The sunlight sliced through the window and lit the kitchen as Ash is enjoying his tea after helping feed the pokemon for Professor Cerise until…

"I need your help," Bea announced, barging into the kitchen like a hurricane. Ash jumped at her sudden appearance.

"What? What's up?" he asked worriedly.

Bea looked around nervously.

"Well," she said hesitantly.

"I'm having a small problem."

"A small problem?" he repeated sceptically.

Bea still couldn't open up as she began playing with her fingers.

"I've never seen you like this. Is the world ending? Did you kidnap the real Bea?"

Bea grew a red mark on her head as she smacked Ash on his shoulder.

"Ouch! Okay, what's wrong?"

She sighed.

"So will you be going to the Pokemon League Night next week?"

"What is that?"

"It's an event held for high ranked trainers and League personnel like us," Bea answered.

"Nope, why?"

Bea innerly fist-pumped, before continuing

"You would need to bring a dance partner, and you know that no boys would like to invite me. So... What if I asked you?"

"Me? dancing?" Ash stared back at her in disbelief. Bea nodded nervously.

He thought for a moment.

"You know, this might end up horribly. But you should think this through more carefully though, are you sure I'm suitable for this?"

Bea pouted.

"Don't be ridiculous, I wouldn't have asked you if I didn't believe that you were perfect for this. I'd never have done this if not for that," she gestured to Ash.

He blushed slightly. He never knew Bea thought of him this way.

It made him feel warm inside.

"Okay okay, let's figure this out," Ash said.

"We're going to do this."

Ash grinned widely.

"Sounds good to me," he replied.

Bea smiled. She hugged Ash tightly before rushing off. Leaving him stunned and blushing.

Ash watched her go with a fond smile. He felt better than he had all day.

A week quickly went by as the day for the event arrived.

Reaching the hotel, Ash entered with the invitation card given to him by Bea, surprising the recipient a little. 'Why would the Alolan Champion need an invitation card from a gym leader?'

Ash was escorted to one of the main rooms where a dance floor had been cleared away, waiting for their arrival. The guests milled around chatting while Ash took it all in; there were so many people here. He saw Bea walking around, greeting people. It looked as if she was trying to keep herself busy until Ash arrived. As soon as he saw her, he blushed like a lightbulb.

Bea was beautiful. She wore a simple white dress that hugged her body perfectly. Her hairband was replaced with one that resembled a flower.

She turned to see who it was that was staring at her and returned a similar blush seeing Ash in a tuxedo, and waved before trying to walk towards him.

Suddenly, Charles Goodshow(President of the League Competition Committee) went and took Ash away.

"Ah, Champion Ash!" Charles called.

"Hey, Mr Goodshow. How can I help you?" Ash answered, his eyes never leaving Bea.

"You see young man, we've been looking forward to seeing you here in person again! You have such talent and potential. I and the champions would like to talk with you.

"I'm flattered sir, but please, call me Ash."

"Emm," Ash tried to find a reason to refuse, but seemingly a Meowth got his tongue.

"Come on, they missed you a lot!" as he dragged Ash to the champion's lounge.

Ash only saw Bea walk away, disappearing in the sea of people, leaving him rather depressed.

Bea was sad of course, but she quickly hid it with her usual hardened expression. Although, she was even more surprised that Ash was a champion.

'He never told me that,' she thought, confused. 'I guess he doesn't want to brag about himself in front of other people…'

Hours passed, and the event eventually came to an end. Ash never returned, leaving Bea sitting at a table all alone.

Preparing to leave, she walked along the corridor, before she ran into someone.

"Oh sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going," she apologized, bowing her head apologetically.

"Bea! I was looking for you! I'm so sorry!" The person revealed to be Ash, apologized back.

"Where were you?" Bea tried to keep herself calm, yet her eyes and tone were dripping with sadness.

"I-" Ash seeing Bea in such a state, felt a pang in his heart and found himself speechless.

"Well, I guess that's for today… I don't like dancing anyway," Bea turned around and tried to leave.

"Wait!"

Ash held her hand, stopping her.

"Wha-" She couldn't finish as Ash dragged her while running to who knows where.

The next thing she knows, they are standing outside the hotel, looking at each other intently.

Breathing heavily, Ash stared at her.

Under the twilight, Bea was shining brighter in his eyes.

"Would you like to dance?" He asked in a low voice, his gaze intense.

Bea was slightly taken aback.

"Huh?"

"I saw your eyes, they were sad. I want you to be happy. So, would you like to dance with me?"

"Yes! Yes, thank you!" Bea exclaimed happily. She wrapped her arms around Ash's neck before he lifted her off the ground.

In a matter of seconds, he swung her around like a ballerina before setting her down.

As he pulled away, both were blushing before Ash took out his phone and played a romantic track.

Ash offered his hand.

Looking at his hand, Bea slowly grabbed onto it, allowing him to pull her close.

His face inches away from hers, he could smell the scent of her perfume.

He put his arm around her waist, pulling her closer to him.

They swayed slowly to the music in silence, their bodies entwined Bea closed her eyes, feeling his touch, his skin. She never wanted him to let go.

Ash gazed lovingly at her, smiling as she leaned into him, resting her head on his shoulder while a gentle breeze blew past them.

As time ticked away, his hands wandered across her body, exploring every curve as she did the same to him. The song ended, but Bea had one more thing to say.

"I love you," Bea confessed.

Ash didn't answer in words, but a kiss that spoke more than words could anyways.

"So, we're are boyfriend and girlfriend now?

"Yeah…"

"Let's get you home" Ash held her hand, their fingers intertwined.

A few hours later, they arrived at Bea's house.

Preparing to leave, Bea took Ash's hand to prevent him from doing so.

"It's late already… You can stay here for the night," Bea said shyly.

"Are you sure?" Ash asked, a little surprised.

"Mhmm"

"Alright then, I'll stay." Bea opened the door and they entered.

Her house was modest but cosy. Several photos and paintings were hanging on the walls and her furniture was nice and simple.

Hanging his suit jacket, Ash sat on the couch as Bea moved into her bedroom, coming back out with some clothes.

"Here, take this. You must be tired after that dance," she handed him a pair of pyjama pants and an oversized t-shirt.

"Thanks," he replied.

He decided to change on the spot, taking off his white shirt and revealing his rather impressive physique acquired through his years of travelling.

Bea looked at him with wide eyes for a second before turning away, her cheeks red, but Ash could tell that she liked it.

Ash couldn't resist teasing her a little bit further.

"Is something wrong? Do you like what you're seeing?" Ash turned her around to face him.

Bea glared at him before crossing her arms over her chest, not giving him a response.

"I'm sorry." Ash leaned forwards and kissed her forehead.

"Hmm, okay, I'm gonna go change too," Bea said before heading into her bedroom.

Ash changed and was now lying on the sofa watching TV when Bea came out and curled up beside him.

He turned to face her, smiling softly before wrapping his arm around her shoulders.

They cuddled while watching a comedy movie and enjoying the sweets Bea took out.

"You ready for bed?" He asked when he heard a soft snore coming from the girl laying next to him. It caused him to chuckle a little as he carried her inside.

He laid her down on the bed first, before getting in himself. Wrapping the blanket around the both of them, Bea cuddled against him, snuggling her face near his chest like it was a teddy bear and inhaling his scent.

This made him smile. He loved every part of her. He wanted to hold her tight like this forever.

"Goodnight, my beloved," as he too drifted into dreamland.
