[Hajime's PoV]
(Ah, this is bad…)
While thinking like that, he turned his gaze towards his classmates at the opposite side. Hajime saw it — Kaori was being held back by Kouki and Shizuku. As for the other classmates, some had pale faces, while others were covering their eyes or mouth. Meld and the Knights also had a mortifying expression.
And then, the scaffold that held Hajime finally crumbled. Hajime fell into the abyss while looking upwards, he saw someone jump over the ledge screaming his name.
"NAGUMOOOOOO!"
He stretched his hand towards that person as the light gradually became dimmer…

I watched as Nagumo Hajime was falling. A stra- no, an intended fireball was shot towards him. The guy I suspected who had shot the fireball, Hiyama Daisuke. I gritted my teeth looking at him, I detest him to the core. So lowly killing his own classmate. On my front is Shirasaki Kaori screaming vehemently as she sees the guy she loves fall over the abyss and along with Yaegashi Shizuku and Amanogawa Kouki who were trying to stop her from acting rashly. All our classmates are dumbfounded by what happened and are still in panic with all the chaos going around as we try to escape from the 65th floor of the Great Orcus Dungeon.
However, through all that, I have no time. All I could think of was to go run. My gut is telling me to run and save him. With all the force I could do with my body's strength and remaining mana, I ran as fast as I could, shoving away Shirasaki, Yaegashi, and Amanogawa who were in front of me in the process.
"TSK! NAGUMOOOOOO!"
I shouted with all of my might as I jumped, falling and trying to catch up to him.
[Kaori's PoV]
Somewhere in the distance, a scream could be heard. When Kaori noticed that the voice belonged to her, she grimaced as she was quickly brought back to reality.
"Let me go! I have to go to Nagumo-kun! I promised! I will… I said I will protect him! Let me go!"
Towards Kaori who looked like she was about to jump after him, Shizuku and Kouki desperately held her back. While thinking "How could such a slender body possess so much strength?", they continued to restrain her.
If she kept struggling like this, she might injure herself. Nevertheless, they could not just let her go. If they released her, she would definitely jump off the cliff. She did not have a shadow of her usual calmness, looking completely frantic. No, it might be more appropriate to say that she had a pained expression.
"Kaori! You can't! Kaori!"
Because Shizuku could understand Kaori's current feelings, she could not find the right words to say. All she could do was call out her name desperately.
"Kaori! Are you also trying to die? It's already too late for Nagumo! Calm down! You'll hurt yourself!"
Kouki tried his best to show Kaori how worried he was. However, this was not the right place and time to say something like this to the already confused Kaori.
"What do you mean "too late"? Nagumo-kun is not dead yet! I have to go, he is surely seeking for help!"
He fell from the cliff into that bottomless abyss. No matter who looked at the situation, it was already hopeless for Nagumo Hajime. However, the Kaori now did not have the composure to accept this reality. If they said too much, she would only talk back and then exert herself even more. Ryutaro and the other students also did not know what to do as they just stood around, unable to speak.
At that moment, as Commander Meld walked over intending to knock out Kaori, a guy silently shoved the three away. Surprised to see him run with all his strength and finally jump over the ledge as he screams out.
"NAGUMOOOOOO!"
They could only look in disbelief and horror as the guy himself unhesitatingly jumped to go after Hajime who had fallen in the abyss.
"Oi, you've gotta be kidding me! Tsk! All of you, wake up and get out of here! Now!?"
Commander Meld hurriedly orders, still horrified by the boy who had suddenly jumped over.
Seeing this opportunity, Kaori who was let go after being shoved over with the other two. She ran before Shizuku and Kouki could react.

Shizuku and Kouki could only shout desperately as Kaori successfully ran away from them and jumped over the ledge like what the other guy had done just a while ago.
The two of them also intending to catch up to her were then desperately starting to run however….
"Oh no, you don't!"
"Agh(Ah)!"
Meld, who was not going to let go for the second time, struck them both, knocking them out in the process.
"I won't lose anymore of you! Let's get out of here now, all of you move!"
He shouted loudly. Ordering the remaining students and Knights to get out of the dungeon.

Kaori wakes up, dizzy after the fall and wet as she is beside the banks of the water.
"Oh, you're awake. Thank goodness."
Her eyes become wide as she sees the man who is in front of her.
"Ha…"
"Ha?"
"HAJIME-KUN!"
"Whoa- calm down."
Kaori, who couldn't believe what she is currently seeing, grabbed Hajime and hugged him tightly as she was thankful that he was alive and alright.
"I'm glad, you're alive *huu* *hics*. Tell me Hajime-kun, are you hurt anywhere? Are you alright?"
She hurriedly pats his whole body looking over him if he was any hurt somewhere.
"I-I'm alright, Shirasaki-san. See? I'm not hurt anywhere."
"I-I see, I'm so glad. I'm really glad you're alright."
"Shirasaki-san….."
As the two get emotional for their reunion, a voice interrupts.
"You do know I'm here too right?"

[(Tanaka Taiyo)Taiyo's PoV]
"*Sigh* Seriously, get a room you two."
I complained as I watched the two people get all worked up after reuniting with all this situation.
"T-That's not it, Tanaka-kun. I-I was just really glad that I could see Hajime-kun again and see that he's alright."
"Y-Yes and also me. Shirasaki-san was unconscious this whole time, so I was really relieved to see that there was nothing wrong with her."
"Geez, calm down. You guys don't have to be so flustered."
I say to the both of them as I grin seeing how these two get so agitated.
"Well for now, we should warm ourselves up. Especially you, Shirasaki. Your clothes are wet so you should dry them out."
"R-Right, got it."
"Yeah, I guess we should do that."
Both of them agreed. Warming ourselves up, as we are oblivious to the danger of this abyss in the dungeon that'll come.
