Chapter 39
Living Truth.
Later that night…
Amy's POV
Me and Marshall just got back from the morgue, and at his house. He didn't talk much on the way back home. He still had tears coming down his eyes. I was lying in bed next to him. He wanted to sleep, but I wanted to try to make him feel better.
"its ok Marshall, Truth is in a better place." I told him as I cuddled against his back.
"I know, but I haven't seen him in so long, the one chance I do see him, and next he is dead."
" you still have us." I said to him.
"I know, look can I just sleep I'm tired after today." He told me as he got under the covers.
I was tired too I got under the covers with him and cuddled against him. I just want him to be happy.
Marshall's Dream
Marshall's POV
I walked on a fluffly clouds. Every time I stepped, I sunk a little against them. I looked around and I was in the sky.
I heard a familiar voice, "Hello Marshall."
I looked behind and it was Truth. He wore a white robe, had wings, and a halo on his head. It was above his white bucket hat.
"truth, I already miss you." I said to him with tears in my eyes.
"I know you do. But I want you to know, I felt no pain."
"I hope you didn't."
" look I heard what you said in the lobby, and I know who did it."
"WHO?!" I yelled when he said it.
"just look at this picture."
I looked at it and it was Officer Merk.
"This guy. Man he always had it in for me. He even threatened to kill me."
"look on the back Marshall, it has his address and phone number. Memorize it."
"I will get this done, for you Truth."
I walked away then he said. "Marshall!"
"what?"
"remember, I will always be your guardian angel. Never forget it."
I started crying a bit.
"look before you wake up, why don't we look at some of the good times we had." He said as he came to me.
"sure, I will always treasure those moments."
