AN: Oh my god, I am so sorry! *dodges a shoe being thrown* I was *dodge* busy *dodge* with school *gets hit* Oomph! *falls on her ass* Oh god, stop throwing things at me! I wasn't able to update quickly because I was busy at school, I kind of (not just kind of) lost my draft-ish for this fic, and writer's block is such a bitch. -_- But yeah, here you go! Don't worry, I'm not abandoning any of my Destiel and Sterek fics here. :)

Oh, btw, if you're reading A Messed Up Life and The Warrior, I'm sorry to say but the next chapter of those two will probably be fillers? Because I kind of forgot my mental draft of it :P so, yeah.

Ooh, this is on my AO3 as well, btw. :)

UNBETA'D. UNEDITED. I'M LAZY.

You Found Your Way to My Heart …

0===0

A quarter to two. Dean checked his watch for the nth time that afternoon. He and Castiel were supposed to meet at two o'clock but he got there at one twenty-five; thirty-five minutes earlier than the decided time. He was so excited to see the young man again that he got there a lot earlier than expected; which was a first for Dean Winchester.

To remain inconspicuous, Dean wore a dark blue button up shirt and a white shirt underneath. He brought a baseball cap with him and sunglasses; just in case the press caught wind of his return. He wore simple jeans and black sneakers. Some spare cash was also with him because he didn't want to use his credit cards.

Ten more minutes. He thought as he looked at his watch once again. When he looked up, he saw a young man wearing a long sleeved shirt. It was one of those shirts that had an attachment to the sleeves, as if the person was wearing two shirts. The middle part of the shirt, the outer-like part was dark blue in color with Captain America's shield in the middle and written underneath was 'Capsicle', while the extension of the sleeves were white. The shirt was kind of loose on the young man but it looked fine on him. He wore black cargo pants and black running shoes. A dark brown baseball cap was on his head, which was bowed down.

Dean stared at the young man who was approaching. He studied him curiously and with a soft frown, somehow feeling like he knew him. When the young man looked up, Dean's frown dissolved quickly, replaced with a bright smile as he saw the blue orbs underneath the cap. Castiel returned the smile and quickly ran towards him.

"Hi." Castiel said breathlessly with a smile when he reached the older man.

"Hi." Dean replied brightly, barely containing his excitement and glee, as he removed the sunglasses he was wearing. He looked down at the center of Castiel's shirt, where the shield was painted and the written 'Capsicle' below it and looked back up to look at Castiel in the eye and raised an eyebrow and smirked.

"Shut up." Castiel mumbled and looked at the ground, fighting a smile and the blush creeping up on his pale cheeks.

Dean shrugged and said, "Hey, I'm an Iron Man fan. And I think he and Cap are fucking each other behind the Avengers' back." He winked when the younger man gaped at him then put his sunglasses back on.

When Castiel finally found his words again, he blinked once, twice, thrice, and said, "That is exactly what Gabriel said when we watched the movie."

"Looks like me and your cousin could get along." Dean replied with a smirk which made Castiel roll his eyes but the younger man kept his mouth shut.

They walked the short distance to Dean's car which was a 1967 Chevy Impala. Once they reached the car, Dean beamed widely and turned to face the younger man, leaned back against his car and patted its roof then said, "Mr. Novak, meet my baby, baby, meet Castiel." Once again, the younger man rolled his eyes but there was a smile on his face.

"She's beautiful." Castiel whispered as he gently ran his fingers on the Impala's hood. There was something resembling to fondness and somehow, recognition in his eyes. "My father and I used to tinker with cars. He told me that a '67 Impala is the best car alive." He continued with a soft smile without removing his gaze from where his fingers touched the car. Dean couldn't help but feel the fondness as he watched the younger man.

"My dad thinks so, too." Dean said in a soft voice, making Castiel smile at him. "Anyway," Dean started after a few moments of silence. "I'll make sure you enjoy yourself, Juliet." Dean waggled his eyebrows, making Castiel crack a small, shy smile.

"You can drop the act, you know?" Castiel said as Dean opened the passenger's side door for him. Dean snorted as he closed the door. Castiel simply rolled his eyes with a fond smile.

"Now where would be the fun in that?" Dean said with a smirk as he got into the driver's side and put his seatbelt on. He started the car and hoped everything would go well.

0===0.

Dean decided that a picnic would make a good first date. Shut up, it's a date to Dean, even if Castiel didn't know it. Yet.

"Where are we going?" Castiel finally asked after a half hour drive. Dean smiled softly, picturing a clearing in the forest that he and Sam found about eight years ago, remembering how the little clearing looked and how it was close to a stream. It had various flowers and soft grasses everywhere. The trees embraced the clearing beautifully, as if the forest itself made way for that clearing, making sure that the trees wouldn't cover it. The sun shone like a spotlight, highlighting everything beautiful in the clearing He and Sam used to go there whenever they can before he flew to Germany. They even used to camp at least once a month, back then.

"You'll find out soon enough." Dean said with a soft smile. Castiel stared at him in awe, making him self-conscious. He cleared his throat as he felt the flush crawl on his skin, and cleared his throat. "What?" He asked gruffly. When he glanced at Castiel, the younger man had a soft smile on his face.

"That's the first real smile you've given me." Castiel started softly. "There's no smugness to it or anything else. It's just plain Dean Winchester." Castiel had a soft smile himself, and Dean can't help but feel his heart race. There was something about the younger man that just pulled him in, making him feel things he really didn't understand. It was amazing yet so disconcerting. There was something about Castiel that made him want to trust the younger man with everything despite the fact the he only trusted those who were closest to him, those he has known for a very long time now.

"Well," Dean started gruffly then cleared his throat, "consider yourself lucky." He can feel Castiel's amusement from where he was sitting.

"Okay then. I consider myself lucky that the great Dean Winchester shows true emotions in front of me." Dean could sense the humor in the younger man's tone and he can't help but felt quite giddy. It was surprisingly easy to talk with the younger man. He thought it would be awkward since their fathers basically hated each other and they had just met the night before. It was refreshing, if he was being honest, to be with someone who would just click with him, someone who didn't have an ulterior motive for hanging out with him.

"Seriously, though. Where are we going?" Castiel asked once more, his curiosity was now evident. Dean simply smiled at him with a soft, "Trust me?" then looked back on the road. Castiel mumbled a soft okay at that but he can still feel the younger man's curious gaze on him.

Their travel took around forty to forty five minutes. In that span of time, they have learned so much about each other; their favorite colors (sky blue for Dean, blood red for Castiel), favorite foods (pie for Dean and burgers for Castiel), their dreams/goals (to create a car that could levitate for Dean, a phone that turns into a small necklace for Castiel), their fears, (flying for Dean, losing his dad for Castiel). Castiel has been teasing him nonstop when Dean admitted that he was afraid of flying.

How could you have flown to another country without passing out?

Shut up.

Seriously, Dean—

*glare*

*giggles*

That was pretty much how their drive was spent. When they got into the forest, Dean took the path they had made back then, glad that no one has discovered the clearing yet. Or so he hoped.

When they got to the clearing, he heard Castiel gasp softly. It was still as beautiful as he remembered. The grasses were taller and there were more flowers, but it basically looked the same. As he turned the engine off, he could hear the soft chirping of birds and the soft flow of water of the stream nearby.

"We're here." Dean said as he turned to look at Castiel. The younger man has a look of awe on his face, like he couldn't believe something so beautiful existed. Dean smiled softly as he watched the younger man.

"This is beautiful." Castiel said in a hushed tone and slowly turned his head to look at Dean. There was something in the younger man's eyes that Dean couldn't figure out yet. He simply smiled and leaned closer to Castiel, catching the younger man's lips with his, without much thought.

He pulled back a little and opened his eyes when he realized he has closed them in the first place. "Is this okay?" Dean asked against Castiel's lips. The younger man's eyes were wide as they stared back at Dean's green ones. He captured Castiel's lips in another soft kiss before pulling back completely and smiling widely and said, "Let's go get the stuff we need" then got out of the car to retrieve the blanket, the cooler and the picnic basket from the trunk. Castiel followed soon after and helped Dean set up.

When they were done putting the blanket and taking the food out of the basket and neatly placing them on the blanket, the two men sat side by side and started eating. There were various fruits, some sandwiches, salads, and of course, Dean's favorite, some pie.

They talked more as they ate. Dean talked about his time in Germany and in Japan while Castiel talked about how he would miss being in a normal school, having people not know who he actually was. He talked about his closest friends at school, Balthazar and Ezekiel. Soon enough, their conversation went to their families, how they both missed their moms and how much they wonder where their fathers' dislike of each other came from. At one point, Castiel has settled in front of Dean, his side and a part of his back flushed against Dean's chest, bracketed by the older man's legs. Dean found that he liked the feeling of Castiel pressed against him.

Dean has been running his nose, and occasionally his mouth, by Castiel's cheek and neck, softly kissing whatever part of Castiel he could touch with his eyes closed, as they talked. Occasionally, Castiel would sigh softly while his head was tilted to one side, giving the older man better access. Dean was content to be where they were at the moment.

When the silence has stretched for quite a while, with then kissing Castiel's neck softly and the younger man sighing and humming softly, Dean decided he wanted to taste Castiel's lips once more. Like their kiss earlier and the night before, it was soft and sweet and tentative. Then, Dean ran his tongue along Castiel's lips, making the younger man open his lips unconsciously. Dean explored Castiel's mouth with his tongue, tasting the younger man and moaning at his taste. Castiel seemed to like what Dean was doing so he pulled the younger man closer as he devoured his mouth.

When they finally pulled apart for air, they were both breathless and Castiel has a dreamy look on his face. Dean felt high and seemingly drunk from a simple kiss. The younger man raised his sky blue eyes to meet Dean's forest green ones. He raised both arms to wrap around Dean's neck as he slowly slid out of Dean's embrace and down the blanket, pulling the older man with him. Dean followed the younger man and was soon enough on top of him. Before Castiel's back even reached the blanket, Dean's mouth was on his, exploring once more. Right at that moment, everything was perfect.
