AN: I was thinking on what pairing I would want to do and I have narrowed it down to either Izuna x Ino or Izuna x Sakura. Didnt want to do Izuna x Hinata because I honestly dont know how i would write that. Either way if you have a suggestion for a ship I would be open to suggestions as this chapter will go from Izuna's 1st birthday to right before he starts the academy.
With that being said lets get into the next chapter!
June 29th year after the 9 tails attack.
Izuna POV
"Happy birthday Izuna! We have to get you dressed now the rest of the people I invited for your special day will be here soon." My mom said as I woke up. I then complied in getting up and having her put a dark blue shirt with the symbol of our clan on the back, as well as some black shorts.
Even though I am only just turning one today im able to walk and talk better than most kids can by the time they're three, Many Uchihas have told me i look and act similar to this older kid in the clan named Itachi. I dont really see how though because i've met Itachi a few times and he seems really boring, he never wants to play like all the other kids his age.
As my mom and i walked into the living room there was a knock at the door. "I'll get it mom." I say as I run to the door excited to see who it is, I was slightly dissapointed when I opened the door as all I saw was a tall slightly scary man that was the clan head. His name was Fugaku, I only knew this because I asked my mom about the scary guy that says hi to me a lot, he looked down at me with a smile and picked me up. "You're growing fast, almost as fast as Itachi, I am excited to see a strong Uchiha like you in this generation." He always spoke so weird around me I think he might not like me or something he compares me to Itachi every time I see him, which i found weird because me and Itachi barely interracted longer than 5 minutes. Fugaku set me down as his wife and itachi came in along with their youngest son Sasuke who was about a month younger than me.
"Im glad you guys could make it, Shisui should be here soon." My mom said from the kitchen as she was pulling something out of the oven. "You guys are free to sit down, I know Izuna and sasuke get along well and they havent seen eachother in a couple days why dont you let the kids play and we can all talk in the kitchen." My mom knew me well I really liked playing with sasuke and Itachi would'nt be as anti-social with sasuke there as well.
"Ok, Itachi watch sasuke and Izuna while me and your mother go into the kitchen with Tsuki." Fugaku said with a serious face towards his oldest son. "Ok father i will" Itachi replied in a monotone voice. 'Why is he so weird sometimes.' I thought to myself. Itachi kept looking at me in a weird way, like he was trying to figure something out. I was just ready for Shisui to get here he is way more fun to be around than Itachi, Plus he plays with me a lot, Shisui is so cool he is really fast to. I think he might be the fastest in the village.
While I was thinking that I heard a knock at the door. So I ran as fast as I could to open it, but when I opened the door I didnt see anyone there. "Huh, who knocked on the door? wha-" I was cut off as a kid slightly older than Itachi picked me up from behind. "looking for me little buddy." Shisui said with a big grin on his face. "Yes I was you meanie." I say while pouting. "Aww im sorry buddy i didnt mean to be mean." Shisui said while putting me down. "I accept your apology but now you have to teach me how to be fast like you." I say while hiding my devious smirk because my plan had worked. "fine, but not till you enter the academy." "hmph, fineeee"
"Izuna stop bothering Shisui and come here." my mom said. I immediatly went to where she was in the kitchen and saw a big cake with 1 candle on it. The group all sang me happy birthday and my mom told me to make a wish. I wished to become one of the strongest shinobi to ever live. If only id known how true that wish would eventually come to be.
Winter 3 years after the ninetails attack
It was really cold outside and I was not that prepared for this weather. I was currently walking through the uchiha compound with my mother we had been called into the Clan heads office for some reason. "Im sorry Izuna i didnt think it would be this cold, Take my jacket." My mother says as she wraps her warm coat around me. "T-thank you mom." I say while shivering from the snow. once we got to the Clan heads office we immediatly walked inside to see Fugaku and his oldest son Itachi waiting for us alone. "Fugaku why have you called us here? Is something the matter?" "I asked him to call you two here because i want the truth from the both of you." Itachi said in a scary tone "I had suspicions since his first birthday but now its almost impossible to deny, Izuna looks just like I did at his age." Itachi practically yells.
'What did he mean? I look like him? But how could I look like Itachi when even Sasuke didnt and they were related by blood? Itachi must be crazy, my mom always told me my dad was a strong Uchiha that she met in the police force that fought in the third great ninja war. Never telling me he was dead but never denying it.' "What do you mean Itachi how could I look like you we arent even related?" I said with genuine confusion.
"Oh so he doesnt know? Im geussing that means mom doesnt either, right father?" itachi says looking back at Fugaku who had his head down in what appeared to be shame. I looked to my left and saw my mother holding her head down in a similar manner. It was then that I finally realised it, why fugaku compared me to itachi, why others said I looked and acted like he did. But no it couldnt be true why would my mom lie to me like that Fugaku couldnt possibly be my father. Is what i told myself but seeing how they were both acting I knew it had to be true.
"Im sorry Itachi, Im sorry Izuna neither of you were supposed to ever find out." My mother said putting the final nail in the coffin. It was true, I was Fugaku's son. "why would you lie to me mom, why wouldnt you tell me." I cried out while pulling my hand away from her. I felt an intense pain in my eyes, as everything in the room became clearer. "agh why does it hurt." were the last words I said as I lost conciousness.
3rd person pov
The three Uchihas were astounded at what had just happened. They all saw it and knew Izuna had awoken his sharingan, Earlier than Itachi had at that. "Well we know hes strong enough to not die from awakening the sharingan as a toddler." Itachi says coldly. "How did this even happen you two" Itachi says while motioning to the two others awake in the room. "I met her in the war and when we got back to the village we grew closer through police work, We finally made a mistake and slept together thus causing Izuna." Fugaku says with palpable shame in his voice. "I dont think it was a mistake Fugaku Izuna is a great child and the best thing that has ever happened to me i cant believe you would call our son a 'Mistake' to try and save face with your other child!"
"Wow not only do you treat your second, wait Izuna is older, Third son terribly in comparrison to me but you arent even in the second ones life." Itachi says seething with anger. "I cant believe two adults could act so much like children, You couldnt keep it in your pants father, and you Tsuki you could have tried to at least explain to my mother that you fucked her husband and had a child with him. You even invited us to his birthdays, no wonder Izuna and Sasuke get along like brothers. They are brothers."
"Im sorry Itachi I never wanted to hurt your mother or your fathers reputation so we kept it a secret, This is my responsibility and as such I will take a punishment from your family." Tsuki said shocking itachi.
"Im glad you at least know what youve done wrong, I am still upset with you Tsuki, know that. But that does not mean you deserve punishment you were not the one with a wife and child. All i want from you is to tell my mother the truth she does not deserve to be left in the dark any longer." Itachi said his face softening towards Tsuki, then Immediatly hardening as he turns to his father. "As for you father I want you to tell the whole clan as well as mother what you have done and repent for your sins, this is not to be told to Sasuke though, I dont want him to know about this, id prefer Izuna not knowing but obviously that is out of the question now."
"Itachi that will ruin our reputation, I may even lose my spot as clan leader if this gets out. I know what i did was terrible but please son forgive me." Fugaku said pleading to his oldest childs anger filled form. "Fugaku I dont think you understand, Either you tell the clan or I tell them all and expose your secret to the world in a much worse manner." Itachi says while moving Izuna into a comfortable seat and trying to wake him up.
"I understand son, I will tell the clan, Including your mother-" interrupting Fugaku Itachi says "I want you to tell her together. You should both be there to own up to your sins together. Now on another matter, Tsuki."
"Yes Itachi?" "I would like to have Izuna move in with me personally, I will be moving out of my fathers home and would like to help him grow stronger as he will be under constant scrutiny after my father exposes his secrets, I obviously wont keep your child from you but I want him to be strong enough to survive the hellish life you two have damned him to." Itachi says while caring for Izuna who hit his head as he fell.
"I understand, as long as I can see him I am fine with it. Thank you for caring for your brother even though you have no responsibility for him." Tsuki says with tears in her eyes. "I will let you see him any time you want but I will be subjecting him to training worse than anything he has ever been through, but as ive seen from his little display he seems quite promising as a shinobi." Itachi says looking towards Tsuki with a small smile.
"Itachi why are you moving out of our house, think of what it would do to your mother." Upon hearing this Itachi walks over and smacks his father in the face. "How dare you think about my fucking mother you shitty excuse for a husband and father. somebody has to fix your problems because you dont know how to not commit adultery." Itachi says while activating his sharingan on accident in anger.
"As far as im concerned this conversation is over, I am taking Izuna and I will bring him by your house soon to collect his things Tsuki." Itachi says while leaving Fugaku's office. "Oh yeah and Tsuki. Nice sense of humor with Izuna's name." Itachi says looking back with a deadly chill in his voice, scaring even his father.
Spring 4 years after the 9 tails attack
Izuna POV
Its been a couple of weeks since I moved in with Ita- I mean my brother. Its hard to call him that since I found out Fugaku was my father. He did make sure I knew not to tell Sasuke we were related. Itachi has grown to be better as a brother towards me, I know he is trying to at least. The training we do is terrible though my 3 year old body was not meant to handle this strain. He says well do the real training when im older. I do get to spend more time with Shisui though, he is finally teaching me to be fast like him.
"Izuna, come down for breakfast!" Itachi yelled up the stairs. I complied with his demand and went down to eat whatever he had made that morning. Upon exiting the stairwell my nose was assaulted with the magnificent scent of bacon and eggs. "Yum it smells good. Thank you for the food Itachi." Looking towards me Itachi smiled. "I made it full of protein for your growing body, Today were going to give your physical training a break. Today is the day we start working on your chakra control, if you pick it up as good as I did we will check your chakra natures next week."
I was so excited ive been wanting to know what chakra natures I was good at for so long. "Im so excited Itachi how are we going to work on my chakra control?" "Well first im going to teach you the leaf chakra exercise and then you are going to practice all day while we go and run some errands." Itachi said while smiling at his brother that looked very similar to him. 'We need to find a way for him to wear his hair so he doesnt look as much like me' Itachi thought to himself trying to find the best way to hide Izuna's true lineage from sasuke. 'I know ill get him to wear his hair like the original Izuna did.'
"Izuna?" I looked up at my brother "Yeah Itachi?" "How about we have you wear your hair like your namesake? The original Izuna Uchiha,Madaras brother." "Ok Itachi that sounds cool."I reply with a big smile on my face.
After breakfast
"Ok Izuna Focus on feeling your chakra and moving it towards your forehead to make the leaf im holding to it stick." Itachi watches as I attempt to move my chakra to make the leaf stick. "I think I have it Itachi, Remove your hand." Itachi did as I asked and I saw his impressed look indicating that I had indeed succeeded in the exercise. "Im very impressed Izuna, you got it on your first try. now we need to get you to do it while moving." I groan and get back to the exercise
"Ok Izuna today we are going to get you a haircut, buy groceries, and lastly visit the hokage." "Understood Itachi." I reply as I am focusing my chakra on holding the leaf onto my forehead. "Well lets get going" Itachi says as I follow him towards the barber.
"How do you like it little buddy?" The Uchiha barber asks after finishing my haircut. "I look awesome" I say with a giant grin. "How much do I owe you?" Itachi asks. "nothing you two have been through enough, im glad you are looking out for your brother." The nice barber says "just make sure you two keep coming back here." "Have a great day nice barber man." I say as we leave the shop and head off to buy groceries.
The Hokages Office
Me and Itachi walked into the hokages office late in the afternoon. I was getting tired of holding the leaf on my forehead so big brother told me I could stop so that i didnt get too chakra exhausted. "Hello Itachi and-? A mini Izuna Uchiha?" "Yeah how did you know my name?" I asked in surprise. "I dont think he actually knew your name he just knows what the original looked like bro." Itachi said with a smile. "Oh" I said with a look of embaressment. "Thats actually his name. hehe. Did you say Bro? I thought your brothers name was Sasuke?"
"Our brothers name is Sasuke, my father had an affair with Tsuki Uchiha and Izuna is their son." "Oh I am sorry to hear that it must be very hard for you and your family." Hiruzen said with a look of understanding. "Thank you, it is but that is not what i am here about, I am currently taking care of little Izuna here, and I was wondering if I could get him enrolled into the academy early. Not to graduate early like me, but to prepare him for what his life will be like." 'Hiruzen was surprised by this, Itachi personally recommending someone to the academy for extra time when he himself had only been there a year was something Hiruzen saw as an impossibility.' "How old are you Izuna?" "Three and a half." I replied to the nice old man. "Itachi are you sure hes ready? He isnt even four years old yet. Not everyone is a genius like you." Hiruzen said cautiously. "Izuna knows the leaf chakra exercise and did it all day today while walking around the village with me, I didnt allow him to stop until we just walked in to avoid chakra exhaustion. But thats not all, Izuna has already awoken his sharingan." Itachi said with a small sense of pride. 'Not only knowing the chakra exercise but even being able to use it all day while moving no less, I know several genin who would struggle with that task. He has also already awakened his sharingan and a year before Itachi did at that. As far as Hiruzen was concerned they had a strong shinobi in the making on their hands.' "Ok itachi I will allow him to enter the academy this year when the new school year begins. Now young izuna could you please allow me to speak to your brother for a moment?" "Of course nice old man." I say with a big goofy grin causing the old man to laugh.
Itachi and Hiruzen alone
"Are you training him to go down the same path you are Itachi?" Hiruzen asked with a cold seriousness in his voice. "No Lord Third I am merely trying to prepare him for the life of an Uchiha clan heir, I dont plan on becoming the next clan head and He logically has the role before Sasuke due to being a month older." Hiruzen was surprised by this revelation. 'The next uchiha clan head being raised by someone so loyal to Konaha would be very big for relations' "That sounds like quite the task? you're doing this all yourself itachi?"
"Yes Lord Third I am cleaning up the mess that my father has made." "Your wisdom is beyond your years Itachi, I will admit him to the academy, If you keep training him as well we may have him doing missions in secret before graduation." Hiruzen says to the young Uchiha. "Thank you, I will keep training him. The poor kid has started to grow on me. Shisui even likes him and is teaching him how to be fast or something like that. I just want him to be able to enjoy his life and lead our clan to the peace it needs." Itachi said with a hopeful smile on his face. "You are dismissed Itachi, Raise him right, dont let his mind be tainted by this world, though i dont know him well he seems like a pure soul." Hiruzen says as he looks off out the window. "Goodnight sir." "Goodnight Itachi."
An: Ok so Itachi found out about Izuna's true identity and now Izuna lives with him, This will cause lots of changes, sasuke will spend time with Itachi and Izuna so i dont feel like he will have a Hatred for Izuna but Sasuke wont know about Izuna being his brother till at least the uchiha massacre which i see still happening, as fugaku will be more crazed and less logical, next chapter well get to see Izuna in the academy he will be held back until Sasuke and the rest of Naruto's class then he will start to move up grade levels. Well also find out his chakra natures and possibly see why this Fic is named "imperfect vessel" And no it isnt because of orochimaru though he will be in this fic later on.
