Chapter 1: Stories of Old
Long ago, in ancient China, the peacocks ruled over Gongmen City. They brought great joy and prosperity to the city, for they had invented fireworks.
The citizens were happy with the colors and sparks that danced in the air, lighting up the sky. And for the longest time, there was peace.
But the peacocks young son, Lord Shen, saw darker power in the fireworks. What had brought color and joy could also bring darkness and destruction.
Shen's troubled parents consulted a soothsayer. She foretold that if Shen continued down this dark path, he would be defeated by a warrior of black and white and his four guardian warriors, each adorned with their own color, blue, red, purple, and orange.
Overhearing this fortelling, the young lord set out to change his fate, but what he did next… only sealed it.
Shen returned to his parents full of pride. But in their faces, he saw only horror.
He was banished from the city forever. But Shen swore revenge: Someday, he would return, and all of China would bow at his feet.
Smoke was thick in the air as the factory fires burned, molten metal poured into their places and were being forged into weapons of mass destruction.
Wolves hammered away at the molten metal, forging swords, spears, and other weapons for their cause.
One of the wolves, with an eye missing, leapt up to the higher levels before bowing to his master.
"It's almost done, Lord Shen." The Boss Wolf stated. "But we've run out of metal."
"Search the farthest villages. Find more metal!" Lord Shen ordered before shifting his gaze upward. "China will be mine."
This the banished lord swore with all his heart.
And we're back, I know that was short, but I promise the next chapter will be longer.
