Chapter 48

Ari P.O.V

I moaned as I started to come out of unconsciousness and felt immense pleasure as I felt someone moving in and out of me. Victors scent reached my nose, and I moaned in pleasure as his pace increased.

"I- uh- oh- Victor!" I panted.

"Your so beautiful kitten, and all mine." He said, before his hands stroked up and down my body. I nodded my head, and made a noise of agreement in the back of my throat, unable to form anymore coherent words.

Victor licked my mark, before biting down on it hard. I heard moan as he sucked and lapped at the blood that pooled from the wound. He moved his mouth away from my mark, allowing the wound to heal. His lips claimed my own, and I tasted my blood. I moaned as his thrusts became harder.

"Come with me kitten." He said huskily.

I felt the pressure reach a peak, and I came a moment before Victor did. Victor collapsed on top of me, before rolling over, bringing me with him so that I was on top of him, and he was still in me.

"Good morning kitten." Victor said.

"Morning." I said, as I lay my head on his chest. "Vic?"

"Yeah kitten?"

"We need to talk."

I felt him stiffen slightly. "What about?" His arms tightened around me.

I kissed his chest in assurance. "The wedding. We need to settle a date of some sort."

Victor visibly relaxed, and I laughed. "What did you think I wanted to talk about silly?" I asked.

Victor shrugged. "It could've been anything."

"Yeah, but you can rule out me saying that I don't think me and you are going to work out." I said.

"Good. When do you want the date to be, kitten?"

"Not too far in the future. How 'bout… next summer?" I suggested.

"Sounds good to me. Whatever makes you happy, kitten."

"Can it be outdoors?"

"That's fine. I'd actually prefer that to an indoor wedding. How big do you want it to be?"

I wrinkled my nose. "Not too big. My sister had a load of people at hers, and I found it loud and rowdy, and that was when my senses were human! Maybe just a small group."

"I get the impression your mother wont like having nothing big to plan."

"She'll probably insist on some sort of party afterwards, just to make up for it." I said. Then I shrugged. "I don't care, just so long as the service is nice."

Victor chuckled. "How about we have it in Wales?" he suggested. "I mean, you grew up there, all your friends and family, bar one, are there, and anyone I would want to invite, could get a flight over no problem. And anyway, its nice over there. Not so many anti mutant feelings."

"Until you cross the boarder to England." I said with a smile.

"Well, you cant have everything." he said jokingly.

I shrugged, and kissed him. When we pulled apart I caught sight of an alarm clock. It was nine o'clock.

"Maybe we should get up." I said.

"Do we have to?" He moaned, burying his face in my hair.

"Yes, before my teachers start freaking out. I kinda told them I was going out shopping. That would be an interesting conversation, telling them what I was really up to."

He chuckled. "I can just imagine it. No doubt Xaviers people guessed what you're up to."

"What's your problem with them, anyway?" I asked.

"Conflicting ideals. Its not so much the people, well, except Jimmy."

"Jimmy? I don't think I've met him."

He chuckled. "Oh you have. Logan."

"Why do you call him Jimmy?"

"I always have. Since we were kids. His actual first name is James."

"You knew him growing up?"

"We're brothers."

My head shot up. I looked at him for a moment, and then started laughing.

"What's so funny about that?" He asked.

"Don't you think it's a little odd, that Cari and I are practically twins, and I end up with you, and she ends up with him, and you are brothers?"

He started to laugh. "It is a little funny, yeah." he agreed. When we stopped laughing, he kissed me again. "We should get up, if you want to assure your teachers that your fine."

With that, I pulled myself off him, and we went to take a shower. We didn't take long, and as I was finishing getting dressed, my phone went off. I answered it after glancing at the caller I.D.

"Hey Cari." I said brightly.

"Don't go back to the school!" She said urgently.

"What? Why?" I asked.

"It was attacked last night, we got out, but some of the students weren't so lucky. Oh, Logan wants to talk to Victor."

"Right." I said, my brow creased with worry. I handed Victor my mobile.

"What's up?" he asked. He was silent as Logan said something on the other end of the line. "Tell he not to worry. I'll keep Arianwen in my sight. You just keep your senses on alert Jimmy. You know what Stryker's like." There was some more silence, then, "See you around, Jimmy." He hung up, and looked at the phone for a moment.

"What's happening?" I asked worriedly.

"A human with a special ops team of some sort have attacked the school. The human was General Stryker."

"It was a military operation?" I chocked.

"It may not have been that big. I know Stryker. He's intent on his own war on mutants."

"How do you know him?" I asked.

"Because I used to be apart of the first team that he put together. It wasn't that big, but we did allot of things. Jimmy got out before we went too far, but I never forgave him for leaving. I did allot of things when I worked for him, Ari, and of my own free will too. I killed most of the old team at his order, and killed humans and mutants alike… hell, I even dragged mutants to him so he could experiment on them."

"Is he still doing things like that?" I asked.

"Yes."

"Then we need to find the others! We need to help them!" I said.

He was in front of me, with his hands on my shoulders in a moment. "We cant, Arianwen. Jimmy didn't tell me where they were, all he said was that they would be moving on soon. They were just waiting for the jet. We have to stay here. I'm not putting you in harms way. I know Stryker. I know what he does, and how he does it. Right now, he has his mind focused on a bigger target. If we keep out of the lime light, he'll look us over, and this will all get sorted out. It'll all be fine."

I nodded, and he pulled me over onto the sofa, and sat us both down, pulling me onto his lap, and wrapped his arms round me tightly.
