Meet 20-year-old Abigail Tyler. Long brown hair, brown eyes, 5" ft 4 and currently living at home with Jackie and Rose.
Abigail also known to family and friends as Abby was the odd one out of the family she was quiet and kept mostly to herself. unlike the rest of her family.
she never thought her life would change in such a way until her sister met The doctor.
it was just a normal, boring day in London and Abigail had just finished work, she was on her way to meet her sister.
A huge bang was heard and the ground grumbled below her feet. Rose came running around the corner not looking where she was going and ran straight into her sister.
"whats up with you? and what the hell was that," Abby asked
"nuffin, there was this guy and I dunno, it just doesn't make sense what was happening ... just forget it, let's get home yeah?
"you sure?"
"Yeah, yeah I'm sure"
"you know you can talk to me right?"
"I know, I know let's go"
"wait, wait, wait why the hell are you holding a mannequin's arm for?"
"Ummm...off one of the guys in work ya know what they are like.. come on "
they ran off to catch the bus home. as they got on and sat down Abby was looking at her sister deep in thought she knew something was not right but she wouldn't pressure her right now.
"This is us" rose said as she jumped from her seat. Abigail follows behind.
As they walked into their tiny flat Jackie Tyler had BBC news on full blast talking about a department store on fire
"where the hell have you been" she shouted
"on the bus coming home," Abigail replied
"Why what's wrong"
"that's what's wrong," she said as she pointed to the tv
Henricks came on the tv but bot as they usually know it, the windows were smashed black smoke coming from the windows and the odd fire showed where the firemen had yet to out it out.
Abigail looked at Rose, she didn't even have to say a word, rose knew this meant we will have chat later when mums not listening.
"sit, ill make us some tea"
Jackie picked up the house phone and called her friend Debbie to let him know what happened.
"I've been phoning! you could have been dead. it's all on the news! I can't believe your shop went up" Mickey, Rose's boyfriend came rushing in worried
"honestly, I'm fine. don't fuss!" rose replied
"but what happened"
"yeah rose what happened, I thought something wasn't right the way you came running around the corner"
"I don't know"
"what was it though, what caused it"
"I wasn't in the shop. I was outside. I didn't see anything."
Abigail was eyeing her sister up from the chair across the room. she could tell her sister was keeping something back.
Their mum kept going on about compensation and making money now that rose was out of a job.
the phone rang, and Abigail answered
"mum, it's Bev ..."
"ohh give it here.. "
and off she went to gossip more.
mickey spoke up "What're you drinking, tea? Nah, nah, that's no good, that's no good. You're in shock. You need something stronger"
"I can see where this is going" Abigail mumbled.
Rose eyed her from across the room before turning to Mickey.
"I'm fine"
"Now, come on, you deserve a proper drink. We're going down the pub, you and me. My treat. How about it? you to Abby."
Abigail tried to hold in her laughter as she knew this was coming but it just came right out, rose once again glared at her sister.
Rose asked Mickey "Is there a match on?"
"That's not the point, but we could catch the last five minutes."
"I knew it haha" Abigail was at this point in hysterics. everyone knew how much Mickey loved football and no place better to watch it than at the pub.
"Go on, then. I'm fine. Go. Get rid of that" as Rose pointed at the mannequin's arm
Abigail looked at the arm a final time before Mickey grabbed it and pretended to be strangled by the arm. an ice-cold shiver crawled up her spine, she knew something was wrong, something not quite right. she pushed the feeling aside and took a sip of her tea as they said night to Mickey.
Abigail lifted her head towards Rose.
"So are you gonna tell me what happened or are we just gonna pretend nothing happened, when we both know that is a lie."
"fine... but keep it quiet okay."
she went on to explain how she went to drop the lottery money to Wilson in the basement but when she got there she couldn't find him. she went to the storage room and that's when things got weird.
"they just started moving, I didn't know what to do. I just kept walking back and back until I hit the wall, then all I remember is this man grabbing my hand and telling me to run."
"a man... what's his name?"
"he didn't give me a name, well not a proper name anyway."
"right your not making sense, how can he not have a proper name"
"he called himself The Doctor"
once again a cold shiver crept its way down Abigail's back and a sharp painful ache entered her head. she clung to her head as if her life depended on it.
Rose quickly shouted to her mum to come quick.
"I'm fine, I'm fine just need some painkillers"
as quickly as it started it was eased.
"This is the worst one yet, you need to go to the doctors" Jackie Tyler insisted.
"I'm fine mum, I promise."
this happened on rare occasions. it was like de ja vu, something seemed familiar but didn't at the same time.
"once more im calling the hospital myself... off to bed now both of ya"
