Reviews:

erching: I already know but it's hard because I don't know where I'm going wrong. I wish I had a beta but they're in short supply right now. But if you're volunteering, that'd be great.

Cmedina1: When did that happen? I should have put Ruby but I guess I made a typo. Roman did that because he's a ladies man as well as a criminal if you know what I mean. But I'm sure I can make this a RoseWick fic if you want me to. And I fixed this chapter just for you. You're welcome.

Renaxan: Right here.

Archangel Xireon Chaos God: Good to know. I'll be sure to use that.

Notes: None that I can think of.

Cut The Head Off The Snake

In an abandoned warehouse, Roman Torchwick looked at the map in front of him with annoyance. Ever since the Akatsuki fucked up someone's mind in broad daylight, they started having huntsmen patrol the city day and night and it made things very difficult for him, the white fang, and Cinder who he really didn't want to upset at the moment. But life was so difficult for him. Everything south of the shop Dust 'Till Dawn was Akatsuki territory and unlike Cinder who would incinerate him in under a minute, the Akatsuki would kill him slowly if he invaded their privacy without an explanation.

Roman smoked one of his sagars to relieve some of the stress but to no avail. A White Fang grunt showed up with a crate of dust. Roman paid him and sent him and the crate of dust on their way. That was good news though. To see another box of dust instead of a black bag or having them get arrested. Roman sat down on a metal chair and smoked his sagars. 'Screw this. If Flame Bitch wants me to work, then she'll have to come here and make me.'

Meanwhile, Prof. Port's Classroom

Professor Peter Port was for lack of a better word...theatric. He liked to dramatize everything. Even grimm. He thought it made the class fun but in reality...it made the class really, really boring. "Monsters….demons….prowlers of the night. Yes, the creatures of grimm have many names but us, they are known as prey. Hahaha!" Crickets. "Vale as well as the other three kingdoms are safe havens in an otherwise treacherous world. Our planet is absolutely teeming with creatures that would love nothing more than to tear you to pieces. And that's where you come in.

Huntsmen. Huntresses." Port winked at the last part and made a lot of girls uncomfortable. "People who have sworn to protect those who cannot protect themselves. From what, you ask? Why the very world! That is what you are training to become. But first, a story." People stopped listening at this point.

A few minutes later, Port decided to randomly call on someone to fight a grimm. A beowulf to be exact. Imagine Ren's surprise when he was picked. He wondered if he was caught but quickly squashed the idea. Everyone above the age of 19 would be all over him by now.

Ren got into a combat stance at the front of the lecture hall and when the grimm charged at him, he surprised the whole room by blocking. He used his aura to shield his hands and after he got a good grip on the monster's fangs, he broke them off and stabbed it in the eyes with its own fangs.

The students were stunned at the brutality, even against a grimm. Profesor Port seemed impressed. "Very good, Ren. To use its fangs as knives and stab it in the eyes….hahaha! You have the makings of a true huntsman. Quick, efficient, and clever with a hint of brutality. Monsters and criminals will show no mercy so neither should we. That is all. Dismissed."

The students left a little shaken after what they had just seen.

In Glynda's combat class, things seemed to get worse. Cardin pretty much beat the ever living shit out of the leader of Team JNPR. For better or worse, they still had time for one more round and somehow, Ren just knew he was gonna get picked and lo and behold, he did.

"Lie Ren. Please choose your opponent." Said Prof. Goodwitch.

Pyrrha whispered in his ear. "Cardin…."

Ren raised an eyebrow but nodded nonetheless. "Team Cardinal."

"Are you sure?" Asked the hot teacher.

Ren nodded. "Yes, I'm sure."

"Alright then. Team CRNL and Lie Ren please come to the arena." After everyone was set, Glynda gave the green light. "3...2….1...FIGHT!"

"Manners." Ren locked the arena shield from the inside. "Maketh." He closed the bolt on the arena door. "Man." And then gave the arena shield one last check. "Do you know what that means?" No one in the room seemed to know other than Nora and a now very worried Glynda. "Then let me teach you a lesson." He kicked a baseball sized piece of concrete at Cardin's head and it hit him square in the face. Causing him to hit the floor in a daze. Ren walked up to the remaining three. "Are we going to stand around all day, or are we going to fight?"

Sky Lark threw a sloppy punch that was redirected into Dove's face. Causing Dove to kiss the concrete. Russel pulled out Shortwings in their dagger form and when he tried to stab Ren, one dagger hit the newly awakened Cardin the the chest and the other was twisted out of his arm and he also took it to the chest. Their auras took all the damage but it still hurt. A lot.

What happened next was brutal. Ren used his hand-to-hand skills to dislocate their shoulders, elbows, and legs until they couldn't move and when all of them were down for the count, Ren kicked Cardin in the gut for good measure. "Call the match." He looked back at them. "And call the medics. I leave you to clean up this refuse." He unlocked the arena and left.

Meanwhile with the students

The students flinched every time someone on Team CRDL got hit. They felt that Ren was too vicious for his own good. Other than Pyrrha as she wanted this and Nora because she'd seen and done worse.

Ruby looked less than happy. "I know Cardin's a bully but...isn't this a bit much?"

"Yes, and your point?" Asked Nora. "Renny is going apeshit on those losers and I for one, and enjoying it."

"How can you say that?!" Demanded Ruby.

"Yeah, well when you grow up outside in some of the worst places in the world, you either kill or be killed." Ruby looked back at the match. "And if Ren really wanted to kill them, they'd be dead in five minutes." Ren punched Dove in the throat and the resulting noise caused even Nora to cringe. "He'd need a breathing tube for weeks if it wasn't for his aura."

Ruby looked at Jaune. "Jaune? Can't you tell them to cool it or go easy on them?"

The boy chuckled. "He is going easy on them. I don't know what his full strength is, nor do I want to know. All I know is that those guys are lucky to be awake right now. Although I am a little surprised. The only time he fights this hard is if Pyrrha or Nora are his opponents."

Ruby looked at her feet and didn't say anything until class ended and Glynda dismissed them.

In an abandoned warehouse, a hot woman with half of the fall maiden's powers named Cinder looked at Roman with disapproval. "Well? What have you been doing?"

Roman tried"I-uh-um-I got you some dust?"

Cinder's annoyance levels went up. "I can see that, Roman. Now tell me what else you've done? Have you taken care of our rat? Have you made preparations for the grimm invasion at Mountain Glenn?" No response. "Yeah, didn't think so." Cinder put her hand on Roman's cheek and smiled sweetly. A little too sweetly. "Please give me what I want. Failing to do so could be...bad for business. We don't want that, now do we?"

"Yeah, yeah. Give me two weeks and I'll have everything under control."

"I'm sure you will. Now do be careful. It would be terrible if you got burned doing something stupid." Cinder superheated a small spot on Roman's cheek and gave him a blistering second degree burn. It would take weeks for it to fully heal, even with aura. "Run along now." Roman walked out of the room holding his burned cheek.

When Roman got back to his personal quarters, he didn't even sit down. He picked up the phone and texted his partner-in-crime, Neapolitan. Neo for short. "Meet me at Junior's place tomorrow at 8PM armed and ready. We're leaving."

"Yes."

Roman immediately started packing his things and called Nagato using the burner scroll he was given.

Sasori called another meeting. His spy network had uncovered some very interesting information. Jacques Schnee was not the CEO of the SDC. It was Willow, his wife.

But Hidan was less than happy. "Get on with it, heathen. I must get back to sacrificing your kind to Lord Jashin!"

Kakuzu grunted. "Shut up."

"How dare-"

"Enough! Both of you!" Yelled Nagato. "Keep in mind Hidan that you are only here right now because of the fear you put into our enemies with your brutality and insanity." Nagato glared at Hidan through the jutsu. "Don't think I won't rip your soul out and cash in your bounty to help the Akatsuki." He took a deep breath. "Sasori? I believe you have something important to tell us?

"Jacques Schnee is not the CEO of the SCD. His wife is but he controls it through blackmail and fear." Spoke the immortal puppet master.

"Very interesting. Take her alive but leave no other survivors." Ordered Nagato. "On a better note, Roman called and he wants our protection. In exchange, he gave us critical information on the White Fang, who his boss is, and who his boss's boss is. To return the favor, Itachi and Kisame will guard him."

"So the bastard has a wife and kids, huh? Hostage material?" Asked Zabuza.

"No. He only cares about the company so hostages are a waste of time and energy." Nagato thought for a moment. "You up for an S-Call Civi Exfil mission?" Zabuza smirked darkly. "I'll take that as a yes. You and Haku will get out while Sasori and Deidara deal with whoever shoes up and then torch the place when you're done." They flickered out after that and went to work. "The rest of us will give the settlements the two months' notice. Our kingdom starts before next year." Everyone else flickered out to follow orders.

Zabuza and co

The closer they got to Atlas, the colder it got and there was a lot of snow as well. The trees were still green; evergreens most likely, but it was hard to not leave footprints in the snow but that was proving to be difficult even in the trees. Nevertheless, they kept traveling towards the Schnee Manor.

One hour later, they ran into the first patrol and killed all of them in seconds. The first patrol was good news and bad news. It meant they were getting closer but it also meant there would be a lot more of them as they got farther in. True to their guesses, they ran into another patrol that was beheaded by Zabuza's sword in seconds.

After three hours of nothing but 3-5 man patrols, the group started getting suspicious. Zabuza narrowed his eyes. "I think we're walking into a trap."

"What makes you say that?" Asked Deidara.

"We're well behind enemy lines and all we've seen are grimm patrols. Jacques is either that arrogant or we're walking into a trap. Either way, his home security is going to be ten times better than this." Zabuza was proven correct when he sensed 150 hostile presanses. They were walking and talking but still had the forest as cover. Zabuza took a peak and swore. "I was right. They got an army waiting for us and there's no getting around it."

Sasori analyzed the area. They were 30 feet away and yet they weren't firing. So they either didn't see them or were that cocky. Sasori knew there was no way to do this quietly but there might be a way to keep this contained. He looked at Zabuza. "How far can your Hidden Mist Jutsu reach?"

"From here to there and enough to use it in combat, about an hour. And then I'll need to make it thicker to hide you two."

"Do it. We're out of options."

Zabuza casted the jutsu.

With Jacques's private army, one hour later

Captain Price narrowed his eyes. A thick mist rolled in and was hell on the detection systems. It also prevented them from seeing anything farther than six feet in front of their faces. He had no choice but to wait it out and hope it didn't come from the Akatsuki members they were trying to get rid of. But the moment the mist got six times thicker and he lost sight of the tank he was in, did he realize he was dealing with the Akatsuki. He had to warn his men. But when he opened his mouth, he choked because the mist was so thick.

"Ten. Points. Larynx. Spine. Lungs. Liver. Jugular. Subclavian Artery. Femoral Artery. Kidneys. Heart. Brain. Now, which shall be my kill point?" Those on foot stood back to back in circles of five each but it did them no good. Zabuza slaughtered each set in seconds but he left 30 for Sasori. "Sasori. If you would?"

His deep voice was even deeper and more creepy in the mist. "Gladly." His puppets killed the rest of them before they hit the ground. "I'm dropping a collection beacon. It would be a shame to let all this go to waste." With that, the assassination team went on to storm the Shcnee Mansion.

After getting around the cameras and quietly killing the front guards, they opened Jacques's office where he was talking about opening another faunus slave mine. That is, until Zabuza cut them off. "Well, if it isn't the backstabbing, cruel, heartless, and cowardly Jacques and Whitly Schnee. The White Fang put a $1T bounty on your head. I highly doubt they have that kind of money but I'm sure we'll get something." The bastards reached for their weapons but were beheaded by Zabuza's very long sword. "Anyone know where the girl is?"

"She's in her bedroom practicing the art of alcoholism." Said Deidara.

"Not very artistic." Replied Sasori.

"That we can agree on. Haku. Go get the girl while we take care of the rest."

"And how do you suppose we do that?" Asked Haku.

"Why, sound the alarm of course." Replied Deidara as he sounded the alarm. "Get going, Haku."

Zabuza smirked. "We'll be back, Haku. But right now we've got places to see, people to kill, and things to go boom. Just be out of the mansion in 30 minutes or less." The group went their separate ways.

The alarm blared loudly as hundreds of soldiers came running in the building but little did they know, it was trapped. And they walked right into it. "Art is an EXPLOSION!" The floor detonated and those without aura were killed instantly. Those who had it were no worse for wear but in a lot of pain. Reinforcements were called and another battalion made its way to their location.

This time, they went up the stairs in squads only to be ambushed and killed by puppets with poisons strong enough to put down a grown elephant before it hits the ground. Unfortunately, they still managed to gain ground through sheer numbers alone but every inch was paid for with lots of Atlesian blood.

Four long hours and 200 bodies later, they finally made it into the room where an exploding clay clone of Zabuza, Deidara, and Sasori in his Hiriko puppet sitting on the desk.

The man who was in charge winced. "Deidara: The Mad Bomber. Known for his mass destruction and exploding clay. Made the bingo book as an S-rank Flee On Sight when you destroyed an SDC factory and a $6M bounty to count." He looked at Sasori. "Sasori of the Red Sands. Known for controlling his very lethal puppets and even more deadly poisons. Made the bingo book when he slaughtered a contingent of White Fang that left the sand in that area blood red and the stain has yet to leave." He looked at the Zabuza clone. "Zabuza Momochi: Demon of the Mist. Known for the assassination of several corrupt officails and being untracable when he creates his mist that's so thick, you can't see past your own nose." He knew he had to stall and hoped someone called for reinforcements. "A bit much for an assassination, even for someone like him. So what gives?"

"Betrayal. We took care of a White Fang cell for him but instead of paying us, he sent an entire battalion after us. We're sending a message and I'm sure you can figure out what it is." Said Zabuza. He pretended to look at his watch. "We're on a tight schedule so we have to run. See ya!"

When they melted into clay, the man in charge turned around. "RUN!" The clones and other explosives around the mansion exploded and no one other than the real Akatsuki members, their target and one other person made it out in one piece.

While Zabuza, Haku, Deidara, and Sasori were raising unholy hell in Atlas, Itachi and Kisame were having mint tea with Roman in a fancy safe house while Roman gave them all the information he promised.

Roman Torchwick looked outside the window in happiness. He had two of the strongest people in the world guarding him and they already dealt with two of his former acquaintances.

Flashback

Roman sat down on the couch with a map. "We're based out of a condemned warehouse in the shady part of town. No one goes there because of where it is and because they think it could fall on their heads at any minute." He pointed to another spot on a map in downtown Vale.. "This is a heavily guarded supply station. I'm sure you two could [ull it off without a scratch but I think you'll have a hard time keeping it quiet." He pointed at a spot south of the city and 30 miles into the forest. "This is where we're storing and training the White Fang for the invasion of Beacon. I can't tell you when but I'm willing to bet that it'll be when something big is happening to cause tons of panic and cause an increase in grimm attacks." He was about to point to another spot but they heard a knock on the door. "You expecting guests?"

Itachi narrowed his eyes. "No, we're not. Kisame will guard you." When Itachi answered the door, he found a dark skinned girl with green clothes and a light skinned boy in gray and black clothes. Itachi glared down at them, amplifying their fear. "Why are you here?"

They didn't bother responding. They just attacked. When the boy tried to attack him, he found Itachi's hand around his neck while looking into his sharingan eyes. He felt the girl put him in an illusion. He dispelled it with his sharingan, put the boy in a paralysis genjutsu, and went to deal with the girl.

She tried to cast illusion after illusion after illusion on Itachi but it was futile and physically impossible. Itachi used Tsukiyomi to get information and was rather worried about what he got. They were going to destroy Beacon Academy and invade Vytal during the Vytal Festival with a combination of Grimm and White Fang with Cinder leading the charge. She would target the Beacon teaching staff while everyone else killed the students and faculty. Itachi asked the boy the same questions and got the same answers so he went back in to report his results. All in the span of five minutes.

Flashback end

"Well that was fast. What did you learn?" Asked Roman.

"They're going to destroy Beacon Academy and invade Vytal during the Vytal Festival with a combination of Grimm and White Fang with a woman with ½ the fall madden powers named Cinder leading the charge."

"Do we give this information to the other kingdoms?"

Kisame smirked darkly. "Nope. You would need a truly massive and well supplied army to launch an invasion of that size, even with grimm. Our plan is to slaughter them until there's no one left to slaughter. And the fact that we now have a name and face means that we can kill this Cinder person. If you wanna kill a snake, you gotta chop off the head."

Roman looked amazed at how good the two Akatsuki members were but he had one more piece of information. "I hate to break it to you, but there's also someone named Adam and no, I don't know his last name. All I know is that he's called the White Fang's Raging Bull. A-Rank in the bingo book and $1M bounty on his head. $2M alive." Itachi nodded and Roman sighed happily. "No one knows I sided with you and when all the higher ups are gone, the White Fang will either disband or become easy prey."

Roman took a sip of his tea. "Do you still need weapons?"

"Yes." Said Itachi.

"Give me the money, I give you the guns." Roman stood up and walked towards his bedroom. "I'm tired. Imma take nap. Later.

Well? What do you think? I'm sorry about the grammar errors but I can't help it because I don't know what I'm doing wrong but keep in mind that some of them are intentional like the last two sentences of the chapter. That's all I have. Remember to leave a review and check out my other stories that haven't been discontinued.
