Summary: During her sixth year at Hogwarts, Victoria had come to realize a few things. One, she was a darker shade of gray, and two, she desires the freedom to do whatever she wants. She makes a choice to join the dark side to get the kind of life she craves. She stops letting others and the blasted prophecy control her life, with the help of Voldemort inside her head.

She was tired. She was tired of all the fighting. She was tired of losing people she cared about most in this world. Victoria Potter was at her wit's end. Over the last few weeks, she has been talking to Voldemort in her head, and she was sad to say, but he was the only person that has never lied to her. Hell, even Sirius and Remus had been guilty of that. Well, no more. She was done being Fate's whipping girl. She was over it. Her childhood and the last few years were a living nightmare. Victoria has changed over the summer.

After the death of her Godfather, she discovered that Dumbledore, and the two people that she had counted as her best friends, were behind it all. As it turned out, Dumbledore was disillusioned while they were fighting in the Hall of Prophecies. He had sent a tripping hex towards Sirius, causing him to fall into the veil of death. In all honesty, Victoria did not think he was truly dead, since he was very much alive falling into the veil. She had vowed to find some way to free him from the veil. She didn't care how long it would take, she would free her godfather. Sirius had become like an uncle or father over the years she has known him. She loved him dearly.

When Victoria discovered that Dumbledore and her friends had been the cause of Sirius's death (or in this case, out of her life), it enraged her. She wanted them dead. It had changed her. As she was taking control of her life, Voldemort had been in her mind, and he was shocked at what he saw. This young woman was as dark as he was. Well, maybe not as dark, but she was most definitely a witch that had a darker shade of grey affinity. Over the last few weeks, Voldemort revealed something that shocked her to the core. She was a Horcrux. A part of his soul lived instead of Victoria.

After he had revealed that fact, everything made sense. Her upbringing, the way she was treated in the wizarding world, and all of the dangerous events that surrounded her were setups so she would either die, or she would be willing to give up her life to save everyone. Well, that wasn't going to happen. She wasn't dying for anyone, let alone a world that had abandoned her after her parents were murdered.

Now, some people would think she would hate Voldemort for killing her parents, but the thing is, you can't miss what you don't have. They may have loved her enough to die for her, but Victoria was willing to bet that they would understand why she was the way she was after the life she's been forced to live. Not only that, it was war, people would die. It's sad, but it happens.

Victoria looked around the new and improved bedroom that Dobby had transformed for her, she was still amazed at the changes. He had magically enlarged the room, the bed was transfigured into a large full-size canopy bed with a lot of soft pillows and blankets. The desk had been repaired and again was bigger, the wardrobe was triple its size. The cold hardwood floors were covered by a wall-to-wall plush emerald green carpet, matching the bed covering, and the walls were now painted a cream color. There was also another door that led to a large bathroom fit for a princess.

The best part about it was there was now a ward on her door, and on Victoria herself preventing physical violence. Dobby had done that when he had found out that Vernon had raped her the summer of her thirteenth birthday. When Voldemort found that out, he vowed that she would get her revenge on that pig. If there was one thing that Voldemort never allowed was sexual abuse of any kind. If his death eater's had one that, and he found out about it, they were killed. It was something Victoria respected about them. When she had told Dumbledore, he said the blood wards were more important than anything she had endured. Well, he made her revenge list.

When Sirius and Remus discovered what had been done to her, Remus wanted the fat fuck for a snack on the full moon, while Sirius wanted to use the training that he received from his parents growing up against him. It was at that point that Sirius and Remus prooved themselves to her. She knew she could trust them. She revealed that she wanted to join the dark side, and to her surprise, they wanted the same. Come to find out, they had wanted to join when they discovered that the dark side killed anyone that harmed a child or those that did nothing to stop it. Coincidently, Sirius was dead (or out of her life for the moment) two weeks later.

As Victoria looked around the room, she was overcome with the need to take control of her life. She was going to that Will reading. She dressed in a white blouse and a navy blue A-line skirt with short, chunky heels and a plain beige traveling robe that fell to her knees, just a little past her skirt. After Dobby had made her living arrangements better, Victoria had gone on a small shopping spree for better clothing until she was able to do more shopping. When she arrived at the bank, everyone was stunned. Victoria knew why. She looked different. Beautiful. Radiant.

Over the last couple of weeks, Voldemort had taught her how to embrace her magic. When she had found her magical core, a variety of colors floated all around her. It had reminded her of muggle fireworks. It was amazing. The colors were mostly black, grey, silver, and green.

When she had reached out towards the area that held the darker power. She had felt it, the aura, the essences of darkness. It was an intoxicating feeling. She had imagined herself pulling that darkness forward and bringing it to the forefront of her mind as Voldemort had directed. At first, nothing had happened until she had tried again, harder the second time and that was when she succeeded. The darker power had exploded inside of her magical core, taking over everything and it had hurled her out of the trace.

When she had opened her eyes, Victoria had been gasping for breath. It had felt like a dream to her. A dream that you felt like you were falling to your death until you woke suddenly. That's what it had felt like. When she had calmed down, she had laid there enjoying the feeling of the dark essence that had enveloped her. Victoria's magic had settled inside of her body like a security blanket. It had felt like it was oozing out of every pour in her body. It had given her comfort and power. It was an amazing feeling. But that wasn't the reason everyone was staring at her.

Victoria looked very different. Her previous dark brown hair was now a stunning ebony black. It was black as night and framed her aristocratic face, which was almost completely from the Black's, you could tell she was a Potter, but some characteristics were pure Black, obviously inherited from her paternal great grandmother who was a Black, she also had traces from the Malfoy's and the Rosier's who had married Potter's along the line, Dumbledore, the old goat recalled that Victoria's great great grandmother had been the only girl from the Rosier's. Apparently, Victoria had inherited traces from several lines over the summer, giving origin to beauty without precedent.

Snape, the man Victoria hated for his part in her parents' deaths, saw the beauty in front of him, but he didn't forget Lily Potter that was considered the most beautiful girl at Hogwarts in her time. And when the sun shined from the window on Victora's hair he didn't miss the blood-red sheen it had. But what surprised him the most were her eyes, they may have been the same shape as Lily's but the color was nothing like it. No one in the lobby of Gringott's could stop the shiver that went down their spine when they looked at eyes the color of death, eyes the exact same color as the ' Avada Kedavra '. Victoria's eyes used to be like Lily's stunning emerald green, but that wasn't the case now. She no longer needed glasses.

Victoria was no longer a clone of her parents.

"Victora, my girl. I thought you did not want to come to the will reading," Dumbledore said putting a fake smile on his face. He was stunned when she gazed at him with a look of pure malice in her eyes. "I never said that. You just assumed," she said through clenched teeth. "Silveraxe, may we get on with this?" she asked turning towards her account manager. "Of course, Heiress Potter," he said just as the Malfoy family arrived. After the will was read, no one could believe it. The Order expected to get something, but all they got was a hate-filled rant about how they treated his goddaughter. Remus got a vault with well over one million galleons and a secluded cottage. The Malfoy family inherited the Villa in Italy and Number 12 Grimmauld Place, and half a million galleons. Victoria inherited everything else, and the title, while also gaining her emancipation.

"Thank Merlin. I can leave those monsters' residence," she was relieved. "Don't you dare say anything old man, my decision is final. I will never live with those people again. I, Lady Victoria Rosa Potter Black, hereby declare that the Dursley residence was never my home," she announced knowing what that meant. The wards fell.

"Do you have any idea what you have just done?" Dumbledore asked his weapon. "Yes, I do. Voldemort can have those people. I would never save their lives after the way I was treated in that house," she said, as she and Remus followed behind Silveraxe into his office. "I need a lineage test, please," she requested. "Drop three drops of blood onto this parchment," he directed and less than a minute later, she had her results and she was stunned.

"My mother was a half-blood," she muttered shocked, but it didn't change anything. "It seems so," Remus said stunned that his goddaughter was the last of Grindelward's bloodline. "Now, you are the last of Grindelwald's bloodline, so you have inherited quite a few vaults from him, and he had sold all of his properties except for Grindelwand Manor. It is unplottable, and if you were to key anyone into the wards, they would need to be keyed in every time they arrived," Victoria couldn't believe it. That was exactly what she needed.

"Is it beinging taken care of?" she inquired. "Yes. You have house-elves that have been looking after the property," Silveraxe said. "I know where I'm going to be living," Victoria said as she and Remus left the bank. "I don't blame you. It's the safest place for you," he said happily. Victoria would now be safe from Dumbledore and his people. Before she and Remus arrived at the manor, Victoria decided to shop for everything that she needed so she wouldn't have to worry about anything until she receives her school letter.

Victoria purchased jackets, jumpers, sweaters, tops, t-shirts, blouses, dress pants, shorts, skirts, dresses, and jeans in different colors. She was then measured for robes and cloaks, formal, informal, business, and evening ones made of velvet, satin, silk, lace, brocade, embroidery, some casual cotton, and wool, the wool was similar to cashmere in emerald green, mint green, black, purple, lilac, gold, silver, pale periwinkle blue, sapphire blue, ivory, white, cream and finally a scarlet red. A few of them had extra detail. The white, ivory, gold, silver, lace, brocade, and embroidery were kept to a minimum, such as collars, sleeves inner lining, or arranged on certain sections of the evening robes and cloaks. But only seven of them had the Potter, Peverell, Gryffindor, Black, Evans, and Ravenclaw crests. She decided against the Grindelwald crest until the war was over.

They then entered Trunks and Bags for all Occasions. Victoria purchased a five-compartment truck with enlarged compartments. One compartment was a full walk-in wardrobe with parts, like drawers for her socks, underwear, shirts, pullovers, and pants, apart for hanging her robes without them wrinkling, a set of shelves for her shoes, and some general hangers could be chosen by labeled plates at the side of the compartment. Victoria just had to place her hand on the symbol, for example, a drawer for socks, and the compartment would turn to that part. It also had places for her jewelry.

The second compartment was a general storage area that worked like the first compartment. With students of Hogwarts, there always were many things they needed to transport and in the case of potion ingredients some of them were better stored apart from other things or they could damage them. The apothecary normally packed them safely, but what the student did over the school year was another matter completely. So the labels were for the ingredient shelves, the writing equipment, parchment, ink, and quills, the cases here were built specially to hold up to twenty bottles of ink safely in a box with single partitions for each bottle. Then there was an area for toiletries and towels, another area for Quidditch gear, and the last part for various things.

The third compartment was a library with countless bookshelves, and that could hold countless books. The bookcases could be labeled by the owner of the trunk and the plates at the side would adapt accordingly. The last compartment was a full equipt potions lab with safety measures to avoid getting hurt. Magic never failed to amaze Victoria. She was able to have the exterior the way she wanted, so it was now lined in black leather. The metal endings, the handles, and the clasp were in silver. And the stones were pearls. Engraved on the lid were her initials V.R.P. in blue and silver. She bought a bag with the same looks with a feather-light charm, fireproof and waterproof charms, anti-theft charms, and an unlimited extension charm.

She purchased the safety pack, enchantments that prevent damage and theft, and each compartment had the option of a password for each. To set the password she only had to put the tip of her wand on the stone of the intended compartment and say the password but only after the safety pack was on the trunk. The pack also has the option of shrinking and enlarging the trunk with just a touch of her wand. She thought it was the perfect way to protect her belongings.

She decided against getting books because odds are, the library in Grindelwald manor would be extensive and would have a lot more books than the Hogwarts library. She did purchase journals, quills from many different birds. Phoenixes, owls, hawks, crows, ravens, and so on. She also bought enough parchment to last the remaining of the summer holidays and the coming school year. Victoria purchased a new perch, and food and water bowls for Hedwig along with enough treats to last her the year. Hedwig liked to hunt, so she didn't bother with purchasing live mice.

The last stop was at a wand shop in Knockturn Alley because Ollivander did not make custom-made wands. Victoria's new wand was ten inches and was made from the wood of the white ash tree, which was actually black, and was named for the color the ash was, white. The wood was washed in her blood, giving the jet-black wood a red tinge, and made it impossible for anyone other than her to wield it. The core was made from an Acromantula tooth soaked in phoenix tears.

When they arrived at the Manor, they were stunned. It was a large gorgeous gothic-style manor that sat on hundreds of acres of land and gardens. It even had its own greenhouses for growing potion ingredients.

It was perfect.

"I love this house," she breathed as she settled down for the night. She had been right about the library. The books had more detail than the school books, so she decided she would use her family books for school, all she would need to purchase when she got her school letter would be her school robes. She had dropped Divination and Care of Magical Creatures. Victoria knew she wouldn't learn what she needed for the career she wanted with those classes. She would self-study on anything she wanted to learn during school and during the holidays. She had dropped potions when she found out that Snape had played a part in her parents' deaths. She never took muggle studies because she had been raised in the muggle world, so she knew everything she needed for right now.

She felt Voldemort's presence in her mind, but she didn't mind giving him a tour. She had already decided to request the goblins to build another manor onto the grounds for him and his death eaters. They would not be in her home until she was comfortable with them. When he heard that thought, Voldemort understood because he and his people have been trying for years to kill the young lady. Victoria could have all the time she needed. He wouldn't rush it even if he wanted to read some of those books.

The tides of war have finally turned in my favor Voldemort thought as he left her mind when she fell asleep.
