Minka awoke to the shocking news of the night's events. "Are you two okay?" she asked Konohamaru and Mitsuki, who almost ate the meal.

Konohamaru rolled his eyes. "Yes, we're fine - aren't you worried?" he asked.

She shrugged. "Between me and you four, I think I'll be okay."

Team 7 was motivated by her trust, and Konohamaru was too, but he was still worried. Minka was mildly concerned but not at all surprised at the development - she figured either her father or a friend of her father's who was involved in the law in the Land of Snow was behind it.

The rest of that day went uneventfully until after lunchtime. A cook was shooing someone out of the kitchen loudly, calling one of the guards over. "Hey! This person isn't on the kitchen staff, they were sneaking around!" she called.

Konohamaru and Sarada were immediately on it, surrounding the questionable person. He was found to have more of the poison on him and was by the food that was to be prepared for dinner. He was also, very disturbingly, one of the assistants on the Land of Fire's legal counsel.

Team 7 then had to work to confirm that no evidence or work was sabotaged or missing - they contacted the lawyers immediately to go through their materials, and contacted Lord Seventh. "We have copies of everything here," he assured. "Except for anything they have from talking with Minka."

Konohamaru sighed. He had instructed Team 7 to not tell Minka about this, sure that she'd be livid, and potentially murderous. It was time for his shift to sleep and he went to his own bed on the train. When he woke up, they'd be in the Land of Snow.

Minka had been reading in one of the train cars, enjoying some sunshine before they would enter the chilliest parts of the land. She heard two employees on the train whispering. "Did you hear they caught someone with poison?" one said.

"Yeah, it was one of the legal assistants!" the other said.

Minka immediately bristled. She shut her book and set off to explore the train, trying to find the culprit. She ran into Boruto and began questioning him.

"Where is he?" she growled.

"Who, Konohamaru? He's sleeping," Boruto said. "Are you two fighting?"

"Not him Boruto," she glared. "The assassin."

He groaned. "No! How'd you hear?"

"It doesn't matter, tell me!" she said.

"We can't have you talk to him, you'd probably hurt him too bad and it'd look bad for your case," Boruto said, crossing his arms.

Minka yelled, turning and punching the train wall, leaving a dent in the metal. She stormed off to an empty train car and jumped through an access hatch, holding onto the roof of the train. She walked to the very rear and yelled into the wind. It was loud, carrying her words into the now frosty lands around her, as she returned to what was her own personal hell for so long. Boruto was right - if she saw the assassin, she'd want information on her father, and she'd do anything to get it.

She soon went hoarse from yelling and sat down, dangling her legs off the edge of the back of the train car. She stared at the sky and the land, watching as the snow gradually built up around them. The next morning they'd be in the city, and that afternoon, the courtroom. She was absolutely determined to do anything to keep those kids from going back to their father, even if it meant killing him.
