Plot: When Luz was one year old, on her birthday, a portal accidentally opens up in her baby room while she was about to wash her, sending her baby while still in the crib to the throne of the Emperor of the Boiling Isles, Belos. The baby's mother Camila Noceda witnesses the portal and for the next twelve years has tried to find her daughter. While her daughter, Luz Noceda, or as she is secretly known as Princess Luz Belos, adopted daughter of Emperor Belos.
When Luz became thirteen on her birthday, she asks her father if she could go camping outside the walls of the castle that she has grown up in for the last thirteen/twelve years. Belos was about to refuse, but Luz convinced him that if she stayed outside for the next forty-eight hours without incident or without her calling him or any of the guards for help then she would be able to go to Hexside school for Witches, but if she fails then she would continue to be homeschooled by the nine coven heads without question. Belos agrees to this. Without neither of them knowing, a battle takes place in the human realm and a portal opens up where the pod containing the Omnitrix was about to be sent to Earth, instead is teleported to the Demon realm where it crashes about three miles from where Luz has made camp at.
