Remus/Draco - Mentor
"NO!" Draco cried out as he ran through the hallways of Hogwarts.
It couldn't be true, it just couldn't be, he was only a thirteen year old boy. He wasn't ready to take it yet, he couldn't do that. Draco's face was blank on the outside, to anyone who walked past him he could past off as fine; he was his normal self...expect to one person.
"Stupid father," Draco muttered under his breath as he walked the familiar path, "Why won't he listen to me for? Why can't he just listen to what I say for once?"
"Because it'd make things so much simpler," a voice said causing Draco to freeze, "Because if you seek him out to tell him these things it could only end in tears."
Draco turned around slowly only to find himself in an empty hallway with Professor Lupin standing in front of him, arms open in an invitation unspoken.
"Professor," Draco said as he tried to compose himself, "What are you doing here? I was on my way to see you."
Remus didn't reply, instead he kept his arms opened and offered Draco a caring smile.
It was all Draco needed before he ran into Remus' waiting arms and began to cry out the pain, soaking up as much comfort and love as he could.
