AN: Enjoy!

After their recent actions in the tub, another quick wash was in order. Vision gently helped Wanda clean herself up, and she helped him in return. Both of them giggled and blushed a little through the process. It was strangely, sweetly intimate, perhaps even more so than sex, because Wanda supposed, there was a certain amount of trust involved.

They stayed in the tub for a while, Vision holding Wanda, simply enjoying the closeness, until Wanda eventually shivered as the water grew cold, indicating that they really did need to get out.

Vision got out of the tub first, laying down an extra towel to soak up some of the water that had splashed out, and so Wanda wouldn't slip. He offered a hand to help her out of the tub, and fetched her towel before reaching for his own. Wanda smiled at him then, a wonderful soft smile, and Vision decided, right then, that he wanted to be the one to make her smile that way for the rest of his life.

Once they were dry and dressed in their nighttime garb, Wanda and Vision snuggled on her sofa for a while, watching old episodes of Malcolm In The Middle. Her few previous relationships hadn't been with people of the snuggly kind, but with Vision, she was learning to appreciate it. She looked at him, with his golden hair and kind face and sweet smile, and she felt warm and fuzzy in a way she hadn't felt in a long time, even before her brother's death.

Wanda looked at him, and she saw a future with him there. Not too long ago, Wanda hadn't been thinking any further into the future than how to get through the next few minutes of whatever day it was. At the same time, however, it all seemed new and fragile, as though it would blow away in the wind if she became too confident in it.

"Vizh?" She asked softly.

"Yes?" He replied, his fingers running through her hair.

"You know.. You know that you're important to me, right?" She looked up at him, "Even if I'm not brave enough tomorrow to say that you.. That we.."

"I know" His gaze on her softened, and he pressed a kiss to her forehead. "You are important to me too, Wanda. Whatever you do or don't decide to tell your family about us is your choice. I understand that revealing a relationship to family can feel like a big step. For example, I myself have not told Vivian about us yet.. Although I believe she may have guessed."

"Really?" Wanda blushed.

"Well, not long after she met you, she rather cheekily told me that it would be okay with her if I were to find a 'special grown up friend'" Vision chuckled. "However, I am in no great rush to confirm her suspicions. Not because I am ashamed of you, Wanda, or our relationship, not at all, but.."

"What?" Wanda asked, curious.

"Since my children were born, I haven't had much in my life that has just been.. Mine" Vision explained, blushing a little. "I am happy for you to share me with your family, if that is what you wish, and I know that I will have to share you with Viv, eventually, if you and I are to work out long term. But.. I would like to keep you to myself for a little while longer. If that is okay with you, of course."

Wanda smiled, kissing his cheek.

"Yes, that's okay with me."

Soon after, they turned off the Television and slipped into bed. Wanda drifted off in Vision's arms. Vision remained awake, just watching her for a while. Her beautiful face was peaceful in sleep in a way that she could never quite manage when she was awake, her pain over the loss of her brother, of part of herself, always tugging at the edge of her mind and heart.

No matter how happy he and Wanda were beginning to make each other, that might not ever change. But that didn't bother Vision, because he understood. He knew the pain of losing a part of himself, of watching a child he had raised and loved more than anything fade away, not being able to do anything about it.

Losing his son was always going to hurt, just as Wanda losing her brother was always going to hurt. But at least now, Vision thought, pressing a kiss to Wanda's forehead before closing his eyes in the hope of finding sleep himself, they could deal with their pain together.

Early the next morning, Wanda and Vision climbed into his car for the drive out to the Barton Farm.

As the trip went on, Wanda, clutching her gift for Nate, became increasingly anxious.

"You should try and remain calm, Wanda" Vision laid a hand on her knee as they had stopped at a set of lights, but made sure to keep his eyes on the road.

"I'm trying" Wanda sighed. "Really. It's just that.. I don't really take people I'm dating to meet the Bartons. At least, not before Today. Laura will be kind either way, that's just who she is, but Clint, well.."

"Yes?" Vision felt that it was helpful to Wanda to talk about these things.

"Clint is.. Don't get me wrong, I love Clint. He's been a second Dad to me, and he's a really, really good one. He can just be.. a little volatile, when it comes to protecting people he loves. Last time I visited, and he found out I was sleeping with someone.. He didn't exactly take it well, and that was when we really were just sleeping together. Now we're something a little more serious, and I just worry that he's going to give you the third degree if he finds out.."

"He doesn't have to find out" Vision reminded her. "As I said, you need only tell your family as much as you are comfortable with."

"I know.." Wanda smiled at him. "But it's just like you with Viv.. I can't keep us hidden forever."

"I can handle a few tough questions, if it comes to that" said Vision, reluctantly removing his hand as the lights turned green. "In the interim, though, I believe I have a plan."

"Oh? What plan?" Wanda was confused.

"I will simply have to be on my very best behaviour" said Vision. "I will make your Foster Father like me before he ever finds out about us, so that when he does, he knows he has nothing to worry about."

"You really think that will work?"

"Well, I can be very charming."

"That's true.." Wanda admitted with a small smirk, though still felt rather sceptical. "I just wonder whether anyone I bring home can be charming enough for Clint.."
