Lexboss brought to my attention the matter of OCs. Here's the deal. For this story, I don't need an OC. Still submit them though. I might use them in another story, or if they are really good, I might find a way to put them in this one. Just give me name, age, species, relation to characters/plot, and personality. I know it seems like a lot, but please try. Comment them, or PM me, and you might just see them appear on the smaller screen.

However, I do need an OC for the next story, involving Jonathan Watterson. I need somebody to be his best friend. That is the only OC I NEED, but remember, I am the kind of guy who will take any good OC submitted, and try to work it in, So keep submitting,

Anyway, Let's-a-go

An alarm clock blares as he crashes into the world of awareness. With his eyes still closed, he stretches his arm out and repeatedly tries to hit the snooze button, but to no avail. Willing his eyelids open, he gets up with a groan and turns to look at the clock, which read s "9:00 A.M" His eyes widen as he is shocked into a full state of focus. 9:00. We're late.

"We're late! Rigby, get up!" from out of a pile of trash appears a brown/black raccoon named Rigby. Upon closer inspection, you would discover that under that pile of trash is a trampoline, which the raccoon uses as a bed, but the trash has covered it, providing quite a befitting blanket for such a creature.

"Mordecai," Rigby says with his signature groan, "Do we have to go to work?" As he says this, he walks out of the room he and the blue jay known as Mordecai share. The two have been best friends since before they could remember. Eventually, the both became groundskeepers at the local park, seeing as Mordecai never went to college, and Rigby never even finished high school.

"Yes dude, of course we have to. Benson might fire us if we don't." Both of them are incredibly lazy, but Rigby is far lazier. When they started their job, both were stupid and lazy, however they have grown over the years. Rigby, not so much, but Mordecai became smarter and more determined, in other words, less lazy.

The pair arrives outside, after doing their daily routine, where they find the rest of the park's workers sitting on the front stairs. The gumball machine holding a clipboard looks up at them from the bottom of the stairs as his gumballs begin to turn red.

"Well there you guys are! Where were you!" The gumball machine screams at them.

"Sorry Benson! The alarm clock went off late." Mordecai responds as he runs to sit down with the rest of the group

"You know what, I don't want to hear excuses." Benson yells

"Benson, why are you so mean?" Rigby says as he leans up against the stair rail. Benson lets out an angry sigh.

"I'm not mean Rigby." He says through gritted teeth, attempting to hold back his anger and prove his point, but really only proving Rigby's. "Look at how I treat Skips, Pops, even Muscle Man and High Five Ghost. They do their jobs." He continues. "But you two are capable only of slacking off and blowing off work, so I yell at you!" He screams, unable to contain his rage any longer. "Now sit down!" Rigby jumps and quickly runs to sit with Mordecai.

Benson sighs as his gumballs become pink again. Ok guys, we have a lot of work today, so let's get to it.

8 hours later

Mordecai and Rigby sit in front of the TV playing video games.

"Man, I can't believe our luck. We got the whole day off because of rain!" Rigby cheers. It had rained for a good half of the day. It started about an hour or so after they began work, getting them out of raking the leaves. They knew they would have to do it tomorrow, but they were just savoring not having to work. It had stopped raining, but it was too late. Suddenly, they heard the door open and a young voice call out,

"Hello? Anybody here?" Mordecai and Rigby look at each other before getting up and walking over to the door there they find two young boys: A blue cat and a goldfish.

"Hey kids, what do you want?" Mordecai asks as he leans up against the wall.

"Our father accidentally left us here, and we REALLY need a place to crash for the night. We were told by your friend, Margaret, that you guys might be able to take us for a week. May we stay?" The blue cat inquires.

"Yes."

"No." Mordecai and Rigby look at each other, confused. "Just a second." Rigby says to the boys before pulling Mordecai into the family room. "C'mon Mordecai, we can't let them stay, we don't have any spare rooms." Rigby whisper yells at Mordecai.

"They could stay with us?" Mordecai says in response, adopting the same whisper yell tone as Rigby.

"No! Absolutely not, that's our room!"

"C'mon, their dad left them. They need a place."

"And it won't be this place."

"Dude, Margaret sent them, which means she obviously thinks they're cool. I could score some real points with her for helping them."

"That's what you're thinking about? Okay, Benson will kill us if we bring two strangers in!"

"We'll tell him they are Margaret's… nephews!"

"What?"

"Why not!"

"Okay, what about Muscle Man, huh? You saw what he did to Thomas, think what he'll do to them!"

"We'll just keep them away from him."

"… You're not backing down from this, are you?"

"Nope." Rigby sighs and walks back to the door where the cat and goldfish are playing rock-paper-scissors. They look at Rigby as he approaches.

"Come on in."

There we go, the next chapter. I know this is on the Gumball archive, but I am switching between many different point of views. It is on the Gumball archive because there is no option for three-way crossover, plus who actually goes to the crossover archive? I might repost this story on the other archives, but not right now.

Again, thanks for making this return to fanfiction better than I could ever have imagined. You guys truly are the best. Remember to submit an OC you can think of. Also, comment. Comments are great, they are like honey, on ice cream… with chocolate all over it… and some chicken on the side… I don't know what I was thinking with that, but comment. It's awesome.
