Chapter 6 - It's not all Black and White
/|\
It's been 2 days since Blake and TJ have been hiding in the warehouse and during the time, TJ had remodeled the place.
The arcade machines have been dusted and refurbished, the four beds have been cleaned and rearranged to be stacked on top of each other in a bunk bed fashion, the bean bag chairs have been sewed up, and the desks have been cleaned and cleared up. Not to mention he bought more furniture.
And since there was still tons of room in the warehouse, TJ decided to build a couple of ramps for skateboarding, buy a flatscreen TV with tons of channels, and build an area where vehicles could be worked on.
And don't get me started on him building a well-working bathroom with a nice shower, bathtub, and toilet.
"Welp, this place is turning out great." TJ admired the warehouse he worked on.
"Yep." Blake said as she sat on the couch reading one of her books. Yesterday, TJ went out and bought a few books for Blake.
TJ had grabbed the remote from the coffee table in front of the couch and turned on the TV. He watched a bit before hearing a knock at the front door, causing him to get up and turn off the TV.
"I'll get it." TJ walked up to the door and looked through the peephole, seeing Sun Wukong at the front. TJ then opened the door. "Sun? What are you doing here?" TJ asked.
"I've been hanging around Vale and since I was in the neighborhood, I thought I'd come and visit you guys." Sun answered.
"You've been spying on us and wanted to see what we're doing huh?" TJ deadpanned at the money Faunus.
"Yep." Sun admitted, his shoulders slumped. He then returned to his normal attitude like a switch was flipped. "So can I come in?" He asked.
TJ looked behind his shoulder to see the cold gaze of Blake, indicating that she didn't want visitors. "Sorry, but it's members only. Guess the password and you can come in. You get 3 guesses and your hint is fruit." TJ lied.
"Is it banana?" Sun asked hopefully.
"Nope. Guess something that isn't banana." TJ told him.
He then closed the door and walked away. Sun knocked on the door 1 hour later and said, "Is the secret code, dragonfruit?" Sun asked from behind the door.
TJ sighed and opened the door. "It is. Come in." TJ said, opening the door and letting the monkey Faunus inside.
Sun looked around the warehouse. "Woah, this place is cool!" He exclaimed.
"Why is he here!?" Blake quietly hissed.
"Sun guessed the password and I let him in. I had to, it's the rules." TJ answered.
"There were no rules!" Blake revealed, shocking Sun.
"You mean I spent one hour thinking of the secret password for nothing!?" Sun gasped, feeling a bit betrayed.
"Whatever. You're in here now. Happy?" TJ sat down on the couch next to Blake. He turned on the television and flipped through several channels.
"That's it?" Sun blinked. "I thought some cool activities were going on here. Conspiracy planning on suspicious arcades and pizza joints! All that cool stuff and you're just gonna watch television?
"Yep." TJ popped the 'P' sound. Blake shifted uncomfortably, not expecting the company at all.
"That's no fun! As a new member of the Warehouse Club, I say we go out and get some breakfast!" Sun declared. Their response came in the form of silence.
"Get up! C'mon! Let's go!" Sun went to go pull Blake up, but one mean glare caused him to back up. He did the same with TJ, but Wilfred sucker punched him and sent him flying to the wall where he got stuck to it.
"Good boy." TJ complimented the Beowolf puppy. He then looked at Blake. "Sun does have a good point, Blake. We should go get breakfast." He then turned off the television and got off the couch.
"Fine." Blake sighed as she also got off the couch and made her way out the door.
"Sun! Get your butt out here! We're getting breakfast!" TJ called out to Sun. Sun unstuck himself from the wall and made his way to the duo.
"I thought it would just be the two of us." Blake said as the three of them walked. Sun chuckled awkwardly, feeling left out.
"We're the Warehouse Club! We go as a squad!" TJ and Sun high fived each other. "Plus, it's been a while since we spoke and I felt guilty for tricking him," He told her.
"Next time, tell me in advance." TJ looked at Sun with an apologetic look on his face as they both stopped.
"Don't worry. Blake's usually like this with new people. It'll take a while for her to warm up to you. I'm not sure if she's warmed up to anyone other than me and a few people.
Sun adjusted his collar. "Well then I'll be the first one outside your inner circle." He said, smiling confidently as the two of them chased after Blake.
Water, Fire, Yang, and Ruby were all dressed up for the day. Right now, Fire was in front of them with a whiteboard behind him.
"Alright, here's what we'll do. We'll head into Vale to begin searching for TJ and Blake and just hope that we'll be lucky." Fire said, pointing at parts of his plan on the whiteboard with a ruler. "Sounds good?" He asked the three of them.
The three of them gave Fire their own agreements.
"This will be the start of my plan to fix everything!" Fire announced, wanting to fix the problems his friends had. Ice is still mad, his brother and friend are gone, and Weiss was moping around.
Speaking of Weiss, she was laying on her bed with a box of tissues beside her. Her eyes were red, from the crying and staying up all night. She was buried deep inside her blanket, leaving only her face exposed.
"By the way, what should we do about Weiss?" Water asked. The four of them glanced at Weiss, still in her depressed state.
"I think Ice broke her. She won't even listen to me. Here watch." Ruby said.
Ruby pulled out her whistle and blew it in front of Weiss' face. The sound alone should've broken her eardrums. Weiss usually would've given Ruby an earful. But she continued laying there, acting as if Ruby didn't do anything.
"That is weird." Yang agreed. "I didn't think Ice's words would have hurt her this much."
"Don't worry, I'm sure they'll make up in the end." Fire hoped. "I mean, she's not that depressed. Not unless she drowns her sorrows in ice cream and- she's eating ice cream right now, isn't she?" Fire asked rhetorically.
The three of them nodded as Fire looked at Weiss, eating ice cream.
Fire rubbed his temples with two fingers. "Weiss! Get out of bed! We're going to head to class and when we're finished, we're finding our teammates." Fire ordered as he walked out the door, the other three following as the door was closed.
Weiss reluctantly got out of the bed, still dressed because she didn't even bother to change out of them. She made her way to the door and opened it only to find Ice there, his arms crossed and his facial expression frowned.
He looked at her. "Weiss. I hope you'll make things right with Blake. If you do, I could forgive you. I liked what we had and missed it a bit." He told her. "But when you do, you'll still need to make it up to me." He had a small sincere smile before leaving Weiss alone in the hallway.
TJ, Blake and Sun were now at a cafe eating breakfast as TJ and Sun were catching up on what they've been doing.
"Sun, have you ever heard of the White Fang?" Blake asked suddenly, interrupting the boys' conversation.
"Of course." He replied. "I don't think there's a Faunus alive who hasn't heard of them. Stupid, holier-than-thou-art creeps who use force to get whatever they want. A bunch of violent, selfish freaks if you ask me."
Blake calmly sipped her tea. "I was once a member of the White Fang."
That declaration made Sun widen his eyes in surprise, and made him go into a coughing fit as his tail dropped what was left of his coffee. "Hold on a minute, what!?"
Blake nodded before continuing. "That's right. I was a member for most of my life, actually. You could almost say I was born into it…"
"Back then, things were different. In the ashes of war, the White Fang was meant to be a symbol of peace and unity between Humans and the Faunus. Of course, despite being promised equality, the Faunus were subjected to discrimination and hate. Humanity still thought of us as lesser beings. And so, the White Fang rose up as a voice of our people. And I was there. I was at the front of every rally. I took part in every boycott. I actually thought we were making a difference." She scoffed at the memory. "But I was just a youthful optimist."
She took a sip of her tea before continuing. "Then, five years ago, our leader stepped down, and a new one took his place. A new leader, with a new way of thinking. Suddenly, our peaceful protests were being replaced with organized attacks. We were setting fire to shops that refused to serve us, hijacking cargo from companies that used Faunus labor. And the worst part was, it was working. We were being treated like equals. But not out of respect...out of fear."
She took a deep breath before continuing.
"So, I left. I decided I no longer wanted to use my skills to aid in their violence, and instead, I would dedicate my life to becoming a Huntress. So here I am: a criminal hiding in plain view, all with the help of a little black bow." She wiggles her ears behind the bow to demonstrate.
"So…have you told any of your friends about this?" Sun asked, coming to terms with the story.
"She did but…it didn't go well." TJ answered for Blake.
Team RW_Y, along with Fire and Water, were out in the streets of Vale, searching for their teammates.
"Blaaaake!" Ruby called out.
"TJJJJJ!" Fire also called out.
"Blaaaaaake! Where aaaare yoooouuuuuu!?" Ruby continued to call out.
"Blake! TJ!" Yang called out.
Ruby turned to her partner. "Weiss, you're not helping!" She whined.
"This would've had a better chance of working if Ice was here." Fire pointed out, upset that Ice had to help Professor Goodwitch with something instead of helping them find their friends.
Ice's reason was understandable, due to the fact that you shouldn't make Goodwitch mad.
Weiss didn't pay attention, for she was lost in her own thoughts.
During school, she realized that she needed to understand Faunus in order to apologize to Blake. So, she had hung around with Velvet as the latter showed her what Faunus had to go through as they walked to their classes. Some people were looking at them with disgust and most of them were whispering behind their backs. It made her feel uncomfortable, which was how Velvet felt too.
When she asked about the White Fang, Velvet didn't have much to say. Velvet was an innocent Faunus who hardly knew enough about the White Fang and had no interest in dealing with them at all. This made Weiss see Faunus in a new light.
She realized now that not all Faunus were automatically criminals. Not all of them supported the White Fang either. She had misjudged the whole Faunus race because of her past. If it weren't for people who discriminated against them, the White Fang wouldn't have turned into the terrorist group that caused havoc today. That included her.
She had realized that her actions were wrongful during the time she spent with Velvet. And now, she needed to find Blake in order to apologize. Then she wouldn't feel so guilty anymore.
"Fine," Weiss huffed. "Blake! TJ!"
"That's more like it." Ruby had a satisfied smile on her face. It was nice seeing Weiss up and about instead of her laying in bed all day. Whatever Velvet must have done did the trick.
"I'm starting to think that you're now guilty for your actions." Water pointed out.
"I think you should mind your own business." Weiss countered angrily.
"And I think Weiss' hair looks wonderful today!" Penny barged in, scaring the five of them. Tyler was right next to her as well, standing a bit nervously.
"Ah! Penny, where did you come from!?" Ruby shrieked.
Penny ignored her question. "Hey guys! What are you up to?" She asked them as she looked at each of them.
"Uhh…" Ruby was tongue tied, so Yang stepped in for her.
"We're looking for our friends, TJ and Blake."
Penny gasped,"Oh no! The boy with the katanas and the Faunus girl are gone!?"
Team RW_Y, Fire, and Water stared at Penny as if she grew another head.
"Wait…how did you know that?" Ruby dared to ask.
"Uhh…the cat ears." She waved her hand around her head to the general spot of Blake's cat ears.
"What cat ears?" Yang laughed awkwardly. "She wears a bo…oohhh…" The realization hit Team RW_Y like a ton of bricks.
A stray tumbleweed skidded past them as three of them took it all in.
"She does like tuna a lot…" Ruby muttered.
"So, where are they?" Penny asked.
"We don't know. They've both been missing for two days."
Penny gasped before speaking. "That's terrible! Well, don't you worry Ruby, my friend! I won't rest until we find your teammates!"
"Uh, that's really nice of you, Penny, but we're okay! Really! Right, guys?" Ruby asked her teammates.
She looks over Penny to direct her question at the others, who's blinking outlines are all that's left of their sudden departure from the company of the strange girl. Another tumbleweed blows past them again in the quiet.
"It sure is windy today!" Penny commented as another tumbleweed blew past them.
Tyler walks up to Ruby and puts his hand in front of her as he introduced himself. "Hi. Sorry I left when we met, I'm just shy around new people. I'm Tyler Teal."
Ruby smiles at him before returning the handshake. "Ruby Rose."
TJ, Blake, and Sun are then seen walking down an alley.
"So what's the plan now?" Sun asked, his hands behind his head.
"I still don't believe the White Fang is behind these robberies. They've never needed that much Dust before." Blake was busy contemplating before TJ spoke.
"But what if they did because they needed it for creating a weapon?"
This earned a curious look from Sun and a confused look from Blake.
"Hear me out. It's true the White Fang don't usually rob Dust stores but what if they need it for a project? With all the amount of Dust getting stolen recently, they could possible create a giant Dust bomb that could cause massive collateral damage and kill tons of innocent civilians." As TJ finished what he said, both Blake and Sun went wide-eyed at the damage such a weapon would cause.
"I mean...the only way to prove that they didn't do it, is to go to the place where they would most likely go to if they were to do it, and not find them there! Right?" Sun offered a suggestion.
"The only thing is, I've no idea where that would be." Blake said.
"Ditto." TJ agreed with Blake.
"Well, while I was on the ship, I heard some guys talking about offloading a huge shipment of Dust coming in from Atlas." Sun says back.
"How huge?" Blake asked.
"Huge. Big Schnee Company freighter." Sun threw his arm out wide for emphasis.
"You're sure?" Blake asked, suspicion in her voice.
"At this point, this is the only clue we got so let's go." TJ says as all three of them head towards their destination.
Amidst the chirping of crickets and darkness of night, both Blake and TJ lay flat on their stomachs on the rooftop overlooking the shipment of Schnee Dust containers.
"Did I miss anything?" Sun asked as he dropped down next to them.
"Not really. They've offloaded the crates from the boat. Now they're just sitting there." Blake commented as she continued to observe the Schnee Dust shipments.
"It's weird that no one guards all this Dust when there's tons of cases of Dust theft going on." TJ pointed out.
"That is indeed strange." Blake agreed with TJ.
"They've either got a horrible security system or the guards are bad at their jobs." TJ scoffs.
"Cool! I stole you some food!" Sun holds out one of the green apples in his arms towards both Blake and TJ.
"Do you always break the law without giving a second thought?" Blake asked as she gave Sun a questioning look.
"Hey, weren't you in a cult or something?" Sun tried to defensively counter only to receive an angry glare from the both of them. "Okay, too soon!"
Just as he says this, the wind blows all around them, and they look up to see a Bullhead's searchlights flashing around for a landing spot, descending in the middle of the cargo containers and extending a ramp for a black hooded individual with a metallic fanged mask to come out of.
"Oh no…" Blake muttered.
"Is that them?" Sun asked.
"Yes…it's them." She confirmed.
"Guess I was right…they are planning something." TJ joined in.
"All right, grab the tow cables!" A White Fang Soldier yelled to his compatriots.
"You really didn't think they were behind it, did you?" Sun asked Blake.
Blake stared sadly at the scene. "No. I think deep down I knew. I just didn't want to be right." She closes her eyes in despair, only to open them suddenly when she hears a new voice.
"Hey! What's the holdup!?" The soldiers look up at Roman Torchwick gesturing widely and coming down the ramp. "We're not exactly the most inconspicuous bunch of thieves at the moment, so why don't you animals try to pick up the pace?"
"No shit sherlock." TJ said to himself.
"This isn't right. The White Fang would never work with a Human. Especially not one like that." Blake mutters before she stands up and unsheathes the katana of Gambol Shroud before walking off the edge of the roof.
"Blake!" TJ silently yelled as he unsheathed both his Wolf Claws and followed after Blake.
"Hey, what are you two doing!?" Sun yelled with alarm in his voice.
Blake falls to the ground in a crouch, then continues on to hide behind one of the containers, peeking around the corner to see Roman berate a White Fang member holding a coil of rope. TJ hid behind the other box besides Blake and proceeded to lecture Blake.
"What were you thinking Blake!? You don't just rush in there!" TJ angrily whispered to Blake.
"I've got to do this TJ! This is my responsibility!" Blake argued back.
"I get it. I'm not saying don't do this. I'm saying don't do it alone, I prefer not seeing you dead and buried six feet under anytime soon."
Blake nodded as she began to make her move.
"No, you idiot! This isn't a leash!" As Roman's looking around, Blake suddenly appears behind him with her blade at his throat. "What the- Oh, for f-" He rolls his eyes when he's cut off by Blake mid-swear.
"Nobody move!" Blake yelled at her fellow Faunus.
The White Fang soldiers ready their guns and equip their swords in response.
"Whoa! Take it easy there, little lady."
"Back off, she's under my protection!" TJ yelled as he walked out with his wolf tail out. He then glares at Roman. "Hello, Torchwick." He greeted snarkily.
Roman widened his eyes in surprise before glaring back. "Hello, Mutt." Roman scowled.
Blake uses her free hand to go for her bow and remove it, causing the ribbon to fall away as her Faunus ears are shown to the world. She then yelled, "Brothers of the White Fang! Why are you aiding this scum?"
The White Fang members lower their weapons a little at this development, unsure of what to do, when Roman laughs.
"Oh, kid, didn't you get the memo?"
"What are you talking about?" Blake questioned the master thief.
"The White Fang and I are going in on a joint business venture together!" Roman answered.
"I always knew you were scum, but working with terrorists? That's a new low." TJ walked towards Roman and stared into his eyes.
"Tell me what it is or I'll put an end to your little operation." Blake demanded.
Suddenly, the air is filled with more turbines blowing the wind wildly around the holdup.
Roman looked up before commenting, "I wouldn't exactly call it a little operation..."
Two more Bullheads are hovering above the heist, and as Blake watches in horror, Roman smiles and manages to fire his cane at Blake's feet, resulting in a large explosion.
Blake, dazed but relatively unhurt on the ground, quickly rolls and runs out of the way of Roman's continued attacks, flaming missiles destroying cargo behind her as she flips and uses her semblance to dodge then retreats behind more containers.
"Leave her alone!" TJ shouts as he slashes his blades at Roman, who dodges them.
"Back off, Mutt!" Roman shouts back as he blocks a few more slashes with his cane. TJ is then surrounded by White Fang soldiers as Roman dashes off. But before the White Fang could do anything, a banana peel fell on one of their heads, causing them to look up.
"Woohoo!" Sun exclaims as he leaps from the container above and drops down as he is back to back with TJ, his weapons, two red gunchucks out.
"Sun, help Blake! I'll deal with these grunts!" TJ told Sun.
"Ok, you got it!" Sun says as he dodges slashes and gets some of the soldiers with his fists and kicks until he rolls out of the way. He then runs towards Blake while pulling out a collapsible red staff to knock any grunts that get in his way while Blake was still pursuing Roman by herself.
Blake peers around the corner of the container to watch Sun jump around and beat another White Fang soldier, landing on his back and causing him to fly over toward Roman's head. The crime boss ducks and then growls in annoyance and aims his cane at Sun, firing a shot that he defends himself from just when Blake leaps into the action.
"He's mine!" Blake yelled.
Blake goes in close and becomes a blur of afterimages as she slashes both blades at Roman, who backs away and deflects each would-be blow with his cane at unbelievable speeds. Blake continues to dash, hop over, and slide around Roman to try and find a weak spot. Finally landing a blow after using her Semblance but he quickly recovers, deflecting several more attacks before attempting to punch her in the face. Only to hit a clone as she flips away. The two clash weapons again and as they were clashed, TJ's foot came out of nowhere and slammed Roman in the face, sending him away.
"Back off candle head." TJ retorted. "You ok Blake?" He asked as he checked on Blake for any injuries.
"I'm fine." Blake answered.
On his back, Roman notices a container hanging by a crane right above the two ninjas, and gets up to fire his cane at its supports. Blake leaps behind it, but TJ was caught off guard from this and didn't move. He did the only thing that first came to mind.
"May this container turn to dust should I lie!" TJ shouted.
Then as if someone heard him, a bolt of lighting struck the container, turning it into dust as it blew away in the wind.
TJ, Blake, and Roman were surprised and shocked as they stared at the scene with white circular eyes. TJ then looked at his hands before snapping his gaze upwards. "May a million sushi rolls fall from the sky should I lie!"
…Nothing.
"Oh well, at least I tried." TJ shrugged. Roman refocused himself and prepared to fire another shot only for a very familiar voice to be heard.
"Hey!"
Ruby appears on the rooftop overlooking them, Crescent Rose extended and ready for action.
"Ruby, are these people your friends?" Penny asked Ruby as she approached her.
"I don't think so Penny." Tyler guessed, also approaching them.
"Well, hello, Red! Isn't it past your bedtime?" Roman asked Ruby only to get kicked and slammed into a wall near a Bullhead by TJ.
"Here's a lesson, don't lose focus when you're fighting…" TJ muttered.
"I'll take note of that good advice in the future." Roman sarcastically commented as he got up on his feet.
"Penny, stay back!" Ruby frantically tries to stop her.
"Don't worry, Ruby. I'm combat ready!" Penny assured her.
Her backpack then mechanically opens up, and from its dark depths comes a single sword that extends and multiples into several blades hovering over Penny's back.
"Let me help you Penny. I'm prepared for battle!" Tyler said as his weapons were out, which were two copper brown metal gauntlets that ended a couple inches below his wrists and appeared to be somewhat bulky, yet light.
Tyler's fox tails then started spinning rapidly, causing Tyler to fly 2 feet off the ground. He then flies toward a couple White Fang grunts and knocks them down with his gauntlets. He then blocks a sword from behind him using his gauntlets.
He then disappears into a cluster of orange rose petals as he grabs the grunt that tried to attack him and slams him into a nearby container
Tyler's Semblance: Replication - Tyler is able to completely copy any semblance requiring aura to utilize, and can bring up said semblance with 100% proficiency as long as focus on that ability is kept. Tyler can't utilize more than one semblance at a time, and semblances drain more aura the longer they're used.
Meanwhile, Penny, leaped from the rooftop with the weapons acting as wings, she sends three of her swords to knock two White Fang soldiers down before even landing on the ground, where she proceeds to fling the swords at one enemy, impale another to a wall, create a barrier of spinning steel against a running attack, leaping over a goon with her swords in tow, and finally making a wheel that she throws to knock multiple Faunus off their feet.
"Whoa! They really are combat ready!" TJ exclaimed as he observed them fighting. He then runs off to safety with Sun following behind him.
Just then, three Bullheads came from the skies.
"Penny! Deal with the Bullheads! I'll handle the grunts!" Tyler shouted to Penny as she nodded in confirmation. He then stomped on a White Fang soldier's foot, and sucker punched him, sending him flying away.
The three Bullheads open fire on the battle, but Penny merely forms a shield and launches two of her swords into the wall behind her, which in turn pull their wielder back with their strings. When her swords swirl around her again, she commands them to open their points and build up a large glowing ball of green light. With a punching action, several bright lasers crack the pavement when they fire at the transports and slice each one in half, causing several of the White Fang members inside to fall and letting Ruby watch as Bullheads fall in pieces behind her.
Stunned, she turns back to Penny as she aims her swords at the remaining Bullheads holding the crate of Dust and pulls back on their wires, tugging the aircraft with them.
"Whoa…how is she doing that?" Ruby asked as she watched in awe.
Seeing the Bullhead's flight fall under Penny's control, Roman grimaces and turns to run towards the last transport.
Penny, after her large green pupils dilate for a second, pulls with all her might on the strings, and the aircraft crashes into a stack of crates, causing an explosion as a result.
"These kids just keep getting weirder." Roman muttered as he watched from the safety of his escape. He then used his cane to close the doors, and the jet lifted off, flying away from the lost battle.
Later, a handful of police cars are at the docks, where Ruby, TJ, Blake, Sun, Penny, and Tyler are sitting on boxes in silence. That is, until Weiss, Yang, Water, and Fire appear on the scene.
"Look Weiss, it's not what you think, she explained the whole thing. See, she doesn't actually have a bow, she has kitty ears and they're actually kind of cute…" Ruby tried to explain to her partner, but she ignored her and headed straight for Blake.
"Weiss, I want you to know that I'm no longer associated with the White Fang. Back when I was with the-" Blake tried to explain herself only for Weiss to interrupt her.
"Stop! Do you have any idea of how long we've been searching for you? Twelve hours. That means I've had twelve hours to think about this. And in those twelve hours, I've decided…"
"I don't care."
"You don't care?" Blake asked, surprised.
"You said you're not one of them anymore, right?"
"No, I-I haven't been since I was younger-"
"Ah-bahp-bahp-bahp! I don't want to hear it. All I want to know is that the next time something this big comes up... you'll come to your teammates. And not some…" Weiss looked at Sun behind her as she caught herself. "Someone else."
"Of course."
Weiss smiles and nods. The moment is serious for a second more until Ruby screams: "Yeah! Team RWBY is back together!" Ruby cheered as she waved her arms around.
As the five gather with each other, she points accusingly at Sun. "I'm still not quite sure about how I feel about you!" Weiss says with accusation in her voice as Sun laughs nervously.
"Hey, wait a minute...where's Penny and Tyler?" Ruby asked as she looked around.
"I'm sure they went home." TJ suggested. "I mean, they did face off against a ton of grunts."
From the darkened back seat of a limo, Penny watches the group of friends reuniting with each other.
"You should know better than to go running around in a strange city." Penny's driver told her off screen.
Penny lowered her head in sadness. "I know, sir."
"Penny, your time will come…" The driver said as the car drives away from the scene.
Meanwhile, in another part of Vale, Tyler was on a cobalt blue scroll talking to someone.
"I heard a lightning bolt coming from the docks, was that you?" Tyler asked the caller in the scroll.
"Yep. Guilty as charged, I struck a container and turned it into dust." The person on the other side of the scroll gleefully said, a small hint of a psychotic tone in the caller's voice.
A bit of muffled noise then came from the other side, some fighting and some small grumbling. "Enough out of you! Anyways, we have Specter and Greene near your location, we need you three back at the base to prepare for things. I need to contact Ozpin about a few things." Another voice said on the other side of the scroll.
"Gotcha. Also I saw Team TIWF at the docks, along with Team RWBY. Should I keep an eye on them?" Tyler asked.
"No need. Why do you think me and the rest of our new Team CBAL (Cobalt) are going to Beacon?" The caller rhetorically asked. "I know you want to change things for the better and try to keep casualties to a minimum for future events but just try to be patient."
"Okay, I will." Tyler replied. He then hung up and heard footsteps behind him. He turned around to see two people.
The first one appeared to be a mature female. She wore a light gray cloak that covered her entire body and her face. Hidden in the cloak was a red bandana that covered her left eye. She also wore a black jacket with a white slanted belt on it holding ammo, fitting maroon jeans, and black leather combat boots with red fur on it. This was Specter.
She also had two mechanical kamas on both her hips that could turn into dual pistols and form together to make a grappling hook. She called both of them, Broken Promise.
The second person was a boy the same age as Tyler and was also 5'7". He had grassy green hair and grassy green eyes. His hair was combed backwards save for a bang above his right eye that seemed to resemble the shape of a leaf and also appeared to rise upwards and stay like that. He wore an ocean blue shirt, a lime green open jacket, sage green cargo shorts, light brown hiking boots, and a black patch on the left pec of his jacket where his emblem is. On his jacket, he had a slanted brown belt with a magnet on it holding his weapon. This was Luke Greene.
Luke's emblem was a small neon green leaf with a small blue water droplet falling from the tip of the leaf.
Luke's weapon appeared to be a sage green glaive/guitar combo that is in guitar form right now. It has a knob near the body that showcases the mode of the guitar. Right now it's in 'Docile Mode' and when fighting Grimm, it changes into 'Battle Mode'. It was filled with Dust ranging from Fire, Ice, Lightning, Plant, Hard-Light, and Healing Dust. It was called Melodic Mischief.

"Sorry we're late, we got caught up in a few things." Luke explained. "Besides, I wanna make a good impression." He pumped his fists a bit.
"I thought you would wanna impress your girlfriend, Pyrrha." Tyler teased with a teasing smile. Luke just blushed scarlet red.
"W-what, n-no I don't." Luke denied horribly due to his face.
"Enough you two, we're needed back at base." Specter said, getting both their attention.
"Okay." Tyler agreed. He then copied Raven's semblance and opened up an orange portal in front of them.
"Let's Rock n' Roll." Luke said. He then grabbed Melodic Mischief and turned the knob, putting it in 'Bass Mode'. "Time for some uplifting action music to raise our spirits."
"Red like Roses~" Luke started to sing. He then went into the portal followed by Specter.
