Make Her Pay – 3
Terezi chattered her distinctive giggle as she smelled Karkat talking to himself. It was always fun talking to Karkat—he was so easy to tease. And his reactions were delicious. Also he smelled like licorice and candy corn and (for some reason) candy apples, which made her think of a carnival. She had always loved going to carnivals when she was a little grub. It had been sort of worrying going without a lusus, but hey, Terezi was nothing if not independent.
She picked up a nearby scalemate and put it in her lap. It smelled like mangos. It was fun learning the different smells of everything, the different tastes. It was hard to get used to, of course, but it was certainly an adventure trying.
It hadn't taken Terezi long to realize she wasn't really all that mad at Vriska. She just didn't care.
No…that wasn't it.
She was almost thankful. There were so many things she could do now that she couldn't before. Maybe sight was just a hindrance all along. Maybe she just preferred the darkness.
Or maybe… Maybe she thought it gave her an advantage. If she was a good manipulator before, she'd be an utterly, insufferably excellent one now.
After all, pity is what makes a troll flush red.
She smiled a pointy smile. TH4NK YOU, SP1D3RTROLL. H3H3H3.
