Now to meet the one and only Larry!

Emma and Leo were quietly following Lance to the door to Wyvernia. Lance had been going back and forth a lot lately and no one knows why. Balan won't say anything, leaving the two teens to figure it out themselves. They waited until he closed the door behind him to make their move.

"Are you sure this is a good idea Leo? Lance is not going to like that we are following him."

"I'm sure of it. Since Balan won't answer then we'll have to figure it out ourselves." Leo says as he opens the door and they both enter. They find themselves in a large jungle. They hid behind one of the very large roots that was everywhere. Lance was sitting on a large rock, looking as if he was waiting for something.

"I know you two are there." Lance didn't turn around as he spoke. The two came out of hiding and walked up to him.

"You shouldn't be here. There was a reason I said I didn't want anyone following me."

"Well we want answers. Why are you coming here often? Leo started.

"Why I come here is my own reason and no one else's. It's better that way." Lance answered as he still looked forward, not looking at them. There was silence for a few minutes until he spoke again.

"You two aren't going anywhere until I answer, are you?" Lance asked, even though he knew the answer.

"Yep." They both answered.

"Fine. I'll tell you why I'm here." He turns to face them to tell his story.

"A few years ago, I made something that shouldn't even exist. I, on complete accident, infected a monster with negativity." Lance started.

"You infected a monster? I didn't know that was possible." Emma was surprised that Lance could do that. Sure he could do it to people, but never a monster.

"Yes. Even I was shocked when that happened. Unfortunately, it had to be one of the worst monsters to ever exist. They call it the Deviljho."

"Deviljho? That sounds weird." Leo started.

"How is it the worst?" Emma asked as she didn't like that it was called the worst.

"The Deviljho is nicknamed the World Eater. It is a monstrosity that devours every living creature in its path, to the point where all living creatures in one place are gone. The one I infected does the same thing, but whenever it has a negative thought it becomes a true nightmare. The worst part is that almost every single village has made me public enemy number one because of it."

"WHAT?! But you just said it was an accident!" Leo shouted in rage.

"The people didn't take it lightly. They said I had doomed the world because of that accident. As punishment I must find and defeat it. But every time I come so close to winning it hits me with its breath." Lance answered in a sour tone.

"Its breath? That sounds silly." Leo thought Lance was joking.

"Yes. There is something about it that makes me crazy. Every time I breathe it in, which is on accident by the way, it makes me lose my sanity and act delusional. This time I came prepared." Lance confidently said as he revealed a gas mask.

"After all these years, I finally have the advantage over you Larry!" Lance shouted with glee. The two teens were confused in seeing him in a happy state.

"Right. I think we'll just go now." Leo said as they both started to leave, making the situation less awkward. They both went back into hiding to see what a Deviljho looked like. It was only fifteen minutes until there was a loud roar. Afterwards a stampede of smaller monsters ran by, with Larry revealing himself. He looked like any normal Deviljho, except for the fact the left side of his face was black.

"So Larry, you've decided to show yourself." Lance said as he was still sitting. The teens saw that Larry looked like one thing…

"That looks like a giant pickle!" Leo couldn't hold in the laughter as Emma joined in as well.

"You may have won all the past times, but this time I'll come out on top!" Lance yelled as he charged at Larry. Lance jumps up high and strikes the Deviljho's head with his tentacles. Larry swings his head around to bite, only to miss Lance.

"Wow. Didn't think he had that in him." Leo said as he was impressed with Lance's fighting skills.

"I know. You think Balan would have said something." Emma commented as well. It was at that moment she realized something.

"Wait. This answers the biggest question everyone had: Why he loves pickles."

"I don't get it Emma. What do you mean?" Leo was confused on how she was comparing them.

"That looks like a pickle. Pickles are food. That means Larry is the cause of his liking for pickles." Emma answered hoping it would get through to Leo.

"Oh. Now I get it." They both here a strange noises coming from the fight. There was a black and red cloud coming from Larry's mouth. Lance wasn't affected by it with the gas mask on.

"HA! Take that Larry! Thought you could get me this time? To that I say HA!" Lance shouted in victory. That victory would be short lived as Larry slapped him with his tail, knocking the gas mask off. Lance scrambled for the mask, but Larry stomped on it, crushing it to pieces.

"Ah ha ha ha. Perhaps I can take you to my brother. I heard he's great with helping people like you. Or in your case, a monster." Lance sheepishly spoke as Larry glared at him. He unleashed his breath, leaving Lance to scream in pain. The teens looked away as the pain looked extremely bad. Larry walked away, with a smug look on his face. Leo and Emma go to see if Lance was okay, only to find him okay physically. Mentally though…

"OH NO! The trees are moving their arms! They're moving like danger noodles!" Lance shouted. The teens couldn't help but laugh at his delusion. Lance stands up and walks in a funny fashion.

"I say we go this way. NO! This way! Can you two stop arguing?! Look! A giant puppy!" Lance ran around in circles as he continued.

Later…

"So you two followed him?" Balan asked as they returned from Wyvernia.

"Yes, and it was worth it." Leo said as he tried to contain his laugh. Lance comes running in, thinking he was a chicken.

"Let me guess, he got hit by Larry's breath, didn't he?" Balan already knew the answer though.

"He did, and I've never seen him this cheery before." Emma answered, trying not to laugh.

"Imma gonna eat this whole cheese wheel!" Even though Lance was holding a loaf of bread.

"Great. Now I have to deal with this for the next three hours." Balan grumbled as he tried to stop him from getting in the firework closet.

And there's this chapter. Would have had it made sooner, but I've been working on another story that will be coming soon. Until then, see ya.
