Chapter 30
Ari P.O.V.
That day, I drove home as quickly as possible, so I could explain what was happening to mam, and pack, and check my email.
When I got there, I barely managed to keep my cool to tell her everything. But when I did, she agreed this was best for me to do.
I packed quickly, and turned on my email. I almost cried with happiness as I turned my web cam on.
"What's happening Kitten?" Vic asked, as soon as he saw I was on line.
"Faith had a vision, but by the time she told me, two scenes had already happened. The first thing she saw was Edith telling these men all about the guys and me, and then Edith confronting me outside the house, which happened this morning, and then Faith being taken, then Mark, then me, then Cari, and finally, Paddy. Then it was images of them running experiments on all of us at different times. They've already taken Faith. I'm scared Vic." I admitted.
"Just stay calm kitten. Now, is there anywhere you can go, somewhere they wouldn't know about?"
"The school had visitors today. From Xaviers, including the professor, and the two who turned up just before my abilities surfaced, and some pupils. I didn't know when I'd be able to get in contact with you, so we decided to tell them. The professor offered to pay for rooms until it all gets sorted out. We're all heading… Oh my god." I breathed.
"What is it Kitten?"
"In Faith's vision, she showed it to me. When they took Mark, it looked as if he was packing!" I said.
I grabbed my phone, an ominous feeling in the pit of my stomach. Mark picked up after the second ring. "What's up Ari?"
"Get out of there Mark! Now!"
"What? Wh-"
I heard a bang on the other end.
"Ari! Run! Hide!" He yelled, before the line went dead.
I hung up, shaking. "They took him Vic." I said, shakily.
"Stay calm kitten. Everything's going to be fine. Just listen carefully, and do exactly as I say. Get whatever you need, as quickly as possible, then go stay with Xavier, until I get there. I may not like them, but right now, the X-Men are your best shot. And keep the necklace I gave you on."
"My necklace?" I asked confused.
Vic sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose, "I had a tracker placed in it. I wanted to be able to keep track of you. I'm sorry I didn't tell you, but right now it's coming in handy. Please don't argue about anything right now kitten. Just do as I say."
I nodded.
"And kitten, even if they do get you, I will come for you. Don't you worry about that."
"See you soon Vic. I love you."
"I love you too Ari."
I signed off, and shut down the laptop. Running upstairs, I packed a bag with clothes and ran downstairs. I grabbed my helmet, and put it on, thankful that I hadn't taken off my leathers yet.
"See you ma." I said. I gave her a quick hug, and I headed out the door. I took a look at the street. Two vans were at either end. Vans I'd never seen.
I went back into the house. "I'm going to have to teleport Can you look after my ring for me?" I said, when the door closed, I gave her the ring.
Mam nodded. "Take care."
I nodded. "I will."
I put the helmet on the sofa, and teleported out, to the edge of Neath, the town that the Professor and the others were staying at. I sent a quick text message to Cari and Paddy, explaining what had happened to them, I sent it, and kept my phone in my hand, as I took off through the park, to cut time off my journey.
I pulled to a halt as a man stepped into my line of vision. He raised his arm. I felt something hit my shoulder, and looked down to see a dart in my shoulder. I pulled it out, and shook my head, trying to clear it, then I yelled, to get attention, the hotel wasn't too far away, just across the road from the park, "HELP!". A second hit, and then a third. I pulled them both out, before a fourth hit me, and I succumbed to the darkness.
