Hello. This is my first attempt at writing a fanfiction, so expect some errors here and there. I will try to improve myself with this, so any constructive criticism is welcomed. Never did play Balan Wonderworld, only read what is seen on the Fandom site and others, so characters may be a bit ooc.

Now then you are probably wondering how I got the idea to make a crossover of Monster Hunter and Balan Wonderworld. You see I was at work one day just letting my imagination run wild, then one thing popped in my head: Tims dressed up as monsters from Monster Hunter. Since then, it just developed into a thing of its own. Before I ever thought of writing this story, I looked through the internet to see if anyone had the same idea of a Balan and Monster Hunter crossover, but my search ended up fruitless. So, I took it upon myself to fill in that gap and here we are. Without further ado, let us start this story.

Balan Wonderworld is owned by Square Enix.

Monster Hunter is owned by Capcom.

I only own my oc hunters.

Cass was not having a good day at all. Ever since she got to school in the morning it was a mess. She forgot to bring her homework, got absolutely pulverized in gym, and worse the bullies who made fun of her got on her nerves. They said some terrible things about her cat.

"So that cat got its rabies shot yet? Wouldn't want it to go crazy. Hahaha."

"Your cat is the most ugliest thing I've ever seen."

"You should just get rid of it. Don't waste your time."

Cass of course wasn't having any of it. The one place she could think of to help her calm down was the Theatre. She ran as fast as she could with tears running down her face. She finally arrives and enters the Theatre to find Balan, only to be met by Iben.

"Hello Cass. Is something wrong?" Iben asked noticing the tears on her face.

"I had a terrible day at school. It was worse when those meanies made fun of my cat. Do you know where Balan could be?"

"Yes I do. He is helping Haoyu, but that may be a while. Haoyu hurt himself again."

"Okay. I'll wait then." Cass says as she heads to the main theatre room that enters to Wonderworld. She wondered what Haoyu did that got himself hurt again. As she gazed around the room, she noticed a hallway that she didn't recognized. She and everyone else have gone through this same room multiple times, but never did she ever see this hallway. Maybe she just didn't pay attention as much. With curiosity getting the best of her she goes to investigate.

Looking down the hallway she sees a new large room. It was a rather odd one: several trees along rocky walls, a pond with some coral in it, a large sand pit, and what looked like a small cliff along the wall with snow on it. On the other side of the room was a large door. Cass goes to see what the door looked like.

The door design was even more bizarre: there was a red wyvern like creature on it. On its left was some gorilla like creature with horns. On its right were little blue dinosaur creatures with yellow beaks. On one handle there was an old dusty sign that said "ENTER".

"Is this a new way to Wonderworld? I know the train goes there, so why didn't Balan or Lance tell us anything about this?" Cass askes herself as she opens the door to enter, once she entered the sign fell off. However, the dust fell off and on the top of the sign it said "DO NOT", meaning the sign said do not enter.

Minutes later the Theatre's bug enthusiast Yuri walked in. She was coming to spend some time in her area of Wonderworld. As she was approaching the stage she heard a noise near the right edge.

"Hello? Is anyone there?" She asks out loud. She goes to investigate and finds a somewhat odd sight. It was a bug, but not like any she had ever seen before. The body was like a beetle with grasshopper legs. The most distinguishing feature though was the horn on its head and the spike that went over it. But the interesting part was its size, being about the same size as a cat.

"Hello. What kind of bug are you?" She starts to pick it up, to which the bug didn't seem to mind.

"Maybe Balan or Lance know what you are. I'll ask them once I find them."

"So now Haoyu, what have we learned?"

"To not use blankets as a parachute."

"Wonderful Haoyu, now lets get going. I feel that Cass is in need of my help." Balan says with his never-ending enthusiasm. Haoyu was attempting an emergency exit for his plane by jumping out with a blanket parachute, but that failed terribly. He was lucky that some Soaring Sheep were able to soften his fall. He still ended up with some bruises though. Lucky Balan, being the Maestro he is, ran and helped however he could. He comes to the main theatre, only to find it empty.

"I do say wherever could you be Cass? Is it hide and seek you wish to play young lass?"

"Uh Balan, who are you talking to?" asked Yuri, who was standing there as Balan appeared.

"I felt Cass was in need of help, so I came running. Do you know where she went Yuri?"

"No, but I did find this odd bug walking in here." Yuri answers as she is seen holding the bug in question. The moment Balan saw the bug his cheery face he usually bares turned into a face of fear.

"Uh Yuri, where did you find that bug?" He asks trying to hide his fear, which was not working.

"I found it near the edge of the stage. Why do you ask?" She answers, noticing his fear.

"You didn't have to have opened a door that said do not enter, did you?" He asks hoping she didn't.

"No."

"Oh no." Balan proceeds to dash to the room with the door Cass went through. He finds it opened, along with a few more of the bugs Yuri found. He also takes note of shoe prints that match the size Cass wears in the sand pit. It only meant one thing.

"DAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH! Lance! The door has been opened! We got Cass on the loose in there! She could be in great danger!" Balan yelled out in pure terror as he ran out the fastest he's ever gone. Yuri didn't fully understand what was behind that door but seeing that he was scared it was probably a bad thing.

Cass was awestruck with what she was seeing. When she entered the door she found herself in a forest. This forest though was different than Wonderworld. It felt more wild and pure, making her question whether she was in Wonderworld or not.

"Wow. Am I in Sana or Jose's part of Wonderworld, or is this all a dream?" She continued to walk for a bit, unaware that she was being watched.

"What is a child doing in the forest? Doesn't she know there are Velociprey causing trouble around here?" a young man in silver armor asked his furry cat companion.

"I don't know Meowster, but I heard her say something about a Wonderworld." The cat answered.

"Wonderworld? Hmm, seems like Balan may have forgotten about the entry to our world. Well we better get to her fast, cause I see those Velociprey making a beeline for her." The young man says pointing to the said creatures that Cass wasn't aware of.

"Where is everyone? I am now thinking that I am not in the Theatre anymore." She tought to herself with worry. Then she heard a rustling from behind. She turns around to see the said Velociprey charging at her. Cass screams in fear thinking it's her end, but she hears a loud yell.

"Heeyyaaaaaa! Get lost you filthy monsters!" She sees a silver armored person jump out of hiding, wielding a large silver sword that had a red glow coming off it. She also sees what looked like a humanoid cat holding a smaller version of his sword as well. He swings his sword, sending a few Velociprey flying into a tree. One tried to jump on him from behind but was immediately countered by the cat. The Velociprey, seeing that they were outmatched, began to retreat. Waiting until they were fully gone, the young man goes to Cass.

"Hello there. You don't seem to be from around here."

Oh my. Seems like Cass has entered the world of Monster Hunter. What does Balan and Lance know about this place that made Balan run in fear? Who is this hunter, and how does he know about Wonderworld? Tune in next time for the next chapter of Balan Monsterworld.

I will be honest with you readers; I was almost tempted into scraping this story. Why? Well, I was all pumped up in writing it, but then I heard about all the drama between Square Enix and Yuji lately and it really got me down. I just couldn't take seeing the story on both sides. I was almost tempted into throwing off Balan Wonderworld and anything to do with it, including anyone who was a fan. But then I realized what was going on with them wasn't our fault. I know Balan Wonderworld has potential, and I still do. I only hope that they can figure this out in a peaceful way.
