Chapter 46

Ari P.O.V

I quite enjoyed learning at Xaviers. If I hadn't been so close to finishing my school career, I may have seriously thought of coming here to learn. It was quite different from the lessons in school back home, well at my school at least. The teachers seemed far more relaxed around the students, and the lessons were kept interesting.

Before I knew it, Saturday had come round, and it was time for me to go and meet up with Vic. Rogue, Kitty and some of the other girls were heading into town, so I caught a lift into town with them. They dropped me off a street away from the café that Vic had said we should meet up at. It was midday, and I had barely eaten, so I was glad that Vic had suggested a café.

I reached the place, just as Vic pulled up on his bike. I smiled. Wherever we were going later, we were going there on the bike. I loved riding with Vic. It was better than going alone.

"Hey kitten." He said, as he got off the bike. He wrapped an arm round my waist, and pulled me close to his body, before meeting my lips with his. I wrapped my arms around his neck, and deepened the kiss. My stomach rumbled. Vic pulled away, and chuckled. "Hungry kitten?"

"Sorta." I admitted sheepishly.

"Then lets go get lunch." he said, and with an arm still around my waist, he led me into the café. We spent our time in the café catching up, discussing things that he hadn't dared over the phone, or email, or web cam, such as his lighter jobs. He never even went into detail on them, but I didn't care. His job wasn't something I wanted the details on.

"How does your boss send you instructions?" I asked.

"What do you mean?"

"He's locked up isn't he? How does he do it?"

"Code. What others would see as a normal letter, I see as something different. Knowing him, he has a plan worked out to get out of there already."

"Will you be a part of it?" I asked him, wondering is a maximum security prison would be such a good thing to break into, even for Vic, but then I remembered the facility.

"Probably not. He won't need much to do it with. Just for a few small pieces of metal to reach him, and then he's out of there."

"Simple as that?" I asked incredulously.

"Simple as that." Vic nodded. He looked at my empty plate. "Ready to go?" He asked.

"Yep." I said.

Vic pulled me up from my seat, and we left the café. I jumped onto the bike behind him, and wrapped my arms around his waist, as he started up the engine.

It didn't take long to get to the apartment building that Vic had said he was staying at. When we did, he put his arm around my shoulder, and led me inside, and up to the top of the building.

I barely took in his apartment, before I was pulled once again against Vic's chest, but this time it was in a protective manor. "There's someone here." He said quietly.

I inhaled, and smelt two separate scents. Vic also took in a deep breath, and kind of relaxed, but he was still tense.

He moved me so that I was slightly behind him, and walked further into the apartment, to the living room area.

There was an old man, and a blue woman there. "What are you two doing here? Magneto, when did you get out of prison?" Vic demanded.

"Two days ago. We have come to investigate some very intriguing rumours that we have heard about you."

"What rumours are they then?"

"That you're engaged, or at least seriously involved with a girl. I can see there may be some partial truth to them." The man, Magneto, looked at me.

"They would be right then." Vic said. He put his arm around me once more, bringing me to his side. "This is Arianwen. My mate." he introduced.

"Hello." I said, smiling. This was a hell of a coincidence, first we were talking about him breaking out, then we find out he has already done so, and come to see if rumours about me and Vic being together are true. Why do we seem to get interrupted?
