Chapter 68

Ari P.O.V

It was one of the nice warm days of summer today, so the guys and I were going to the natural pools. It was beautiful up there. Nice and peaceful, and there was no chlorine in the water, so it was more comfortable for me and Cari to swim in.

On the walk up to them, Cari discovered a new ability.

"It must be cool for you, Tigris, to just be able to summon fire to you like 'BAM!'" She said, flaring her hand outwards. We all jumped as a flame leapt from her hand, and sailed into the stream. We were all silent until; "WICKED!" Cari yelled, and she jumped up and down, pumping her fist in the air in triumph.

"Oh shit, the pyromaniac has a fire ability." Paddy said, laughing nervously.

I gasped. "Could I possibly breathe under water and manipulate it like you could. If I can then…"

"We can use our abilities, and our twin bond…"

"Is getting so much cooler!"

"And freakier to those who don't know you." Paddy said.

Cari and I shrugged. We didn't care if we freaked them out or not. Then we smiled at each other. "RACE YOU!" We yelled at the same time, and took off running.

We had all worn our swimming costumes under our clothes, so as Cari and I got closer to the pools, we took off our clothes while running. When we reached the edge, we dropped the bundles, and jumped in. I stayed under the surface of the water and attempted to see if I could use Cari's ability. I sucked in a breath, and instead of my lungs being filled with water, they were filled with air. I watched from my position under water as Paddy, Mark, Faith and Luce jumped in as well. I started to swim round, never breaking the surface. I really enjoyed this.

Cari stuck her head under water and sent me a thumbs up. I sent one back, and grinned. I saw Faith was facing away from me, so I swam across to her, and grabbed her ankles. I heard her scream of surprise, as she went under. I broke the surface, laughing. Faith stood back up, completely soaked. She narrowed her eyes at me, and then she looked up. She seemed to chirp, and suddenly I had a load of birds flying round me.

"Cari! How do I manipulate the water?- oh stuff it!" I started splashing the birds with water, and they flew off.

I was laughing by the end of it. "That was just mean!" I laughed.

"So was pulling me under water." Faith said.

I stuck my tongue out at her, a gesture that she was quick to return. We all just messed around, enjoying each other's company and just being kids for a couple of hours.

When we were heading back, Cari got a phone call. She glanced at the caller I.D and grinned. She practically started bouncing as she answered. "Hey Logan!" she said. "What do you mean you're in Wales? Really? You must have taken a wrong turn. A very bad wrong turn. Tenby is miles away. Yes I'm sure. I've lived in Wales my entire life. You're not even in the Rhondda Valley's. Look, just find your way to the seafront. I'll drive up and meet you. May take me a while mind. See you soon. Love you." She hung up. "What is it with men getting lost and being to stubborn to ask strangers for directions?" She sighed.

I cackled madly. "He got lost?"

"Yeah. I'd better go guys. I need to go find him before he decides he can find his own way."

"Just teleport over there, and get him to drive you back." Luce suggested. "Then you can give him directions, here, to your car, and then you can lead him back to yours. Hey, it's lucky your parents are on that cruise this week."

"Not really." Cari said. "I told him ages ago. He must have planned it."

"Just go get him." I said. You can grill him later."

"Right. See you guys later." Cari said, and she hugged each of us, and then teleported away.
