Chapter 24

Previously

D Naruto just sighed. "There is a condition for those two to activate. They each activate separately but they serve the same purpose. Their purpose is to stop you when you are not in the right state of mind and you are about to release the 9 tails" D Naruto flinched as he saw the change in Naruto's face as he put the pieces together.

He had finished editing the seal and hacking it so he and the others went into the cage with the 9 tails as Naruto released the seal.

"Okay guys whatever happens do not interfere it's his problem to face" D Naruto said as the 9 tails made himself comfortable intending to watch even though he wanted to give those two a piece of his mind. Zabuza and Shiro looked confused but they just nodded as Naruto removed the paper written SEAL and suddenly two people tackled him away from the gate.

Zabuza looked at them in shock and he summed up the situation like this.

"Well shit"

Now

Zabuza blinked as he saw two people he thought were long dead. This shouldn't be possible and what the hell were they doing here in the seal anyway. There in front of them were the famous Kushina Uzumaki and Minato Namikaze. They were famous as well as feared each in his or her own way. Zabuza could hear the 9 tails growl as he saw them but only for a moment before he put his head on his front paws and watched the drama unfold.

"Okay what is going on here? How are they here they are supposed to be dead!" Zabuza shouted pointing to the two people who just tackled Naruto.

"Oh those are just chakra imprints they left in the seal" D Naruto replied as he too watched. He only hoped the kid doesn't go berserk when he interacts with them he has a lot of pant up anger and accessing the 'full' power of the 9 tails in that state is a bad idea.

"What are they doing here?" Zabuza asked wanting more clarity.

"They are security features that activate when Naruto goes nuts going up to all 9 tails or when he or someone opens the seal" D Naruto replied. Zabuza just nodded as he settled for watching. He had an idea who they were to Naruto and how Naruto felt about them. As a ninja he can understand but the new him he wouldn't do that to his daughter even if it was the only way.

With Naruto

Naruto was almost hyperventilating as he saw the two people he didn't want to talk to. The two people who brought him into this world only to damn him to a life of misery. Oh he wanted to go ballistic and just lash out at them and vent out his frustration but he realised something. These were chakra imprints so they don't feel pain plus they are not the real thing so it's not worth it. So he adopted a face of indifference.

"Would you please get off me" Naruto said in a low and monotone voice that would make a certain white haired neko proud. D Naruto's group winced at the one while Kushina and Minato got off of him and looked at him sheepishly not at all noticing the change in tone or demeanour.

"Minato-kun what happened I thought we were supposed to trigger separately "asked Kushina as she looked her husband.

"I don't know but we are here now" said Minato as he looked at Naruto and smiled. Looking at his son he was happy to see that Naruto had grown up well. He had his hair and his mother's looks and he looked healthy meaning he was well taken care of. Doing this he was totally ignoring the 9 tails and the other beings in the seal who shouldn't be there at all.

Kushina looked at her son and couldn't help but gush at how cute Naruto looked. (Please note that whenever Naruto enters the seal he is not the short orange jumpsuit wearing shrimp but he is his real self) He looked so handsome she could only hazard that he had a lot of fan girls. So she did what any mother would do after being reunited with her son if only being temporary. She launched herself at him.

"NAAARUU-CHAAAN" this got a sweat drop from the individuals in the seal. As for Naruto he simply dodged the red headed missile making it splash into the water. Minato and the now drenched Kushina looked surprised at this action.

As for Naruto he decided again act like what he did with Jiraiya.

"Who are you and what are you doing here?" he asked in a cold tone that froze the two. What did he mean by that? Does he not know who they are to him? And what is he doing in the seal anyway? All these questions were ragging in their minds as they saw the monotone look that Naruto dawned.

"What do you mean sweetie we are your parents well chakra imprints of them anyway. Did anyone not tell you" Kushina answered nervously as she looked at the unchanging face of her son. She expected him to burst into tears and run and hug her but that didn't happen. Instead all they got was a monotone look as well as a well hidden defensive posture which raised red flags in their minds.

"No nobody told me anything. I mean I am an orphan whose parents are unknown who lived in an orphanage until the age of 5 and was kicked out only to be given a rundown apartment where he lived ALONE until recently. And why would they bother to tell me anything. I am just a demon brat after all" Naruto replied. If only they were the real deal he wanted to judge how they would react and the emotions they would display. Oh how badly he wanted to vent out his frustration but it's not the same. Well might as well take some weight off.

Hearing Naruto's brief recount of his life Kushina and Minato froze as they tried to figure out what the heck happened. They had a lot of friends who could have taken care of Naruto plus there was Jiraiya and the Hokage what the heck happened. They should have been there for Naruto and told him about them. They also had a house for goodness sake and they are sure that it survived in the attack. So why was Naruto living in a rundown apartment and alone for goodness sake. Who in their right mind lets a 5 year old live alone? And what's with the demon brat title? So many questions that need answers and so little time.

"Wait what do you mean living alone in a rundown apartment. Surely you are joking right. I mean we had a house and I am pretty sure it survived the Kyuubi's attack. Plus Jiraiya was the one who is supposed to take care of you along with Mikoto Uchiha" Minato replied as he was looking for further clarity as to what happened. Kushina was quietly shaking as she noticed something in Naruto' story that made her fear for the worst.

"I am sorry to say but Mikoto along with the Uchiha were killed by Itachi so she wasn't around. But she did visit me a lot when I was in the orphanage. As for Jiraiya I don't know what his deal is but I just met him a few minutes ago for the first time in my life" Naruto replied as he observed their reactions. It seems they were pretty shaken by what they heard.

Both parents were shaken to hear that one of their close friends was dead as was her entire clan. Well they were dead too so …. It didn't make sense what Itachi did and he couldn't take on the entire clan alone. But what got them angry was Jiraiya. How could he not be there for his godchild at all until today? One way or the other they will get their hands on him and when they do they will kill him even if he is dead they will make him deader (is that even possible).

"Naruto what did you mean by demon brat" Kushina asked. All other shocking news she put it aside. This was the most important piece she wanted answered although she already knew the answer.

"It means just that. You would know wouldn't you" at this Kushina's eyes widened. Of course the curse of every jinchuuriki. Being hated for simply being a prison for the tailed beasts. She feared that this would happen to him. Oh why didn't she try harder to get the 9 tails sealed in her? She looked at her husband with tears flowing from her eyes.

"I told you. I told you this would happen but you didn't listen. Our child suffered the stigma of being a jinchuuriki because of your decision. He should have had a t least a normal childhood but no you decided to seal that beast in him. I am willing to bet they isolated him because of that!" Kushina shouted at the shocked Minato. She wanted to beat the crap out of him but he was a chakra imprint so he won't feel a thing. Her baby suffered a lot all because she wasn't strong enough to stop her husband from damning her son.

Minato was at a loss for words. He knew that Kushina was feared because of the beast sealed in her but because it was a well-kept secret only known by a select few she was safe well most of the time. So how could this happen to Naruto his son to boot? He was the son of a Kage so he should have had a good life and respect from the village. What the heck had the village become?

"I am sorry Kushina but it was the only way. We didn't know what would have happened if we resealed the beast in you. But how did Naruto know you were a jinchuuriki" Minato asked. Yah he sure was sharp to catch on to that intentional slip up. Kushina just blinked her earlier anger drained from her. If Naruto knew she was a jinchuuriki then there was a high chance of him knowing

"That you are my parents. Yah knew who you were all along. Honestly if it wasn't for a certain event I might have not known who my parents are. I also know a lot of things thanks to my new caretaker like what happened the night I was born. I saw all of it and let me tell you I was pissed off for the most part. How can I not be after finding out that my parents love their village more than they love their own child? You say that there was no other choice well that's a lie and you know it. She basically volunteered to have the 9 tails resealed in her and you refused. Moreover you could have used any shinobi to seal the 9 tails in but no you used an innocent child that just drew its first breath. There are a number of seals you could have used but you wanted to create a weapon for the village like what the other villages did. And you (pointing at Kushina) how can you help make a seal like that knowing that some child will be used as a weapon?" Naruto ranted letting a lot of his pant up anger out.

"What's worse is that parents are supposed to protect their children not add more problems to them. You are great seal masters and yet none of you ever thought to add your chakra to protect me or appear at my time of need. There were a lot of times I needed a parent to protect me but you weren't there. All you thought of was to protect the world from me. Appearing at the time when I become a threat to the world. Seriously the Suna shinobi managed to do that with Gaara why not you. Right now his mother is protecting him from the grave. Come on wouldn't it have been cool if Chakra Chains appear around me to protect me? But no you made yourselves security features.

Way to show some confidence in me by the way. Oh by the way did I tell you that by sealing the 9 tails in me you basically placed the biggest bull's eye on me. Not only do I have to deal with your rouge Uchiha but I also have to deal with a group of S rank criminals. And guess what they have two sharingan users and a freaking rinnegan user. So I am basically screwed if they come after me now not to mention the village would not survive the attack. So thanks a lot for adding more problems for me."

Both parents listened and looked down in shame. They knew they messed up and they messed up big time. As a Kage Minato thought what he did was right but after Naruto's explanation the father side of him knew that he messed up. He should have done what Kushina said and maybe they would have survived to take care of their son or at least one of them would have survived.

As for Kushina she was also having a lot of turbulent emotion in her head the most prominent being regret and the other anger. Regret that she didn't fight harder for her son. Regret that she helped design a seal that would turn a child into a weapon. She was also angry at herself for being week and stupid. She was angry at her husband for turning her child into a weapon. She was also angry with the village for what they did to her child. But there was nothing she can do about it now it's too late. All she can hope for was that some part of Naruto could forgive them for what they did.

"Naruto we are so sorry for what we did to you. No amount of words can atone for the horrible mistake that we committed. It seemed right at the time but now that we see it from your perspective it was a big mistake. Please forgive us" Minato said as he bowed his head along with Kushina. They waited for his answer both dreading what it could be. Naruto just sighed as he saw the regret written on their faces.

For a long time he wanted to just proclaim that they were not his parents. He could disown them as his parents for what they did to him but then what. Would that make him feel better that he hurt others as revenge. Certainly not. That would make him worse than them.

"There is nothing I can do about the blood running through my veins. Whether I like it or not you are my parents I cannot change that. My life was a living hell until recently. If it wasn't for me being naïve I could have ended up going insane. But someone wise told me this, let go of the past or it will keep hounding you. He also told me to look at the positive instead of the negative. If it wasn't for your mistake I wouldn't have met my brother, if it wasn't for your mistake I wouldn't have been able to save Zabuza and Haku. I wouldn't have been as strong as I am right now. If it wasn't for you Kyuubi would be stuck in some brat abusing his power right now and I wouldn't have met a cool and awesome partner.

You made a mistake. Yes its part of being human we all make mistakes. At some point I will also make mistakes and at some point I will need forgiveness too. So in order for me to be forgiven I will also need to forgive. There are times when we think to forgive like I did and there are times when we have to act. Right now for me I need freedom from the darkness growing in me so I choose to forgive. It will take some time before I fully accept you as my parents but as of now I can say there is no resentment towards you."

After letting everything go he felt free. The darkness in him that has been suffocating him had greatly subsided. He took a few breaths of fresh air before letting a satisfied sigh. So this is what being free from your anger feels like. It's not entirely gone but with time he will let it all go.

D Naruto and the others were smiling at how much Naruto had grown for him to let go of his hatred like that. Kyuubi just nodded at the level of maturity the kid displayed. Maybe just maybe it was also time for him to let go of his hatred. He was also feeling funny at being called cool and awesome. It seems the kid regarded him as a good thing in his life even though he was more of a curse.

Minato and Kushina couldn't believe it. They though he was going to flat out reject them but here he was saying that he forgive them. Even though he does not consider them his parents yet they felt happy that he would give them a chance. Feeling their chakra beginning to fade for some strange reason they quickly gave Naruto so some advice more like Kushina did before they faded away smiling lovely at their son.

After the chakra imprints disappeared Naruto looked to his group to see them smiling at him. So he went on to remove the seal opening the gate. As he did the seal began to change. Gone was the depressing sewer look. It was replaced by a beautiful forest with a huge lake on the other side.

Walking to his brother, D Naruto asked. "So how are you feeling?"

"I am feeling a lot better actually. You planned this didn't you?"

"Yah I began noticing you were moody lately plus using more of his chakra in that state would guarantee you going berserk and turning into a rage monster hehehe" D Naruto replied.

"Well kid look who finally grew up. I like what done with the place" Zabuza said as he admired the scenery.

"Yah I agree. Now I can actually take a nap in a dry place. You have my respect kid and the name is Kurama by the way (sorry couldn't find another name)" Kyuubi said as he stretched before finding a nice place where he promptly dropped and went back to sleep. The others just sweat dropped before they left the seal.

Outside the seal

"Okay for now we have dealt with your darkness. So what we will do is to help you two get in synch when using Kurama's chakra. We will start from the bottom and work our way up so you can get used to it plus get a handle on control. So create some clones so we can assigned them what we need them to learn" Naruto created a hundred clones which were divided into ten groups each being given a task to complete.

Naruto remained with the other as he asked a few questions. "So why did they ran out of chakra. I know they still had a few minutes" Naruto asked referring to the chakra imprints that suspiciously ran out of chakra.

"Oh those two. We will need them later on. Don't worry its nothing sinister or anything. Let's just say that they will help save time and let's leave it at that" yah there we go with his brother being cryptic again. Honestly can't he just straight out say something instead of leaving it to come as a surprise.

"Okay how about making the contract"

"Kid you got a good eye spotting them in the forest of death. They will make a good addition to your family kid they are loyal. Trust me I met them and they can't wait for the contract to be draw and get their own realm. So make two clone that I will teach while you play with Zabuza" Naruto made two clone which went with D Naruto. He was left with a grinning Zabuza with his executioner's blade. Crap this is going to hurt a lot.

So Naruto continued in his training as he prepared not for the exams oh he was pretty well prepared enough to beat the crap out of anyone there. No he was preparing for the mission he and his girls will take after they leave as well as facing off against the Akatsuki. They were taking the training slow so that Naruto can pass a stage when he had fully mastered the concept. Leaving things half done is the best recipe for disaster in the future. He was progressing nicely in his physical strength and speed. Without weights he could outclass Lee without weights and that's when he is not augmenting himself with chakra. His strength had also increased tremendously enough to make him a mini-Tsunade. Those training seals can do wonders.

In terms of sealing he was proud to say he was now level 6 by his brother's standards. This means that according to their world's standards he was somewhere in mid level 8. He was now making some seals that would help him in battle too. Plus he also started making a seal to replace his Replacement Zone. The seal would work much like the Flying Thunder God but with a few tweaks to make it even better.

Regarding his affinities which are fire, water and wind he was working on control for now. The first stages of each affinity he passed and mastered. While he was working on control he was also working on low level jutsu except a few S rank ones which he learnt just in case.

His training month was going smoothly. This was the second week and so far he had no problems. Jiraiya hadn't come to bother him which he greatly appreciated and the Hyuuga were silent. To top it off the council was silent and this made him very happy. Those guys don't know what they want. They summon him and try to kiss his ass and when it doesn't work they straight up insult him. It was really confusing to say the least. Danzo was also silent together with his ROOT. He was not probing the shrine's defences which usually occurred twice a week. Ever since the Easter Bunny incident he had gone off the grid and moved his base somewhere (although they already knew where the base was).

His musings were interrupted when he was notified by Icarus that someone had requested him at the front gate. Grumbling to himself he went to the front gate to see Anko waiting for him. Now this surprised. What was she doing here anyway? he tried to think of what she would want from him. Oh he kinda promised to remove her curse seal. How could he forget such an important promise? In his defence he was pretty occupied with training so it's not his fault hehehe.

Anko seeing Naruto brightened up as she gave him a huge smile.

"Hey brat good to see you. How goes the training?" Anko asked with a grin. Naruto's brow just twitched at being called brat.

"I am doing well Anko plus my training is going great. You better watch out for I am going to clean up the competition" Naruto said as he held his fist into the air.

"Confident are we. That's good. You better win for I am putting my money on you. And make it fun while you are at it like what you did during the preliminaries hehehe that was so hilarious" Anko said as she handed Naruto a piece of paper which he identified as a check and it had a lot of zeros.

Turns out Chibi Kakashi clips was a real hit and it made a lot of money. Anko was thinking about how much dango she can buy with her cut and judging by the drool coming out of her mouth she was already in Lala land. She then told (ordered) Naruto to make another instalment to which he complied. No need to end up with a bunch of snakes in your pants.

So they entered the guest part of the shrine were they met a henged D Naruto. No need for Anko to go crazy like the one in his dimension did after seeing his new look. D Naruto looked at the seal for a few seconds before he began to think of what to do. In the end he just removed the piece of the pedo's soul from the seal then placed a filter and a limiter to the seal. So as of that moment Anko became the first and hopefully last artificial Sage.

The girl was so happy after she heard that she was free and the upgrade that she had. She turned to properly thank the seal master in an Ankoish way but the guy was already gone. So she settled for Naruto. The poor boy had to run for his life and pants.

After the fiasco Anko left with a pout at having failed to catch Naruto. D Naruto was discussing issues to do with Naruto's training when D Naruto thought of something.

"By the way there is a skill I want to teach you it's really handy. It's a skill that needs someone with high chakra reserves as well as excellent control of which you possess both" D Naruto said to Naruto.

"Oh teach me teach me" Naruto said excited eliciting a chuckle from D Naruto.

"It's a very simple skill well to us anyway. In battle there are jutsu that need the user to project his chakra onto the victim for it to work. For example the Nara's shadows technique, the Yamanaka's mind transfer jutsu, the Uchiha's sharingan genjutsu and so on. These techniques are powerful but they have a few fatal weaknesses. What if I tell you that you can turn these jutsu against the user hehehe. So I am going to teach you the Hijack Jutsu and let me tell you it's a real pain in the ass for the poor victims of course hehehe" D Naruto chuckled evilly as he remembered the fun times when he used that justu.

It was the third week and still Naruto continued to train aiming to get even stronger. He wanted to be strong enough to protect those he loved. And speaking of them the girls were still training coming back in the evening. He didn't get the details of their training but from what he heard it was insane. I mean he heard Haku grumble about being left in a volcano for half a day and Hinata was complaining about tracking and deflecting something thousand kunai for thirty straight minutes. It seems Kaguya and Kurama had decided to step up their training which he appreciated even though he was worried they would go overboard.

But there was one issue that was getting on the guys' nerves and that was Miya. And what was our lovable former Landlady doing that got on their nerves. Well it's simple Hannyas. Miya was a master of the Hannya masks and she could whip them up to get them inline when they are doing something stupid. But these past few weeks she was throwing those things around like crazy. One moment she was smiling and the next she was going all Hannya.

Like now. We find Zabuza, Naruto and Shiro all huddling in a corner several hannya masks surrounding them licking a lot of dark miasma. They have been huddling like this for a while know while Miya was freaking out.

"Come on Miya calm down he is going to be fine. No one in their right mind would try to kidnap him. He will be back sooner than you think" Kurama tried to calm the woman down. Honestly she was also starting to get affected by those hannyas with how intense they 'stare' at you. It was creepy as hell. I mean you try to have a staring contest with those things only to realise they don't have any eyes.

Miya calmed down a little before she requested some food from the boys "Will you be good boys and make me a fishyonnaise salad" she said with a creepy smile.

"A what now" Zabuza asked confused having forgotten the Hannya were there for a moment. What the heck was with her ordering those ridiculous and gross food if you call it that.

"She means bring her some fish and mayonnaise" Kaguya replied. How on earth was she able to interpret that.

Bringing the requested items Miya proceeded to put the fish in a plate before pouring a ridiculous amount of Mayo on the fish. It was basically eating mayo only. Should have stopped her from watching Gintama now she has Hijikata's taste for mayo. It was really disgusting her eat that staff. And those mood swings were so confusing.

"Man it's like she is pregnant or something" Shiro commented while he tried to forget what he was seeing. He received an 'are you serious' look from Kaguya and Kurama before he realised he lived through this a few times in his life. His brain just erased the pictures because of how traumatic they were.

"Oh boy we are going to be in for a rough ride for a few months" Shiro said whiter than usual. Zabuza and Naruto also paled before they started packing. A few days they can survive but a few months no way. They are getting out of this house.

"Hehehe good to know I am not the only one with weird pregnancy cravings" Kurama said as she watched Miya eat whatever it was she was now eating while worrying about D Naruto.

And what happened to him. He disappeared yet again. The others knew he was called to help out in another dimension but Miya was making a big deal out of things.

In the Hero Dimension

D Naruto was looking at the guardians of the dimension all wearing various hero costumes. He just sweat dropped. Shouldn't they be wearing something regal or formal not spandexvile and capes.

"Well at least they didn't summon me into some woman's bed"

And done

When I wrote the confrontation it was very hard to get everything out. I left a lot of things Naruto would have ranted about like how Minato took half of the Kyuubi instead of taking the entire beast into the Shinigami's stomach which is much safer than creating a jinchuuriki. I mean Minato knew the masked man was going to come for the Kyuubi so in order to keep the Kyuubi safe he would have taken it with him rather than leaving HALF of its power in a jinchuuriki.

So Next chapter D Naruto brings another girl (sorry I couldn't resist she is so cute) and the finals of the chunin exams begin.
