In nature, there are symbiotic relationships. Symbiotic relationships are when plants and animals work in conjunction, unity, and in a balanced manner with each other. It's almost like gears turning against each other to the other work. However, there's one grand relationship between each other.

"Hey! Musuko! Wake up!" A young man called as he walked in his room and tried shaking a kid awake. "Hey! I said wake up!"

"Go away..." The guy groaned as he wanted to stay in bed.

"You're going to be late." The boy said as he pulled the sheets off.

"Wait?! Really?! Oh shoot!" He shot straight out of bed and moved as fast as he could. He grabbed his clothes, fixed himself as best as he could, and grabbed a special pair of goggles. "V! Why didn't you wake me up instead of Koji?!"

"I was sleeping like you!" A blue creature said as they both hurried past his father and grabbed a quick breakfast.

"Boy, you need to get responsible! You're seventeen now!" His father called.

"Later, Dad! Thanks, Koji!" The boy called as he grabbed a skateboard.

"You really need to grow, bro." Koji said in a playful manner. "We better get going to, Gatomon."

"Coming." A white cat said as she walked out with him. With that, the blue creature jumped right on his back and he rode his skateboard out of his family's house by the ocean and straight into the city known as Odaiba. In this period of time lies one of the greatest symbiotic relationships there is: the relationship between humans and digimon.

"Watch out, Odabia! Here we come!"

"Easy, Veemon!" Musuko said as he rode his board into the city with Veemon on his back. passing by all the humans with their digimon partners. Over thirty years ago, the relationship between humans and digimon were rough. Many thought digimon were like wild animals or dangerous monsters that just wanted to destroy their way of life, but that's not true. Humans and digimon are capable of living together and make each other stronger. An example of that are the digidestined, and a certain group help made it all possible. They all worked together and were able to break what divided humans and digimon. Now, they all live together as two worlds now act like one. It's now an era where even their children are living in such a world.

"Wow..." Musuko said as he stopped over a bridge and checked out the view. Musuko Motomiya here is the son of two digidestined that helped changed both worlds. He is the eldest son of Davis and Kari Motomiya. He, his younger brother Koji, and their friends fought for both worlds and protected them. In fact, they were saving both worlds when they were only about seven.

"Come on, Musuko. We better get going or else you're going to be late." Veemon said.

"Dang it. You're right." Musuko said as got moving again.

Around ten years ago, both worlds were living peacefully with each other. That all changed when dark forces were aroused in the Digital World. Musuko and three of his friends were chosen to save the world since they were the ones that inherited the power of these infamous crests that their parents had. Their digimon were the first ones of their special group to ever go through a process called digivolution. They defeated forces like LadyDevimon and a digimon named Nyjomon. Along the way, Koji joined the team. Being able to have their digimon become mega, they also defeated the likes of Daemon and a different set of Dark Masters.

Years after that, they had to face fellow digidestined that called themselves the Digi-Destroyers. Manipulated by a dark force named Dragomon, they wanted to destroy the Digital World. The leader of that group was named William, the son of their American friend named Willis. Having lost his way, Musuko and the others helped him find it and he joined the team. With William's help, they defeated Dragomon and the Digi-Destroyers for good. Ever since, they've been living in peace. Speaking of his friends...

...

"Later, Mom! Come on, Palmon." A boy said as he got out of a car with his partner.

"Have a good day, Mason. Remember that we're all having a dinner at a fancy restaurant to celebrate your stepfather's and mine wedding anniversary."

"I know, Mom. You dragged me around to get a new outfit." Mason said.

"Bye!" Palmon said as his mother drove away. Mason Tachikawa is the son of Mimi Kamiya. Mason's parents got divorced when he was a kid, but she remarried to her old friend, Tai Kamiya, and he ended up becoming Tai's stepson. Tai's son, Tyson, also became his stepbrother.

...

In another part of town, another young man was walking out his apartment building.

"Oh, shoot! I forgot something!" The boy said.

"Benson, wait up!" He looked up to see his partner fly down with a book he forgot.

"Thanks, Patamon." Benson said as he took the book. Benson Takashi is the son of T.K. Takashi. He and Musuko have been best friends since they were little. He and Musuko were on the same wavelength, but things changed a bit when William joined the group. Still, the two of them are best friends and that hasn't changed.

...

Meanwhile, a little tennis practice was going on. A certain girl was putting some real effort into it. She gave the ball a good serve that couldn't be returned. After a hard practice, a pink bird handed her a water bottle.

"Here, Natalie."

"Thanks, Biyomon." Natalie said as she chugged down some water. "Okay. Who's up for more practice?"

"No way."

"Can't you give us a break?" All the other girls were exhausted. She was not pleased at all with everyone slacking like that.

"Whatever." Natalie said as she just walked away with annoyance. Natalie Ishida is the daughter of Matt and Sora Ishida. She's also the only girl out of the six. As she walked over and laid down, she noticed someone shadowing her. She opened up her eyes to see it was her little brother, Toby, with his partner. Gabumon. "What are you doing here?"

"You forgot your lunch." Toby said as he handed her lunch.

"Your mother asked to drop it off." Gabumon said.

"Oh, thanks." Natalie said as she took it.

"Come on, Natalie! Get off your butt!" They all looked and saw Natalie's tennis team was putting some effort into their practice again. "We still have some work to do."

"Oh please... Trying to show off for my baby brother? He's not that cute." Natalie said as she stood up.

"Hey! Quit calling me your "baby" brother. You're only two years older than me." Toby complained, but Natalie couldn't help but mock her brother.

...

"Good morning." A rabbit-like digimon said as he and his partner arrived at the school.

"You don't have to do that every time, Lopmon."

"Sorry, William." Lopmon said. "I just can't help it. Out of all the schools you've been in, I love being at this one since all our closest friends are here." William, the last one of the group. His father, Willis, might be American, but he's actually lived in Japan for a long time. He might have live in a different part of Japan called Shibuya, but he found a way to go to the same school as his friends.

"William!" Musuko called as he and Veemon arrived at the school as they rode right into schoolgrounds. "How's it going?!"

"You better be careful with that board. You know the teachers hate it when you ride it in the halls!" William called. Ever since they were kids, they've all done what they could for both worlds. Now, they're growing up into young adults. That means they have bright futures, but also hard choices to come.

...

The School

"What do you think? Is this not the hottest style?" A girl asked her friend as she showed some fashions in a magazine. While all the students were gathering for class, their partners went to a different part of the school until the day was over.

"I guess, but what about Mrs. Ishida's styles?" Another girl said as she looked them over.

"She might be the mother of my best friend, but I'm entitled to my opinions when it comes to fashion." The girl claimed.

"Hey, Cassie. Hey, Uria." Musuko said as he spotted the girls. Cassie Ichijoji, oldest daughter of Ken and Yolei Ichijoji. Uria Hida, daughter of another digidestined named Cody. "What's going on?"

"Showing Cassie the latest styles." Uria said.

"Yawn." Musuko said as he already looked board.

"You laugh, but when I hit fashion school, don't expect any discounts. I'll have everything so in that even you will follow my styles. Maybe you'll even trim that bird nest you call hair." Uria said.

"Very funny." Musuko said. "What about you, Cassie? Anything going on with you?"

"Not really." Cassie said. "I've been a little busy with college prep classes and deciding what school to attend to. Don't you think you should be doing the same, Musuko? You're not seriously planning to bounce a soccer ball and ride on your skateboard for the rest of your life, are you?"

"What if I am?" Musuko said as he didn't really seem to care. That was when he felt someone tap him on the head.

"Shouldn't you be getting to class?" Musuko turned around and was faced with someone he knew well.

"Uncle Tai? What are you doing here?" Musuko said.

"One of Mason's teachers asked me to come in to talk about careers." Tai said. "Being a diplomat, she thought I would be a great example. In fact, why don't you come with me." He said with Musuko reluctantly following.

"Uh oh. I guess being the savior of two worlds doesn't prevent you from getting in trouble." Uria teased.

"Careful, Uria. You sound jealous." Cassie said as the two girls walked away.

...

Musuko

"Want a donut, Musuko?"

"Thanks, Agumon." Musuko said as he helped himself to a donut. Tai took Musuko to an empty class so that they could talk.

"So, Musuko, have you thought much about your future?" Tai said as he was sorting through some papers.

"Aren't parents and teachers suppose to come down on you with something like that?" Musuko said as he could see where this was going. "You're more like the fun uncle to me, Uncle Tai, that doesn't take things serious."

"Hey! I can be serious! We're still family, Musuko." Tai said. "I'm being serious right now. Aren't you going to takeover your father's noodle business? I can't believe I said that with a straight face."

"Not really. Business stuff like that isn't my thing." Musuko said. "I much rather go pro in soccer. Dad would want me to follow my own dreams."

"I'm sure he would. He would much rather have you follow your own dreams." Tai said. "Still, you should have an education to fall back on." He could see that he was already loosing Musuko. "Look, I get you're a little unsure and undecisive. I was the same, and a lot of others are the same. It's not easy growing up, but you have a future to think about. You can't expect things to stay the same."

"Why not?" Musuko asked.

"That's just not how life works." Tai said. "Don't worry, Musuko. I'm sure you'll see it all when the time comes." Musuko didn't take too much of what Tai said seriously, but he'll soon see. One thing that has stayed the same is that when one world is in danger, the other will be, and they'll have to rise up and face that challenge. Something is awaiting Musuko and the others in their future, and they'll have to make some tough decisions and learn what it really means to grow up.

AN: Okay, a couple things I want to say.

First thing you should know is that I did a couple stories called New Generation that tied with this years ago, plus some other stories that are tied to them, some that take place in the 25 year epilogue of season 2 called. If you need help making sense of the story, just go there, find them, and check them out. Also, I was an amateur writer. If you read those old stories and have a problems with them, I get it.

Second, not really important to the story. I just thought you like to know I have a poll going on.
