Next day, 9:30 am.
I was sitting on the couch with tails, and Cosmo, watching Trading Places, having a good time, sharing a few laughs here and there, until I heard a knock on the door. "ill get it!" I told tails and Cosmo as I got up to go answer. I opened the door and I saw a human, with white pale skin, dark hair, wearing black shades, in a police officers uniform. It said "Officer Merk" on his badge. His squad car was in the street, it was a black and white one with "WPD" on the side. I can hear Cypress Hill's song Insane in the Membrane, playing. "can I help you officer?" I said to him.
"yes I am looking for a jewel thief that I have a lead on, and I saw his foot prints down the street, but they ended there."
He was looking for me. FRACK, but if I kept calm I can get away. I'm a horrible liar when it comes to white lies, but with big lies, I AM LIKE A STONE, I can look you in the eyes and tell you a lie right there and not even change my facial expression.
"well officer, how does this involve me?"
He got angry. "BECAUSE, his TRACKS ended DOWN YOUR STREET."
"well I didn't see anything." I said to him unfazed.
"Let me see your shoes."
"huh?"
"LET ME SEE YOUR #% DAMN SHOES!" he shouted at me.
Cosmo and tails now looked over here with curious expressions on their faces. I lifted up my shoes to officer merk and he inspected them.
"these look a lot like the ones that left the prints in the dirt over there."
"well sir, a lot of people wear these shoes, it what the kids wear."
He then leaned in and said, "I'm watching you boy."
Boy!?
"Who you calling boy, PIG!"
He then put his gun at his side and said.
"look kid, I don't like your kind, they are all just sorry excuses for dogs, if I could I would put you down right now."
He then walked to his car and the song got louder. I then shouted to him.
"HEY OFFICER!?"
"WHAT!?"
"Listening to that music isn't going to make you any blacker."
He then gave me the "I'm watching you" motion with his fingers.
Officer Merk's Pov
That little shit, I'm going to watch him, I know he stole those jewels. His shoes match the foot prints. Now that I think of it, he is that runaway kid from Delano. How the fuck did he get here so fast? Ill get him when the time is right.
Marshall's Pov
Dang cop.
"what was that Marshall?" asked tails.
"just some cop harassing me, thinking I'm the one who stole the jewels." I said to him.
"yeah it was probably rouge who did it." said Cosmo as we laughed.
