Chapter 25

Time Flies, but so do I.

December,24th 2:42 pm.

Looking outward from atop the G.U.N building, I looked down to see all the citizens in their Christmas clothes. I saw people wearing sweaters, those Santas that stand on the corners with the bells and buckets, and last minute shoppers. I wore a green and red jacket, green snow pants, and a dark green ushanka. I took a pair of goggles out of my pocket and put them on. I shrugged off the snow that was on me and I looked down again.

I twirled my tail a bit to defrost it. I then hovered off the building and into an alley that was just below. I stopped rotating and walked into the sidewalk. I took a present out of my sweater and looked at it to see if it was undamaged. I looked around the wrapping and it was ok.

I then looked at the tag, just looking at it made me blush.

To: Amy

From: Marshall

I walked until I reached Amy's apartment. The door was unlocked because it was Christmas and the guards didn't want to be bothered to check on every person that came through. I took the elevator and went to Amy's floor.

I went to her apartment room and knocked.

I hid the present behind my back waiting for her to answer the door.

She answered the door and said "merry Christmas, Marshall!"

"Merry Christmas, Amy," I said to her with a smile.

She had on a green sweater, blue jeans with visible leg warmers, red boots, and pink ear muffs.

"Do you like my outfit for the party?" she asked me.

"I like it." I said blushing.

I walked into her house and it was decorated very nicely. It had a tree fully decorated, leaves on the drapes and windows, and a little Christmas tree on the coffee table.

"how did you decorate your apartment?" I asked her.

"Blaze and cream helped me." She said with a smile.

"Oh before I forget I got your present a little early." I said as I slowly revealed it.

"what is it?"

"open it." I said

She got it from my hands and took off the wrapping paper and her green eyes went big when she saw it. She pulled it out of the box, it was a brown fur coat, $10,000. Most expensive thing I ever bought for someone.

"Do you like it?"

"Like it, I LOVE IT!" she said as she gave me a huge hug.

She then took off her jacket, revealing a red sweatshirt, and put on the fur coat.

"Perfect size." She said.

"you can take it too the party today." I said to her.

She then gave me another hug even tighter.

"what time does the party start?" she whispered into my ear.

"8 o'clock." I said to her.

"I'll be there." She said.

7:45 Tails and Marshalls House.

"Is everything set up?" asked Tails.

"yup." I replied to him.

The house was all decorated, there was lights on the door way, and on the windows, the tree was up and fully decorated. Even the TV was decorated, don't ask. Tails put a mistletoe in the elevator and in the kitchen. I'll be sure to avoid those. The tree didn't have any gifts under it. The reason because they want this Christmas to be about friendship and family, not gifts. No one knows that I gave a gift to Amy.

I heard a knock on the door. I went to answer it and it was Cosmo.

"hey babe," said tails

"hi honey," said Cosmo.

Cosmo then went to tails and gave him a big kiss.

"I hope that isn't the only thing your going to give me tonight." Said tails.

I just rolled my eyes, love birds.

I'm not surprised that she is the first one here, she helped decorate anyway.

1 hour later.

"You guys enjoying the party?" I asked Knuckles and rouge.

"Yeah," they bother said in unison, as they drank eggnog.

Everyone was here, although sonic brought someone with I'm. it was a female squirrel by the name of "Sally". She was probably another one of Sonic's girls that he always "Hits it then quit it." I talked to her a bit and she is pretty nice.

Everyone wore x-mas clothing. Ranging from bad sweaters, to simple ones with red and green on it. I wore a green shirt with "X-mas" on it in red. The shirt barely covered my tattoo, the only people who knew about it were the guys, except for jet, and shadow. I had to stretch my shirt a bit so it can cover it.

"Merry X-mas, Mr. Marshall." Said cream.

"merry X-mas cream." I said to her with a smile.

I looked up and saw vanilla standing behind her.

"oh Merry Christmas, vanilla". I said to her. We haven't talked to each other as much since that one night she tried to hit on me.

"Merry Christmas Marshall, um can I speak to you in private?" said vanilla.

We went to the kitchen, I leaned on the counter then she said,

"Look about what happened a few months ago, I'm sorry about it."

"Look its water under the bridge, you had a few too many, I understand that." I said to her.

"ok but as a way to say sorry I thought I would give you this." She then gave me a small tube in wrapping.

I opened it and I nearly fainted at the sight of it.

It was a 8 Mile poster with Eminems signature.

In complete lost for words I said, "how did you… get this?"

"he did a interview here at the news station a few weeks ago and I decided to meet him and get him to sign that poster for you."

"but how did you know I always wanted this."

"someone told me you were always a fan of him." She then darted her eyes to Tails, who was on the couch with Cosmo and sonic with Sally.

"thank you." I said to her.

"I'm going to put this in my room real quick before it gets damaged." I said to her as I ran to the elevator.

Looking up I remembered the mistletoe, I quickly went to the side of the elevator and waited to go to my room. When the door opened again I dashed to my room and put the poster on my bed. I then quickly got back down stairs to the party.

10:40 pm

The party was still going and everyone was here, except for cream and vanilla, they left about 20 minutes ago. I looked around and saw shadow In outside by pool. I went out there to talk him.

"hey shadow why aren't you inside with the rest of us?" I said to him.

"I don't see the need for the party." He said while staring at the sky.

"come on man, just come inside with us. Aren't you cold?"

"no."

"if you come inside I'll tell you Sonic's fear."

His ears picked up, I know him and sonic are rivals, this would be good too him. Besides everyone else teases sonic about his fear to water.

"tell me and I'll come inside." He said to me.

"He is an Aquaphobic." I said with a smile on my face.

"thank you for telling me, ok ill come inside now." He said with a smile. I never saw him smile before.

We walked inside but no one paid attention to us. Everyone kept on talking.

11:53 pm

The last one to leave was knuckles and rouge, they walked out like a couple, holding hands while walking out. The only one to stay was Cosmo. Cosmo went to the restroom then tails pulled me to him.

"Marshall, I got your Christmas present in your room. I think you'll like it." He said to me.

Something about the way he said that made me feel… happy, I don't know, I was excited about the gift.

I went to my room and put away my clothes. I looked on my counter and there was a brown cardboard box on it. It said "Marshall's Gift" on it in a sticky pad. I got the box and sat on the bed. I put it on my lap and opened the box.

I felt… well let's put it this way

My slinky goes doing doing doing.

It was a magazine that said "Vixens monthly, XXX-Mas Edition". It had a picture of a nearly naked female fox laying in front of a Christmas tree on the cover.

"Thank you!" I thought.
