Chapter 26- Typically

A/N: *yawn* I'm getting old. I found a wrinkle in my foot yesterday after I got out of the shower.:3 (*privately rofls*)

You know what I own, and Miku's 'leek' is, according to Wikipedia, really a spring onion. Sorry for the fact that this is a filler, but next chappy, it starts moving again. It should.

Enjoy.

I was sweating as I dropped the last box on the floor, and panting. I wondered at how Miku could pack all my stuff and some food into only ten computer boxes.

It was super-heavy, too.

I dropped onto my matress, which was on the floor, the frame and the box spring being in the other room. Piko came in a few moments later, his hair stuck to his forehead, his wings drooping a little from exertion. I smiled lightly, then watched as he plopped down next to me.

Rin still hadn't woken up, which worried Miku and me, and I planned to have her woken up today. I was ready to try any methods I could think of.

It was a bit frustrating.

Miku had already elbowed Kaito six times today, and it was likely she'd give him another seven, the rate he was going.

We were silent for a while, before I sat up, having regained my breath.

My muscles were cramped, and I was exausted.

It wasn't too early to take a cat-nap.

But I still had stuff to do.

Groaning, I pulled myself off the matress and rummaged through one of the boxes, taking stuff out.

I finally found, after nearly emptying the box, a can of soup, a can of carrots, and a few other things. Currently, Miku was out getting spring onions, so I just got a can of oranges in case Rin woke up. I also got Piko some- for some odd reason- bread with a bit of honey. He likes it a lot, but not like my obsession with carrots, or Miku's obsession with spring onions.

It's really infuriating to try and wake Rin up, so says Miku, so I'll wait until she arrives.

I pull open the can of carrots, toss a pre-made honey sandwich to Piko, and set the can of oranges next to Rin, who was sleeping like the dead.

I use my fingers to pull out a slice of soft, mushy carrot, which I quickly swallow. I'm halfway through my can when Piko's halfway through his sandwich.

When we're both finished, Miku comes back in, with a full bag of spring onions, a half-bag of carrots and oranges, another bag with other stuff, and a bag with a dress in it. A black one, and I also notice a man's outfit in there, although I can't think of why until she drops it near the stairs, where Kaito's apparently sleeping. For some odd reason, Miku decided- when she was about to leave- to tie him up there. I see the rope, secured tightly around Kaito's wrists.

Miku drops the bags by the kitchen, then smiles, digs out at least five spring onions from the first bag, and begins her lunch.

Meanwhile, I begin putting some of my stuff out, like it used to be.

I don't know why, but I want the past to swallow me whole and destroy me into little pieces.

Maybe because I've lost my 'used to be's within a month.

I'm done quickly, and it's nearly noon by the time Miku motions for me.

"Pepper," she says, so I dig for it from a grocery bag, and toss it to her. She grinds it into Rin's nose, but the girl doesn't even twitch.

"Rose," and with that, it is put up to Rin's nose, but that doesn't work, either.

"Soap," and so on. She tried pinching, tongs on her eyebrow, pulling her hair, twisting her ear, shoving an orange into her mouth, dropping lemon juice into her mouth, cutting an onion and putting it in front of her eyes...

"IPod," she whines, and barely catches it. She half-heartedly plays a song, but Rin's still asleep. Miku sighs, turns it off, and lays next to Rin, drooping off.

Then, as Miku's finger lightly brushes Rin's collarbone, the blonde jerks awake, gasping. She sneezes, cries, and falls off her chair all at the same time. She's laughing somewhere within the mix. Then, she runs to the bathroom, and blows her nose- most likely to get rid of the pepper. When she comes back out, Piko's woken up from his cat-nap, Kaito is struggling to get out of his restraint, and Miku's cleaning up the mess. I'm drooping off a chair, nearly to the ground. I jerk up when I feel dizzy, and then, Miku shoves a fresh carrot in my mouth, so I sit up.

"What the hell did you guys do? Where are we?" Miku looks at me hopefully, but I mouth at her, 'No way in hell.' She pouts, then turns to Rin.

"We're at Gumi's new place, and you wouldn't wake up, so we..."

"So, in short, I was passed out?" I nod with piko, who's hair is ruffled in a bushy manner. I snort.

"Well... I sort of saw this weird light... and I think that was when I passed out. So, I sort of saw this mirror, and then I forget most of it..." I realised that she was lying, so I shook my head at Miku when she raised an eyebrow.

Then, she fingered a small chain that was around her neck, which had a small, lavender rose charm. It was beautifully carved, and very realistic. She touched the center gem, a yellow one, which glinted in the light. She smiled.

"One thing I do remember is that there was this really cute boy in my dream. He looked like me, but his hair is all messy, and it's pulled up in a ponytail. He's about my height, and he's..." She trailed off, spinning in a circle, her eyes dreamy. Miku smiled slyly, and I giggled.

"He's the Romeo to your Juliet, huh?"

"No... he's the Romeo to my Cinderella... because Cinderella has the happy ending, right?"

I hope that maybe, in the end, Piko and I can have that Cinderella ending too.
