Summary: Elizabeth is a normal woman and is obsessed with Harry Potter until a simple wish allows her to become Harry Potter's twin sister during the summer before fourth year. What change will she bring to the story we all know?

A/N: I'm doing my own version of The Replacement by esm3rald. I'm not going to copy anything he or she wrote. Anyway, some will probably consider Anastasia a Mary Sue but I don't really care. Besides the fact that I hate the term, I personally don't see my character as a Mary Sue, she's not naïve or innocent, not everybody will love her, she's not perfect (actually she will probably be a bitch sometimes), though she will be very beautiful and powerful and a lot of males will be interested in her so I guess if that's what you consider a Mary-Sue (because obviously, a woman can't be intelligent, powerful, beautiful and sexy at the same time without being considered a Mary-Sue), then I guess she is. So, if you don't like this story, then don't bother to read or comment on it. I write for my personal enjoyment and no one else.

Prologue,

Elizabeth was reading the sixth book of the Harry Potter series once again. It might not have been her favorite out of the Harry Potter books but it was still magical enough to capture her attention. But her favorite book of the series would have to be both the first and second books. They were the most eye-catching for her.

Even though Elizabeth was a woman in her thirties, she was just as obsessed with them as when they first came out in 97'. It was just so amazing to get sucked up in a story like that. She has been a teacher for most of her adult life and she has tried to get her students to read other books but so far she has only been able to get them to read the Harry Potter series. Not that she could blame them, the books were amazing. It brought out everyone's inner child. The books were just so appealing, addictive, and brilliant.

But the magical world J.K Rowling had created had some major flaws. There were just so many injustices in the books that never made sense to Elizabeth. It was all wrong.

Maybe that was what made it so interesting though, even for someone of her age. A flawed world is a world similar to reality after all.

There were so many prejudices against magical creatures, muggle-borns, half-bloods, and those with creature blood in their bloodlines. The magical world was just that, so they needed to drop the pointless prejudices and hate. It was wrong to treat people like that no matter their background. It's the people that matter, not the blood.

There were even prejudices against the Slytherins. Elizabeth didn't care what anyone said but there was no way anyone could convince her that eleven-year-old children were evil. They were children. Slytherins only acted out due to all the prejudices against them. People just needed to give them a chance.

Harry was even prejudiced against the Slytherins, well with the help of Hagrid and Ronald Weasley. Elizabeth never understood how Harry had been swayed so easily due to knowing what it was like to be hated for something he couldn't control. It had been disappointing when she read that portion of the book.

And let's not forget throwing people in Azkaban without the benefit of a trial. That was just wrong. Not even the real world did that. Granted, some of them weren't fair but they still had a trial. It was their right. They had the right to defend themselves. Not to mention that the Harry Potter world had Veritaserum so they could get the truth no matter what.

The worse was the education at Hogwarts. It just seemed like Dumbledore wanted everyone ignorant when they left Hogwarts and keep looking towards him for answers. He failed his students at every turn. But he has failed his students for years. All the way back to Tom Riddle. Anyway, Hogwarts was known as the safest magical school in the wizarding world but that just wasn't the case.

In Harry's first year at Hogwarts, there were flying broomsticks that needed replacing. Then there was the Cerberus. The Mirror of Erised. The dragon, Forbidden Forest, obstacles, Philosopher's Stone, Quirrell, and Voldemort.

The Mirror was known to drive someone insane and Harry's emotional well-being after he found it had proven that it was for him. It was like someone wanted to break him down. Hagrid shouldn't have shown Harry or his friends the dragon. The was stupid on his part. The Forbidden Forest was just as dangerous. McGonagall must have been out of her mind when she had assigned that detention.

Elizabeth didn't understand how any of the teachers still had their jobs after that year alone. They failed their charges. They were supposed to look after the students in their care and they didn't live up to their duty.

Snape shouldn't have been a teacher in the first place. He didn't have the right temperament to work with children. Dumbledore could have still used him in the war and just hired him to stock the hospital wing with potions and research potions. Aside from that, Snape should have never been allowed to be around Harry due to him being the reason why Voldemort killed his parents. It was a disgrace to James and Lily's memory.

In Harry's second year at Hogwarts, Dobby got him in trouble and got him trapped in his sorry excuse of a bedroom by his heartless relatives. At the platform, they could have written a letter or waited for Ron's parents to get them to Hogwarts after Dobby blocked the barrier. There was no reason good enough to risk exposing the wizarding world.

Lockhart shouldn't have been a teacher because anyone with a brain could see that he was a fraud. Then there was the Acromantula nest in the Forbidden Forest. Man-eating spiders should not be that close to a school with hundreds of students. Anything could have happened to them. Not to mention, the petrifications and the basilisk roaming around with no one being the wiser. The teachers should have known what was petrifying everyone. A second-year figured that out so it shouldn't have been so difficult for them to figure out.

In Harry's third year at Hogwarts, there were soul-sucking demons known as dementors. Who the hell places those in a school around students? There weren't very many dangers to Harry aside from the dementors who forced him to relive his parent's last moments. Sirius and Remus would never knowingly hurt him if they could help it. They loved Harry more than anything and that's what made it hard to believe that they never kept in touch with Harry after his third year and the following years.

Elizabeth was willing to bet that Dumbledore had something to do with that. He wanted complete control of Harry. But Sirius should have demanded a trial as Lord Black. She found it hard to believe that the Wizengamot could have denied him if he took up the mantle of Lord Black. They wouldn't have killed a Lord if they didn't want the public demanding their heads.

In Harry's fourth year at Hogwarts, the Triwizard Tournament was reinstated with only an age line preventing anyone underage from entering but that didn't stop Barty Crouch Jr from entering Harry into the tournament. And with that being said, Harry should have made a magical oath proving that he didn't do it and should've claimed his birthright as Lord Potter due to being emancipated when three headmasters and three ministry employees forced him to compete.

Harry should have spoken his mind to his friends when they turned their backs on him and didn't believe him when he said he didn't enter. He should not have been so quick to forgive them. They deserved the cold shoulder treatment for a while. Elizabeth didn't think much of the tournament because anyone could tell you that the tasks were too dangerous for even adults to compete in let alone a fourteen-year-old. The ball, well, all Harry needed was a little more confidence in himself and he would have been just fine.

The graveyard could have gone so much differently if only a different ritual was used and if Harry hadn't been tortured. And finally, Harry should have never been sent back to his relatives after all he had been through that year.

Cedric would have also remained alive. Harry knew something had been wrong and didn't think before he invited Cedric to make it a Hogwarts win in the tournament. His death could have been avoided.

Harry's trial could have gone a lot differently if he had just sworn a magical oath telling everyone what had happened in that graveyard with Voldemort and his pets. It would have given the Aurors and the citizens of the magical world time to prepare for war.

When Harry's fifth year at Hogwarts started, a teacher tortured him and countless other students. He had to teach half of his year to defend themselves since their teacher wasn't doing anything to prepare them for an attack. The so-called Occlumency lessons when it was really mind rape so Snape could get revenge on James Potter in some sick way. It was ridiculous that a grown man could not let go of a grudge against a man who was dead for fourteen years because of him. And at the end of that year, Harry had to watch as Sirius, a man he either viewed as an uncle or another father and best friend rolled into one get murdered by Sirius's own cousin. Family killing family. Does it get any worse?

And after Sirius died, Harry was told that his whole life was revolved around a prophecy. Elizabeth had been surprised when that news didn't break him.

In Harry's sixth year at Hogwarts, instead of being taught spells and how to defend himself against the spells Voldemort was bound to use on him, he was shown memories of Voldemort when he was still Tom Riddle. He was tasked to get a memory from his teacher and at the end of that year, he watched Snape kill Dumbledore on his orders when Draco Malfoy couldn't do it. Draco wasn't a killer but he was still dark. Elizabeth didn't think it mattered because she didn't think being a dark witch or wizard made someone evil. It was just their magic affinity.

Elizabeth also thought that Harry should have been working on his animagus form in his fifth and sixth years so he'd have an ace up his sleeve during the war. His form could have been a hawk with how good he was at flying and no one would question why a hawk was seen flying around. His form could give him a connection with other birds.

And in what would have been Harry's seventh year at Hogwarts, he had the task of hunting down Horcruxes with his friends Ron and Hermione. But Elizabeth didn't think they should have been with him due to them doubting Harry every time he came up with an idea on where a Horcrux could be. If they were really his friends, they would listen to him even if they didn't agree with him. That's just being a friend. And instead of being on the run all the time, they could have gotten a wizarding tent with bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, and training room with training dummies. Then placed the most powerful wards and runes around the tent so they wouldn't need to risk being discovered. And they could have also called for Dobby, Winky, and Kreacher when they ran out of supplies. Elves could get in anywhere, even the bank.

And finally, walking to his death was just stupid because he didn't know if he was coming back or not. He should have gone to the goblins considering they had magic that wizards and witches did not.

They could have had the dragon reserve to rescue the dragon from the bank. No living creature should expect pain just from a bell ringing. That was horrible.

Now, onto the muggleborns. Elizabeth didn't really think they were actually muggleborns. She was of the opinion that they were descendants of squibs. In fact, she found it had to believe muggles could produce a magical child. It was a ridiculous thought.

Plus, once the purebloods had stopped killing their squib children, the so-called muggleborns had a sudden increase in numbers. Elizabeth didn't understand how the purebloods didn't catch onto that. It was strange.

Elizabeth also thought that the so-called muggleborns and the half-bloods were a danger to the magical world due to how many a year travels between worlds on a daily basis. She didn't understand why no one put a stop to that. It was only logical they should stop exposure before it became a risk. And instead of having the platform on the muggle side, they should just floo to the Express.

The classes in the magical world needed an upgrade and added classes. They needed a Magical Studies class, Etiquette and Manners, International Relations, Spell Creation, Healing, Curse breaking, Warding, Magical and Mundane Languages, Elemental Magic, Ancient Magic, and Rituals. They also needed a Dark Arts class along with the Light and Grey Arts. It would hopefully help with the prejudices in the magical world.

Well, and how could you fight against something if you don't understand it. The first is understanding, then defending. It was that simple.

As Elizabeth thought about the Harry Potter world, she couldn't help but wish she were in the Potter universe as Harry's twin sister. But she would want to look like Lily with James's eyes. She would look like Sarah Drew with red hair and hazel eyes. Elizabeth's name is the Harry Potter universe would be Anastasia Lily. She has always found that name to be pretty.

And instead of being sorted into Gryffindor with Harry, she'd want to be a Ravenclaw. Elizabeth has always thought ahead before rushing into danger. She put logic before instincts. She used her brain and it had helped her go far in life.

Now, if Elizabeth was given the chance to be a part of the Harry Potter world, she would also support Harry and make him more powerful due to the prophecy. The prophecy spoke of the Dark Lord's equal and Harry wasn't much of an equal due to not applying himself in his studies or pushing his magic to do more. Magic was only limited if you never pushed the boundaries. Magic could do wonders if only you used it and pushed it to do more. Harry was intelligent but his relatives had him convinced that he should dumb himself down. Muggles didn't understand magical grades so Harry didn't really need to worry about that.

And Gringotts would have credit cards because it was just careless carrying around a key or money pouch. That is just asking to get robbed. The credit cards would be keyed to their blood so no one aside from them could use their cards. It just made sense to cover all the bases.

On a different note, since they would be twins, their animagus forms would be the same just in different colors. Elizabeth would want to be a healer due to Harry getting hurt far too much for her peace of mind. That and she loved to help people. She's also want to be a teacher again when she got older. She'd want to teach History.

Their friends could have become animaguss also. But Elizabeth would add the Weasley twins, Ginny, Luna, and Neville in the mix also. Harry needed to understand that the world didn't revolve around Ron and Hermione.

And Fred would most definitely remain alive.

Anyway, both of Harry's parents had been very powerful and Harry was just average. He lacked the initiative to do more. But again that could be due to his friends and Dumbledore. Ron had always wanted to have fun and Hermione was too bossy for Harry to want to do anything with her. And Dumbledore just wanted Harry to be his weapon against Voldemort.

As Elizabeth continued to think about the Harry Potter universe, she couldn't help but think of Harry failing to make his life easier at the Dursley home. He had all the money and never thought of buying his own food and new clothes along with asking Dobby to make the bedroom bigger and make it his own with his own style. Elizabeth would have asked Dobby to make sure anyone with ill-intentions couldn't enter the bedroom and asked for an amulet keyed towards anyone wishing to harm her and add a notice-me-not spell keyed towards the Dursley family and Dudley's gang. She would have also asked Dobby to take them to a healer so they could get the damage the Dursleys had caused.

It just made sense considering Harry couldn't do magic until he was seventeen.

But of course, such a thing was impossible so Elizabeth decided to stop thinking about it.

She closed the book she was reading, looked out the window at the cloudless, starry sky, and then closed her eyes, an involuntary wish on the back of her mind before falling asleep.

She didn't notice the white phoenix flying past who heard her wish and granted it. The phoenix was a rare type. She traveled to many different dimensions searching for the one with great potential to change the wizarding world. The universe as a whole didn't know that JK Rowling was a witch who attended Hogwarts and wrote the story of Harry Potter after he achieved taking down the Dark Lord. The beautiful phoenix knew that Elizabeth would make some much-needed changes.

Chapter One,

When Elizabeth awoke the next morning, she knew something was different. The bedroom she was in didn't look at all familiar. Hell, it didn't even count as a bedroom. Everything was broken and out of place.

The furniture needed replacing along with everything else in the room. Everything was falling apart. None of it matched. The paint on the walls was peeling. All in all, the bedroom looked like a place that drug addicts would hang out.

As she continued to look around, she saw items from the Harry Potter world laying around. Trunks, books, quills, parchment, everything. She saw a boy that looked just like Harry Potter sleeping on the bed next to her.

"This isn't possible," she whispered stunned before opening the trunk with the initials A.L.P and looking through everything. She was stunned. She was really in the Harry Potter world.

"I guess wishes really do come true," she muttered before she was hit with thirteen years worth of memories. Instead of getting an owl just like Hedwig, Ana had a barn owl named Apollo. She was a Ravenclaw and was one of the Ravenclaw Chasers.

But what she was most amazed about was the bond shared between her and Harry. They could feel each other's emotions, read each other's minds, and felt each other's pain. They were closer than Fred and George. They weren't just twins, they were best friends.

"Time to put some of those thoughts in action," she said before she shook Harry awake.

"Ana, what time is it?" he asked as he hid his face under the pillow.

"After eight. Get up," she said yanking the sorry excuse of a blanket off of him.

"Ana!" he exclaimed as she laughed at him as he landed on the floor.

"I'm calling Dobby. Dobby!" she called out still smiling at her brother. She couldn't believe that she was Harry Potter's twin sister but she was going to enjoy it.

"Missy Ana," he squeaked as he hugged her and Harry.

"Hello, Dobby. I'd like to ask for your help in redecorating this room," she said watching as Harry stared at her before he smiled when he caught wind of her thoughts.

"Anything," Dobby swore to the two children who helped him when they were just twelve years old.

"Please make this room bigger and fix it up. Harry and I need our own space and our own bathroom. I'd like my side to be blue and white with the Ravenclaw crest and the Hogwarts crest," she said watching as he did as she asked.

Harry had asked for red and brown with the Gryffindor crest and Hogwarts crest. They also had their own bathrooms and their wardrobes and bookcases had an unlimited extension charm on them.

Dobby also put an ill-intention ward on the bedroom door so no one could come inside. He had also conjured an icebox and placed it between their beds with food and drinks so they wouldn't starve.

"Now, can you pop us over to St. Mungos? We need check-ups," she asked smiling as he grabbed hers and Harry's hands faster than she thought possible.

It took about two hours to finish up at the hospital and they had to be on calcium and nutrition potions for two months. Healer Andromeda sent a notice to Madam Pomfrey telling her that they needed those potions at all three meals. They weren't allowed to slack off. Healer Andromeda had told them if they even missed one potion that they would have problems when they got older. She didn't understand how Poppy could have missed the obvious abuse and neglect they suffered but she was going to help the Potter twins in any way she could.

After they left the hospital, they went to Gringotts for a credit card to their trust vaults since they couldn't get access to their family vaults until they were seventeen years old. Ana convinced Harry that they should get a lineage test so they knew actually what they would inherit. Ana herself only knew of the Potter, Peverell, and Black estates.

Lineage Results for Heir and Heiress Potter

Paternal: Potter, Peverell, Gryffindor, Emrys, and Black (through Godfather)

Maternal: Ravenclaw and Le Fay

Conquest: Slytherin

"Would you like to split the accounts equally?" Harry asked his twin when he had gotten over the shock.

"Agreed," Ana said before they chose the accounts they wanted. Harry got the Potter, Gryffindor, Emrys, and Slytherin estates, while Ana got the Black, Peverell, Le Fay, and Ravenclaw estates.

They requested their vaults be transferred to high security before requesting a credit card tied to their trust vaults. Unsurprisingly Harry asked for a red card while Ana requested a blue one. They were very proud of their House colors.

After they were finished with their business with the bank before they went shopping.

Ana bought a hair growing potion that would shorten to the preferred length but she has also loved long hair since there was so much you could do with it so she let it grow down to her waist before stopping it. She also bought a hair removing potion that she could use a total of six times before she didn't need it anymore. She was thankful for that because she wasn't a fan of hair in places except for her head. Well, she would keep a bikini wax on her girly bits because she didn't want to look like a little girl down there.

After she got a manicure and pedicure she went shopping for her wardrobe. She purchased seven pairs of everything she needed. Jeans, trousers for girls, skirts, shorts, capris, dresses, bras, underwear, bathing suits (bikini), long-sleeved shirts, tank tops, shirts in different styles, and countless other clothing items. She got coats, jackets, and leather crop jackets.

She also purchased heels, boots, sneakers, and sandals. Everything was in blues, reds, greens, greys, black, purple, and white.

Ana's wardrobe and shoes had charms to prevent damage and they would grow with her as she got taller so she didn't need to purchase another wardrobe until she finished school.

Ana also purchased an outfit for the Yule Ball. It was a red and black gown with matching heels with red diamond earrings.

After she did her wardrobe shopping, Ana purchased accessories, purses, and wallets. She also got her a wand holster with anti-summoning charms and keyed to her blood so no one could steal it from her. She also got one for Harry.

She also purchased a bracelet with charms embedded into it and it would stop anyone from attacking her. She also got a wrist cuff for Harry with the same charms. They were also charmed to let each other know if the other were in any danger.

She loved knowing that her wand was different from Harry's and Voldemort's. She loved that she wasn't the prophecy child but that didn't mean she wouldn't help her brother when the time came.

Anyway, Ana's wand was made of 11" long, made of Acacia, and possessed pixie tears and unicorn tail hair. It was great for charms and transfiguration. Her best classes were Charms, Transfiguration, Potions, Herbology, and Runes. She did Care of Magical Creatures for extra credit.

Ana knew she wanted to be a healer and teacher but that didn't mean she couldn't get Masteries in the subjects that interested her.

After she was done in Ollivander's shop, Ana purchased a new trunk with four compartments with anti-theft, waterproof, fireproof, feather-light, and unlimited extension charms on them. It also had a shrinking feature on it so she wouldn't have to carry it around. She'd suggest to Harry that he needed a new trunk also. Ana also got Ravenclaw school and makeup bags.

Her last stop was Flourish and Blotts for some books. She purchased books on Magical Oaths, Wizarding Etiquette and Manners, International Relations, Spell Creation, Healing, Curse breaking, Warding, Magical and Mundane Languages, Elemental Magic, Ancient Magic, and Rituals. She also got more books on Charms, Defence, Arithmancy, Transfiguration, Potions, Runes, Magical Creatures, Alchemy, History of Magic, Legilimency And Occlumency, Wandless Magic, and Wizarding Travel.

She didn't bother with Muggle Studies or Divination as they were stupid considering she was a half-blood and didn't need to learn anything about muggles. Besides that, that class was fifty years in the past. Divination was a waste of time unless you were a seer yourself.

After she was finished shopping, Ana went to find Harry. She found him at the ice cream shop. No surprise there.

"Did you buy the whole Alley?" he asked amused.

"Of course not," she said laughing. "I purchased a wand holster for you that has anti-summoning charms and is keyed towards your blood so you won't have to worry about losing your wand. You also need a new trunk and school bag because yours has too much wear and tear," she said as she ordered her ice cream.

"I know. I'll buy them after we rest for a little while. I hate shopping," he said slouching in his seat.

"I know but we needed new clothes," she said firmly.

An hour later they were back at the Dursley home. They couldn't wait to leave even if their lives would be easier from now on.

Chapter Two,

The next days passed slowly. Ana spent most of the time re-reading the first through third-year books. She practiced writing calligraphy with quills to get it just right and neater than before. Aside from that, Ana really wasn't from the magical world so she needed to learn first hand. She was surprised at her Patronus. She figured it would be a doe but it turned out to be a dragon. Ana wasn't complaining considering there needed to be some differences between her and Harry.

Ana had even convinced Harry to finally apply himself and to stop hiding his intelligence. It would do him no favors when he graduates and started looking for a job. The Dursley family didn't understand magical grades. Ana also pointed out to Harry that he didn't need to dumb himself down just to appease his friends. If he really felt he couldn't show his intelligence from his friends then they weren't really his friends.

Ana had also convinced Harry to get his hair styled so it wouldn't bother him so much. Now his hair had layers and was shorter making it seem like he just got shagged look. She's been teasing him for weeks about making the witches and some wizards crazy with lust. It got her hit over the head with a pillow but it was still amusing.

It was a week before their birthday, and the Weasley's sent a letter letting them know that they were picking them up a week before the Quidditch World Cup. Ana may have seen it in the movies but it will be so much better now that she's in the Harry Potter world. She may be here to make life easier for Harry but she was going to have fun while she's at it. She just didn't want to date anyone aside from Charlie Weasley. No one else appealed to her.

Anyway, the last week has been amusing because the Dursleys can't harm them or come into their bedroom. Every time they try, they get a really confused look on their faces before leaving them alone. Dobby has also been making the Dursleys' lives miserable. Their clothes turned to rags every time they get dressed, their food changes to nasty and bland, and he gave them cursed objects that made them feel what Ana and Harry have felt for the last thirteen years.

It's safe to say that they are learning their lesson.

It was the day the Weasley's were meant to arrive, and they had just packed their trunks when they heard a loud noise. They called Dobby to magically hide the door as they shrunk their trunks, placing them inside their pockets, and headed into the living room.

Ana was so happy she decided not to wear heels as they were traveling by Floo network. She didn't want to injure herself. Harry looked a lot more confident now that he had his own wardrobe. He carried himself more self-assuredly.

As they entered the living room, they couldn't help but burst out laughing at the state of the once clean area. It was covered in soot.

"Ana, Harry, are you ready to leave?" Mr. Weasley asked as his boys couldn't take their eyes off of Ana. She was even more beautiful now that she has gotten a growth spurt and was on potions to help with what the Dursleys had done to them.

"Get your eyes off of my sister and keep your hands to yourself. If you even think of touching Ana, I'll prank you mercilessly," Harry promised as he stepped in front of Ana, blocking their view. After Ana and Harry went shopping, they went back a week later and found some journals and other items belonging to their parents. Prank journals, another Marauders Map for Ana, they even had the journals from their school years.

It was amazing to finally know how their parents were. It just hadn't been the same when other people told them about their parents.

Anyway, Ana took the journals that her mother had on Charms and Potions that had her own creations and she also had her father's journals on Transfiguration that also had his own spells he had invented. She made sure to copy the journals for Harry but kept the originals.

They had even found their baby books and baby blankets that their mother had knitted for them. They had their names stitched into the hem of the blankets. Ana's was purple, white, and grey, while Harry's had been blue, ivory, and grey.

"Yeah, we're ready," Ana said as she placed a hand on Harry's shoulder to calm him down.

When she flooed into the Weasley home, Ana had to quickly step out of the way before Harry could knock her over. It amazed her how he was so graceful on a broom but he couldn't manage the Floo Network.

It was time for the Summer break to really begin.
