This isn't the entire chapter, but I wanted you guys to know I haven't given up. I will update it later.
You thought you were protecting your family. You thought you could keep them safe from the League, from the Undertaking, from everything dangerous in the world. But you look through Laurel's bloodwork, the poison you've become so acquainted to from the league, see your mother lying unconscious in the van as you dodge arrows, you realize that you can't. No matter what you do, you can't keep the people you love from your heart-broken Demon.
You see it in your father's eyes: the struggle to understand crossed with the longing for his baby girl to be happy. You want to remind him that you're not his baby girl anymore, but he doesn't deserve that. You just hope that he'll understand what is required of you. Everyone else thinks you're dead anyway. You'll just prove them right.
You stagger; she catches you, like she always has. She searches for a reason, and your heart breaks at her anguished scream. You struggle, even now, to protect your family, protect them from her. But the poison has taken effect. You're dying.
And then everything is a blur of movement and arrows, flashes of green, black and red. You fight off the poison with every ounce of effort you have left. You save her life. When you come to, she is standing in front of you, tears she is too proud to let fall lingering in her eyes. She releases you, but you wonder the price. You wonder if it's worth it.
Life goes back to normal. Or, as normal as your life can get. You reconnect with your family, you look after Sin, you train, you fight. But then impending doom takes its place in Starling once again. You need to protect them. So you go.
When she sees you, she doesn't believe it. She dismisses you as a dream; wishful thinking. It isn't until your lips are on hers, your arms around her waist, pulling her into your body, that she believes it's you. The tears she was too proud to let fall then fall now.
She agrees to help you, but at a price. You must come back, sell your soul to the demon, pay your dues. You know she wishes with all her heart that it didn't have to be this way, but demons are demons. You agree to come back, to killing, to the League, because it's her. And it's your family. There's nothing you wouldn't do for them.
You arrive home, and the battle is almost upon them. Oliver won't accept it, but it's the only way to keep the city safe.
