Chapter 1: A familiar world yet different.

The first thing that Shaun felt was the grassy feeling that brushed up against his fingers. He opened his eyes and immediately was greeted by the peaceful night sky. He wondered to himself what had happened to him. Then the memories come back to him like a tidal wave, The Council discovered his existence, the warriors of light pursued him, and the portal's sudden disturbance. He grasped his head as the memories came back to him.

After recovering from his sudden memory struck, he looked around the area where he awoke. He was inside a forest, tall trees that surrounded his area of sight. He then got off the ground and dust himself off. When he looked at the sky to look at the moon, he was shocked when he saw that the moon was broken into pieces. Father never told him that the Forge Lands had a broken moon.

'Did the portal shoot me into the wrong world?' Shaun thought himself as he still looked at the broken moon.

He then summoned Dust. The crow appeared at his shoulder.

"Dust scout the area," Shaun said to the crow. The crow then flew into the night sky. Shaun then began to walk through the forest. For now, he needed to find civilization, if there is one, to begin with. Shaun walked through the dense forest, it was very dark and little light illuminated the forest. When he got out of the forest there was a river not far from him. He headed to the river and crouch to drink water because he was thirsty.

After that Dust came back to him. The crow landed on his right shoulder.

"Hmm… there's a small village not far from here. Alright, I should ask the locals here for directions." Shaun said to the crow. Shaun then summoned Despair and rode to the said village. He traveled across hills and forests to get to the village. After a bit while, he was overlooking the said village that Dust found. The village was rather small, there is a Tavern, a park, and buildings that were below height.

"So, this is the village you mentioned about Dust." Shaun said overlooking the city on top of his stead. Shaun then went down from the hill and resumed through the road leading to the village. Suddenly Shaun heard a female scream in the woods. He pondered his decision to just ignore the scream or help the woman who was in danger. Remembering his mother's words to help someone in need, Shaun made Despair rode to the source of the scream.

He quickly traversed the dense green forest in the night in the hope to save the woman. When he finally got out of the forest, Shaun looked at the scene. The woman with chestnut hair with a blouse was surrounded by three tall creatures. Shaun knew a demon when he saw one, but the creature that he was looking is far from a demon. They were tall, hunched, and had a white mask with red eyes. The creatures had black fur, claws, and looked like werewolves.

The woman was cornered into a stone wall, where the wolf-like creatures were ready to dig their claws to kill the woman. Shaun then fired his magnum pistol at the two creatures at the back of the front wolf. This made the two look at the assailant at the back. The woman was surprised too to see Shaun.

The first wolf from the pact moved to Shaun. He lunged at Shaun, but Shaun side-stepped the attack, then he delivered a downward slashed from his combined scythes, instantly sliced the wolf-like creature in half. The other two wolfs then, ignoring the wounded woman, became wary around Shaun. The two tall wolfs then began to circle Shaun, waiting for the right opportunity to strike. Shaun didn't give them any time to wait. He immediately used his shadow grip to pull himself to the wolf and kick it on his guts. He then used his two scythes to incapacitate the wolf. Then at a quick pace, speared the other one through his heart with a transformed scythe-spear.

After Shaun killed the werewolves, he approached the wounded woman. The woman appeared wounded on her bicep, which she is now applying with a first medkit.

"Th-thank you for saving me." The woman said now with a bandage armed.

"You're welcome. I'm sorry that I didn't come here sooner." Shaun said to the woman.

"Oh! It-it's fine. But may I ask, are you a Huntsmen?" The woman said. Now Shaun was confused he didn't know the title of 'Huntsmen'. So, he said something else.

"… I am a traveler." Shaun said. The woman eyed the bony masked man for a bit, wondering if he might be lying.

"Oh… ok then." The woman said, she forgot to tell her name to the traveler, "Oh yeah I almost forgot, my name is Selina Nnhira." She said offering her other hand. Shaun was debating himself if he should tell her his real name, but he decided not to.

"… Argus," Shaun said grasping her hand and shaking it.

"It's that your real name?" the woman asked him curiously.

"May I ask, why are you in the woods?" Shaun said, dodging the woman's question. The woman widened her eyes. She was about to ask why he didn't answer her question but decided not to because of the aura that the… man? His voice was relatively young, but he is taller than her! Shaun waited for the woman's musing his feature. Running out of patients, he coughed himself to snap her out of her musing. The woman was startled and she quickly apologize to him.

"I was picking up apples for my father. Today he will celebrate his 50th years of being a village chief." Selina said.

"… I see, is the village that you inquired is there?" Shaun said pointing to the not far village.

"Yes."

"Why didn't you get someone to accompany you?" Shaun asked her.

"I don't need to. The place where I usually picked my apples didn't have any Grimm." Selina said.

'So, that is the name of the creatures that I fought.' Shaun thought to himself.

"But then before you came a Grimm suddenly lunged at me out of nowhere. I tried to run, but one of them managed to inflict a wound on my right arm. I escaped by plunging a nearby rock to its eye. After that the rest you know." Selina said.

"Ok then, seeing that our path is currently aligned, I could escort you to the village," Shaun said. Selina nodded. The two of them then walked to the village. Shaun didn't want to use his stead because he didn't want to risk getting any questions.

Along the way, they talked, with Shaun asking questions about where he is (which he said to her that his map was torn by the grim) and Selina asking about where he came from, but Shaun said to her that he came from an isolated area, where the population was currently very low.

15 minutes later, the two of them arrived at the village's gate. The gate was average in height, there were two guards present wearing a knight's armor. The guards looked at the two of them.

When one of the guards looked at the approaching figures, he gasped as he recognized the woman. He then quickly approached Selina and Shaun.

"Milady! What happened to you? you're injured." Samuel said to her.

"I'm fine Mr. Samuel. I've already bandaged my arm and my aura is currently healing my wound." Selina said, looking somewhat calmed.

"Oh! Of course, milady." He then looked at the masked man. He eyed Shaun suspiciously.

"And who are you might be?"

"… Argus." Shaun said, using his aliases.

"Argus?"

"Forgive me, Mr. Samuel. He referred not to tell his real name." Selina explained to Samuel. Samuel, the village's guard, was a tall man, with a greying goatee and a great sword on his back. Samuel then turned back to Selina.

"Milady. Forgive me for asking, what had happened to you?"

"Three Beowolves attacked me when I was picking apples in the forest. Then this… man saved me from me and killed the three beowolves who are responsible for inflicting the wound on my arm."

"I see," Samuel then turned to Shaun.

"As one of the knights of the village's knights. I am deeply thankful for you for saving lady Selina."

"No problem."

"Mr. Argus, may ask what's your reason for coming here?" Samuel asked.

"I am a traveler. I was hoping to find a settlement or town to rest a bit." Shaun said to the older guard.

"I see. Well then, lady Selina, the chief is waiting for you at his house. He was worried when you didn't come home."

"Very well Mr. Samuel," Selina said to him. The guards then opened the gate of the village. The two of them then enter the village and were greeted by people. For Shaun, it felt… weird seeing this many people and happy. Back home the humans there were in a constant fight with the Demons and Draughts. Everyday day lived in fear and anxiety, but here they were happy and lively. People were doing jobs and some merchants were selling their goods to the villagers.

He almost felt relieved, but then he remembered the three creatures he saw today.

'So, the grim is the enemy of humanity and they are a threat to humanity… if that so then It's not that far different than back home.' he thought. The two of them then went to head to the woman's house. After a couple of minutes, they arrived at the woman's house. Shaun could only describe the house as an old house in the medieval area. Haystacks were used as the roof's covering, there was a horse stable with two horses.

The woman then knocked at the door. The door then opened and in front of the two, there was a man in his 50's. He had grey hair, wore a white shirt with black cargo pants, and brown boots.

The old man looked surprised when she saw the woman.

"Father!" Selina said. The father then hugged the daughter.

"Selina my girl. What happened to you?!" As his father left go Selina told her father what had happened to her. After that the father was relieved, he then turned to Shaun.

"So… Mr. Argus. Thank you for saving my daughter from danger."

"No problem Mr…?"

"Jacob Nnhira." The father said offering a handshake, which Shaun shook.

"Well since you saved my daughter, I will reward you for your chivalry. Please tell me what you want?"

Shaun then thought for a moment. He needed a map of the world he knew that he wasn't in the Forge Lands and he also needed the money since dollars weren't the currency in this world.

And of course, a temporary place so he could rest for a bit.

"Yes Mr. Nnhira, I needed a new map, some money, and a place to rest, for I will continue my travel tomorrow."

"Very well then. I will tell the guards to give you the things you need. The place you will be staying for the night is the Inn not far from here," the father said to Shaun.

"Very well Mr. Nnhira."

Shaun then went to the Inn where Mr. Nnhira told him. After a couple of walks later, Shaun arrived at the said inn. Inside there were many people talking and drinking. Again, Shaun felt weird seeing the happy faces of humans. He then went to the owner of the Inn, which was located at the bar section of the Inn. He headed and took a seat beside a man who was drunk. The guy wore a cape, dark clothes, and had spiky black hair.

The guy was snoring at the table, a glass of half drank alcohol at his right hand. On the other, he was holding a weapon of some sort. Shaun being in this new world was looking at the weapon with curiosity. The weapon had a trigger on its handle and gears at the crossguard's area. He didn't notice that the guy who was sleeping began to wake up.

"See what you like there kid?" the drunk guy said. Shaun was almost startled, he then looked at the now awake drunk person.

"Sorry, it's just It was my first time seeing that kind of weapon." Shaun said.

"Haha, really? Then what about those blades that are on your hips?" The said to him pointing his two scythes. Shaun then eyed the drunk man. The guy was observant, he must not be an ordinary guy then.

"Well… being a traveler we needed to prepare ourselves after all."

"Traveler… huh. You cannot fool me, kid, I know a fighter when I see one." Shaun was surprised by the guy's statement.

"You could say that. I had my fights with De-Grim over my travels." Shaun said almost slipping up the word demon from his mouth. The guy then looked at Shaun, suspicious evident on it.

"Relax kid, I'm not going to do anything to you. The name's Qrow Branwen, Hunstmen." The guy named Qrow said.

"…Argus," Shaun said.

"An alias alright then. Well, I won't hold you up no more since you have some things to do." Qrow then got up from his chair and went upstairs. After that, Shaun turned to the bartender.

"Excuse me, I want to order a room for a day."

"Sure, that will be 90 Lien."

"Forgive me, but the chief said that he already requested a room for me before coming here."

"Oh! You're the one that the chief said will be staying a day. Alright here's your key, your room is upstairs, the second floor." The owner then gave Shaun the key to his room. Shaun then walked up the stairs. He then searched for his room, room 90. He found the room that was located at the end of the hall on the left side.

He then headed to his room and unlocked the room afterward. After that, he opened the door. The room was small. A simple one-man bed, a nightstand beside the bed, and a simple clothes cabinet. He then walked to the bed and sat on it. He contemplated the events that he just faced.

'It's strange being here seeing many humans in one place. Not only that, there were those creatures the grim? And huntsmen? This world is weird. I need more information about the history and those creatures. Something tells me that there's more variation of this so-called grim.' Shaun taught. He then heard a knock on the door.

He opened the door and was surprised to see Samuel.

"Greetings Mr. Argus. I came here to give you the lien and a map that you earned from saving Lady Selina." He said giving him the lien and map.

"Thank you, Mr. Samuel"

"You are welcome." Samuel then left and Shaun closed the door again. Shaun placed the map on the coffee table. The map showed him the continents and kingdoms. The continent that the portal spat him to was Sanus and its kingdom, Vale. There were other continents and kingdoms that were on the map that Shaun could read. Now that he got the map and his location, he only needed to find a place to get some information.

'The nearest kingdom is Vale. I should go there then. Vale must have a good library.' Shaun thought. Now he has gotten a destination. Shaun then glanced at the clock. It's already midnight. He then folded the map and shove it inside his jacket pocket. He then took off his mask and immediately plopped himself on top of the bed. He slept soundly, dreaming his mother's smile.

Not far off from the village, inside the dark forest, there was a mass of grim. At the center of it was a large humanoid grim with large horns on its forehead. His body was full of bony armor. His limbs on the upper body had two pairs, each of them having its own functionality. The right limb had claws that could pierce armor, the left was a big battering ram made of bones, the right top of the hand was made of a cone-shaped sword, made of bones, and the left top had a nozzle which could fire shots of flames. The four-limbed grim stood tall at 18 meters in height, making the title of the Titan grim. His awakening was triggered by something in the village and it didn't like it. It felt… anxious.

Basically, this grim was ancient and he scents something peculiar at the village where the Half Nephilim was sleeping. The hordes of grim and its leader the titan grim were going to attack the village at sunrise. For now, the titan grim needed an army to wipe out the village.

Morning dawned the village. Chirpings of birds on tree branches made the morning more delightful for the people of the village. But suddenly… loud footsteps were heard by the villagers and it shook the stony ground of the village.

The guards that were spreading of at the village's walls sounded the alarms. The villagers then immediately got into a panic. Some quickly went to their homes to hide and some tried to find weapons to protect themselves.

Chief Jacob headed to the walls and climb up them. He turned to Samuel to ask the situation.

"Where's the grim?"

"Chief sir. We located a mass of grim, but that's not the worst problem that we will be facing." The guard then handed the chief binoculars. The chief took it and used the binoculars to look at where Samuel was pointing.

He gasped at what he saw almost dropping the binoculars. A horde of grim, Beowolfs, Ursas, and more marching their way to the village. But at the back was a large humanoid grim, that stood tall and menacing.

"Chief! What should we do?" Samuel asked.

"Evacuate the village!"

"But sir we don't have much time, by the looks of it the grim is coming here at a fast pace."

Chief Jacob was frustrated and defeated. This village was going to be destroyed by the grim. His job as the chief will end here. But a new determination that ignited inside himself, he will not let his village get destroyed by the grim.

"Then let us defend our village!" Chief Jacob said, raising his shotgun up in the air where all the guards could see. The guards also shouted their battle cries. The Chief then looked at the approaching grim. The wall's gate had already been closed when they knew that the hordes of grim were heading here. All the guards that were stationed on top of the wall were preparing their long-ranged weapons.

Samuel, the commander of the guards, was using a standard sniper rifle. The Chief also used one of the guard's weapons to prepare himself to help his guards, even if it kills him. As the sound of footsteps of grim grew louder and the hordes of grim were slowly approaching the village, the guards and the chief began to tense up.

"Sir… it has been an honor to serve you."

"My honor is yours, Samuel."

As the grim came approaching them, Samael told the guards to fire at their rifle's visibility. The first fire was shot at a Beowulf, then another. Soon shot was fired from up the walls at the approaching grim. Then out of nowhere, a Nevermore, a grim with bird-like features, appeared out of nowhere and shot out his spear-like feathers to stop the fires from the guards. Some of the guards managed to evade the spear-like feathers and some weren't lucky enough. Then the chief told the guards to move to the west side of the wall to use the giant automatic crossbow to kill the nevermore.

"Chief you go on ahead! I try to keep the nevermore busy!" Samuel said.

"Be careful then!" the chief and the other guards started to head to the west side of the wall.

Meanwhile, Samuel was shooting the nevermore with his rifle. He shot it on the mask and then the nevermore will shot out its feathers to him. He evaded of course but sometimes he didn't. good thing he got his aura, but he cannot rely too much on his aura for it will surely run out.

He evaded another spear-like feather. He looked at his dust ammunition. Only a handful of fire, lightning, and ice bullets were inside the bag. Then suddenly a Beowulf appeared out of nowhere. It lunged at him, laying on the ground. He tried to get his steel great-sword, but the grim then kept his hands from getting his sword from his back.

All his life flashbacked to him, as the grim was ready to bite his head off with its mouth. He closed his eyes to wait for the inevitable of his death. But then nothing happened, he opened his eyes and saw a disintegrated Beowulf killed by the spiked hair man.

"Are you alright?" Qrow Branwen asked the man that saved Samael.

"I am alright sir." He said taking the offered hand so he could stand up. Qrow then looked at the approaching grim, Ursas and Beowolfs alike were trying to destroy the tall gates and some Beowulfs tried to climb the walls with their claws but was shot down by the guards.

"How long will that gate hold?" Qrow asked Samael.

"It could hold for a little longer with the Ursas and Beowolfs, but bigger than that…"

"Yeah-yeah I know. Now, you should join with others." Qrow said jumping down from the wall. Qrow while falling, Qrow shot the Beowolfs with Harbinger's gun form that was trying to climb up the walls. He then turned himself into a black crow and flew to the Ursas that was trying to destroy the tall gate.

He turned himself into a human again and then slashed at their backs with Harbinger's scythe form. He first landed at the back of the second of the Ursa. He then beheaded the thing with his Harbinger's scythe form. His battle instinct told him to duck a horizontal attack from the other Ursa. He then shot a bullet from his weapon and sliced the Ursa's head off.

He took a breath to observe his surroundings. The other grim that was behind the two Ursas was being dealt by the Chief and Guards at the west side of the wall. The Nevermore was being kept busy by Samuel and the guards by the west side, using a gigantic crossbow to kill it. But suddenly, the grim titan humanoid let out an ear-piercing scream.

Qrow and the other guards immediately clutch their ears close. Unknown to them the grim went back to the forest, even the nevermore. After that, they let go of their ears and saw the retreating forms of the grim.

"Sir! The grim are retreating!" Samuel said. Qrow quietly turned into a crow to head up to the wall without being seen.

"Strange…" Chief Jacob said.

"Don't let your guard down. I have a bad feeling about what's going to happen after this." Qrow said suddenly appeared out of nowhere. When the chief was going to reply to Qrow, an object was moving directly fast to them. It was quick, a boulder of a size of a car was heading to them fast, then another, and so on. The first that got hit was the west wing. The gigantic crossbow was destroyed and the lives of the guards of the west wing were lost.

The lucky ones managed to run when one of them saw the approaching boulder. Qrow and Chief Jacob managed to escape from the first boulder. The two boulders destroyed the east side of the wall and the tall gate of the village.

The remaining guards quickly headed to the front tall gate to defend any grim. Qrow and Chief Jacob then looked at the thing who threw the boulder. At the forest they could see a humanoid grim that stood tall, towering over the wall by two meters. In his hand, a boulder was prepared to be thrown again at them.

"That grim is an elder," Qrow said looking at the titan grim.

"Tha-that thing I never see something so big and dangerous. We need to kill it." Chief Jacob said.

"No, it's too strong. I already sent out a distress signal to here, backup should be here in twenty minutes."

"We cannot hold that much longer!"

"Then how do we supposed to do then?!" Qrow said, clearly frustrated by the events that had befallen them. Suddenly another boulder was released by the titan grim, but now it was burning, and it was coming straight to them. Fast.

They cannot do anything unless watch as the burning boulder approached them. Then suddenly a large figure with black shadowy wings with an equally large scythe sliced the boulder in two. The chief and the huntsmen gasped at seeing the flying figure.

"Wha-what is that?!" Chief Jacob said.

"I don't know… whatever it is it's not friends with the grim," Qrow said looking at the flying figure in front of them. The figure then dived at the swarming grim at the ground. As a result, a massive crater was formed and the center of it was none other than Shaun. His cloak flapped slowly by the wind as he slowly looked around the grim. The grim became wary looking at the mask half Nephilim.

The first grim lunged at Shaun from the top of the crater. He quickly evaded it by sliding under the Beowulf and then he sliced its guts open with his scythes on his two hands. He then shadow-grip at a Beowulf, so he could get out from the crater. Then he quickly beheaded the Beowolf. He followed up by teleporting to three Beowolfs and a pig-like grim, a Boarbatusk. He then combined his scythes into one and attack in a wide circular arc, summoning his true form, killing them. Shaun then turned again into his true form and kill the remaining grim near his vicinity.

Chief Jacob and Qrow looked at the person they met yesterday in surprise.

"That is…"

"Argus…" Qrow said finishing the chief's sentence.

"He's killing them with ease! I never saw a Huntsmen killed this many grim alone before!" Chief Jacob said looking at Shaun in awe.

'What surprised me more is that kid had more semblance than one.' Qrow thought, looking at Shaun killing Ursa with ease. Shaun then continue to reduce the number of grim that the titan grim gathered. He then avoided a burning boulder heading to him. Seeing that the titan grim is the main problem, he then summoned Despair and headed to the titan grim. He killed any grim that was on his way, a Beowulf tried to lunge at him but it met his end by his combined scythe.

The titan grim also began to move to stop Shaun. The titan grim shot fire projectiles from its upper limb. Shaun riding his stead, effortlessly evade the projectiles. He then jumped from Despair, which the horse disappeared into the ground. A black-red mist began to wrap around him. He transformed into his true form.

An incoming swipe from the titan grim's sword limb was heading to Shaun, but he flew high to evade it. Shaun then used his scythe to do a downward attack, slicing of the limb. The titan then roared at Shaun as it attacked again with his battering ram limb. Shaun then evaded again and sliced off its limb. The titan grim roared again at him as the titan grim was in an undeniable rage.

Shaun didn't let the titan grim attack him again as he flew to the titan. He prepared his scythe in a swing position. He sliced his neck off from its body, cleanly. The headless titan grim then fell with a crash. Shaun then landed from the air and turned back to his normal form. He looked at the reduced grim, they were hesitating to attack him because of its leader fate at the half Nephilim's hand.

So, the other grim began to cower in fear and they headed back inside the forest. At the top of the wall, no one was making any sound whatsoever. They have never seen anyone, even huntsmen, kill an elder grim alone. Qrow even as an experienced huntsman was absolutely awestruck, he questioned himself if he was even sober right now. Chief Jacob was lost at words, the guy who saved his daughter has now saved his village. He was extremely grateful for the guy and thankful.

Shaun, who was still on the ground, looked back at the miraculously still-standing wall. The left side of it was obliterated by the boulder from the titan grim, the right side was only barely in a good condition. He could see that there was smoke over the wall. He hoped that it didn't hit any people over the wall.

Didn't have any else to do he then summoned Despair again and headed inside the forest, leaving the village. Qrow was about to chase him when he saw in the corner of his eyes the state of the village. The boulders managed to get over the village and wrecked certain parts of the village. Several homes and recreational areas were burned because of the boulder.

'… I need another bottle of alcohol after this…' Qrow said as he and the others got into the village to find any injured villagers.

A Month Later

It has been a month since the incident from the village. Many authorities from the nearest kingdoms came into the village. Several reporters came into the village to question their story about the titan grim that attacked them. But one question that had made the headlines across the continent was the savior of the village. The people call their savior 'The Grim Reaper'. Videos from that day went viral, a guy who could turn into a grim reaper managed to slay all the grim alone. Rumor has it that the huntsmen have saved countless settlements across his path. It has piqued the interest from all the continents for who is the 'Grim Reaper' and they even try to search for this mysterious person. Some said that it was just a legend and some it was just a folktale.

One of those people who has piqued its interest in the 'Grim Reaper' rumor was a middle-aged man with silver tousled hair, brown eyes, and wore small glass spectacles. He wore an unzipped black suit over a dark green, buttoned vest, green shirt, black trousers shoes, and dark long dark-green pants. He was at a tall clocktower, green light emitting from the tower which acts as a beacon. Inside was a room fit for a headmaster of a school. The man was currently sitting on his chair and watching a video related to the 'grim reaper' rumor. One of them was the video that went viral.

The Grim Reaper had the skills of a trained Huntsmen. The way he used his scythe screamed experience. The question is that the abilities that the grim reaper displayed were never encountered by him. Transformation, manipulation in shadow, and teleportation semblance? That was unheard of.

Then a knock was heard and the man was cut from his musing.

"Come in," he said.

The door open and he was greeted by a middle-aged woman with blonde hair that was tied into a bun with a curl hanging down on the right side of the face. Her outfit consisted of a white long-sleeved, pleated top that has a wide keyhole neckline and gauntlet cuffs that flare in pleats at the wrist. Her lower body was covered by a black high-waisted pencil skirt with bronze buttons and black fading into brown stockings, black boots with bronze heels, and a cape.

"Professor Ozpin, the preparation for the new students is almost complete, and we will be opening the school year for the next two months." The woman said to the man named Ozpin.

"Thank you, Glynda," Ozpin said to the woman named Glynda.

"Are you still watching the footage of that rumor?"

"Yes. A month ago, I contacted Qrow about this mysterious person. All we knew was that his name is Argus, with no records of his existence. He just showed up at the village. He claimed to be a traveler, but his skills at fighting are in par with an experienced Huntsmen or maybe more than that and his abilities are not a semblance, but different power."

"And you wanted to find out more about this person?"

"Yes, Glynda. This… Argus person he has been saving lives whenever he goes and I believe if we play our cards right, we will have another addition in the fight against Salem." He said stood up from his seat and taking his cane which act as his weapon. He walked to the circular window of the clocktower, overlooking his school, Beacon Academy.

"How will you get him to join you?"

"I've already contacted Qrow to search him and-" Then suddenly a beeping sound was heard from his table. He walked to his table and tapped a button under it. A holographic screen appeared and displayed a person who was none other than Qrow Branwen contacting Ozpin.

"Oz, I have news." He said. He was currently in a forest setting at a branch on top of a tree.

"What is it?"

"I know where Argus is heading, and you won't believe me. He is currently heading straight to Vale, the path he took now is currently heading straight to the Emerald forest." Qrow said. The news made Ozpin widen his eyes, he then took a sip of his coffee from his beacon academy mug.

"Well… that was unexpected."

"What will you have me do now?"

"Continue to follow him, then you talk to him and admitted yourself that you were following me by my orders. Once you have done that, give him my regards." Ozpin said. Qrow then ended the call.

"What a coincidence…" Ozpin said as he continued to stare at the sky from behind the circular window of Beacon Tower.

The Black Stone is a place where the demon Samael resides, but then he vanished and lay in ruins thanks to the corruption. No one knows where he is, but Lilith, the demon that created the Nephilim race, remained at the ruined fortress. She was currently thinking of the Charred Council's chase. The Charred Council had discovered that Death had a son and his brethren was a variable that could threaten the balance across the kingdom, but then his son vanished when he jumped into the portal across worlds.

Reasons, why he vanished that the Charred Council couldn't detect his whereabouts, is unknown. But Lilith made a discovery, the son was currently in another universe. Similar to their universe, but different. You see the portal across worlds is a wormhole that connects between worlds and outside of the wormhole is nothingness. Anyone that managed to get out from the wormhole should be dead.

Yet the son lives, and he was residing in a new universe. Now Lilith is currently trying to figure out a way to get to that world. If she succeeds… well let's just say she had plans.

"… I will find a way to find you… my grandson." She said, currently making a tool to allow her to cross between universes.
