Two Weeks Later; Somewhere in the Galaxy

"We've finally found you…"

Two men who wore black suits and shades like a pair of secret agents had cornered three girls with distinct pink hair at the top of a tall building, more specifically the edge where they had nowhere else to go.

The first of the girls had long hair, green eyes, and was dressed in a strange white and purple dress with a red tie, white gauntlets looking eerily like a robot's, and long white boots. Perhaps the piece that stood out the most from her dress was the strange hat she wore with swirls and bat wings.

The second had purple eyes and sported a twin-tailed look, as well as a unique pointed fang on the left side of her upper teeth. She wore a black and red dress with sleeves reaching below her armpits from her hands, thigh-high socks with black and red stripes and black shoes.

The third girl had short frizzy hair and purple eyes, with two small flowers on her head. She wore the same-looking dress as the second girl, but she had a green and black color scheme instead.

Another thing that was common between the three of them was a long, black tail at their back with a spade-shaped end.

"I never thought that you three would run away to this remote area…"

The girls took a step back, itching even closer to the edge that they could fall at any moment they decide to continue, but they didn't show any fear at all.

The man with black hair threw them an impassive look. "But now… this is the end of your game of tag, princesses."

"Now! If you three would, please come with us," spoke his blonde partner, taking a step closer towards them.

The three girls didn't say anything in return and only chose to look at each other, as if they were communicating with expressions alone, before they silently made their decision.

Town of Sainan

*BZZZZTTTTT!*

As soon as Rito felt his cellphone vibrating beside him, the young boy practically jumped out of bed and turned off his alarm, before quickly taking a run around his room to eliminate his own sleepiness and for a little warm-up for the day ahead.

Six months have passed since he got these spider powers and he couldn't have been happier than before.

While the life of a vigilante/hero could be exhausting at times, his life as a student in Sainan High more than made up for it because it was a place where he can just be himself. It was also the place where he can see his sweet and lovable girlfriend for like, half the day!

Also, there's also his life as an older brother to a wonderful younger sister. While it may seem like he had a dull life in his home, it was far from that with Mikan around.

After running around a few times, Rito fired a web line to the door and pulled it open, as he jogged towards the bathroom to wash his face. At the same time, he heard his sister's voice call out to him from downstairs.

"Rito! Breakfast is ready!"

"On my way down!"

After washing his face, Rito shot another web line to his door and closed it, before rushing downstairs where he saw Mikan about to take her seat on the table.

"Good to see you keeping your streak of waking up earlier than usual," the girl commented, seeing her brother come down on his own without having to go inside his room to wake him up personally.

"I'm not going to be late if I can help it. Every second I waste is a second that I can't be with Haruna-chan," he stated his resolve firmly, as if it was something that he cannot break under any circumstance.

"Rito, is Haruna-san really the only thing on your mind?" she teased, resting her face against her arm on top of the table. "You've been talking about her nonstop ever since school started again. Wait actually, you've been talking about her nonstop ever since you two have been a couple."

Rito took the seat opposite to his sister.

"You'll know when you experience it for yourself, Mikan. Besides, you were right about me back then. I was always a nervous wreck around other girls and deep down, I wanted to change that. Now that I'm with Haruna-chan, I can't go back to how I was back then!"

She shook her head in amusement. "Sure, sure, whatever you say. Let's just eat before the food gets cold."

"Okay!"

The two siblings proceeded to have breakfast, although it was more quiet than usual. As soon as he was done, Rito washed his own plate and utensils despite Mikan's insistence not to. He quickly headed back into his room to prepare himself for school.

After taking a bath and fixing himself up, Rito headed downstairs in his school uniform, all ready to go. He quickly saw the boxed lunch that was on the table, which he didn't hesitate to put in his bag too.

"Don't forget your lunch, Rito."

Mikan told her older brother, who was getting ready to leave for school as she was busy washing the dishes. Since she goes to her school later than Rito does, the girl has plenty of time to get some chores done before she leaves.

"Already here. I can't forget my little sister's delicious cooking now can I?" he teased as he lifted up his bag and prepared to leave.

Mikan rolled her eyes playfully. She honestly wondered where Rito got this newfound confidence from sometimes. As someone who grew up with him, she was well aware that her brother was a nervous wreck who could barely talk to girls without stuttering. But all of that changed several months ago, and look where he is now.

Of course, she was happy for him but at the same time, it felt that Rito's sudden change came out of nowhere, that it was almost strange.

But she chose to leave that issue alone and simply focus on the present.

"Jeez, if you're gonna say these things to someone, at least do it to your girlfriend."

Rito looked offended.

"What? Just because I got with Haruna-chan means I can't compliment you anymore? We may be a couple, but you're still my dear imouto, Mikan."

Mikan blushed at his words and because Rito was the one saying it, she knew that they were genuine and what he honestly felt. She quickly shook her head to snap out of it.

"Just get going, Rito… or you'll be late for school."

"Fine, fine. I'll see you later, my dear imouto."

Rito chuckled in amusement before he walked over towards the girl and gave her a headpat, ruffling his sister's hair with his fingers for a few seconds before walking away.

"B-Baka! What did you do that for?!" she exclaimed with a red face, stopping her actions for the moment to stare at Rito incredulously.

Rito only laughed at his sister's reaction, finding it really cute and adorable. Mikan always liked to tease and mess with him for some reason, but absolutely hated it when she's the victim of those attacks.

"I just felt like it! See you later, Mikan."

With that, Rito walked out of the house and closed the door behind him, leaving Mikan inside while she was deep in her thoughts.

"Rito really has changed… for the better. But I'm not sure if I'll ever get used to this…" she said to herself before focusing on the dishes again.

Rito was having a perfectly normal time on his way to school, just walking through the streets with a smile on his face. He was too lost in his own world, thinking about what could happen today in school, especially with regards to Haruna.

While his main reason for being excited was her, that's not to say that he didn't like going to school at all, though.

For all his faults, Saruyama was a loyal friend who never stopped supporting him when it came to Haruna. Yui was a good friend too and for some reason, she stopped bothering him about 'shameless' things a few months ago which was a surprise but not an unwelcome change.

Even Risa and a new classmate of theirs named Mio Sawada, whom despite their perverted actions towards the females of the class, it was still a fresh change in scenery from having to go out there and be a hero to everyone.

Hey, at least they left Haruna alone out of respect for their relationship. The poor girl would have definitely been at the mercy of their groping habit if they weren't a couple by now.

The boy suddenly had the idea to go over to his girlfriend's house to see if Haruna was still there. If she was, then they could walk together while going

Unfortunately, he wouldn't get the chance to when he passed by an alleyway and heard several voices in there.

"You know what you did! You better pay up or we'll resort to extreme measures. We don't mind taking out the trash today."

"I-I'm sorry, but like I said! I-I have no money today…! I will pay you back, I promise!"

"Nice try lying your way out of this, but you're not convincing anyone. We know you went to the hospital yesterday with our money, and you came out of there with absolutely nothing left."

Rito quickly hid himself from sight and observed the people who were in the alley.

There were four people; one looked like he was being held captive by the two guys and one was standing in front of him. The three were all dressed in casual clothes, while their poor victim was in a school uniform, which could only mean that he was a student and the people with him were extorting money from him.

Gritting his teeth, Rito immediately checked the time on his phone and let out a sigh of relief when he saw that it wasn't even close to their first period yet.

"Oh, well. I got time. I just have to wrap this up quickly!" he whispered to himself, taking off to find a safe spot for him to change clothes before it's too late.

"...That's because I had to pay for my grandfather's hospital bills! You know he's currently suffering from leukemia! I told you before borrowing the money!"

That statement earned the helpless student a punch to the stomach that made him cough up blood.

"And we gave you enough time to earn it back so you can return it. But here you are, empty-handed, without anything to give us."

"P-Please, just give me time… I swear, I'll return the money! I'll have it ready by the end of the week, I promise! Just give me a chance…!"

The leader of the three men who appear to be gangeters cracked his knuckles, ignoring the younger man's pleas.

"You knew the rules when we lent you that money, and you didn't even care. Why should we care about what you say now?"

The two men holding the student forced him to bow his head, making him look like he was begging for forgiveness.

"This won't take long, but it's gonna hurt a lot…"

"Hey, guys? I checked the time and saw that playing hours are over for you, so I'll have to carry you back into your cribs! Please don't be naughty kids?"

A new voice rang out in the alleyway, making them all turn their heads to the direction where they heard it. The three men were startled at the sight of Sainan's resident vigilante, hanging upside-down from a web above.

"Hello!" he waved his hand, before jumping down from his web and landing on the ground.

"So you're that spider guy we keep seeing in the news…" the leader spoke, narrowing his eyes at the masked hero's arrival. "You don't look so tough."

Spiderman chuckled. "I know, right? I've heard people say it's because of the costume, but it makes me stand out more! Plus, I quite like this…"

"Hey, boss! He's just an idiot, we can take him!"

"I wouldn't underestimate this guy. He did bring down a lot of criminals these past few months."

The two goons said, completely distracted by Spiderman's sudden appearance that they didn't notice their hostage had slipped from their grasp and slowly crawled away while making sure to stay completely quiet. He even sent a grateful look towards Spiderman, which the hero noticed.

"Aw, it's nice to see that I have a fan here! I'm getting tired of guys not knowing who I am already," said Rito, rubbing the back of his head in embarrassment.

Spiderman's nonchalant attitude was enough to get under the men's skin, making them growl as a sign of their growing anger. Their leader quickly saw their expressions, and he sent them a glare to shut them up.

"Can it, you two. Just follow my lead and leave no openings for him. The guys he's fought are just normal thugs, but he's never gone up against three experienced fighters before."

Rito was a bit surprised upon learning that fact. It's true, the people he had faced up until now knew street-brawling at best, and none of them stood a chance against him. If these guys are better than mere thugs at fighting, then it might be a challenge to beat them…

Eh, it doesn't matter. With his spider-sense, he'll see every attack coming his way and be able to dodge it before retaliating with his own moves.

"Look, I'm just going to be quick with this because I don't want to be late for something important. Are you or are you not going to give up?" Spiderman asked, waiting for the three to answer like the gentleman he was.

"You must be stupid, thinking you can interfere in our business without consequences," the lead gangster snarked, almost laughing at the vigilante's idiocy. "When you mess with the family, you get attacked by the family. Bet you didn't know that, did you, Spiderman?"

"Have it your way," Rito sighed, shaking his head before adopting a loose fighting stance. "Just so you know, I tried being nice."

"Oh, yeah? Then taste this, you bug!"

One of the goons rushed forward towards the young hero, his arm drawing back and preparing for a punch, completely unaware of the smirk that Rito had underneath his mask.

This wouldn't even be a fight, it would be a massacre.

Later on during lunchtime, Rito ate lunch with his girlfriend and two other girls, which was quite rare because they're usually alone at a table without anyone else.

This time, though, Haruna asked him if he was fine with her friends joining them for lunch.

Of course, being the kind gentleman that he was, Rito just agreed and welcomed both Risa and Mio into their table. He knew deep down that their relationship was likely causing Haruna to spend less time with her friends, and this was the only thing he could do to make up for that.

He made sure to stay quiet while his girlfriend talked with her friends, knowing that he would get to spend time with her afterwards anyway.

However, he wasn't prepared for Haruna suddenly including him in their conversation, particularly when she asked him about joining a club.

"Rito-kun, are you sure you don't want to join a club? Maybe it would be for the best if you join one so you won't have to sit around in the bleachers while I—"

"There's no need, Haruna-chan. I'm perfectly fine as I am. Plus, since I'm free, I'll be able to cheer for you whenever you're playing with your club!"

He smiled at her as he said those words, while mentally apologizing for brushing a topic like this aside.

It's not that he didn't want to join. As a matter of fact, maybe it would be a good move, instead of letting his high school life be a dull one. However, his double life as a masked hero to the people of the town was a great hindrance to that, and Rito knew he wouldn't be able to pull it off.

Balancing school, club activities, and fighting crime would be too much for him.

"You heard the guy, Haruna-chan! Yuuki would rather cheer for you than join a club like you. Isn't that really sweet of him?" Risa spoke, flashing her friend a teasing grin at the end.

Releasing a sigh of defeat, Haruna could only smile after hearing her boyfriend's answer. "I-I guess… Rito-kun is just that kind and gentle to other people. I'm very lucky to have him by my side."

Seeing that expression on her face almost made Rito reconsider his answer, but he simply chose to give her a side-hug instead. Before he could do that, however, the next words he heard from Risa's mouth made him freeze.

"Yeah, he's kinda like Spiderman!"

Rito's eyes widened as he turned his head slowly towards Risa and tried his best not to look nervous, lest he risk his secret identity being exposed or make them suspicious of him.

"Uh, Momioka-san… would you mind repeating what you just said…?"

Risa looked at him, retaining the same teasing expression on her face. "...that you're just like Spiderman?"

The boy was doing his best to stop himself from sweating nervously.

"W-W-What makes you think I'm like him?"

"Oh, you know… you're both really good people and you help out everyone as much as you can!" she teased.

"Oh. Hahahaha… I… suppose that's true," Rito rubbed the back of his head in embarrassment, while also feeling immensely relieved that his secret was safe. "Phew… I almost thought she was on to me…"

"I do wonder what he's like under that mask. Everyone says that he's just a kid because he's small, but I kinda doubt it. Can a kid really do the things he does? Like, jumping off buildings and fighting criminals and all that… what do you think, Haruna?"

"Oh, me?! Uhm…" "I don't think that Spiderman is actually a kid… but even if he was, then there has to be a reason why he can do all kinds of amazing things."

"Oh, I actually have a theory about him," said Mio Sawada, a twin-tailed classmate of theirs with dark brown hair who was also Haruna's friend. "I think Spiderman is actually a kid who got bitten by a mysterious spider, which gave him the powers of a real spider and he decided to be a superhero."

Mio pushed up her glasses as they shone in the sunlight, making her look like some kind of intelligent mastermind from an anime.

"Sawada-san's not far from the truth," Rito sweat-dropped, choosing not to say anything but kept his attention towards them just in case.

Haruna blushed deeply, before shutting her eyes tightly out of embarrassment. "Mio, if that were true, then wouldn't Spiderman shoot his webs out of… uhm, h-h-h-his… ugh, it's too embarrassing to say!"

"Ugh, why did you have to say that? Now my imagination's going to run wild!" Risa groaned, holding her head with both hands as she tried to eliminate that image from her mind.

Mio blinked a few times, before realization struck her. Even she looked uncomfortable with that image now implanted in her mind.

"Oh… that's… a fair point, Haruna-chan."

Rito chose to hide his face from the girls this time, out of pure embarrassment because he actually tried doing that particular thing once but fortunately, it didn't work.

"I'm sure glad that's not the case for me…"

While Mio and Haruna were victims of their own imaginations, Risa shook her head furiously in an attempt to forget about what Haruna said, which managed to work.

"Anyway! If I ever get to see Spiderman for myself, I'm gonna take off that mask of his and see what he's like."

"W-What? Why would you do that?" asked Haruna in confusion, recovering from her mistake of talking about something that shouldn't be talked about.

Risa shrugged. "Come on, I already said it. He can do things that normal people aren't capable of doing, which should mean that he's packing a lot under that mask and costume of his~"

Haruna sent her a little frown. "Risa, I have a feeling that you're just thinking of groping him when you get the chance…"

"Well, I won't deny it. I feel really tempted to~" the perverted girl grinned, before remembering that there was actually a boy with them on the table. She quickly sent a slightly apologetic look towards Rito. "Oh. Sorry that you're hearing all of this, Yuuki."

"I-It's okay. I'm not that bothered by it anymore," he reassured her, although his thoughts were a completely different story from hearing Risa's intentions. "I'm not sure how to feel about Momioka-san saying these things in front of me…"

Rito decided it would be for the best if he stays away from the girl while he's under the mask.

"I'm home…" Rito called out to his younger sister as he walked inside.

Walking past the living room, he saw Mikan sitting on the couch while eating ice cream and watching TV. She quickly noticed his presence as he walked by, and sent a nod in his direction.

"Welcome home, Rito. Otou-san said he won't be home again anytime this week, but he'll try to if he finds time."

"That's sooner than what I expected…" he chuckled, feeling amused at the thought of their father returning home this soon, especially considering the fact that he hasn't done such a thing in, like, forever. "The last time he was here was six months ago, the day after I graduated!"

"I know, I was surprised too," Mikan laughed along with him for a good while, before pointing to the dinner table afterwards. "Dinner's already done, I'll just wait for you to change then we can eat."

"I'll be there in a minute," he smiled, before heading up the stairs to change.

After changing into a set of more comfortable clothes, Rito joined Mikan for dinner and enjoyed a delicious meal with his sister as they talked about what happened during their time in school. Well, Rito more than Mikan because the girl was too embarrassed to reveal anything regarding her school activities for some reason.

When they were done eating, Mikan started washing the dishes while Rito went back to his room and grabbed his phone, before dialing a familiar number.

Rito waited for the other person to answer and when she did, he smiled brightly as he spoke. "Hey, Haruna-chan!"

"Rito-kun, is something wrong?"

"Nothing's wrong, but I want to ask you if you'd like to walk to school together tomorrow? We haven't done that yet and… I want to spend more time with you."

The boy could hear her giggling on the other side. "Even though we already spend a lot of time in school?"

"But that only happens when we get there earlier than usual and during lunchtime," he calmly retorted, sitting on his bed and then smiling fondly. "Besides, is it wrong for me to want to spend time with my cute girlfriend?"

Haruna only chuckled again upon hearing his answer, before giving him her own. "Sure! I'd love to walk with you, Rito-kun!"

"Awesome!" he cheered, a big smile spreading across his face. "What do you say we meet up at the intersection near my house?"

Ever since they started dating, both Rito and Haruna have been to each other's homes several times through the months that followed. They knew how to get to the other's house by now, as well as the places nearby, so Haruna knew exactly what intersection he was talking about.

"Okay. I'll see you tomorrow, Rito-kun."

"You too, Haruna-chan. Have a good sleep!"

With that, Rito ended the call and turned off his phone, before grabbing his towel and a brand new set of clothes. He then went to the bathroom and closed the door, before putting up a sign that said 'In use'.

Smiling at the tub of steaming water that he prepared beforehand, Rito took off his clothes and dipped himself into the bath. A deep sigh of satisfaction left his mouth as he let himself relax.

"After another long day of being in school and fighting criminals, this is what I need…"

All of a sudden, his smile then disappeared and was replaced with a more serious expression.

"Six months have passed since I got these powers, and I've gotten used to them at this point. But I still don't have any leads on Professor Monster or the Iron Cross Army… even though they're the ones I should be focusing on…"

Even though Rito was perfectly happy and content with his current life, he knew that the true threat was still out there. Everyday, the boy kept on reminding himself that he had these powers in order to fight against an evil alien and his army so that he wouldn't forget why he had them in the first place.

"I mean, yeah. They're aliens and I'm just a normal human with powers. It's not like I can fly up in outer space on a spaceship and look for them. Plus, that would just be ridiculous. I can't leave Mikan and Haruna-chan here and I don't even have a spaceship."

The boy laughed in amusement at the thought of having a spaceship that he can use to fly into space and find the Iron Cross Army. If only that was true and he did have some kind of spaceship to use… it still came as a bad idea for Rito.

"Chasing them in space would be suicide too. That's what Garia-san did when he tried to fight against Professor Monster for what he did to Planet Spider, and look at how that turned out."

As he washed his body with soap and water, a serious look crossed his face again. With no way to safely look for Professor Monster and his army out in the cosmos, Rito knew that he had to stay here and wait for the aliens to notice his planet.

"I have no choice but to stay here and wait for them to come to Earth, I guess. Sooner or later, the Iron Cross Army should notice my planet and plan to take over it too. When that happens, that'll be the time for me to make my move and fight against them."

Rito had no idea how long such a thing would take, but it was the only viable plan that he had at the moment.

All he could do… was wait.

"Still, it wouldn't hurt to get some leads on them and where they are right now… heh, maybe if I knew another alien like Garia-san then I'll at least have a clue on their whereabouts…"

Having finished with his bath, Rito stood up and removed himself from the tub before using a towel to cover his lower body. As he walked towards the door, he then felt a sharp tingle at the back of his head, indicating the activation of his spider-sense.

Rito quickly turned around, a look of alarm on his face from danger that might be approaching. He had no idea what kind of danger awaits him in a bathroom of all places, but his spider-sense has never let him down before.

"Where could it be coming fro—" the boy thought to himself, only to get cut off when a beam of bright light suddenly flashed right above him.

Turning away slightly, he thought that it was only the bathroom light, but he was quickly proven wrong when out of nowhere, three different girls suddenly appeared right above him.

Rito was too dumbstruck to even do anything, causing the three girls to crash on top of him as he fell to the floor.

Fortunately, the boy wasn't hurt badly from the fall but his eyes did widen when he realized what happened. Right above him were three pink-haired girls, and his face was completely buried in the naked chest of one of them, making him unable to speak.

Rito's face became completely red in embarrassment, which was exactly how he used to be in the past.

"WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING?! WHY IS THERE A NAKED GIRL ON TOP OF ME?!" he screamed in his mind and tried to push this girl off of him, only to realize that his hands were buried under something as well.

The boy looked to his left and right side, where his face began to emit steam upon seeing two other naked girls, and both his hands had ended up grabbing one of their breasts.

"What did I just get myself into…?" Rito said in his thoughts, as he began to where these girls came from and how exactly did they end up here.

In his house's bathroom, of all places.
