Chapter 13

Previously

The 9 tails looked at his host with a proud look. "Look at you kit you did it kit. That was impressive you did well despite your handicap you could have moved faster than that hehehe" Naruto was confused what handicap. He went in guns blazing and he used everything he had.

"It seems a certain idiot forgot to take off his training when he got excited" the 9 tails decided to help his host. Naruto blinked. He forgot to take off the seals, that's why his body was always under extreme stress when using this technique. He realised that if he had taken off the seals he would have moved faster and reacted faster too.

"You got to be freaking kidding me" he said before he passed out but he could still hear the roaring laughter of the 9 tails.

Now

After Naruto passed out he was caught by Haku who was farcing over him. Zabuza was keeping an eye on the other members of team 7 to make sure they wouldn't try anything. They were still enemies after all although he had to wonder what was up with his daughter and the shrimp. Honestly this kid was more than he seems and the way he rescued the hostages was impressive to say the least. Now that he looked closely at the boy he could see the resemblance to a certain someone and the technique he used although it didn't have any kunai in it was a close replica to that certain someone's technique. For now he needed to get Haku out of there and observe from afar. So he pulled a reluctant Haku before reassuring her that they would see the kid soon. The villagers had arrived after Gato's goons fled and Gato became sushi. They were happy that they were finally free from that evil tyrant. They rushed to their saviours to make sure they were okay. Kakashi seemed to be fine just exhausted, Sakura was fine she didn't do much of anything and Sasuke was busy empting his breakfast after his first kill. So they picked up Naruto and returned home.

Naruto was unconscious for about two days and even after he woke up he felt stiff and sour. He was tired as hell and he knew that he couldn't use that technique at that speed for a while now. At least he knew that it worked so for now he would shelf that project until his body could handle the strain. The 9 tails said that his body needed rest and it would adjust soon maybe in about 6 months. So for now he needed to finish up reading the book and making notes. Also there was a seal he was working on which he wanted to test out before making his own explosive tags. So he settled on taking it easy and helping finish the bridge. A few clones wouldn't put that much strain on him.

Also Naruto spend his time with the villagers mainly the young children. Since he didn't have any friends when he was young, this was a good chance for him to do some of the staff he failed to do when he didn't have friends. So he played with the kids of the village games that normal non ninja kids played. It also helped that the kids were eager to play with him and that parents actually encouraged their children to play with him instead of taking their children away. It also was a breath of fresh air that everyone looked at him with grateful looks instead of those hate filled glares. He felt more at home than when he was in the Leaf, a village where he was born and resided in. He wished he could do more for them. The village was still poor and most of the people needed help or some would die of hunger. He thought of raiding Gato's mansion until Kakashi told him that they already did it and salvaged what they could from what was left after Gato's goons who fled when he died decided to cover their losses and Zabuza was also their judgeing by the trail of dead goons. No doubt he killed them and took their loot. So for now the village had a few goods of high price and some money but that couldn't cover the immediate needs of the village.

"You know if you go on like this I might just become your personal secretary who always reminds you of what you forgot." Yah the lazy fox was up and he was being a smart-alecky as always.

"Hey I am not lazy I am just enjoy napping and you just so happened to be the perfect napping spot."

"No you are just being lazy. I mean you spend most of your time sleeping. Who does that?" Naruto argued.

"Try spending more than 20 years chained to a giant rock in the most uncomfortable position possible which I named bondage mode and then being shoved into a seal that's always wet for another twelve years and on top of that I have been trying to keep you alive. Try sleeping in those conditions and tell me after if you can get an ounce of sleep. Is it wrong to catch up on some zees?"

"Good point sorry about that hehehe" Naruto said as he scratched the back of his head.

"At least you are not into bondage like your mother. Or maybe we can give you some chains or rope and we will see what happens"

"Come on man that's gross and I am not into bondage whatever that is. Anyway you said I forgot something."

"Oh yah didn't a certain someone hand you a certain scroll?" the 9 tails said cryptically. Naruto closed his eyes as he tried to think before his eyes widened. How could he have forgotten something like that? His brother gave him that scroll and he said that this scroll would help the village. Those who were near him sweat dropped as the boy's face underwent several expressions before he suddenly started to smack his head on a tree trunk shout idiot over and over.

The boy quickly ran to Tazuna' house and went through the various staff that he sealed away looking for the scroll. When he found it he decided to give it to Tazuna so that he could decide what to do with it. He squashed that train of though. Why? Well because his head was suddenly filled with images of an ecstatic Tazuna surrounded by a mountain of booze. Okay giving this to Tazuna would be a bad idea. Who knows what would happen if he gave it to that old drunk. So the other option would be Tsunami. She seemed dependable enough with how she managed her household. Kakashi was a no go, he would ask too many questions about where he got the scroll from and he was not in the mood to be grilled again.

So he approached Tsunami in the kitchen and asked her to step outside. He made sure that they were not followed before he presented the scroll to Tsunami. The woman looked puzzled about what the boy was handing her so Naruto decided to explain.

"This is a scroll my brother gave to me when we came here. I think he knew the state of the village and decided to help out" said Naruto as he unsealed the contents of the scroll. He was curious to see what was in the scroll. When he did various scrolls pooped out together with a letter which appeared to be directions on what to do with some of the scrolls. The two of the looked at the scrolls, they were labelled money, food, clothing and blankets and houses(?). Okay did his brother just seal a bunch of houses in a scroll? Another scroll was labelled helping hands and when he channelled chakra into the scroll a number of rabbits were summoned. They seemed to know what to do as they took the scroll labelled houses and stealthy went to the other side of the village were less people were. No need to scare people when they see a number of dog sized talking rabbits.

Naruto and a dumbfounded Tsunami followed the rabbits. They found them clearing up land and levelling it. They seemed to be following a plan like they were going to build some residential areas. They then unsealed the scroll labelled houses on the cleared area and out of it came beautiful two story wooden houses that looked like boarding houses. They were about 5 of them all arranged in a circular manner and the 6th one which was larger than the others was in the centre. They soon discovered that the larger one was the dining hall and the others were residential areas with rooms that were big enough to fit 10 people. The roomed had futons in them while the dining hall had a number of wooden tables and chairs.

So the homeless people and the orphans were to come and leave here until the situation was stable. Tsunami was stunned. What kind of a person would do this for a village they didn't know? Naruto on the other hand was spotting a number of tick marks on his head. The dude knew Wood style to make all this. Is there anything his brother couldn't do? Man it's just not fair at all. To piss him off further a rabbit delivered a note to Naruto with a drawing of a grinning chibi D Naruto making a piece sign saying "I am awesome".

After going through all the other scrolls Tsunami was left in tears of joy. It seems that they had enough food to last them for months and with the money they got from raiding Gato's mansion and if they sell some of the valuable staff they found and the money from the scroll they could revive their economy in no time at all. She couldn't wait to tell the others. Naruto left the logistics in her hands. He went out heading into the forest were he felt the familiar signatures of Haku and Zabuza.

And while he was heading that direction trouble was also coming from that same direction. Kaiba and Kappa were a few miles from the village and judging from the sick grins on their faces, they were excited to liberate the villagers in the name of Jashin. They had spread the joys of Jashin along the way to some poor souls but that didn't satisfy their thirst. Well maybe mass murder of 100s of villagers would.

Meanwhile in the eastern side of the village Sasuke was hard at work training. Since he lost to Haku and saw Naruto's display of skill when fighting the thugs he was very pissed off first at himself for being weak and second for Naruto getting stronger. And how did the dope survive Haku when he lost anyway. Naruto when he woke up didn't give much detail of his match with Haku but Sasuke knew that they fought and Naruto won judging by the lack of senbon on him during the final battle. Kakashi was overseeing his training helping him control his chakra better and how to make his fire jutsus more powerful. After Sasuke lost to Haku, Kakashi wanted to make sure that Sasuke was as powerful as possible so that he wouldn't lose again. He was also putting Sasuke in life threatening situation so that he could awaken his sharingan. From there he would help Sasuke have perfect control of his sharingan so as to honour his friend Obito's memory. Sakura was being her usual self sharing on Sasuke as he trained but she also did her chakra control exercises but not as much as required of her.

In the forest

Naruto was walking towards were he sensed the chakra signatures moved to. He came to a small clearing and waited to Zabuza and Haku to show up. When they didn't show he decided to call them out.

"You can come out you two I know you are there!" as soon as he finished Zabuza and Haku came out of the shadows a few metres in front of Naruto.

"Well well well. Looks like your awareness is top notch if you are able to sense us" Zabuza praised the boy. He was impressed that the boy was able to sense him. It's not every day that a young ninja like him is able to sense one of the Seven Swordsman of the Mist of which Zabuza was a master of stealth. He trained Haku well to hide he presence and chakra signature but it seems this boy was able to find them. So he came up with a couple of theories about how the kid found them.

"Let me guess you are either a sensor or you just have a very sharp of hearing and smell. You don't look like a Hatake or those Inuzuka folk. So which is it?"

Naruto raised a brow as he answered "Both. I memorised your signatures the moment we first met and Haku's scent when we met in the forest. I also know that you have been hanging around Tazuna's house for a while now. And also thanks Haku for coming to check up on me."

Zabuza and Haku were stunned this boy was tracking them ever since he woke up. This kid was really amazing. Wait what's this about Haku checking up on the kid, he made sure the girl didn't leave his sight. He looked at Haku who was know a blushing mess and was fidgeting under his intense gaze. Okay now Zabuza didn't like what he was seeing from the girl. She was exhibiting signs that he wasn't ready to see for another 10 years or maybe never. He surely hoped it wasn't what he was thinking otherwise the kid was going to die even if he had caught his eye. Haku was off limits to anyone. He might be a stone cold killer but he was also an overprotective father. Even though Haku wasn't his biological daughter and even though he didn't show it, he cared for her like his own daughter.

Naruto watched them with an amused expression. It was so cute how Haku was all shy and Zabuza showing his overprotectiveness. This moment was ruined when Naruto sensed two huge malevolent signatures heading towards the village. Judging by the negative emotions rolling from them it was safe to say they were not here for a friendly visit. Even the 9 tails woke up when he sensed them. Naruto created a two clones one to go find Kakashi and another to go and warn the villagers. This action surprised Zabuza and Haku who prepared for a fight but when Naruto turned to a certain direction and bolted with his clones going in different directions they were confused. They decided to follow him but at a safe distance to see what he was up to.

Naruto speed towards his targets a million scenarios running in his mind. He only hoped that he would be able to hold them until the others arrived. A few minutes he broke through the bushes and landed in front of the two men and immediately he was put on edge. Inside the seal the 9 tails growled as he sensed the bloodlust those two were giving off. Naruto regarded the two and saw that they looked alike except for the eyes. One had red eyes and the other had black eyes. What caught his eyes were the scythes they carried. Okay these guys were definitely trouble and this was the one time he actually wished that Kakashi was on time. Off in the distance Zabuza cursed as he saw those two individuals.

"What the hell are those two doing here? This isn't good if the kid was to live then he should bug out of there!" Zabuza exclaimed in a panicked voice which surprised Haku. She asked what the problem was that got him so spooked.

"Those two are known as the Immortal Psycho brothers. They love to murder people for their weird god and yes they are freaking immortal. They can't die no matter what. Cut them to pieces their body parts will just reattach themselves. For now let's see what happens if things get hairy we will bail the kid out and scram."

Back to Naruto, he knew that there was going to be a fight and with how high their chakra levels were and the state he was in he could only hold them off. So he decided to buy time until Kakashi arrives. Maybe with him and Zabuza they could take these goons out.

D Naruto Residence

D Naruto got a chill down his spine before a rabbit pooped in the living room.

"Sir we got a problem. It seems the young master is about to face two unknown individuals who are strong and blood thirsty" the rabbit reported.

D Naruto materialised an ice mirror while the others came to see what was going on. He looked at the intruders and the moment he did he panicked.

"What the hell. I thought those cultist freaks were wiped out in this dimension and only one was left. Shit this isn't good and to make matters worse I can't interfere yet"

Shiro looked at his friend with a confused look "Dude what up? Are those guys really a cause for worry?" Hinata also wanted to know. Her crush (boyfriend after talking with Kaguya) was in trouble and she wanted to see if the situation really that serious.

"Yes they are. These guys almost killed my team back in our dimension. If I didn't arrive in time Team Freaks wouldn't exist anymore. To make it worse if it was a silver haired Jashinist, things would be easy but those with black hair are a pain to get rid of. Their immortality is just ridiculous, I mean destroy their heads they grow new ones, destroy them but leave a single cell they grow back. They are a nightmare to fight. They are very strong that's for sure and right know the kid isn't at the level to seal them away or handle his sword. If he could handle his sword there was no need for concern. For now we watch, I know he won't die but the question is what of his mental state."

The others digested what D Naruto said while Kurama cursed. She saw the damage the other members of Team Freaks sustained and those guys are no joke when it comes to fighting. She could only hope the kid come out stronger and not go down a dark path. All they had to do was watch and hope they are allowed to step in.

Back in the Land of Waves

"State your business what are you doing here" Naruto asked as he tried to buy time. He felt Zabuza's fear when he saw these two weirdoes and he knew if the could cause the Demon of the Mist to feel fear then they were dangerous. His training seals were already removed to allow his body to recover properly and the 9 tails was making his body pump adrenaline to ready him for the fight.

"We are just humble servants of our god on our way to the Wave village to liberate them from the shackles of despair they are in" said the one with red eyes said but the way he said it and the maniacal smile on his face made the statement mean something else as Naruto surmised.

"Well you are too late. Gato is dead and the village is free" replied Naruto.

"Mmmmh so Gato is dead. Well it doesn't matter the village is tainted by Gato's stench so we have to liberate their souls starting with you" said the one with black eyes before he rushed at Naruto with his scythe poised to cut Naruto in half.

Naruto was ready for this. He jumped back before taking out one of this transformed swords and engaged with the enemy. He was also preparing his Replacement Zone and Sensory Zone techniques. He would use his normal Replacement and rely on the Sensory zone. Combining them at the same time would be a recipe for disaster for him; he wasn't fully healed and adapted to use the combination.

After a few exchanges Naruto concluded that these guys were good with their weapons. It was only thanks to his technique that he was able to block the attacks if only barely. He was on the defence from the beginning despite his speed; he was fast without his seals but this guy was just as fast. It all happened in the blink of an eye and when they separated Naruto had a few tears in his clothes but noting to draw blood. So a straight up fight would work and since his opponent's partner wasn't interfering Naruto had to change tactics.

He took a couple of smoke bombs from his pouch and then threw them at his opponent's feet. His opponent was temporarily blinded but Naruto was not. He rushed into the smoke sword in hand. All you could hear were sounds of sword meeting flesh and after a minute the smoke finally clear and we see Naruto standing and his opponent with numerous cuts in vital spots and said sword was stuck in the heart of the opponent. Well it was a good tactic he took from Zabuza. Blind the enemy then take him out. When he gets home he will have to ask if his brother could teach him the hidden mist jutsu.

"Hehehe you are a fool Kappa for underestimating your opponent no matter how young they are. It will be an embarrassment for you" said Kaiba. He was impressed by the kid's tactic. He introduced himself and Naruto gave his name as he unsealed another sword. He rushed at Kaiba and just as was close he flashed (got tired of using replaced it's much cooler) and appeared above Kaiba then made a slash for his neck. Kaiba used his scythe to block the attack but underestimated the strength behind the slash. He was pushed back and Naruto used the momentum to unseal a second sword and decided that dual wielding would be best for this fight. He continued his onslaught not giving Kaiba a chance to recover sending slash after slash hoping that Kaiba would make a mistake and create an opening. His moment came when Kaiba overshot his attack after being frustrated by being kept on the defence. Naruto slipped under the attack before making a double slash one removing Kaiba's hand and the other cutting straight through his ribs.

Naruto was about to go for the head when he sensed an attack from behind. He flashed away from the attack and his eyes widened. There was Kappa alive and well no wound on his body. 'That's impossible I stabbed him in the heart he should be dead' Naruto screamed in his head.

"Uh oh this isn't good I know what they are. They are immortal and off the worst kind too. The lesser ones can't regenerate when they take damage but these ones can regenerate from anything as long as a part of them is left"

'You are kidding me. Then how am I going to kill them?'

"Obliterate them what else. And also don't let them get your blood they will curse you and it won't be pretty."

Kaiba joined his brother his wounds all healed up. He looked at the kid impressed. The kid was entertaining but it was time to get serious. Faster than before the brothers moved. Naruto only had a split second to flash before two scythes landed where he used to occupy. Naruto appeared a short distance away before taking out a few kunai and threw them at his opponents. He then made two hand signs and shouted "Shadow clone kunai" 5 kunai turned to 20 as they rained down on the immortals. The immortals easily blocked them but were taken by surprise when the kunai all exploded. The explosion was huge it caused a mini quake felt by people in the village and Kakashi who was running to his student's aid. The explosion made him pick up the pace as he feared for his student's life. In the trees Zabuza and Haku were blown back by the gusts of wind from the explosion. Well the kid seemed to be handling himself well but they would have to intervene and soon.

The dust cleared and the immortals were still standing but they were healing from the burns and loss of some body parts. Naruto rained more kunai and swords which exploded on his opponents hoping that they would be obliterated. In the end he was left with two swords and one kunai because he didn't prepare that much after he woke up. Well at least that got the job done. He couldn't feel his opponents' signatures. That was proven false when he felt the signature appear only this time they felt even more blood thirsty than ever. From the smoke he could hear a string of angry curses and as it cleared the brothers were still there but their skin was all black and white with a skull like markings on their faces.

The brothers shot at Naruto even faster than before. He was doing all he can to keep up with the brothers with his Sensory Zone but it seems that it was straining him with how fast they were moving. Their teamwork was also a problem; they worked well like a well-oiled machine. Even the clones he send at them were quickly dispatched. It was at this moment Zabuza and Haku decided to join the fight. Naruto was relieved to receive help. Zabuza took on Kappa while Haku and Naruto took on Kaiba. The fight was at a standstill until Naruto got nicked on the cheek and Kaiba licked his blood. This horrified the others as Kaiba started beating himself but Naruto also took damage. You see unlike the silver haired Jashinists that need to make a blood circle for their ritual to work these ones in their black mode only need to like blood. So attacking Kaiba would only hurt Naruto and without a circle it was hopeless. The only to stop it was to get them out of their black mode which involved pumping large amounts of chakra into them to disrupt the transformation or let him lick someone else's blood.

Naruto was taking too much damage and the 9 tails was doing all he can to keep the kid alive. Well Kaiba was having a field day with himself and Naruto. The punishment he was inflicting on himself was just gruesome and Naruto had to take it. He had to thank the villagers for the torture they put him through otherwise he would have passed out from the pain. Kappa was now defending Kaiba from the onslaught of Zabuza and Haku. They were doing all they can but the defence was tight. That was until Haku managed to slip past Kappa and mad a bee line for Kaiba. Zabuza tried to stop her but it was too late. It seemed that it was a trap and Haku got emotional and fell for it. Kaiba slashed Haku in the chest making a shallow cut.

Naruto watched in horror at what was happening from his now blurry vision. Haku was going to die and he was powerless to stop it. So he willed he battered body to move. He fought throw the pain just to stand. He watched as Kaiba drew the scythe closer to his mouth to lick Haku's blood. Naruto could take punishment but Haku couldn't. The 9 tails feeling his host's desperation send two tails' worth of chakra to him since that's all he could handle without passing out. He would help his host anyway he can. And that was it. What both host and tenant lacked. Cooperation and willingness. Naruto pumped his own chakra through his body just as the 9 tails gave his chakra to him. When the chakras met; instead of fighting for dominance like they were supposed to, they mixed with each other creating a golden chakra that covered Naruto (think of it like his chakra mode when he got control of the 9 tails' chakra in canon but only this one is in version 1 chakra clock) two tails swaying from behind him.

The scythe was almost on Kaiba' lips when Naruto disappeared in a golden flash the a fist impacted Kaiba's face shattering it at the same time a pulse of chakra was send through his body breaking his connection with Naruto. Everyone was surprised by what happened. What the hell happened to the kid? Zabuza was the only one how had an inkling happened to the kid. It seemed the kid was a Jinchuuriki but the energy didn't feel as violent and malevolent as Yagura's.

This was the situation Kakashi arrive to. Seeing his student handling all that power and moving at jounin level speeds (he is injured) was impressive and alarming at the same time not to mention how vicious he was to his opponents. Naruto was beating Kaiba to a bloody pulp. He would hit Kaiba launching him in a certain direction then flash and catch Kaiba mid-flight and hit him again and again. Kappa tried to intervene but suffered the same fate as his brother. The two were like pinballs in the air. The assault ended when the two brothers were launched straight into the ground creating a huge crater. Naruto landed a few metres away from the crater his clock disappearing from him. He was now dead tired and he couldn't move a muscle. It seems that he did more damage to himself again.

Kakashi ran to check on his student but Haku beat him to it and started checking on him while Naruto tried to hide the fact that she was hurting him just by touching him. Kakashi looked at Zabuza who relayed the situation to Kakashi. Kakashi was shocked that such beings existed and was even afraid because he didn't have anything in his arsenal to kill them with. They were interrupted by a string of curses coming from the crater. They turned to see the two immortals coming out of the crater their wound healing but at a slow pace. They looked pissed off than ever. Their movements were however halted when felt a huge KI from behind them. They turn and came face to face with D Naruto and he didn't look very happy. The area around them was freezing and they actually saw death staring them in the face

"Well looks like you guys roughed up my little bro. so let me be a good big bro and return the favour and I hope you can take it"
