Hero; a career that has been a possibility for years since the emergence of quirks, grimoires, and pokemon. Quirk; a superpower eighty percent of the world has. Grimoire; a tome of magic that chooses a welder based on their magic power. Pokemon; creatures with strange powers and the ability to evolve, trainers catch pokemon and use them in their everyday lives. Magic; an energy inside of every living being, that is, except one. You've heard stories of pokemon masters defeating all they face, great heroes born with extraordinary powers, wizards whose magic is unmatched. This is the story of a boy who had nothing and through hard work and an ancient technique became not the hero the world deserved, but the one they needed.

Origins

"This boy is an anomaly," a nun said, holding a baby.

"No magic power, no quirk factor, practically powerless," another one said, looking at him.

"Should we even keep him?" another one asked.

"The lord protects all life, this boy is no different. I will look after him myself if needed," the nun holding the baby said.

"Let me see him," an elderly priest said, standing up. He then activated his quirk, future sight, which allowed him to see the general future of a person. "Hmm, I shall allow you to raise him in an extra house on the church grounds."

"What did you see, father Ganake?" the nun holding the baby asked.

"His future is clouded. He will either be the greatest hero there is and make society greater, or a villain so terrible that society will fall and the world will be doomed," the priest said. "Sister Kaina, take good care of the boy and make sure he doesn't fall to evil as you almost did," he added.

"I'll make sure of that," the woman said, remembering her past as a hero.

"The church will supply you with all you shall need to raise him, good luck, and may god bless you and the child," Father Ganake said. "When he gets older he will assist you in caring for the pokemon as well."

"Thank you father, I will make sure that this child will be in the lord's light," Kaina said, looking at the child with a tuft of green hair on the top of his head. "What is his name?"

"Hmm, the note gave no name so we shall name him Izuku," the priest said.

-Four Years Later-

"Now children, it is time for you to gain your first pokemon," Father Ganake said, standing in front of a group of orphans the church watches over. "For this we have asked professor Sakura to come here," he said, stepping to the side as a woman with light skin and pink hair stepped forward.

"Hi, I'm professor Sakura and I work with pokemon and study them. I'm here to offer each of you a pokemon that the church has actually raised. So go find a pokemon you like and if you have any questions just ask me," she said.

"Yay!" most of the kids yelled, charging into the field of pokemon to find which one they wanted.

One kid stayed back. He had fluffy green hair and diamond shaped freckles on his cheeks.

"Hey, why don't you go get a pokemon," the professor asked, walking up to him.

"I don't know which one to get," the boy said.

"Well, what's your quirk?" she asked.

"I-I don't have one," he said, looking down.

"Ah, well, I would recommend going to that blue one and seeing if it'll be your partner," she said, pointing at a blue pokemon standing with its arms crossed and eyes closed. "It's called Riolu."

"Alright," the boy said, walking up to the pokemon. "Hello, I'm Izuku. Do you want to be my partner Riolu?"

"Rah!" Riolu said, looking at the boy roughly the same height.

"Hah, look. The quirkless Deku can't even get a useless pokemon like Riolu," a boy said, looking at the interaction.

"Rah!" the pokemon yelled, looking at the boy and stepping in front of the green haired boy.

"Huh, does this mean you'll be my partner?" Izuku asked.

"Rah!" Riolu said, looking at the boy and nodding.

"Why would a pokemon even want to be with the useless wonder?" another kid asked.

"Alright, once you have your partner come to me and I'll give you a pokeball to catch them," Professor Sakura said, taking a pokeball out of a bag filled with them to show it to the kids.

Once all the kids had their pokemon in pokeballs the professor left and the kids started playing with their pokemon. Izuku made his way to the house where he stayed with Sister Kaina.

"Sister Kaina, I'm back and I got a pokemon!" he announced, walking in.

"Hello Izuku. What pokemon did you get?" Kaina asked, walking out of the kitchen.

"Riolu, come on out!" Izuku said, throwing the pokeball up allowing his pokemon to emerge.

"Rah!" Riolu said, looking around.

"Ah, a Riolu. I'd say he's a good pokemon for you," she said, looking at the blue emanation pokemon. "So, since you decided on a pokemon have you decided what you want to be when you get older?"

"I want to be a hero!" Izuku said.

"Oh, you want to be a hero," Kaina asked. "You want to be a quirkless and magicless hero. It'll be difficult. How about you and Riolu start doing some light training now to start getting your bodies ready for when you can start to actually train without damaging your body?"

"What do you mean?" Izuku asked, looking at her confused.

"When you turn eight you can start working on your strength, but before that you have to be ready by running around and playing. So why don't the two of you go play while I work on dinner?"

"Ok, let's go Riolu!" Izuku said, running out of the house with Riolu on his tail.

The two of them ran around the house chasing the other before both collapsed out of exhaustion. For the next six years the two of them constantly worked their bodies to the limit that they could.

-Six Years Later-

"Now, you will receive your grimoires today. Remember, the grimoire chooses the user and while we might not know the reason it is because God willed it," Father Ganake said. "When your name is called, step forward and call your grimoire to you." He started calling names and kids went into the library and came out holding their new books. Once he got to the end of the list he looked at the name and sighed. "Now then, you must study the magic in your grimoires but most importantly be careful and don't do harm to others with them."

All the kids ran off while the one whose name wasn't called just stood there next to his Riolu. He looked down and held back his tears.

"Izuku, come with me," Father Ganake said, walking up to the boy. "There is a reason that I didn't call your name. I wanted to go in with you and I want you to try to call a grimoire to you," he said, leading the boy into the library of grimoires in the church. "Reach out with your mind and see if something calls to you. Riolu, please stay next to him and do as he does," the priest said, watching the two closely.

Izuku and Riolu closed their eyes and in sync lifted their right arms out. They then walked forward to an empty wall and when their hands made contact they pushed the moons in the wood in. They opened their eyes as the wall moved, revealing a hidden staircase.

"Um, where does this lead to Father Ganake?" Izuku asked.

"Rah," Riolu agreed.

"Hmm, that is a good question. Izuku, Riolu, go down and see what you retrieve," Father Ganake said, stroking his short grey beard.

The two looked at each other before walking down the stairs. The staircase curved to a small chamber with a single grimoire on a pedestal. It was black and on the front was a five leaf clover. Izuku reached out and it floated to him. Izuku grabbed hold of the book and a small smile appeared on his face.

"Riolu, I have a grimoire," he said, looking up.

"Rah!" Riolu cheered as the two walked up the stairs.

"Father Ganake, I have a grimoire!" Izuku yelled, walking up to the priest and showing it to him.

"Wonderful Izuku, now go train on whatever is in there," he said.

"I will, let's go Riolu!" Izuku said, going to the door.

"Oh, and Izuku. Don't forget to grab your extra pokeballs. You can catch more pokemon now," the elderly man said.

"I won't, thank you Father Ganake," Izuku said, running out to the woods with Riolu in tow.

"A five leaf clover, faith, hope, love, luck, and in the fifth is the devil," Father Ganake muttered. "This boy will be something else."

"I agree, we might feign ignorance but we both know who his mother is," Sister Kaina said, walking in.

"Nana was a great woman, she was also a smart mother leaving her child here before going on her suicide mission. Sister Kaina, if I am correct, the Hashira still lives in the woods right?"

"Yes, why?"

"I know that grimoire, there are legends about it, and the blades it holds. I think it might be time for him to pass his knowledge to a protege, and young Shimura will be the perfect student for him," Father Ganake said.

"I'll see what Tanjiro can do," Sister Kaina said, looking out at the large mountain behind the church and the woods Izuku is going to train in.

AN-

I've been rereading a lot of Black Clover and Demon Slayer as well as watching Pokemon: Indigo League with my little sisters to get them into it and for some reason my mind was like, What if we fused the three of these with My Hero Academia? And a week later I have this and a document filled with information on characters and a lot of other things. I'm not sure how this will turn out but wish me luck!
