The house feels kinda familiar, was I here before?

Nah, I don't think so.

The man walked to the stairs, while I watched him shout. "Kids, don't get out of your rooms! Renember what happened before?" A bunch of protests rang in the house, as if it was a crowd of people... huh.

Okay, so I got here because someone, who is a family guy, threw something at my head- ouch yes, it freaking hurts.

When he came back with a medical kit, I started to protest. "Sir, I don't think this is necessary."

"Hey, don't move! I need to stop the bleeding."

"Maybe I should go to the hospital-"

"NO! I mean, that is not an option."

I was kind of in a predicament, this kind man is trying to patch me up, and I'm refusing? Ahh... forget it, might as well get out of here without the bleeding being a problem.

On another problem, who is this guy? "What is your name again?" I asked.

"Oh." He put the piece of cotton on the coffee table. "I'm Lynn Loud, renember that name."

I looked at him fiercely. "Of course, I won't forget the one that reopened my head in two, Mr.Loud."

Lynn scratched his neck while looking sheepish. "Well, I said I was sorry, okay? It won't happen again." he extended his arm for a handshake. "So, what's your name, kid?"

Kid? "The name's Zak, and I'm not a kid." I said huffing a bit. I felt a burning sensation behind my head. "Ouch, careful with that."

He shook his head. "Impossible. You are almost the same size as my son! Talking about my son..." Lynn put his hand on his chin, "Shouldn't you be at school?"

Okay, I'm sure that I can't actually tell the truth here, so maybe this lie could fly? "Oh, I'm actually homeschooled. I was on my way home when BAM! I got struck on the head with a lamp." I slowly chuckled.

"Heh, what a way to light up the day, hah! Get it?" He asked while giving me the fingerguns.

Obviously, I facepalmed at the joke. "Come on man, that was a pretty bad one."

Taking a deep breath, I closed my eyes and tried to calm myself down. What am I doing? Giving permission to a stranger to patch me up, having a conversation with him... This is weird.

Not knowing what to do, I just looked around, giving me more material to talk with. "So, ah... nice house you have here. Kinda messy, but good space."

Lynn put his hand on ny shoulder, giving it a light squeeze. "Hey, thanks. Though it's kinda small for my family, not enough space for everyone."

"¿Qué?" My eyes widened as I watched him, not believing what I've heard, "Sir, with all due respect, this is a really big house... can I ask how big is your family?"

A place to live is not easy to find where I come from. You should get a really good job (and a legal one) to get it done, because if you decide to build it yourself, then store your tools and the materials in a safe place- they could be gone in less than a day.

I guess that doesn't matter here, huh? How many people should stay in this place for it to be cramped?

"We are 13 in total, not counting our pets."

All of the air that was on me got out inmediately. "...excuse me?" I still had my eyes on Lynn.

"Yup!" Having a confident smile, he continued. "I'm proud of my eleven children and my wife, I wouldn't know what to do with them."

"Wow... eleven kids?" My god, that's horrible. I'm already thinking on how hard it should be to protect stuff away from others. What about privacy and stuff? Obviously I wasn't going to actually ask him that, it would be rude on my part. "Thats, uh, nice. Congrats." I give him a thumbs up.

Seeing as nothing was happening, I got up of the couch. "I think I stayed enough in this place," Turning my head, I gave a tiny smile as I make my way out of his home. "Thanks for trying to help me, not everyone would do that."

"Zak, wait." Lynn stopped me before I touched the door handle. "I was wondering, would you like to stay here and have dinner with my family today? It's the least I can do for accidentally hurting you."

All sounds got quiet for a second as my mind was a disaster. He's a nobody, why should I stay? Sleeping in a plaza, talking with my young me, waking up in an unknown place and then I'm in the house of a stranger who is probably double my age who wants me to stay?

Maybe I should get out of here before I overstay my welcome. I don't think that it's fair to be in a place that reminds me of...

...them.

A small house could be seen in a faraway distance, getting closer by the second you look at it. It had some kind of small business in it, selling basic stuff like candy, cookies and groceries.

On the inside, a small boy and a busy middle-aged woman were doing the dishes, looking like they just had dinner.

"Hey mom."

"Yes, sweetie?"

The small kid let out a sigh, concentrating on a plate. "Some kids at the school say that I'm a freak when I was in classroom."

Hearing this, the mother stopped washing as the boy continued his story. "They said that my... eyes looked weird and called me a retarded kid." He looked at his reflection on a window. "Why am I like this?"

Now it was the turn of the mother to sigh deeply, as she was concerned for her son. Hugging him as strong as she could, she grabbed his tiny hand and got closer. "Oh Zakhep, you are not what those kids said at all. You're beautiful as you came here for the first time as a baby." The mom got up and took her son to the kiosk. "Let me give you some cookies and let's forget about this, okay?"

"No mom, I don't want to waste your stuff in me..."

"Oh, don't worry about that. I'm your mother, so choose one that you like."

"Okay... I like the quince-filled ones, but give me the small one."

"Nope! If you're gonna get something, at least choose one to last!"

"Moooom!"

"Oh, shush! Just grab it."

She never answered my question, but I guess it didn't matter. Maybe I should see what happens, and if I feel uncomfortable, I can just go and excuse myself.

I almost didn't notice that Lynn was still talking, whoops. "You look like a good kid to me. And maybe we could get to know eachother more, you know what I'm saying? Heh." Lynn started to scratch his head as he looked at the kitchen. "Plus, you can meet my family and try my famous Lynn-guine with meatballs today! I'm making extra for today, you'll love it!"

So much confidence on his skills. I'm really curious now.

With a smile, I crossed my arms to my chest, looking at him. "Oh? I think someone wants to really surprise me." I let a long chuckle while pointing at him with my index finger. "Do you have what it takes to impress this guy? Bring it on!" I challenged dramatically, bringing one leg on the floor.

The both of us had a look of determination on our eyes, as we shook hands for the challenge. "I'm warning you, you will get out of this house begging for more delicacies of mine!" We both started laughing at the silly stuff that we're doing. "I think we're gonna be good friends, kid." Lynn said as he patted my back lightly.

I stopped at that last bit. "I tell ya, I'm not a kid!"

Hi, thanks for reading until the end of this chapter! I want to know what you feel until now with this story.

It's really hard to write in this language, as I keep bringing the translator to know some words, haha. First time I'm making lengthy conversations, I actually think that I did well to be my first.

Anyways, stay tuned for the next one- the house is gonna get louder soon!
