AN: sorry for the late update I have not been feeling up to writing the last couple of days and was struggling on how to not make Izuna too powerful before the start of the canon. Anyways lets get back into this
Winter 6 years after the 9 tails attack(Izuna Pov)
I had been in the ninja academy for 2 years at this point. The whole year i was allowed to only go up to the middle of the class rankings if I ever got higher Itachi would get the Hokage to lower my rank. He always told me I needed extra practice to not only protect myself but also Sasuke. I don't know why I need to protect him or what from but since Itachi told me to I will, plus ive gotten to know my younger brother a lot better than I used to and I dont want anything to happen to him. I definetly don't want anything to happen to Itachi or Shisui, who finally taught me how to get almost as fast as he is, Shisui spent a lot more time around me nowadays since him and Itachi had started to get more missions together.
"You're getting faster but not fast enough to beat me yet." Shisui said with a smile on his face while messing with me. "You dont have to go as fast as me Izuna you are still only 6 years old, you've even beaten how fast I was at your age." While that did make me feel better I still was upset i couldnt beat him in a race. "Im at least faster than Itachi is hehe" I said while looking over at my older brother who was reading a book. He looked up when he heard that and laughed. "Well ive never raced you Izuna how do you know im not faster than Shisui?" Itachi said with a slight smirk.
"Thats simple Itachi, are you known as "Itachi of the body flicker"? No? I didnt think so" "Well Itachi it looks like you and Izuna arent to different in Intelligence." Shisui said while laughing. "I graduated the academy at his age Shisui." Itachi said with a deadpanned look. "But I awoke my sharingan before you" I said while sticking my tounge out at my proud older brother. "I didnt pass out when I awoke mine" Itachi shot back. "Well I-" "Both of you dorks shut up I get it you both did cool stuff as children. Lets stop arguing and go get something to eat im hungry and i bet you are too after all that running Izuna." Shisui said cutting me off.
"Fine im hungry too." I say while pouting. "Aww I didnt mean to upset you little buddy. Im sorry." "Its fine, but you owe me 3 more speed lessons!" I say while smiling, Shisui was really nice so it was easy to get him to do stuff for me when i was upset. "Wow Shisui you fall for that same trick at least once a week." "Its not my fault he just looks so cute when hes sad Itachi. How can I say no to that?"
"I can go to eat though Id like to bring Sasuke, I'll go grab him and meet you two at the barbecue." I wanted to pick up sasuke with Itachi but Itachis mother really didnt like me for some reason. "Ok Itachi Ill see you and Sasuke there, lets go Shisui." "Ok im coming see you there Itachi."
On the way to the barbecue I made Shisui go ahead so I could go see my mother. She had gone back to active duty once I moved in with Itachi. Being a jonin she got a lot of hard missions and eventually she met one she couldnt complete, when she got back to us she was missing her eyes. It hurt losing her a lot, I felt like I had lost a part of myself. I was worried when I saw she was missing her eyes. When I was really young she showed me her special eyes that she called the magneto or something sharingan, They had a weird flowerlike pattern that looked like it was missing something in the middle, as if they were incomplete, she told me they would be mine one day but I didnt know what she meant by that. Why would I want her eyes? When I got to her grave I made sure to wipe off anything that had gotten on it and sat down next to it. "I miss you mom, I know you always told me I was destined for great things but its hard to believe when im surrounded by such amazing people as Itachi and Shisui. Even dad I know he loved you as much as you loved him, I saw him cry when you died. It was almost as much as I had. I love you mom and I know you loved me too, I have to go now but i'll bring you some flowers soon!" With those last words I hurried off to meet Shisui at the barbecue.
As Izuna left a man with a large bandage on his face watched and studied him. "To think his mothers eyes have helped me out this much, Ive been able to indoctrinate many young villagers into my Root, The only person who's eyes i want as bad as I wanted Tsuki Uchiha's is his friend Shisui's. It appears his mother was right about him being destined for great things Im sure his eyes will mature and serve me well too" Danzo said while leaving laughing maniacally.
At the Barbecue
"Guess who?" I said as I put my hands over Sasukes eyes from behind him. "Is that you Izuna?" Sasuke said while smiling happy "Wow we must have another genius on our hands. You got it right." I said while sitting down next to my younger brother. Though he never knew he was my younger brother I still loved him as such. "How was your day today? you should be starting the academy this year right?" "It was good Izuna. Yeah i am joining the academy this year! You are joining it as well right?" "Of course im joining the academy. how could I let you become a Genin before me when im older?" No one But a few important members of our clan and the hokage knew of my time in the academy, I always had to wear a mask and use a fake name when I was there so this was the first time 'I' was joining the academy as Izuna.
"yeah you two should be in the same class Izuna, I hope you guys dont make it too hard on the teachers." Itachi said while snickering "We wont!" Me and my younger brother shouted while sticking our tounges out at Itachi. "Im sure they wont Itachi but they definitely will be making it hard on the two of us asking them to train them so they can be in the top of the class." Shisui said while looking towards an Itachi who looked fake scared. "Oh no That sounds awful I might just have to run away with the two of them pestering us." Itachi said with a smile. "You two suck." sasuke said samking everyone in the group laugh. I was happy The happiest I had been since my mother had died.
A notorius day 7 Years after the nine tails attack
"Izuna lets go grab some food after school today" Sasuke said while walking up to me in the classroom. "Im sorry Sasuke but I cant go today I have to go do something but you should grab something for you and your mom and dad here." I said while giving him some ryo. Itachi told me to hurry back after school to talk with him at a cliff where Shisui had died a few weeks prior. He also told me to make sure sasuke didnt come home early and to delay him as much as I could. I didnt know why but something felt off about today, as if somethign terrible was going to happen. "Ok Izuna Ill see you later then" Sasuke said while walking away.
Later that day
"Itachi!" I yelled as I got to the cliff he told me to go to. "Shh Izuna this is serious we cant have anyone know you met with me." Itachi said in his anbu uniform as he dropped down from a tree nearby. "Why not? is something happening Itachi?" "Yes and No Izuna. I love you and Sasuke more than anything and thats why as the older of the two of you im meeting with you now."
Why did Itachi need to meet me this sounds like a final goodbye is he going on a suicide mission or something?
"Izuna, There is a very bad man in konoha, And though he is bad he is also as powerful as the hokage in all but name. His name is Danzo, He is the reason Shisui is dead He is the reason I have to do what I am about to do." "What? Danzo? Shisui was killed by him and didnt commit suicide? What are you about to do Itachi" I said. I was distraught I just learned life changing imformation. "I cant answer all of your questions but I can answer some Izuna, Danzo is a village elder. The Uchiha clan was planning a coup. They were going to overthrow the hokage and become the new rulers of the leaf. Shisui and I were working with the Hokage to stop this from happening but Danzo Killed Shisui to take his Mangenkyo sharingan which had the ability to make the clan not go through with the coup. He said If I Killed the rest of the clan he would keep Sasuke alive. He never insured your safety so I am here to warn you. When we are done with this conversation you are to do one thing. RUN AS FAST AND FAR AS YOU CAN INTO THE FOREST!" "O-ok It-tachi I Love you I am going to miss you" I said while starting to cry. "Izuna you need to protect Sasuke once im gone, I am going to send him to get you once he breaks out of a genjutsu I put on him to get him to hate me, He needs to grow strong and he wont have the motivation without a hatred for me. Now Izuna go" I started running, but before i was too far i turned around crying. "I love you Itachi!" With that I ran as fast and far as i could into the forest. "I love you too Izuna" Itachi says as he puts his mask on and goes to start the massacre.
The forest Izuna Ran into (? POV)
This planet he had been sent to on his first mission by his clan was a test to see if he could ever become a strong Otsutsuki. He was to find out what happened to Kaguya and Isshiki and why the clan hadnt heard from either of them in thousands of years. Rishiki was an Infant in terms of Otsutsuki time being only 150 years he had never conquered a planet and only knew of how to consume a worlds chakra in a techincal sense having never done it. This mission if completed would have him assigned a lower class otsutsuki to feed to planets to eat their chakra and become more powerful. all he had were two eyes green and rippled that he didnt know the full extent of their powers as he has never faced adversity in his life. once he landed upon this planet he found that there was chakra everywhere, And he had been attacked by a mountain full of long tube shaped creatures massive in size. He knew after killing one of these creatures that if he stayed his death was assured, so he ran into a forest and felt a weird feeling hit him as he realized he had been poisoned in some way. He was dying and needed a vessel to come back. He felt someone coming and hoped for the one in a million chance that this someone would be his perfect vessel. He ran through his mind all the knowledge he knew of karma marks and how to use them, He didnt have long, maybe 10-15 minutes and he would be dead.
Izuna Pov
As I ran I smelled blood in the air and heard the screams of my clan. I didnt care all I could do was do what Itachi had told me, run. After running for half an hour I saw a weird man with ghostly white skin leaned up against a tree vomiting blood, when he saw me he smiled held up his hand and shot something at me so fast I couldnt dodge. It hit me on the right side of my chest and felt an immense pain as I passed out.
Rinshiki saw he had hit the boy with his karma and was hopeful, excited that he would survive. He went to make sure he had hit him and as Rinshiki removed The boys shirt he saw a karma mark glow in a black and green aura. Rinshiki was relieved as he saw this and sighed, He then immediatly started freaking out as the mark changed color, to white. Dammit His body can handle the power of an Otsutsuki But my soul didnt stick, and I have no more things to give my power to. With the last Chakra he had inside him Rinshiki created a seal full of his chakra inside the boy sealing it and himself inside the boys conciousness in a way he saw other large bodies of chakra sealed inside the beings of this planet. Though he knew he couldnt come back with the power this boy would achieve through the rewriting of his dna to be that of an otsutsuki Rinshiki knew he could help and would become a legend if this boy became the new leader as rinshiki was projected to be due to how strong his eyes had apparently been. Rinshiki then entered a state of rest inside this boys body to get used to his new form as nothing more than chakra.
The snakes that followed Rinshiki had finally caught up and saw the young Izuna passed out next to the dead Rinshiki. They ate Rinshiki and took the boy back to Ryuuchi cave, Having just fought Rinshiki The snakes knew just how powerful a child would have to be to survive an encounter with the unearthly being. They wanted to train this boy, In secret. The current snake summoning master would not know, This boys name would not be on the summoning scroll he would have a deeper connection with the sage creatures than Orochimaru ever had.
AN: Well There it is Izuna Like code in Boruto is an Imperfect vessel, He can posess the strength of an Otsutsuki, But he can not house the soul to overwrite his own. I wanted Izuna to be able to learn about How to use his new eyes he will eventually awaken to. But youll see how that goes later. as for the snakes I needed to find a way for an otsutsuki However inexperienced to be killed, and an unexpected venom seemed like the best way for that to happen in my opinion.
