Chapter 4
No P.O.V
Sabertooth walked out into the hall just as Wolverine and Storm came running up the stairs. He growled at them.
"What are you doing here?" He bit out.
"Could ask you the same question." Wolverine retorted.
"I'm staying here, and I know for a fact you're not. I haven't done a thing to you, this time, so I don't see why you've come charging in here. Unless you're looking to get your asses kicked." He meant it as a challenge, and Wolverine took it the right way.
Wolverine was about to charge when Ari stepped out of the room. Well, stumbled was the more appropriate term. Saber caught her, and supported her.
"What's goin' on?" She asked disoriented.
"Nothing to worry about, go back into the room. I'll sort this out quickly." Saber said quietly to her and he tried to gently push her back into the room.
Wolverine growled, and unsheathed his claws, obviously thinking Sabertooth was trying to stop her leaving.
"Get away from the kid, Sabertooth." He warned.
"You're going to jump to conclusions, now?" Sabertooth asked darkly.
Wolverine started forward, and Sabertooth took his eyes off Ari, only to have her stand in front of him, like a shield.
"What do you want?" She asked weakly.
Wolverine stopped, confused, and Saber took the opportunity to pull her behind him, once more. He wouldn't have her in danger.
Storm took a step forward. "We are from Xaviers school for gifted youngsters, it's a school for mutants. We are here to offer you a place there."
Saber growled. She wasn't going there, they'd turn her against him.
"We can teach you to control your powers." She said.
"Saber said he'd help me. And anyway, I already go to a school. I have friends there, and they accept me." Ari shook her head.
"All-right. Well, you can contact us over the schools website if you ever change your mind." Storm said. "Come on Logan." The two X- Men then left.
Ari suddenly gasped and doubled over in pain. Saber moved quickly, picking her up, and moving her into the bedroom and back onto the bed.
Her eyes closed and Saber pulled his mobile out of his pocket and dialled the number.
"Frank, it's started."
Ari P.O.V.
I woke up and felt… different. I hadn't felt this good in ages! That was when I noticed it, everything seemed clearer. My vision, my sense of smell, my hearing. I grinned, I'd gone feral!
Standing up, I started to head towards the bedroom door, I must've still been at Saber's, I didn't recognise the room. That was when I caught sight of myself in the mirror. I gasped in shock.
I moved my hair to make sure, and then felt the top of my head as well. They were definitely there all-right. My ears had become cat ears! And my eyes! They were still blue, but the pupils were silted, like a cats.
"Bloody hell!" I said when I noticed the tail! It was brown, with darker brown strips. My canine teeth had become more like fangs, and my fingernails looked more like claws! When I went back home, I was going to give my teachers a coronary!
I padded out of the room and down stairs, straight into the living room. What I saw, stopped me in my tracks.
