Chapter 44

Ari P.O.V

Saturday came round, and I'd managed to convince Cari and Faith to come with me and Autumn to folly farm. I'd convinced them tat there would be more than just Farm Animals there, and I hoped I was right but I didn't know as I hadn't been there since I was eight.

The hour long trip was filled with Autumn's exited chatter. "So, auntie Ari, when are you and uncle Vic getting married?" she asked innocently.

I started to choke on the sweet I'd been chewing, and Cari hit me on the back so I wouldn't loose too much concentration and swerve into oncoming traffic.

"When did you decide to call Vic uncle Vic?" I asked.

"Well, you're my Auntie, he's marrying you, that means he's going to be my uncle. Like uncle bob."

I almost laughed at that. Why they had changed rob to bob, I could quite clearly see. "Yes, well… we haven't talked about that yet." I said.

"Oh, ok." She said. Faith and Cari managed to keep her pleasantly occupied for the rest of the journey, seeing as I was in a world of my own. Quite dangerous, seeing as I was driving, but we got there alright.

Once there, we paid for admission, and headed in. "Where to first?" I asked Autumn. She'd been there for the first time last year, and she had loved it.

"This way! There are load's of animals this way! Including Foosa's! Like from Madagascar! And Lemurs!"

We followed her past the indoor fun fare, and towards where the go carts were. Autumn stopped.

"Auntie Ari! Can we go on them? Please?"

"Of course we can sweetheart." I said. We all went to queue up. It wasn't a long queue, and I was soon in one of the mini cars, Autumn beside me, and Cari and Faith in another two. We did a few laps, Autumn laughing all the way as I pushed the car as fast as it could go. I smiled, I was happy I could make her laugh.

After that, she dragged us to see some of the animals. These included the two she mentioned, Ocelot's, Zebra's and Giraffes. After admiring the Animals for a while, we had food. I spread the picnic blanket out on the grass, that was close to the climbing frames. Cari, Faith and I then got the boxes that contained the food, and also the drinks bottles out of the bags we'd brought.

"Can we go into the fun fair after this auntie Ari?" Autumn asked.

"Sure honey. If you finish before we do, you can go play on the climbing frame, Kay?"

"Kay." Autumn said. After that, she dug into her sandwich and her crisps and fruit. When she was done, she ran off.

"Don't go to far Autumn!" I called after her. She waved back, but kept on going until she reached the wooden frame that was based on a pirate fort/ship.

"So, I've brought a few extra things." Cari said, and she pulled out a sketch pad and a pencil from her bag. "How about we go over dress ideas?"

I smirked at her. "You're a bit eager, aren't you?"

"Oh come on! I've been your best friend through almost seven years now! I have every right to be excited."

"I may not have known you as long, but As your other closest girl friend, I also have a right to be excited." Faith said. "So, what style?"

I lay back on the blanket, a smile on my lips. "I've actually been thinking about this. I don't want the traditional big white wedding dress. I do have an idea in mind. It's quite a simple one actually."

"Explain." Cari said, pencil posed to draw.

"Well, the top will be corseted…" The conversation went on for a while.

"Is this it?" She asked, smiling.

I took the pad. "Oh Cari! It's perfect! This is definitely the dress I want! But where would I get it?"

"Leave that to me." Faith said. "My mam knows someone who specialises in making clothes. She's made several wedding dresses. Quite reasonable prices too."

"You'd do that Faith?"

"Course I would!" She said, and she hugged me.

Just then, my phone went off. I looked at the caller I.D. and smiled. I answered. "Hi Vic." I said.

"Hey kitten, I was just calling to see how you were."

"I'm fine Vic. Me and the girls are in Folly Farm keeping Autumn entertained."

"What the hell is that?"

"It's like a zoo of sorts. It has farm animals, as well as some animals from other countries. As well as a fun fair. Great place to take kids, and it keeps her happy. Guess what she's taken to calling you?"

"What?" He asked.

"Uncle Vic."

"What?"

"I choked on a sweet when she came out with that one. But her reasoning is brilliant."

"What's her reasoning?"

"You're marrying her Auntie Ari, so that means, you're going to be her Uncle, like Uncle Bob."

"You have a sister I don't know about?" He joked.

"No you idiot," I laughed, "Robert married James' sister."

"I guess Bob really is her Uncle then." Cari snickered.

"Cari, that joke got old long ago when it comes to Autumn." I said, but I still grinned.

"What joke?" Vic asked.

"The whole Bob really is her Uncle one."

He laughed. "I guess it would have by now. So, I'll call you later?"

"Yeah Vic, see you later. Love you."

"Love you too Arianwen."

I hung up. "You are so head over heels for him." Cari said.

"And proud. How did your parents handle meeting Logan?" I asked. We hadn't been able to talk about that yet.

"Dad threatened him, and mam asked what his favourite foods were."

"The same as Ari's parents then?" Faith asked.

"Yeah." Cari said. "I think Logan was impressed when he saw all of the awards dad had for Judo."

"Yeah?" I asked.

"Yeah. He was surprised when he was told that dad had once trained with the British team. But everything went fine. Dad's oblivious to the, well you know." She had spotted Autumn running over to us, and shut up.

"You ready to go into the funfair?" Faith asked her.

"Yeah Faith!" She laughed happily.

Three hours later we were in the gift shop, looking for a souvenir for Autumn before we left. Autumn discarded all the Folly Farm stationary and went straight for the soft toys. She went through all the shelves, looking, it seemed, for one in particular. After five minutes, I heard an excited yelp of joy. "Auntie Ari! I've found it!" She came running at me, in her hands was a miniature stuffed Ocelot. She held it up for me to see. "It was the last one there Auntie Ari!" I took it off her, and looked at the tag. I sighed in relief and smiled. It wasn't too expensive. "Alright. I'll go buy this for you then."

She bounced happily, and went to talk to Faith and Cari. I smiled shaking my head. Nothing could rain on her parade. I swear. I could have told her no, and she would have shrugged it off.

Five minutes later, we were all in the car, heading home.

A/N: Not extremely pleased with this, but it's kinda just a conecting chapter. Please review!
