AN: this is the first story I've done alone and also the first story I've done that is a cross over and also the first Percy Jackson story I've done, so don't expect to much this first chapter doesn't have any RWBY in it that will come in chapter 2, however this chapter will be explaining part of the oc's how they got into remnant. I don't own Percy Jackson or RWBY in any way
Wearily, Harry rose from his bunk, grabbing the celestial bronze hammer that his father had given him for his thirteenth birthday after he completed a quest to recover one of the forges of Hephaestus that had been taken over by monsters and descended, to wake the head councillor Leo Valdez, who had also become a sort of mentor to Harry as they shared the rare gift of pyrokinesis. After waking Leo they woke the rest of the cabin and headed for breakfast where Harry saw his best friend Disco Richardson a chid Apollo, who after being orphaned as child and left to fend for him self found his way to camp-half blood, was claimed by Apollo and decided to name him self after forgetting his original name. Disco stayed at camp year round to assist Will solace with healing any new demigods that came in wounded and also helping the oracle because of this he was given the chance to go to mount Olympus during the winter solstice which is how he got his magical back pack that allowed him to conjure any instrument and was a gift from his father as an apology for what he had to go through as Apollo felt like it was partially his fault that Disco was abandoned.
When breakfast was over Harry and Disco met up at had a walk around camp taking in their beautiful surroundings little did they know this would be the last chance they got as before to long they heard the roar of monsters from atop half-blood hill suddenly camp erupted in panic demigods frantically running round gathering weapons, the Hephaestus campers wheeling artillery around.
Obviously the Ares cabin were first to the base of half-blood hill along with some Apollo campers and the Hephaestus cabin setting up a defensive line Jason, Percy and Nico racing towards them swords drawn, the remaining Apollo campers setting up emergency medical tents closer to the defensive line, murmurs were going round between some of the Aphrodite campers saying things like 'surely the camp barriers will hold' and 'of course the Ares cabin is there they're always looking for an excuse for a fight' some of the campers from the minor Gods cabins filling out to see what the commotion was before scrambling back inside then emerging battle ready. The only cabin that seemed to be unaffected was the Hypnos cabin who were all still asleep which was to be expected.
Harry was stood next to Leo both boys were poised to release a fire ball at the monsters if the barrier broke, Jason was stood on the other side of Leo ready to launch an bolt of lighting if anything happened, Percy looked ready to summon a tidal wave and Nico was summoning the skeletons of dead soldiers to form the front line, half the Apollo campers had bows draw and the half ready to begin healing the wounded, Disco was among these as his strengths weren't in archery it was music, healing and prophecy which meant that when he fought he preferred melee which was unusual for a son of Apollo but it stemmed from fending of monster for so long when he was alone and not having access to a bow and arrow, only having a kitchen knife which he stole from a restaurant luckily though he now wielded a celestial bronze ukulele with retractable axe blade made specially by Harry.
After what must have been 30 minutes of the monsters relentlessly trying to break through the camp barriers some campers had asked to leave however Chiron told them to stay as ever since the gods had gone quiet a month ago monsters had gotten more violent, one of the Apollo campers grew tired of holing his bow at the ready and accidentally loosed an arrow at Thalias pine tree hitting the golden fleece and tearing it from the branch where it usually hung, this startled Jason who then accidentally released an arc of electricity which collided with the pine tree causing camps defences to fail and the horde of monsters to surge forward hell hounds leading the charge were mowed down by a volley of arrows and the Athena parthenos. Butch then sent a message to camp Jupiter informing them that a massive hoard of monster is attacking camp half blood.
Percy unleashed a tidal wave pushing back some of the monster and carrying Nico's skeleton warriors forward into battle cutting down many of the monsters as the demigods marched forward in formation with archers bringing up the rear firing volley after volley as fast as they could however it became more difficult when the undead army Nico had conjured up began to fall torn apart by hell hounds, hyperborean giants and telkines, Harry had fought telkines before as they had taken over his fathers forges in the past but he never would have thought they would attack camp half-blood the machines that he had helped make then fire at the onslaught of monsters spreading greek fire, at the same time him and Leo continued to launch fire balls at their attackers trying to hold the off and prevent the demigods at the front of the formation holding shields from getting to over whelmed, Percy decided he had better things to do and ran off.
"Where is he going?" Harry said to Leo
"No clue." Leo responded "id bet he has a plan though."
Harry turned round to see and sure enough Percy was talking with Butch about something. Moments later an army of cyclopes stormed the beach lead by Tyson, Ella the harpy and Mrs O'Leary the hell hound, the reinforcements surged forward to met the other monsters Ella flying above Tyson seeing this the campers went on the offensive shields dropped and campers surged forward to protect their home many getting wounded and carted off to be healed. Harry drew the hammer he always carried and Leo drew a regular one from his belt and the pair charged forward igniting their hammers and began incinerating monsters when they were picked up by a hyperborean giant and hurled out of the fight, seeing that the strategy wasn't working Annabeth order everyone to return to defensive positions which even the cyclopes complied with, helping to strengthen the shield wall.
For a battle field there weren't many bodies as most of them had been picked up and sent to be healed or in the case of the monsters disintegrated into to gold. Disco was still working along side Will tirelessly to heal up the injured demigods as the monster bombarded the shield wall it seemed that to be barely holding the archers trying to pick off as many monsters as they could, Nico trying to summon undead warriors to push back the monster but couldn't muster the strength, Jason was hovering in the air zapping as many monsters as he could and Percy had formed his own miniature hurricane to surround him as he cut through the monsters trying to give the others time to recover but it didn't seam to help much. Butch was still waiting near the lake sending out iris messages to the party ponies, the hunters of Artemis and camp Jupiter all of which agreed to try to aid camp half-blood the first to arrive were the party ponies arriving in there respective chapters and charging through the horde of monsters then jumping the shield wall and talking with Chiron, then was the hunters who started firing at the monster horde led by Thalia using her lighting powers as they circled round to join the Apollo campers and their wolves joined mrs O'Leary at the back, finally a stream of black SUV's ploughed down the monsters as camp Jupiter arrived. Once was everyone was out the cars they began to get into formation with the demigods of camp half-blood but it still wasn't enough the monsters seemed to be materializing form nowhere, it was only when Reyna pointed out the crack that had monsters pouring out positioned on the other side of the hill that Nico realised what was happening. A crack to Tartarus had opened. Possibly because of both the Golden Fleece and the Athena parthenos were in the same place and both seemed to attract monster and now even with the statue trying to protect the camp the endless monsters were too much.
that's when Leo said to Harry "take this" and handed him the tool belt around his waist "I have something I need to do and I think you should have it in case I don't survive" Leo then ran into the forest and remerged on the back of Fetus his bronze dragon and flew towards where the Romans had told them the expanding opening to Tartarus was, immediately Jason realised what he was going to try and grabbing Percy flew after him Annabeth and Piper screaming in protest as their boyfriends flew off.
Another 30 minutes passed demigods, centaurs, satyrs, nymphs and cyclops trying to defend against the monsters and no sign of Leo, Percy, Jason or Festus. It seemed that the defenders of camp half-blood were going to be whipped out loosing three of the strongest they had, when a blast of light came from the heavens followed by lightning and water and fire and many other attacks, disintegrating the monster horde which was helpful even if another wave was just ascending the hill,
15 figures materialized those being Zeus, Hera, Poseidon, Demeter, Athena, Apollo, Artemis, Ares, Hephaestus, Aphrodite, Hermes, Hestia, Dionysus Hades and Hecate had arrived to help however weak they seemed.
Hecate spoke first "as you all can tell we are all extremely weak, this is because Gaia was not as defeated as we fought it would seem that she still had a few demigods helping one was part of camp half-blood a child of nemesis who put poison on the pine tree similar to what Luke Castellan did in the second titan war, before running off to the pegasus stables, taking two and flying to camp Jupiter where he met up with a friend, a girl in the first cohort giving her his spare pegasus they flew to Greece to meet with the giants that Tartarus him self released as asked by Gaia and the pair along with their steeds were sacrificed to Gaia to aid in her awakening the other gods and I tried to force her back to sleep but to no avail and it would seem that now Tartarus is angered he and Gaia are opening up the world and letting the monsters pour out which has only recently begun but it would seem that we wont be able to win this as we speak more and more of this world is being destroyed, however there is a world with no gods that we will be sending four demigods to, the other minor Gods will be here soon will put all our power into sending Nico di Angelo son of Hades, Harry Fabbro son of Hephaestus, Disco Richardson son Apollo and Annabeth Chase daughter of Athena" As Hecate listed of their names they were teleported in front of her and the other gods "the powers you inherited from your godly parents will stay with you and Hephaestus has made you all custom armour that is magically enchanted to disguise its self as your regular cloths, each armour set is tailor designed to perfectly fit you and the gauntlets all have shields embedded in them, all this will prepare you for what is to come." the four demigods all stood in shock as they were handed their armour each set had their initials and the symbol of their godly parent engraved on the back.
Once the demigods were armoured up Athena came forward saying "I wish to bless the four of you my blessing will enhance your ability to come up with battle strategies on the go, make remembering information you learn easier and also boost your general knowledge and wisdom allowing you to make better decisions" as she said this the four demigods began to glow with an aura that radiated knowledge and wisdom after she had finished and the glow faded she went back to where she was before.
Ares stepped forward "I also wish to bless you brave warriors; my blessing will enhance your battle awareness, your skill with most weapons, your physical strength and your skill in hand to hand combat" as he said this the four demigods began to glow once more this time the glow had a red tinge and radiated power and strength they also physically changed their muscles growing in size they became taller and their shoulders broadened even giving them a sense of confidence.
"now are you ready" Hecate asked and the four demigods looked at each other before nodding "then say goodbye to your friends it is time you left" the four of them turned and waved at the army that had come to help camp half-blood, Annabeth tearing up as her Piper, Hazel and Thalia embraced each other, Nico and Will sharing one last hug before Will turned to Disco and asked him to make sure Nico looked after himself, Harry turned to his cabin mate who wished him good luck and handed him a miniature Festus about the size of a crow that was created as a good luck charm that went on quests with the Hephaestus campers whenever one of their dads workshops was taken over by telkines and would ordinarily help to keep the forges going or would just fly around camp carrying messages and other small jobs like that.
After everyone said goodbye and to friends and godly parents Hecate said "It is time for your departure" the demigods then lined up in front of her and she opened up a portal the demigods put their helmets on now fully armoured Disco shouldered his magical backpack and Harry put on the magical tool belt Leo had given him all four adjusting their weapons Harry had his hammer in one of the belt loops, Disco had his ukulele on his back, Annabeth had her knife at her side and Nico had his stygian iron sword at his side then taking one last glance at all their allies and friends they jumped through the portal.
