Summary: Alex Potter is sent back to the past so she could save her world.
Chapter 1: The Wish and Traveling Back
Lady Alexandra Potter looked around the battlefield and couldn't believe how much magical blood has been spilled. She couldn't help but feel sorry for the Dark Lord Voldemort, also known as Tom Marvolo Riddle. He was a very powerful half-blood wizard and he had so much potential before he split his soul into seven pieces. After he had split his soul, his sanity and looks suffered greatly.
Alexandra wished she could go back to her fourth year and do everything over. She would cut ties with Dumbledore, Mrs. Weasley, and her youngest son and daughter, Ron and Ginny.
She had found out just recently that they have been using her ever since she re-entered the wizarding world at age eleven, and all for her money and her family lines. Plus, with her generosity and compassion, she would help the Weasley family out of poverty. Well, Alexandra was never going to let anyone use her like that.
She would also help find a ritual to help Tom Riddle get his power back, along with his looks and sanity. But to do that, she would have to find out how to join all his Horcruxes together and put them back where they belong.
Alexandra would so like the chance to convince Tom to change the wizarding world by going into politics.
Like for instance, creating magical orphanages for children and creatures. Also, magical primary schools and villages for magical creatures.
Alexandra would also love for wizarding holidays and rituals would be made legal. Their holidays are Imbolc, Beltane, Mabon, Samhain, and Yule.
Imbolc was a sacred day for both the Light and Dark. It's a celebration of life and rebirth. Celebrating the wellbeing of magic in the crops and babies. It's a renewal of life, energy, and strength. It's also a ritualized purification baths and celebratory bonfires.
Beltane is in May and it's a ritual for health, fertility, and prosperity. It involves ritualistic sex. It's the only thing about the holiday that Alexandra doesn't like but she would never judge other people who participate in it willingly. She mainly participates in the blessing of the fields of Lady Magic and her ancestors.
Monbon is in September, it's a welcoming of the Dark. Recognizing that life is a cycle and that Death is a natural part of life. Night is as necessary as Day. Winter lets the Earth rest in preparation for the coming Summer.
Samhain is in November and while some people veiw it as Necromancy, but it's really a time to meditate. A time to seek the presence of people you love, who has passed on to the afterlife.
And finally, Yule which is in December. It's a time for feasting and giving. Giving thanks to Lady Magic herself in a burnt offering of meat and grain of life. A Yule log burns for days to symbolize the perseverance of life through the cold, dark winter. It's a gathering of family, friends, and allies to always prove that they will be there for each other through the difficult season. It's a time to acknowledge Lady Magic and how she supports her blessed children and helps them to survive.
Alexandra just didn't understand how the Ministry of Magic could put shackles on magic and rituals. Magic is supposed to be free, with no restrictions.
She knew that there were some spells that shouldn't be used as people wished, actions have consequences. But the unforgivable curses can be used, if only for the right reasons.
The Killing Curse could be used as a quick and painless death if people are in so much pain in their final days. Why not give them death with dignity?
The Imperius Curse could be used in a hostage situation or a suicide attempt. And finally, the Cruciatus Curse could jump-start someone's heart.
Anyway, Alexandra got off-topic. She would get a trial for Sirius after she was made to participate in the Triwizard Tournament because then she would be emancipated that's to three Headmasters and three minstery employees. She would claim her birthright. She still couldn't believe that someone would hide that from her, she could've gotten out of the Dursleys so much sooner.
"Dear Lady Magic, I wish I could change things," Alexandra prayed as she closed her eyes.
"Do you really wish that child?" she heard a beautiful voice ask. Alexandra looked up startled and couldn't believe what she was seeing. A beautiful woman made up of pure magic was floating in front of her.
"Yes. Are you Lady Magic?" she asked stunned.
"Yes, I am. I'm going to grant you your wish young one. But you must promise to practice the Olde Ways and in return, I'll take the bindings off your magical core," Lady Magic said and Alexandra was so greatful to Lady Magic that she nodded.
"On my honor, I promise," Alexandra firmly stated.
"Very good young one. And because you're one of my top five favorites, I'm going to send you to the summer of your fourth year of Hogwarts, about a month away before you start school. And stop holding yourself back in your classes because that can be very dangerous for your magic. And another gift is going to be your Animagus form, you're going to be a Hebridean Black Dragon. Just don't abuse that gift, or I'll bind it," Lady Magic warned.
"Thank you Lady Magic and I won't," Alexandra said just as a blast of pure white magic enveloped her.
Alexandra felt like she was falling and before she knew it, she was inside her 14-year-old body. She still remembered everything she experienced in the future.
As she looked around, she noticed that there were potions on her bedside table and she picked them up curious as to what they were.
They were potions for hair growth, hair tamer, eye corrector, body hair remover, and an advanced nutrition potion to cancel the malnutrition she had suffered at the hands of her relatives.
She found a little note under them...This is my gift for you, now you can finally be the beautiful young lady I know you are. Have fun my childe. Lady Magic.
"Thank you, my lady," Alexandra whispered and she felt a slight breeze against her forehead like someone had kissed her.
She quickly took the potions and watched stunned at the results she saw in the mirror.
Her beautiful raven black hair grew to her waist in tamed gorgeous waves. There was no visible hair on her body, she could see perfectly, and she grew to 5'7.
"Wow," she breathed. "And now it's time for a makeover and a shopping spree," Alexandra said smirking. It was finally time to show her true self.
AN: I know she's gonna sound a little vain but who cares. Also, if you don't like reading every little detail, then please skip it. It won't bother me if you do because I know not everyone likes all the details. And finally, the abbreviations for the vaults stand for Potter Trust, or in Pev's case stands for Peverell, and so on. She won't get access to the Family vaults until she's an adult.
Chapter 2: Gringotts
Alexandra waved her hand over her body while picturing what she wanted and when she opened her eyes, she saw what she envisioned. She was wearing a maroon red cotton long-sleeved shirt, brown leather jacket, dark blue ripped skinny jeans, brown ankle boots, and her hair was in a simple braid with her bangs framing her face.
She had decided not to wear make-up because one, she's gonna have a long day ahead of her, and two, she simply didn't need it. Why wear make-up when she was already beautiful without it?
Alexandra quickly checked for tracking charms and disabled them from her trunk and cloak. She quickly packed up everything she owned, well aside from Dudley's oversized castoffs that had been forced on her for years, and walked downstairs after shrinking her trunk.
"I'm leaving. And don't worry I'm never coming back, not that I would want to be here," Alexandra said glaring at her sorry excuse of an aunt and uncle.
She didn't know it, but her glare terrified them so much that they could only nod. They didn't even say anything about the changes in her or the outfit she wore. But they couldn't deny that they wished she had remained if only for the money they received every month that they kept her.
"Oh, and you can goodbye to my money, and be prepared for a lawsuit because I'm going to get back every dime you spent, even if it means selling this house. And don't try to get out of it because I have the bank statements as proof and I have pictures of the abuse," Alexandra warned because as soon as she knew what a camera was, she had started taking pictures of the bruises and scars. She just never got around to suing them in the future because of the war.
Without waiting for a response, Alexandra turned and headed out the door and down the street. She looked around to make sure that no muggles can see her, she called for the Knight Bus. She only had to wait about five seconds before it zoomed right in front of her.
"Welcome to the Knight Bus, emergency transport for stranded witches and wizards, my name is Stan Shunpike and I will be your conductor this morning Miss," Alexandra couldn't help but smile at seeing Stan again. It was just awful to imagine him under the imperious curse as he had been in the future. He was such a nice guy, but if Alexandra has it her way, then that future was never going to happen.
"Good morning Stan, I'm Alexandra, but call me Alex. I need to get to The Leaky Cauldron, please," she said as she smiled.
"Right away Miss. Alex and that'll be 11 sickles," he said as he stepped aside to let her pass. Alex quickly paid, found a seat, and braced herself.
"So what are you doing up at this hour?" he asked as it was only a little after six.
"I need to go to Gringotts and afterward, shopping," Alex explained.
"Oh, alright," Stan said not needing her to explain anymore. He knew that you never get in the way of a witch while she's planning to shop. But that's for almost all young girls and women.
Just as he was going to say something, they stopped at The Leaky Cauldron.
"Thank you for the ride, Stan. Have a nice day," Alex said as he stepped off the bus.
"You too Miss. Alex," he said just before they zoomed away.
"Miss. Potter! What are you doing here?" Tom asked smiling.
"I need to go to Gringotts, then shopping. But after I'm done, may I rent a room for the rest of the summer?" she asked smiling.
"Of course," he said as she headed to the wall that hid Diagon Alley.
"Thank you," she said as she tapped the familiar sequence. No matter how many times she visited Diagon Alley, it never failed at stunning her with how amazing everything was.
She looked around the shops before going to Gringotts. She wanted to make sure that they had stuff she wanted. Some stores run out of stock, so she wanted to make sure so she wouldn't waste her time.
As she entered the lobby, she couldn't help but look at everyone and notice that they were alive. It's gonna take a little time to adjust to seeing old classmates and dormmates that hadn't survived the war.
"Hello, I need to see my account manager, please," Alex requested as she stood in front of the teller. The only goblin she didn't like was Griphook, as he had betrayed her when she was doing a very important mission.
"Of course Heiress Potter," he said before leading her to Silverax's office. As they entered his office, she looked around and saw some stunning treasures. Rubies, emeralds, diamonds, swords, daggers, and so much more.
"Heiress Potter is here to see you Silverax," the teller said gruffly.
"I see that Zyk, thank you, you may go," Silverax said.
"Have a seat Heiress Potter," he said motioning to a chair.
"What can I do for you today, Heiress Potter?" he asked.
"I need a lineage test, then I need to go down to my trust vault," she said point-blank because she knew that goblins didn't wait around for anything.
"Okay. Now, you need to drop three drops of blood on this parchment, and you don't really need to go all the way down to your vaults. In the past year, we have made credit cards like the muggle world, but it works in either world. So, if you don't have muggle money, then you can just use your Gringotts card," he explained while giving her a piece of parchment and a dagger.
"I'd like one of those please," Alex said before pricking her figure. She was stunned when she saw her results.
Alexandra was tunned at her investments, and at some of her titles. She had no idea what she was going to do with everything. But she was furious with the stolen items.
"How can I get the stolen items back?" she asked through clenched teeth.
"You just need to call them to you," Silverax explained. But he didn't have any idea how her belongings were stolen, that should've been impossible.
"I, Heiress Alexandra Lilian Potter-Black call forth all stolen items from the Potter family and my trust vault. So mote it be." There was a bright blinding light before it cleared. As she picked up the items, she noticed that her parent's wands felt the same as hers.
"What color credit cards would you like for each vault?" Silverax asked getting back to business.
"Oh, right. I would like red for Potter, soft gold for Gryffindor, grey for black, white for Hufflepuff, emerald green for Slytherin, blue for Gaunt, and finally purple for Quirrell." Alex requested.
"Okay, now put a drop of blood on each card and it'll only have your magical signature. And don't worry about losing them, they will automatically return to you," Silverax asked explained.
"Thank you and have a profitable day," Alex said standing after she did as instructed.
"You're welcome Heiress Potter-Black," Silverax said as she left.
AN: I forgot to mention, just so you know, Hedwig is a Moon owl in this story. I thought that Alex deserved to have a magical familiar. I made up Music Through the Ages. And whoever whats to see the future teachers, electives, and timetables for this story, go look at my profile. and again, if you don't like all the details, please skip it.
Chapter 3: Shopping Spree
After Alex left the bank she headed towards Bags, Pouches, Cases, and Trunks for all Occasions for a new trunk, makeup case, toiletry bag, and a potion case.
"Hello, Heiress Potter. What can I do for you today?" the shopkeeper greeted when she entered the shop.
"Hello. I would like a twelve compartment trunk in black walnut with gold handles with my initials A.L.P.B craved elegantly on the top along with every protection charm there is. I would also like it to have a limitless extension, feather-light, and shrinking charms activated by touch," Alex requested.
"Of course, anything else?" he asked.
"Yes. I would like a purple and white makeup case, a blue and lavender toiletry bag, a black and gold potion case, and a red and white backpack with limitless extension and anti-theft charms,"
"Alright, I'll be back with you in 15 minutes," the shopkeeper said grinning because he was gonna make a small fortune from her purchases.
When the shopkeeper came back with her things, she was speechless. She knew that he did incredible work in the future, but this was simply stunning.
"This is stunning work," she complimented.
"Thank you," he said beaming. But he was a little let down that she was the only one with manners as his other customers were either too busy or just rude to say thank you.
"No, thank you," Alex said as she paid for everything but will a little surprise for him in his vault.
"There's gonna be a surprise for you in your vault as a thank you for all your help," she said as she left before he could protest.
Then, she headed to Madam Malkin's Robes for All Occasions for her new Hogwarts uniform and a casual wardrobe. Next, she went to Twilfitt and Tatting's for the more formal wardrobe, along with her Yule dress robes. She chose a gorgeous royal purple ball gown with a sweetheart sweep train with matching strappy heels, along with simple diamond teardrop earrings and a matching necklace. She also got some Ukrainian Ironbelly dragonhide. A wallet, purse, ankle boots, heels, jackets, skirts, pants, and photo albums.
Next up was Flourish & Blotts. She bought everything she could think of. The Dragon Riders Series, The Tales of Beedle The Bard, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Potions, including Potions for Beginners, which included basic safety for your workstation, how to avoid ingredient contamination, and which way to use each tool and some basics about colors of potions, measuring amounts of ingredients and how to work with tricky ones. The second one was on potion techniques, it explains why you needed to do what in certain situations, reaction tables for common potion ingredients, when to harvest which ingredient if you didn't buy them at an apothecary, and instructions for common potions that everybody should know. It should get everybody through the OWLs with at least an E in the subject if they did everything the books said. Finally, she bought the last potions book she would need. It was for the NEWT's level and some higher-level potions.
Then, she continued to buy everything on Transfiguration, Charms, DADA, Ancient Runes, History of Magic, Astronomy, Herbology, COMC, Healing, Wizarding Laws, Wizarding Customs, and Etiquette. Lastly, she bought books on International Relations, Healing, Curse breaking, Warding, Elemental Magic, Ancient magic, Rituals, Spell Creation, Magical Languages, and Arithmancy.
Then, she went to Magical Menagerie to get a new owl stand and treats for Hedwig. She thought about getting a mate for her, but she decided against it, at least for now. Next, she went to Ollivanders and bought a blue wand holster keyed to her blood and magical signature, along with an anti-theft charm on it.
Then, she went to Potage's Cauldron Shop and Slug and Jiggers Apothecary for a new cauldron, ingredients, and potions. Headache reliever, stomach soothers, pepper ups, allergic reaction creams, muscle soothers, vitamins, calming draughts, skincare products, hair care products, pain relievers, and throat relievers.
Lastly, she went to Wiseacre's Wizarding Equipment for some ink in all her favorite colors, neverending parchment that grew to the length needed, and three different kinds of quills designed to never damage. Griffin, Peacock, and Falcon.
After Alex was done shopping in Diagon, she went back to The Leaky Cauldron for lunch.
"Well, you look tired already," Tom greeted her when she entered.
"I am. Who knew shopping could be so tiring? I ain't even done yet," she grumbled as she sat down.
"What would you like for lunch?" he asked smiling.
"Turkey wrap, salad, and water please," she requested.
"Coming right up," he said still smiling. Alex didn't know how someone was so cheery but she wasn't complaining.
Five minutes later, she felt someone staring at her and she lifted her head. He was the most handsome boy she's ever seen. She just knew that he was her soulmate, Theo Nott.
"Hello, Heiress Potter," he greeted as he joined her.
"Hello, Heir Nott," she smiled in kind.
"Now, that's over, may I call you Alexandra?" he asked smiling.
"No, but you can call me either Alex or Ria. Alexandra just makes me feel like I'm in trouble," she said smiling just as Tom brought her lunch over.
"I bet. So, Ria, how come I've never felt our connection before?" he asked.
"That's a little complicated and a long story, so I'll tell you when we have more time," Alex said smiling.
"I can live with that. Anyway, are you done shopping?" he asked when he saw her trunk.
"Nope. Well, for Hogwarts yes, but I still have a lot of shopping to do," she said frowning a little as she was ready for a nap.
"Why the frown?" he asked as he didn't like her having that expression on her face.
"I'm just tired and ready for a nap," she told him just as she finished eating.
"Yeah, you look like it," Theo said frowning slightly.
"Well, Theo, I'll see you at Hogwarts," Alex said as she stood and paid for lunch.
"You see Ria," he said taking her hand and kissing it, smiling when he saw her blush rosy red.
Alex took the bus to Barnes and Noble to get more books because Merlin knows there's nothing to do in the castle. She bought every collection and Series of Anne Rice, Charles Dickens, Jane Austin, William Shakespeare, The Chronicles of Narnia, The Song of Fire and Ice, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, The Hunger Games, Redwall, Little House on the Prairie, The Lunar Chronicles, The Wheel of Time, The Raven Cycle, A Series of Unfortunate Events, Inheritance Cycle, Magic Tree House, The Heroes of Olympus, The Twilight Saga, The Seven Realms, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Goosebumps, and The Sword of Truth. Then, she bought fairytale books, Alice and Wonderland, Cinderella, Snow White, and the Seven Dwarfs, Little Red Riding Hood, and Peter Pan.
Before she left Barnes and Noble, she also bought every book they had on Science, Design, and Technology, English, Cultural Language, Debate, World History, Financial Management, Muggle Law, Art and Design, Mathematics, which include pre-algebra, basic algebra, and advanced algebra. She also got books are landscaping and gardening.
Next, she went to JCPenny for a muggle wardrobe and accessories. Then she went to Payless to get every pair of shoes she could imagine. Then, she headed to Staples for a pen and pencil case, jell pens, pencils, pencil sharpener, highlighters, three-ring binder, notebooks, erasers, index cards, along with the box, plastic folders, white-out, and post-its.
Then she headed to Target to get some board games. Monopoly, Chess (she planned on getting a magical one too), Scrabble, Battleship, 7 Wonders, Trivial Pursuit, Twister, and Sorry!. Then she went to the electronics store for an MP3 player, radio, cellphone, laptop, video recorders, digital cameras, and camcorders. Alex was so happy that she knew which runes to use to get her electronics to work, otherwise, she'd be out of luck.
Next, she went to Music Through the Ages for every CD on Country, Pop, R&B, and Classical music. Then, she headed to Hobby Lobby for art supplies. Sketch pad, paint canvas, and an art kit that has everything she could need. She was so glad that she knew the duplicating charm because then she'll never have a chance to be bored.
Lastly, she went to Bath & Bodyworks to get the whole line of Japanese Cherry Blossom, along with Rose and Jasmine shampoo and conditioner. She also noticed that they also sold candles, so she bought a lot of the Cedarwood Vanilla scented candles.
Chapter 4: Explaining and Viewing Memories
Alex was patiently waiting for Sirius, Remus, and the Tonks family to arrive. She had written a letter to each one of them and asked them to meet her at The Leaky Cauldron.
Just as she opened the sixth compartment of her trunk which was the sitting and viewing room, there was a knock on the door. Considering only about six people knew which room she was in, she didn't have her wand in hand as she opened the door.
"Hi, come on in," Alex said smiling as she let Sirius, Remus, and the Tonks family in.
"Hi, Ria, how are you?" Sirius said as he smiled and hugged her. She had forgotten what it felt like to be held and safe in Sirius's arms.
"I'm better than I have been in a long time," she said as she breathed in his scent, it always had a calming effect on her.
"Hi, uncle Remy," she said hugging him and taking in his woodsy scent.
"You haven't called me that since you were one. I've missed you little cub," he whispered.
"I know you don't understand why you're here but I need to show you some very traumatic memories," Alex told everyone.
They watched as Alex stepped into her trunk before motioning them in after her. They looked at each other before shrugging and following her inside.
They saw her sitting in a very nice sitting room with the Potter family's pensieve in the center. They looked around and they were stunned, Alex did have a talent in inter design.
The walls her a baby blue, the hardwood was a soft grey, there were white curtains with illusionist windows, showing any type of view you wanted, which right now was a beautiful mountain view with a lake. There were black bookshelves with a few books but there were mostly memory viles. And finally, the furniture was a royal blue with an ebony coffee table with a glass top, along with a white fluffy rug under it.
"Wow. This is beautiful," Remus said smiling as he sat down.
"Thank you," she said smiling a beaming smile.
"Exactly how many compartments does this trunk have?" Nym asked.
"Twelve," Alex stated grinning.
"Nice. What are the compartments?" Sirius asked.
"Well, the first and second ones are for my school wardrobe and supplies. The third and fourth are a study and an everyday wardrobe. The fifth and sixth are a library and a sitting room/viewing room. We're in the sixth one right now. The seventh and eighth are a memory room, most of my parent's memories, and an art room. The ninth and tenth are for my electronics and keepsakes. I have runes on my electronics so magic can't mess with them. The keepsakes are for my most precious treasures, including mom and dad's journals and diaries. And finally, the eleventh and twelfth are a small apartment and a storage room. The storage room is for any extra things I either buy or receive, so kinda like a gift room," Alex finished explaining.
"Wow," Andy said.
"So, young lady, what do you need to explain and show us?" Ted asked.
"Um, I'm from the future and Lady Magic sent me back so I can change things. And if you don't believe me, view my memories," Alex told them.
"Um, I'd like to see your memories. Not that I don't believe you, I'm just having trouble grasping what you mean," Remus said.
"Sure, go on in," she said smiling. She watched as they went in and instead of watching them the whole time, she decided to read.
About two hours later, they came back out and looked pale.
"There is calming draught over there," she said motioning towards a shelf on the wall.
"Oh Merlin, how are you sane after all that?" Nym said hugging her.
"I'm honestly not entirely sure," she said frowning.
"Why haven't you done anything about the Horcruxes?" Sirius asked.
"Um, because I'm going to do a ritual and put them back inside Tom," Alex said slightly nervous.
"Why? He killed your parents," Remus said frowning.
"Because once upon a time, Tom had great goals. He wanted to separate the magical and muggle world. He wanted to stop the muggleborns and half-bloods from exposing our world. He also wanted to get magical children out of abusive homes considering that he was abused. And finally, he wanted to undo all the restrictions on magical creatures. But because he split his soul, he lost both his sanity and looks. I plan to help him regain his sanity and looks, and I'm hoping that I can convince him to change the world the political way instead of bloodshed," Alex finished explaining while hoping that her family wouldn't hate her.
"Wow. Those are amazing goals," Andy said smiling slightly. She might not be prejudiced against muggleborns and half-bloods, but she wasn't blind to the fact that they were in danger of being exposed because of all the traveling between worlds.
"Yeah, those sound amazing," Ted and Sirius said but Sirius was a little conflicted.
"Sirius, over there on the bookshelf are memories of my childhood. I want you to view them and tell me what you would've done," Alex said motioning towards the bookshelf while she took the first batch of memories out of the pensieve.
About an hour and a half later, everyone came out angry that people could treat a child like that. But they were glad that Alex was planning on getting revenge.
"How the hell could someone treat a child like that?" Ted asked through clenched teeth.
"I have no idea. Do you now understand why I agree with Tom's goals?" she asked.
"Yes Ria, we do. It's just gonna take some getting used to," Sirius said hugging her.
"So you don't hate me?" Alex said as her voice shook and everyone was shocked she asked that.
"Oh no angel, we love you," Remy said as he hugged her.
"I don't think I would survive if you hated me," Alex said hugging her uncle and the man she came to view as her father. Even if he technically is because he blood adopted her when she was born.
"We'll always support you even if we don't always agree with your choices," Sirius said kissing her head.
"I love you guys," she said smiling.
"We love you more," they said beaming.
