Ava was sitting in the bedroom sniffing and wiping her eyes with the sleeve of her jumper she opens her phone and sees over 900 notifications from various different people. She covered her face and cried she just missed her parents but she didn't know how to get out of this situation. George came in holding some food for her. "Here you go got some food for you look we'll look out for you now don't worry"
Liam and Maxine were chatting on the train and about to get off "so tell me what they like at the care home like you always here stories" Liam shrugs and sighs "I guess it's alright like we're kinda like a family" Maxine nods "ah i get that" Liam raises his eyebrow "how do you get that you literally live with your teacher you can't be family" Maxine smirks "yea I know but i guess this school is a little different" continues speaking "like the headteacher is like a mum to all of us you know" Liam nods "yea I get you like I suppose Tracy is like a big sister and Mikes like a dad to us" "Mr Clarkson is like that as well like he's the step dad to my best friend and always looks out for us all" Liam takes a breath then asks "you know how your fostered don't you ever wonder what's going to happen after you leave school" Maxine nods "no not really I mean I guess I'll go to uni with Janeece my other best mate and live with her I mean it's not like I'll get kicked out" they get to the station and get off and Liam smiles at her as her phone rings and Maxine goes to take it"
Donte's chatting to his mates in French and his phone starts to ring he looks at it confused as it showed a restricted number he picked it up and starts speaking "hello, Donte Charles… who's this" Donte's face changes as he hears the girl sobbing and trying to speak "I've messed up" "Ava… is that you"' "I thought they cared.. they were my friends" Donte takes a sharp breath "Ava listen to me you need to tell me where you are" Steph looked up and saw Donte on the phone and raised her eyebrow "Donte what do you think your doing" Donte stood up and walked out of the class with Steph following him "oi mr Charles where do you think your going" "it's Ava miss she's calling me" Steph looked at Donte then beckoned him to follow her started talking to him "so where is she" "I don't know I'm trying to find that out" Ava starts talking to Donte "don't tell anyone please Donte not miss mason not the care home please" Donte looks at Steph "she doesn't want anyone to know but we have to help her" Steph nods "I know who to talk to don't worry" Steph walks in to Matt's class leaving Donte outside "Matt, can we have a word" Matt looked confused umm sure" Steph decides to explain "Ava contacted Donte and we know where she is" Matt eyes widened "we need to tell miss mason" Ava doesn't want miss mason to know that's the thing" Donte spoke up "listen why don't I go by myself I'll take someone with me but I don't know I feel like she's clearly in a bad way and she just needs a mate" Matt agrees "dontes right she's clearly tired of adults and she just needs a friend to show they care" Steph took a few moments "okay but Mr Wilding and I will be nearby in a car. Donte smiles "thanks miss" Donte then heads off and Matt turns to Steph "are you sure about this Steph nodded "yea I'll tell Tom so Rachel and everyone knows but I'm sure"
Donte walks up to the driveway with Bolton behind him "you sure this is the right place bro" Donte nods "yea I'm sure I mean she texted me that this is the area" Bolton scuffs his shoe against the gravel "I just feel bad like we're supposed to be her mates and we failed her" Donte shook his head "I've learnt from Maxine but sometimes kids who are in care they don't trust easily honestly it's not your fault" Donte knocked on the door and people opened the door up with George stepping out "hello, how can we help" Donte speaks up" well Ava called me.. George stepped up to Donte "ah did she now" chuckles "probably a butt call we're her friends don't worry about that" Bolton stands next to Donte "she's vulnerable she needs a proper home and she needs to be with people who care and understand her" Ava stands by the top of the stairs and sees the boys at the door and tries to walk out towards them but Amy grabs her hand "where do you think your going"
Liam looks at his phone and nudges Maxine "we've been walking for ages can't we just grab some food" Maxine shrugs "I guess" they head into a cafe and Liam heads over to the till to order and gets a call from Tracy "Liam, where are you" Liam explains "oh I'm at a cafe with a mate of Ava's just looking for Ava" Tracy sighs "that's great but you need to come back Mike wants everyone back at the house" Liam groans "but Tracy like it's not like I'm in danger I'm with someone and we're looking for Ava" "I know that Liam but honestly just come back" Liam pays for the food and heads back for Maxine "hey we need to get back" Maxine nods "I get you maybe we'll do this again tomorrow" they head out of the cafe and start walking back to the station heading down a short alleyway to the station. Suddenly someone bumps into them Maxine chuckles "oops sorry didn't see you there" the guy stepped forward "think your hard do you" Liam stepped forward "she just bumped into you bro chill out" a group of guys then stepped out "you looking for a argument are you don't tell us to chill out". One of the guys pulled Maxine towards him and pushed her against the wall "aww is your little bodyguard scared now too cowardly to help you" Liam suddenly pushed the guy off her and punched him the other guys grabbing Liam and beating him up. Maxine screamed and started crying "Liam!!" after a while Liam groaned and sat up against the wall as the guys took all his stuff and ran off. Maxine ran to Liams side and hugged him "I'm so sorry.. are you okay" Liam looked into Maxine's eyes "ugh feel like shit I can't go home" "you can stay at mine.. or janeeces yea I'll call janeece her mum doesn't give a shit" Liam blinked and took Maxine's face kissing her Maxine smiled and kissed back putting liams arm around her and picking him up helping him walk out of the alleyway.
