Chapter 11

Ari P.O.V

I had my head on Vic's chest, and he had his arms wrapped around me. I loved the way his arms felt when they encircled me. It was as if I was built to fit into them perfectly.

"You know," he said, "I am seriously contemplating kidnapping you and keeping you all to myself."

"That doesn't sound so bad, except for one thing."

"What?"

"I want to finish school, if only to be able to see my friends all the time for another year."

"There is that problem." He agreed.

"But, when I get back, it'll be for good. You'll be able to see me whenever."

"Sounds good. Now, I'm sure there's something else we could be doing." Vic grinned, and he was soon on top of me once again.

By the time dad got back from his friends, Vic and I had decided to tell him that we were seeing each other. It was probably the best thing to do, seeing as we couldn't keep our hands off each other, and dad was bound to figure out that something was going on eventually.

My interview was fast approaching, and Vic had offered to take me to Sacramento, we were going to go the day before, and return the day after. Dad had been a little reluctant at first, seeing as we were now in a relationship, but he changed his mind not long later. To be honest, I think he was actually more than a little afraid of Vic than he liked to let on, but the way I was completely at ease around him, allowed dad to trust him.

Saber had also started to teach me how to ride a bike, along with continuing my training. I was quickly becoming really good with both of them, and I couldn't believe I'd ever gotten by with just the basics of self defence.

Also, dad was helping me arrange the paperwork so that after I had finished my last year in comprehensive, I could move over here. There was allot of it, but I was more than willing to go through it, if it meant that I could be closer to Vic, and anyway, it was better to get it out of the way.

Most nights, I'd wait until my dad was fast asleep, and then I'd teleport over to Vic's and spend the night, and then get up at five, and teleport back to dad's. I found I slept better when I was with Vic, than when I was on my own, which posed the question, what was I going to when I went home?

Probably become an insomniac. I thought to myself, and sighed. I looked up from my History essay and smiled at dad as he walked into the kitchen.

"How's the homework going?" he asked.

"Good, yeah, I'm almost done with history, and then I've only got R.E. to do."

"Philosophy or Ethics?"

"Ethics." I answered. "It's only a couple of questions, that won't take me long."

"Do you have everything ready for Monday?"

"Yeah dad, I do."

"And you'll be careful?" He asked.

"Yes dad, I will, and you don't have to worry about Vic, he'll take good care of me." I assured. Very good care indeed, I added mentally, but dad didn't have to know exactly how he'd be taking care of me.

"Good, I don't want you doing something you'll regret."

"I wont dad, trust me." Because it was true, the only thing I'd regret, would be if I denied myself what I knew was so right.

We left the conversation at that, and I got back to my homework, making sure dad didn't catch sight of my mark.

On Sunday, Vic and I left at noon and drove to Sacramento, where we booked into a motel room. We only came out of the room for food, and then we did that as quickly as possible.

Monday morning, Vic drove me to the University campus, and I signed in as a visitor. (A/N: No idea how any of this actually works.) I was then told to wait, and I took a seat until my name was called and I was led into an office.

No P.O.V.

Saber was leaning against his bike outside the University when his phone rang. He looked at the caller I.D. and answered.

"What's up Mort?" He asked by way of a hello.

"We haven't heard a thing from you since the last job, you still trying to figure out how to broach the subject with that girl?"

"I've already done that." Saber said.

"You fucked her, didn't you?"

"And I marked her."

"Does she know exactly what you did?"

"Of course she does! What do you take me for Toad?"

"Sorry! Jus' wondering."

"Listen Mort, I have a problem."

"What?"

"She's going back to Wales in a couple of weeks, I need you to put a tracker in a necklace I've bought for her."

"Send it to me, and I'll make sure its done in time." Mort said.

"I've already sent it to you. You should get it soon enough. But you can't show any sign that you've done anything to it Mort!"

"Let me guess, you haven't cleared this with her?"

"I just want to be able to keep an eye on her Mort. And it's not really possible to do it when we're on different continents." Saber said. "If something happens, I want to be able to track her down without a problem."

"I'll get it done, don't you worry. When I'm done with the necklace, you'll be able to track her down from anywhere in the world."

"Great, look, I'll talk to you some other time, she's coming this way."

"See you Sabes."

"See you Mort."

Ari was grinning widely.

"How'd it go?" Saber asked.

"So long as I get the right grades, I'm in." She said.

"Come on then, this is something to celebrate." Saber laughed, kissing her.
